The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Well, This plot will start, and then from there, once a month, it will lead to X&O missions, without any real need to end.
Ideally, it would be something that could be run in-between larger sitewide plots for as long as we wanted. The reasoning behind this is that the Order and the X-men need a constant point of tension, or things tend to stagnate between the two; This could, potentially, be a way to keep that tension active.
The bulk of things would simply be on a action/reaction basis, meaning characters could live their lives inbetween occurrences, though thinking about it, it may be interesting how people go about trying to find out who the mystery man was, and what exactly is behind all of this...
I suppose that after the conflict between the X's and O's starts running on it's own, that mystery could be solved, and the truth outed... I wouldn't put a time frame on it, though, but instead I would leave it to the people to decide when it has outlasted it's usefulness.
In short, instead of it being a 3 phase plot alla Riots, I would rather it be ongoing, like the M plot.
Note: I would also give any order council member the permission to use Roach's voice to create one of the monthly missions, should I be indisposed

There are many different parts of the order, with different goals; Lenna still plans to do some more covert operations that involve a more calculated and less "villainy" approach. Roach's sect does aim for extreme results, at the risk of extreme failure; makes it fun, and it actually gives the X-men a good reason to stand in their way. Basically, the plan is for the order to have something for everyone.
Everyone working for the order won't see these acts as thuggish. Everything will be for a cause, and you would be absolutely stunned how many people would see it as righteous; A lot of that is defined by the tone in which this can be presented. As of there being little odds of success,
I don't plan for there to be any big brawls during these call outs; rather it would involve small group missions(One or two order members, one or two X-men).
For example: A large national bank has been labeling loans to mutants as "High risk" due the the "higher risk of property damage and loss of investment", and thus they charge outrageous interest rates with a high probability of acceptance, leaving many mutants, who already have trouble getting loans in the first place, in debt they will never realistically pay off. So? One of the month's attacks will involve a mass bank robbing and destroying of every branch of that bank in new york city. for the order, this means forming either small teams, or going out individually to rob a bank each. For the X-men, this means similarly dividing in order to counter them. This will lead to several small threads, none of which the plot really depends on to advance.
At no time will it be announced "We are going to rob every branch of this bank, Muhaha!" Instead, it will be more like, "You, as a corporation, have wronged mutant kind. Prepare for retribution." If any of the heists are successful, the money will be laundered and distributed among mutant families, because honestly, you don't get a lot for robbing a bank, considering the risk, but a family getting 1000 bucks out of the blue can be a blessing.
No one has to die during this example, and few people would feel sorry for a bank, even if it experienced huge losses due to property damage and lost funds. Either way they would likely stop with those loans.
Sounds like a victory to me, and considering I plan to move the bulk of Roach's Order dealings out of Sanctuary, it will no longer be certain where to go to pick a fight with them.

It would be roach incognito ;D No one would know outside of the order, of course. The idea is to have everyone thinking a man who could see the future planned everything out before hand; this will cement the thought that victory for the mutants is inevitable.
It's funny, because in the end, either way this falls, it will turn out for the best for mutant kind! Either anti-mutant groups or individuals will owe their life or welfare to the X-men, or they will be killed by the order! Win win!

Many thanks to Shin for helping formulate this plot idea some months back!
So, after the riots in NYC, the city is still in a state of subtle unrest. On the surface, things are back to normal, but the trust that had started to develop after the registration plot has been broken, and all of the wounds from the riots are still fresh.
It's not unimaginable, then, that many mutants would still feel wronged, as well as those against the mutants. Capitalizing on this unrest, a figure will appear on wolf news(having hijacked the station's broadcast room) with a message running something like this: "I have seen the future, and mutants win. For the foreseeable future there will be an attack on either an anti-mutant group, or person; I will organize these attacks, and I will arrange for a warning to be sent the day before, along with a speech detailing each group or person's crimes against mutant kind. You will play these messages for the public each month, or no further warnings will be sent."
He will also create a new way of approaching the order, rather than going to the sanctuary. All you will have to do is have your character draw the order symbol, which he will present to the world, somewhere in your house, hidden, or out in the open, it doesn't matter. (this will only apply to those in the NYC area, though that may change in the future) IC, I would like to see this lead to the order having members all across the states, and to pro-mutant legislation and community centers for mutants opening up, which will kinda act as meeting places rather than the very known sanctuary.
It will be presented as a chance to join the winning side in a revolution long overdue. After he is done speaking, he will blow himself to smithereens.
This will be a perfect way of stirring up trouble; once a month, or any other denomination of time deemed necessary, there will be an organized attack on the part of the Order, and the warned X-men will either have to try to defend the targeted group, or stop the attack before it can even start. There is plenty of room for innocent bystanders to be included, and it can be a constant source of activity between miniplots and sitewide plots, similar to M in those regards.
This idea is still in it's infantile stage, but I'm excited to see what you guys think!

So the last few weeks have seen me running around like a chicken with my head cut off, applying for jobs and trying to work out a way to pay a huge bill that was suddenly dropped on me; because of that, posting has been a little slow.
Also because of that, I have acquired a full time job. All of these things considered, I will be a little slow on posting for a while; I will still run riot plot, and post as much as possible, but until I find out how my schedule is gonna work, I will be a little unpredictable.

So~~ I ended up pulling a muscle in my neck the day before yesterday... It was quite painful... I had to go to the ER, where they prescribed me with painkillers, and Valium...
So I will be a little shaky posting for a bit, and while I don't feel horribly off-put by the medication thus far, you never know.

If anyone is interested in the pit fights, be it as a willing contestant for a cut of the supplies that people paid to get in, or as an involuntary battle slave, fighting for your freedom, send me a PM on the Saphirus account!
Your characters will not be stuck in the arena if you put them in; Ideally it would only bog them down for one thread, maybe two, and you can go off to enjoy other fun wasteland activities!

Markus: That was exactly the idea, a place where mutants could either willingly(and even at profit), or not so willingly battle each other to the death, or first blood, depending on Roach's fickle mood.
That said, who would be willing to participate?
We already have one fight lined up; its going to be a fun surprise!
I also love the idea of having the nuke in the middle of Celeste's bunker; you would have to be crazy to try to invade it! Roach(and the world enders?) is going to try to invade it.
Also, I'm very much thinking of having Saph go lone ranger, and relentlessly chase after those he deems responsible for the end of the world.
