April did actually have some pretty warm gloves in addition to the coat, scarf and hat. But Shelby seemed cold, and April also loved skin contact very much. So she gripped Shelby's hand eagerly with her own, it was like a little icicle in her palm. But she'd deal, at some point it would start feeling warmer. She had a little knowing smile on her face, it was probably like holding hands with one of those hand warmer things you stuck in your gloves.

"Well my apartment has food, and a very comfy bed." She definitely put emphasis on those last few words in the sentence.

She saw this coming a mile away, she'd wandered if Shelby was just working up courage, or just looking for a quiet spot to plant a smooch. Given the little bit of confidence she'd suggested shameless sex she did suspect it was the later.

April melted into the kiss eagerly, enjoying it and chuckling as soon as it was over. "Well that was nice, I like the taste of your lips!" She exclaimed before realising what she'd said and chuckling. "That actually wasn't meant to be dirty, but it works." She led them to a nearby street and hailed a taxi.

April actually burst out into hearty laughter at the bartender. It wasn't the first time something like that had happened to her, it was amusing, when you were in a bar with daytime drinkers people tended to be a lot shyer about flirtations, maybe there was a little more discomfort because they were both women. April didn't know, she didn't really care either, the situation was amusing as hell, and hey she was probably going to get laid so even if it was a problem she'd probably not sweat it.

She chuckled a little maniacly and tossed back the last shot, winking at the bartender. "Have a good evening hun~ I will~" Before slipping on her coat and gently taking Shelby by the hand, and leading her out of the bar. "You seemed to have some minor issues with going back to yours? Unless you mean a hotel room? My apartment probably works~" She purred.

Danny would be busy with a show at the moment, and even if he wasn't April doubted this was totally out of the ordinary for her to do.

She blinked. How did she bring this topic up? It was like when she'd first found out she was a mutant she'd been unsure of how to tell her friends, and they had responded with a mixture of feelings, some thinking it was super cool others being absolutely horrified. Although she supposed lost years and memory were a lot less potentially dangerous than the ability to literally burn down whichever building you happened to be walking around in at any given time...

"I'm supposed to be meeting somebody in a couple hours and I don't know the area at all so I just wanted to work out where I was going." Honestly she had no idea who the person really was either, her brother had just texted him for her.

"Oh, that would be lovely. I don't really need to eat anything, but warmth is always a good thing." She admitted thankfully. She'd fueled up on burnt scrambled eggs before she'd left the apartment, she did wonder aloud if her cooking had improved in 8 years, only to receive a snarky comment from her older? brother.

"Er..." Okay, maybe she should just be straight with him so he didn't jump to wrong conclusions. "Believe it or not the situation is much stranger than assault or organ harvesting." Wow. That was a mouthful. "I sorta woke up in an alley not knowing what city I was in, and thinking it was 2011, because apparently I'm 8 years younger than I should be, go figure." She wasn't a shy person, she just didn't want to freak people out by leading with that. Erik seemed to have a pretty solid foundation thought.

Yeah. Solid. She thought in a sultry subtext, checking him out a little when he wasn't watching. "So no, I'm not in need of female to female counselling or something, if that's what you're implying, thank you for the thought though honey."

April matched the little eyebrow waggle with her own sultry glance, it was fun watching a girl that she could actually be embarrassed flounder a little, she wasn't shutting down or anything she was just blushing, but it was still fun to have a cute girl blush and know that you were the cause. She definitely got some satisfaction out of it.

She cackled as the other girl broke eye contact to take another shot and followed suit. April grinned when she responded, leaning in a little closer, a hand resting gently on Shelby's knee. "That. Is the right answer." She purred.

"I'm sure it's only boosted by the art, your allure is more personality and" She paused, doing an obvious check over Shelby. "Aesthetic."

She was definitely having a lot of fun with this, she'd not expected such a find wandering into the wrong bar on accident, but Shelby was all kinds of interesting and she both looked like she would be a lot of fun, and like she could use a little fun. April was happy to be the source. More than happy. "Mmm other than you, you mean?" She quirked an eyebrow.

"I'm not really sure~ Still kinda working that out. I know pretty people are my favourite thing, other than that..." She shrugged.

Goddamn, April was good. She'd realised these last few days just how good she was at the whole meet, flirt, ect game. She had little Skye wrapped around her finger. To be fair, Skye did seem like she'd come to the party looking for fun, but April would take the little self ego patting regardless.

April grinned playfully at the dancing. Damn, girl had rythmn. April had some herself, her younger brother had drilled some of that into her to be sure. Apparently she'd lost some in the whole de-aging debacle, but she could still dance better than most college students, apparently. "I appreciate a girl that can dance, and keep up with my silver tongue~"

As she spun around April grinned. The shudder was just adorable. Putty in her hands. "Oh, I plan on it Sparky. Your little movements and shudders are just too adorable and intriguing for me not to. Explore." Her lips hung on that last word.

She thought about that for a moment. Had there been a syringe in the alley? She actually didn't remember if she'd thought to check anything like that, which was stupid because her first assumption had been that she'd been roofied or something like that. It was very odd that her memories of this week were 8 years more recent than her last memory before that, she just couldn't get over the weirdness that just came with the territory.

"Maybe in the confusion you dropped it?" She blushed a little, irritated with her own idiocy. "I didn't even think to check if there was a syringe or anything like that around, I was too freaked out at being in an alley in the snow, I needed heat fast. And I guess 'cause I had my phone and Danny's number was in there I just immediately called him in my freakout." She was still embarrassed about it. She'd freaked out like a girl.

April smiled empathetic ally to Shelby. "I get that. I don't know how much it helps, if that's any help whatsoever." She thought about her life and felt a sense of distant pain. "My life is so different than when I last remember it..." She was lost in thought for a moment. "I really don't know what led me to the city, apparently I'm an EMT here?" She shook her head.

She gave Shelby back an awkward smile. "You too I guess." She stared at Shelby for a moment. "'Nother drink?" She asked, waving over the bartender.

[blocquote]April was of the honest opinion that there were beautiful things everywhere if you looked hard enough, especially in people. For example, she'd have already called the cute brunette attractive, but the fact she had an artistic talent like photography sort of just enhanced things.

April glanced around the park quickly and took in a few of the other people here. So many people were starting to flock to the park, noticing the beautiful site. She wondered who could have done this? If some mutant with snow or ice powers had just decided that the park needed some more beauty out of the blue. She certainly didn't see many signs of professionals around, and there wasn't anybody that looked to be charging people to go near or inspect the sculptures, which was usually a tell for when something had been set up by people with or looking for money.

Was she flirting, or just making an observation? Hm. "I've really got a thing for natural beauty. Even if this isn't really natural, it's just so unique and gorgeous." She admitted. "I'm kind of wandering around site seeing you could say, and this caught my eye. It helps that there are a lot of gorgeous people around too, pretty ice and pretty people~"
