The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Seyta chuckled watching Dorian look around in vain. If she had been in a particularly mean spirited mood she could probably do this several more times, however she had come here with a plan. Pulling out the pamphlet she took a step forwards to catch the door before he could close it a second time.
“Right in front of you, happens to everyone so don't feel singled out.” Ironically, she did single him out. She held up the pamphlet and looked between it and Dorian. “I really enjoyed your thoughts. They gave me a few questions and was wondering if you could talk.”
Seyta smiled politely. Despite being a member of the Order she didn't live in the Sanctuary and did not know much about any of its residents (members or otherwise) besides Abyss and David. Not that it should matter but without knowing how a person would react it wasn't exactly smart to start asking questions about sensitive topics. Luckily she agreed with what Dorian said, that was good right?
>> "I think there's another mutant here. We need to find them then I can take us to the rooftops. We'll have a chance to escape there."
Seyta nodded but pulled her into the store anyway. "Yeah, another mutant is obvious. But trying to escape right now will actually make you and the other mutant bigger targets."
Putting on a happy smile Seyta quickly started browsing the racks of clothes and randomly handed a shirt to the woman. "Act natural, and pretend to be shopping. I'm sure police will be here soon and running along rooftops with them is never a good thing."
Personally Seyta hadn't been in this situation back in Salem as a teen, but she knew friends who had. It was another large mutant hub, though much smaller than New York, and trouble crept up a lot. Her new friend did have a point though, they should find whoever made the glass shatter. Safety in numbers technically could apply to Seyta still.
The look on his face was, like most people she met this way, a humors gaze of confusion. The lack of any “Hello?” was a bit odd though, but it happened sometimes. Even more amusing, when Dorian failed to find Seyta he ducked back into his room and closed the door.
This also happened a lot. Seyta was in a good enough mood to be more than slightly amused by this. While she didn't want to annoy him she felt like having a little fun and knocked again, stepping back before the door opened, so he wouldn't bump into her.
Scenario 6: Order members, we don't want this attack to fade into obscurity... a good way to make sure it doesn't? How does a covert mission to make the video run in all of the screens at time square sound?
this is basicly happening in Spreading the word...to the world Seyta is taking the pamphlets made by Dorian and is going to stamp them into the NY times front page.... Hows that for Publicity?
Seyta sat in the break room of Lord & Taylor, sipping a coffee and watching the clock. 1:34 AM stood out in bold red, Jeff was late again and Seyta hated trying to unload the trucks alone. On the other hand when the graveyard shift helped her keep her closet stocked with the best and brightest fashions. All of her coworkers, and even her boss, wondered how she could afford everything. She had been accused of stealing before, which was true, but the books all matched up on the shipments so nothing was legally missing.
>> “Hey Seyta! You in here? I got something to show you.”
She turned towards the door to see Jeff and snapped her fingers to get him to focus on her. ”Took you long enough... What is it?” He blinked a few times before handing a pamphlet to her. Mutants are an advanced form of human life. Seyta scanned the first few paragraphs, her eyes widening. ”Ho-ly s***.” She folded it up and stuffed it into her pocket. This was going to be something big. ”I'll finish it after we restock everything.”
>> “Hope it won't keep you from working here. I'd take forever to do all this by myself.”
Seyta rolled her eyes, she wouldn't leave unless she was fired. Finishing the coffee she stretched and pulled Jeff behind her. The sooner they finished the sooner she could get her own stolen goods home.
----------------------- A few days later -------------------------
She read the pamphlet again. A bit over zealous but it was right. The attack from the police on the girl had cause a cry of rage from both sides. I was the Salem Witch trials all over again, except the witches where real this time. Mutants vs. Humans and The humans actually had the upper hand.
The pamphlet would change all that. Especially if it got sent to a larger audience, say the readers of the New York Times. To pull of something like that she would need the authors help for sure in getting a digital copy. Getting into the Times Factory was an entirely different matter. Her own mutation could cover most of what she needed but Cameras where beyond her ability.
The first task was to find the author though. Which is why she was waiting in the Sanctuary. It was the most likely origin but so far the residents didn't see who made them, the pamphlets just appeared in stacks everywhere. Figures no one wanted to talk to her...
Giving up with asking people at random Seyta turned to the front desk and sighed tapping on the counter and holding out a pamphlet. Lisa, do you have any idea who actually made these?"
>> "Those? That would be Dorian, here's his room."
Seyta nodded taking the small slip with the room number on it. Making her way to the room she shivered, it was a bit creepy how much Lisa knew about her for only being in the Sanctuary a few times. Reaching her destination She knocked twice and waited.
>> "I think you ought to leave the woman alone. No one wants anyone to get hurt."
Seyta turned to the woman who spoke raising an eyebrow. There where several tentacles sprouting from the purple body, which was odd enough. Seyta was about to show the woman that she didn't need help as the now very frightened man facing two mutants, one with a knife to his throat, has gone rather silent.
CRASH!!!
Every window around them shattered, every car alarm went off. Everyone’s attention, including her own, shifted to ducking and protecting themselves from the flying shards. When Seyta did get her bearings back and looked for the man, he had run off into the crowd. ”Damit...” It wasn't that important if he got away but Seyta wanted to finish her lesson.
Turning to the purple mutant Seyta moved to puller along beside herself. ”We need to move...now. Unless you want to join the gargoyle from the video in the hospital.” There was a clothing store across the street next to a coffee shop. Those where good places to lay low for a little bit if nothing else.
>> “A knife? You're serious? I know that you are usually mad at me, but I dinnit think that it was anything worth murdering.”
She chuckled and shook her head. ”Not you. Things have well...changed recently and I want to get a little protection.” That and the Future she had seen was still a possibility, she was determined to be ready if it happened. ”Knifes are easier to use and deal with that guns anyway.”
As they reached the store Seyta watched curiously as he broke through the window. Stealing when a store was closed was honestly a new concept to her. It might be awkward but she would defiantly keep an eye on David to make sure she didn't fall behind, or go overboard.
>> “I believe the saying is ladies first.”
With a grin she hopped thought the shattered glass into the store. Despite the power outage she looked around nervously. The idea of being caught on camera scared her; her costume changed her features enough that it wouldn't matter anyway but she still worried. ”So, where to start?”
Seyta stared at Roach. He had to be kidding. He can't just randomly change plans like that. Unless he lied to her. Roach did things like that. He broke the deal once, brought her back to life, kept the deal, and now he changed the plan. She didn't like it.
Seyta quickly pointed the gun at Roach and stared into his eyes. She hated those eyes, they where impossible to read. She stood there for a full 5 seconds, visibly fuming at the change of plans. Roach was keeping her from bringing this girl back down to earth. Keeping Seyta from giving the girl what she deserved.
"There better be a reason for this..." It took some efort but Seyta uncocked the revolver and stuck it into her belt along with the scotch and her knife. "And the scotch is mine... She backed in through the door and leaned against a wall waiting. She wanted to be in as much control over her own situation as she could.
>> "Serves her right." He was playing the video on his phone repeatedly "I mean, look at her. She looks like she came right out of hell, all she's missing is some fire and brimstone. Cops can arrest a person for carrying an illegal weapon, why can't they arrest them for carrying wings and claws and horns..."
"Basic rights! Arresting a person for being alive is wrong and making judgment based on looks is racism. She wasn't doing anything wrong so the Police had no legal right to do anything."
>> “Looks is one thing, horns and claws is another and they're deadly! You can pull the racism card if you're white, black, brown, yellow or whatever, but this thing?" he said tapping on his phone. "That's a freaking alien."
"Dogs have claws, and teeth. Want to make them Illegal?" She rolled her eyes. If the conversations wasn't so strong her own mutation would keep him from even looking at her. Even with them both shouting, the people closest to them weren't able to completely realize where Seyta was. "Different isn't illegal. Mutants aren't Illegal. Do you think All mutants deserve to be treated like that? Most of us are practicably human!"
>> "Dogs have leashes and masters who own them. Why do you think we have animal control? Mutants..." he said, then stopped himself when the woman not only sided with them but confessed to being one. He seemed surprised there were 'normal looking' mutants but he didn't change his mind and seemed undeterred to push his point across. "Practically is a very big word. Here you were all normal like and I'm thinking 'She's just a woman', now you say you're a mutant and I'm thinking 'Can she turn into a monster? Can she blow me away?' Different isn't illegal, but dangerous should be, and this!" he said, showing her his phone, the video playing on it again. "This woman is dangerous!"
Seyta stopped, they had been going at each other for a while now. He wanted dangerous, he was going to get it. ”Dangerous... You have no idea. Dangerous is people like you calling for public executions of things you don't understand. Dangerous is idiots attacking the innocent. Dangerous is the innocents having to defend themselves...” She barely even blinked as she grabbed the Ka-bar from her belt and pressed it to his skin. With a grin she motioned with her free hand.- “My mutation makes other people ignore me... Barely anyone here is even stopping to look at us. This is dangerous. Not the girl in the video, its people like you forcing us to be what you are afraid of.”
>> “And for those of us who are unable to fit down the chimney with a satchel large enough for everything. What would such a person get you as a trinket on Christmas Day?”
She shrugged. Christmas wasn't one of Seyta's strong points. She sent cards to people and left it alone. Not to mention she did have a large pile of cash sitting in a shoe box back in her apartment. Still... there was that ka-bar she had during the dream... "There is one thing... Kinda strange but..." Seyta wasn't sure if David was a part of the dream. She had seen him but wasn't sure if he would remember anything.. "Its Kinda strange but... I'd like a knife." The Best Buy was just ahead of them now. She gave him a smile and picked up her pace. "I'll tell you more about what kind when we finish in here."
The outside Air assaulted them. Seyta was use to it though and barely even flinched, the filters in the bunker made it smell like a hospital anyway. With a strong shove of the pistol she pushed Celeste through the door. As soon as they were both clear of the entry Seyta gave to quick sharp whistles. The signal for Roach Jez and the minions.
"Time for you to learn about the outside world again..." Seyta didn't have a specific plan in mind but the idea of literally dragging her thought the dirt and possibly cutting off her hair seemed like good torture methods.
