The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean eagerly followed Andrew, though he was desperately trying not too look like an excited puppy.
"So do you know how old this place is?" Tasean asked, making small talk as he followed Andrew into the main part of the Mansion. "It is a really beautiful place"
He placed his hands into the pockets of his jeans, trying not to look so fidgety and awe-struck.
"I know some people who would sell their first born child to just rent this place for a weekend and have a awesome function!" Tasean said, failing miserably and keeping his excitement in check

Tasean smiled as Andrew approached. He took the offered hand, and then pulled Andrew into a hug.
"No didn't have much trouble getting here, besides those crazed maniac people called New York drivers, everything was fine." Tasean said smirking.
He looked around the garage and then looked back to Andrew. "Are there really invisible mutants in this place?" Tasean asked. His eyes keep darting here and there, thinking he saw something on his peripheral. "Or are you just pulling the like of this 'ole country bumpkin?"
Tasean was smiling and laughing as always, but inside he was shaking with excitement and nervousness. He was ready to get the tour started, and see what other wonders this place held. And he wanted to meet some other mutants. That had been on his mind since he left the park yesterday.

Tasean drove slowly down the driveway taking in the sights. As long as he'd been alive he had never seen a house so big.
"I'm definitely going to look like the country bumpkin visiting his big city cousin" Tasean said to himself.
As he rounded the drive to the garage Tasean began to compose himself. He didn't want to embarass himself infront of Tasean, or anyone else he might happen across on his tour of the mansion. He parked his car and got out slowly, removing the bluetooth from his ear. He decided to leave his cell phone in the car, he didn't know the rules about phones with cameras on then at this place.
Just for fun, and because the garage was rather big Tasean yelled out "Hello!" just to hear the echo.

"Hey Kenny Ray" Tasean said "Yeah I should be pulling up here any..........whoa!"
As he was talking to Andrew, Tasean drove up to the gated mansion. Tasean knew that the place was big, but definitely not this big.
"You definitely weren't kidding when you said it was a mansion were you? And I thought some of the old plantation houses back home were big. This place is huge! My apartment can probably fit in one of the closets here!" Tasean said and then began chuckling. "Not that I plan on going in the closet anytime soon."
He pulled his Camry up to the gate, waiting for it to open. He looked at the well kept lawn and the beautiful structure of the house in awe, and a little envy.

"Make a Right in 0.3 miles" the mechanical voice of the gps system said.
Tasean drove his dark green Toyota Camry down the road, following the navigation system's direction. Both hands were on the wheel, and he was sitting very close to the steering wheel.
"I really hate driving in New York" he said to himself, and the gps.
His knuckles were white from how hard he was gripping the wheel. In the south Tasean was considered an aggressive driver. In New York he might as well have been peddling a tricycle through the busy streets.
He made the right like the gps told him too, and then he heard.
"Your destination is on your right in 3.2 miles."
Tasean sighed in relief, travelling down the road. He put on his bluetooth headset and dialed Andrew's number; so that he could tell his friend that he would be at the Mansion gates in a matter of minutes.

Tasean leaned in towards Andrew.
"Secret between new friends. I may be Southern, but I hate southern cooking! Especially cornbread and collard greens! Give me some Chinese food, or Italian cooking or seafood any day!" Tasean whispered.
Then he laughed and turned away from Andrew and Jack to start walking in the direction of his apartment building.
"Alrighty then Andrew. See you at the mansion tomorrow. I'll be the perfect tourist and ask a bunch of stupid questions. I promise!" Tasean said, looking back and giving Andrew one last playful grin and wave before he crossed the street.

Tasean looked at the piece of paper. At first he looked at the handwriting instead of the words; Tasean had a thing about handwriting. Then he looked at the address and realized he would definitely have to drive there. He looked up and smiled brightly at Andrew, extending his hand.
"It has definitely been a real pleasure meeting you Andrew. Thanks for this and everything." he said and then looked down to Jack. "And it was good meeting you too Jack" he said to the dog.
Tasean looked back up at Andrew, still grinning. "I will definitely call you before I head on over Kenny Ray. Make sure you put a pot of beans on 'fore I get there" he said, his eyes full of mirth.

Tasean followed Andrew back to his car at a leisurely pace.
"Well better to be a glorified secretary than and under appreciated anything I say" Tasean said as he watched Jack dart back and forth on the path, but still keeping close to Andrew.
Another yawn escaped Tasean as he continued to walk with Andrew towards the park entrance. Thankfully Tasean's apartment was only a few blocks from the park, and once he got the info he needed from Andrew, he would be home in a matter of minutes.
Tasean put his hands on his head, thinking about the days events and how they transpired. That something so good could come out of something so bad was a testament that there was some good left in life and people.
"I may actually have to go to church this Sunday" Tasean thought to himself. Then he snorted and laugh aloud. The pastor of the church probably wouldn't want to see Tasean; not after the position he had caught Tasean in months earlier, with the pastor's son.

Tasean leaned over to give Jack a few pats and then stood up himself. He fished around in the pockets of his shorts and placed a few dollars on the table to cover his and Andrew's food and a little extra for a tip.
"Lead the way mon capitan" Tasean said grinning before he gave an exaggerated bow to Andrew.
"So what's the school mascot?" Tasean asked laughing. "I bet you guys have a killer basketball team!"

Tasean laughed, imagining himself as some kind of villain.
"No Andrew, you don't have to worry about that. I doubt I'll be able to do more than awe and ooh as it is." Tasean said still grinning.
He leaned back in his chair and stretched his legs and arms as far as they would go, a small yawn escaping his lips. When he was settled back in the chair and drank down the last of his water and crushed the two plastic bottles on the table top.
"So yeah, let's definitely exchange info. I wonder if this place is close enough for me to walk too?" Tasean asked. "Even after a year, I still hate driving in this city. And between you and me, I'm scared of the public transportation" he said, a gasp of horror escaping his lips before he began laughing.

Tasean grinned and tapped his bottle of water to Andrew's coffee cup.
"Yes to new friends, and to bad nights that lead to new friends" Tasean said reverently.
He bit into his last cookie chewing thoughtfully on tomorrow and the mansion. He knew that all day the thought of going to this mutant boarding school would dominate his mind.
"Are you sure it's going to be o.k. Andrew? I wouldn't want to get you into trouble or anything" Tasean said. He also didn't want to show up unannounced and unwelcome to a house full of people who could do God knows what to him.

Tasean thought about it. Today wouldn't be a good day. He would need the rest of the day to decided what to wear for his mutant mansion visit. Plus, he was definitely going to need a little cat nap soon.
"What about tomorrow" Tasean asked. He didn't want to put the visit off to far, or he felt we would die from excitement and anticipation.
Already all types of thoughts and visions were running through his mind of what the mansion would look like, and the type of mutants he would meet there.

Tasean almost glowed with excitement. He couldn't believe that he was being invited to an all mutant school, at some mansion, by someone who worked there. Maybe he could get the information he needed on being a social worker for mutants. Maybe he'd even find some more cool people like Andrew to get to know.
"That sounds like a great idea Andrew. I would love a tour" Tasean said, barely containing his emotion.
He took a bite of the chocolate chip cookie he ordered, his mind going a mile a minute thinking about the possibilities of this school. Then his mind started to thing about how only moments ago he was upset; and how bad his night had been, and how good this day was starting.
"Well Kenny Ray, I tell you, mothers are definitely always right." Tasean said between munching on the cookie. "My mom always said its always brightest after a storm. Both of us had rough nights, and this morning has turned out to be a very good morning."
Again that wide eyed look came across Tasean's face. "Brightest!" he yelled and then began laughing again. "I swear Andrew the jokes just roll off the tongue! I'm not even trying!" he said laughing.

Tasean sat back in his chair, looking at Andrew in a totally new light.
"Wow..." was that he could say for now.
To have to keep every promise that you made, no matter how big or small. That was a powerful thing, and a heavy burden to bear. Tasean looked Andrew up and down, it was a wonder the man wasn't somewhere in a crazy house with nice padded walls and a straight jacket. This world was full of broken promises; and people who didn't care about making promises they knew the couldn't keep. And here was a man who made promises, knowing that he had to keep them, or else suffer physical pain.
"That is some kinda power there Kenny Ray....my little gift pales in comparison." Tasean said. Then his eyes began to water, and it looked like he have been choking on something; until a loud laugh escaped his lips. "Pale...and I work with light. Ha! Sometimes I tickle myself!" Tasean exclaimed, laughing as the waitress came to bring the two mens orders.
Tasean waited until she walked away from the table to begin speaking again; he needed the time to compose himself. "So this school, where is it? Or is it like some secret place that you have to swallow the red pill to get into?" Tasean asked. "Or was it the blue pill you had to swallow in the Matrix?"
