The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Seyta nodded. "Mostly, what is the meeting for?" The first, and only other time she had met Lenna caused her to get tangled in a small one shot blackmailing. She had noting personal against Lenna but she had learned that Lenna's ability is what canceled her own. As much as Seyta wanted to turn her ability off, she wanted it to be on her terms not her un-official bosses.
>> "Cuppa usually means tea, but I druther have coffee. A little thing like no electrics doesn't keep you from making a 'alfway decent brew. Unless you want something a little stronger than coffee. I've things that aren't in the icebox."
Coffee, almost how their first "date" ended. Not a bad Idea after all the shopping they had done, and it was easier to chat over coffee than anything strong. Well, easier to keep things in check when chatting anyway. "Coffee's fine, but I'd till live to see how you manage to get hot water." Maybe a splash of the strong stuff to help relax things a bit would be a nice touch though. That would make explaining about the dire want for a Knife and her strange dream a bit calmer.
"Let's drop off my bags since we have to pass my floor anyway, saves us carrying them twice, and then we can head up to your place." Of course, Seyta had no idea how many floors above hers Davids apartment was. He mentioned that he lived above her once before but no details. Then again she was twelve that day, and slightly traumatized.
>> ...and transcending human law to share our power verifies their sincerity.
Fair enough, Seyta had her own opinions on those people but most of that was from the community in Salem. "So, About the pamphlet itself. Other than handing them out and leaving stack in random subway stations, how are you getting the message out in the public?"
>> ...It would be better if they realized assimilation isn't in our best interests.’
She nodded. It made sense. And gave her another question to ask before getting to the main point of publicity. "Related to that, what about the even smaller minority that want to actively help our cause and agree with what you're saying here? I would assume you want those humans to go the M drug route?" That would fit best with the ideals and the situation but it would put both the humans and mutants at huge risk legally even if all other obstacles where avoided.
The "chair" Dorian sat on was as invisible as whatever he was writing on, and just as unusual. Seyta shoved the questions she had about his mutation to the back of her mind. There would be time for those later if her idea worked out.
"Well, I'll start with an easy one. It's a small number against the large population but, reading this through I just wonder what about the humans that are fully accepting of mutants?" She leaned back in the chair looking over the pamphlet and then back to Dorian. "My folks back in Salem for example." That made it a bit personal, maybe that would make him think over the answer more, not that it mattered in context.
I am not an x-man however... in riot pt1 while it's still WIP Dorian's pamphlet IS going to be on the NY times front page... I think some reaction threads to this form of mild terrorism/hijacking is possibly worth a reaction thread?
This post is in both the order and x-men plot threads as the NY times is internationally known...

>> Sure. Take a seat if you want. I’m Dorian. as you probably already know b/c you found me. Might I ask y
The floating letters made her do a double take. Without knowing Dorian's mutation it seemed just plain odd. Seyta nodded and moved to the chair at his desk. As for why she was here. She bit her lip thinking of a good way to answer that. Political hijacking wasn't exactly a great conversation starter after all.
>> You must be Seyta.
"Yeah. I just had some thoughts on your writings, and was thinking about the impact they might have." Global impact actually. But she would take her time getting to that.
Seyta took the the grin followed by a hollow empty wheezing to be a laugh. It was winter, probably a bad clod or something wrecked his voice. This assumption was tossed out for something more serious like bronchitis as he signed something at her. She didn't take ASL in high school and had no idea what he said.
He then gestured to his throat and shook his head. Confirming her idea that for some reason he couldn't speak. "Alright, let me rephrase that, do you have time to answer a few questions?" Hopefully the answer was yes. Putting Dorian's writings into the New York times had been a vague idea at first but as she had read them it appealed to her more and more. Without any specific work to do for the Order pulling something like that off would probably still help the grand scheme of things.
Seyta glared at Roach, as well as everyone else there. She was going to teach this girl her lesson no matter what. If she had to be patient to do that... Then so be it. While the small bugs attempted to play with everything Seyta left the girl to Jez. She was blindly loyal wouldn't hurt her unless told to. Roach did know how to pick his pawns well.
For now Seyta wanted to let things get settled into the new plan. Then she would have the freedom to explore the entirety of the bunker and help herself to just about everything. The rooms where small enough that her field covered almost the entire space, including below her. Since the others where heading down the elevator Seyta could move virtually unimpeded. Until then she would simply wait against the wall and out of the way.
>> "I don't suppose you'd like to stop in me flat for a cuppa? I've got candles."
Seyta shrugged. Since the power was still out she didn't exactly feel like trying to navigate her hallway alone. Although David would have to bring her purchases to her room anyway. On the other hand, keeping him some company wouldn't be to bad. Sine they did have a nice night.
“Sure, not sure what you plan on drinking. My stove is electric anyway so no coffee or tea. Unless you have something else in mind.” She turned and looked towards the barely lit stairway. David lived in the same building but she wasn't sure what floor it was. Hopefully not much farther than hers.
>> "You may be able to blend in, but I fear I may have no choice but to take to the rooftops."
Seyta shrugged looking between both women. The one who had followed them into the store was rather calm about talking to the two mutants, so she was likely one herself, possibly the one who did shatter the windows. It was just as likely that she was a human who was sympathetic towards mutants though, it did happen sometimes. “The glass wasn't us. The sirens wont really care though...”
Taking a quick glance around the store Seyta grabbed another shirt off the rack, she didn't look at it though, and turned her gaze to the back of the store. Employees Only was written on the door to the stock room near the back. A way out. Looking back to the woman with the glasses she spoke. “Since you didn't start screaming when you saw us I'll assume you aren't going to report us to the police after wards.” She turned back towards her new purple friend. “If you want to get to the roof, we should go out the back. The cops are probably here by now and while I can hide myself I'm not going to watch as a fellow mutant gets dragged away for nothing.” With that she casually began to move towards the back of the store, pretending to look over more clothes. Hopefully these two had some sense and followed her. Otherwise this was going to be rather difficult.
