Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

I nominate Chris for mutant of the month!

For those of you who don't know, Chris is the mansion's one and only fish boy! He is a perfect example of how great it can be to throw of that veneer of 'oh my character is hawt and strong and dashing' and thrive in your character's imperfections.

Chris smells like fish, isn't brave, isn't strong, and definitely isn't confident. At the same time, the character has room to grow. This makes Chris, as a character, a perfect candidate for Mutant of the Month. Also, he's really fun to thread with.

Example time!

You can see Chris not being brave with Saph, as the vigilante forces his reluctant room mate to fight crime with him in Crime Fighting 101:Team Dynamics.

You can also see him deal with the perils of his mutated apearance in Glass Shards- Less awesome than you might think.

Read these threads and i'm sure you'll agree with me, Chris is a great candidate for MotM!
