MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

But, things have been a little hectic. I haven't been able to find time to post much at all. I will try as hard as I can to get things back in order, but until then, posting will be wonky and erratic, as will C-box activity, and just about everything else.

Job searching, catering to the demands of free rent and general life have me a little overwhelmed, and thus, I just haven't been able to find time to post much lately.
It's like every time I sit down to post I get pulled away by something, or I realize it's 5AM, and I need to sleep. x.x
I'll get back to my regular schedule as soon as I can, but until then, posting will still be slow!

I nominate Chris for mutant of the month!
For those of you who don't know, Chris is the mansion's one and only fish boy! He is a perfect example of how great it can be to throw of that veneer of 'oh my character is hawt and strong and dashing' and thrive in your character's imperfections.
Chris smells like fish, isn't brave, isn't strong, and definitely isn't confident. At the same time, the character has room to grow. This makes Chris, as a character, a perfect candidate for Mutant of the Month. Also, he's really fun to thread with.
Example time!
You can see Chris not being brave with Saph, as the vigilante forces his reluctant room mate to fight crime with him in Crime Fighting 101:Team Dynamics.

For all I care Maxine could head the whole thing up, considering it sounds like something she would be in on; but I figure it should be bigger than just one person.
People would be more tense if there was enough people power behind it that they would be being watched at all times. That tenseness tends to provide excitement, and thus make the thread more interesting.
The way I had it planned, everyone would be informed that they were being watched, and that any confessionals they did would be completely confidential. Of course, a few choice people might 'accidently' be shown a confessional or two related to them, in order to incur outbursts and thus raise ratings, but whether or not that kinda stuff happens it totally up to how this discussion goes.
