April chuckled as Shelby was clearly flailing a little in the literal and metaphorical heat in the elevator, she leaned against the pink haired girl a little more, leaning her head on Shelby's shoulder and enjoying the warmth an the closeness that the elevator brought. "So this little surprise you have for me, is it something I'd be able to guess?"
She burst out laughing before planting a kiss on Shelby's cheek. "Don't worry babe, if you pass out I'll take care of you~ I'm trained~" She purred. It was technically true. She had both medical corpsman training and had a little certificate in her apartment conveying her EMT license.
"Hmm. I don't think I've ever been to Seattle. Though I suppose I could have been in the 8 years." She mused. "Is it as fun as this city? Are there as many cuties?~"
She snorted and gently caressed Shelby's arm. "You don't need to be nervous, seriously you're doing fine. Trust me." She said without the teasing edge to her voice, it was more soft and reassuring.

April chuckled, shaking her head in amusement and leaned in close to Skye and whispered. "I think you know that you did well in there. Some things are an obvious tell~" She purred, before moving on to showing Skye her power and how exactly it worked.
She chuckled again. Oh, post flirting was fun too. "Oh well I'll take that an appraisal of my skill. Of how thorough I was." Amusingly, April felt like she'd learned a ton more words she didn't know or have in her vocabulary previously for the purpose of wooing cute people. Skye definitely qualified, one hundred percent.
With a wave of her hand the fire was gone. Like magic. She let out another throaty laugh. "Well did my body heat not qualify? I'm sure most of your lays can't have been as hot in bed as me." She teased. "I mean that literally, minus the bed~" She nibbled at Skye's lips when the woman leaned in for her own little playful kiss.
"Shall we find somewhere quiet to relax and have a drink, Sparky? We can go again later if you're not done, but I'd like to get to know you a little. You're cute."

That was definitely true. April did try to adjust her approached with some different men and women. She'd had a few guys that seemed totally oblivious to her advances and she more often ended up being pretty direct with them. She tended not to do it with oblivious women, because she figured that was a much higher chance of incompatible orientations. Of course it could happen with the dudes too, but it was just the way that she operated. She smiled sweetly. "That makes sense. Girl with mysteries can be so much more. Alluring."
She blinked, lost for a few moments before it dawned on her. "As you wish my lady~" She purred, doing as the photographer directed until she gave her the all clear to move closer again.
Something about the way that Stephanie stopped and had to capture something she found attractive really spoke to April, the way she concentrated on it until it was done. She really respected passion. More people needed to explore passion, in multiple ways.
"Don't apologise sweetie~ I appreciate you needing to capture something gorgeous~" She replied, moving across the crunchy snow to a closer position, an amused smirk on her face. "Where we were?" She raised an eyebrow. "Well I think we were playing a fun little game. Hmmm. I think you were winning~"

Butterflies, cute. April led Shelby into the elevator and punched the button for one of the higher floors, biting her lower lip a little and eyeing Shelby. "Butterflies?~" She shifted positions so she could slip an arm around Shelby's waist and lean against the elevator wall as the doors closed and they started to rise throughout the building.
"Awwww. That's sweet." she purred. So Shelby was definitely not kidding when she said inexperienced. April would teach her a few things in that case for sure.
April wasn't sure what Shelby was referring to, it certainly couldn't be a bedroom experience? Shelby had no idea how experienced April was, even if April wasn't quite as experienced as she'd let on. "I would love to be shown something new~"

April grinned again, resisting the urge to shake her head in amusement, how that she was being led into April's home Shelby seemed to have found some nerves again, it was adorable but she wouldn't tease her or anything about it. That'd just make it worse, and she while she was playful she didn't like people feeling uncomfortable about anything, and it was easy for people that were not used to the topic getting awkward about sleeping with strangers.
She led Shelby gently into the building and towards the elevator, shooting her a soft smile. "It's okay, don't be nervous. I'll take good care of you." She purred, as the elevator doors opened. Empty. Awesome.

April grinned when Shelby explained it. She thought she understood most of what Shelby was saying, April liked and appreciated art, even if she wasn't a person that showed much talent in it whatsoever. "Are you kidding? It's great!" She really did mean that.
She watched over Shelby's shoulder now as she added some colour to the picture. Girls with talent were so hot.
April quirked an eyebrow at Shelby. "Oh really? I thought I'd show you a few things too~" She purred. Grinning when Shelby kissed her fingers she looked up as the cab pulled up to the block her apartment building was on. She thanked him and jumped out, holding a hand out to help Shelby out. "Shall we?"

Amused, April turned to look out the window for a moment while Shelby immediately started drawing. She glanced back after not too long and while she couldn't see the whole drawing from her position it looked like it was already pretty well formed and detailed. Damn, she wasn't just good. She was fast too. April liked this girl, and more than just wanting to have some fun with her she found her fun and interesting.
Observing she did a double take. Whoa. "Wow! You're so talented, that looks so cosy~" She purred. April liked fires, snuggling up by them was super fun. And she could stoke them if they needed it.

Oh April liked this game. The dancing around the actual words. It wasn't something she did very often. Truth be told April was generally speaking pretty blunt. She made it clear what she wanted. Who she wanted.
"Colour me impressed Stephanie, that's more than I've managed to do so far." She hummed, glancing around at the beautiful ice sculptures. "And how would the type of woman influence you, exactly?" She turned back with a sultry, if slightly amused smile on her face.
April rolled her eyes in amusement. Stephanie was definitely one of the most immediately captivating women she'd ever met, she played the word game very well, probably much better than April. "That's awesome. Both of those sound like great places to take a date. I'm more of an Italian girl myself." She purred, stepping a little closer to Stephanie. "And what, per say could I do to loosen your tongue and learn some of your secrets?"

April was about 2 third through pulling her own outfit completely back on, looking up and giving Skye a mischievous grin. She leaned forwards and gave Skye another kiss, this one was much more playful. April had already disposed of the needful component, she just felt amused and intrigued now. "Mmmm. I suppose you've done a good job earning that privilege, haven't you now?" She asked, raising an eyebrow to the adorable bright coloured female.
She grinned again, starting to finish re-assembling her wardrobe. "Pity, it'd look best without any light, but I guess if I didn't find an off switch just now, you probably don't have one?~" She purred, teasing some more.
April waited a few beats before unfurling her hand in front of Skye, dark blue flames slowly dancing across her skin, adding some warmth to the confined space as well as additional light. "They're only one colour though, Sparky~"

It was good to see that Skye was feeling more confident about the interaction. "Oooooh. I like that." She purred, nudging the other woman playfully. "So did you mean for it to come out that dirty, or was it just a happy coincidence?" She replied with a raised eyebrow and mischievous grin.
April chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, lights won't scare me off. Keep up being such a good girl, I might even show you my pretty lights." She teased.
She grinned the whole time Skye led the two of them upstairs, this really was going just swimmingly. College parties were definitely a viable way to pick people up. Skye was one of the more interesting people she'd met this week, that was for sure. She'd have to keep tabs on this girl.
April poked her head in first. Oooh. A walk in closet. "I like big houses." She mused before turning around, grasping Skye and tugging her into the closet. She yanked the door shut behind them and in mere moments was on Skye, lips and hands exploring.

April was finding Stephanie more intriguing than most people she met already. Most people either responded in kind, were oblivious or bounced off April entirely. It sorta felt like Stephanie was probing, testing the waters with her. Which wasn't something that happened to her all that often. It was new and exciting.
Honestly it didn't matter all that much to April if someone didn't swing her way, she'd still get some enjoyment out of chatting to and subsequently flirting with them. And she was sure that most of them would get some enjoyment out of it too. Just because you weren't attracted to an individual didn't mean you were impervious to honest compliments from them.
She quirked an inquisitive eyebrow. "Oh yeah?" She wondered how long Stephanie had been around. She certainly wasn't wandering around lost and all doe eyed, that was for sure.
She'd definitely picked up on April's intent. That was good. There had been a few people ready that were dense as a pile of bricks. It wasn't even like she was subtle. April prided herself on being very up front with intentions. "oh, any luck with that yet? Food is all over the place, in quality that is."
A little grin sprouted on her lips. "Oh really?" she purred. "I can respect that. Wanting to take a lovely date somewhere and treat her right~"

"I appreciate it Sparky, but I think anyone that knows me would tell you that my ego is pretty huge already" She mused with a chuckle. She wasn't sure she wholly agreed. She wasn't super arrogant or anything right? She was just confident. Which was a good thing. Confidence was both freeing, and sexy.
"Your lights are very good though, I like mood lighting~" She murmured a little closer to Skye's ears again. She knew that some people were unconfident or unhappy in their powers, and she thought Skye's were just wonderful.
She let out another wicked cackle. "Oh Honey." She led with an amused tone. "Thirst doesn't begin to describe me." She winked.
April liked that idea. She leaned forwards to nip at Skye's lower lip. "Sure thing cutie~ Why don'tcha lead the way?~"

Most people wouldn't actually peg April as super observant. She could often field assumptions about the airhead blonde stereotype from the way that she interacted with some people, especially pretty ones. But she was generally pretty sharp and good at taking in details. According to her brother, and some 'colleagues' she'd spoken to she was a pretty excellent EMT too, before she lost all that time.
There was something about the way that the brunette angled herself, the way she held her camera and stole glances at April. It was interesting. She'd chatted up more than a few people since she'd woken up here, and no two of them were the same. It was exciting and amusing and a little terrifying all at the same time to find all these different personality traits among people. She supposed a photographer ought to be detail oriented though.
"I am quite the flatterer. Nothin' wrong with letting the beautiful people know they are so." She teased. "Lots of interesting accents~" She purred. Oh she liked this one, she seemed to have some hidden depth, below the surface.
"Oooh, and she has a name!" She cheered, a little quietly. "A pretty one at that." April wasn't sure how to answer the followup, exactly speaking. "I'm from Oregon, originally. Living here for now, new to it~" It wasn't technically speaking, a lie. It just wasn't a whole truth. You didn't just drop the fact that you were missing 8 years of your life on people. Especially people you were interested in. "And the name is April, beautiful." She replied. Directness helped.

April was always highly amused when someone put their foot in their mouth. Shelby certainly wasn't a prickly personality, given how much she apologised whenever she managed to trip herself up like she just had with the cab driver. It was so totally adorable. April liked people with all sorts of personalities, she certainly didn't mind people with cold exteriors, or people that could be nasty. Some of them were freaking amazing in bed. But she did prefer soft people like Shelby, if she was being totally honest.
She grinned at the girl as she floundered a little, her fingers softly drawing circles in the other girl's knee.
"Hm. A topic." She hummed. What did she like to think about? Warmth. Fire. People. "What about a campfire, or a fireplace?~" She suggested.

April didn't think about powers that much, she hadn't even thought to ask about what Shelby's were, but whenever she was staring into a pretty persons eyes she couldn't help but wonder how telepathic people saw the world. What the internal dialogue for a quirky girl like Shelby looked like, she suspected it was probably very erratic and interesting. That would've been a very interesting power to have, to be sure.
April was very pleased that Shelby was similarly eager, even more so that in her peripheral vision that the driver seemed to be just letting them get on with it. She supposed again, he could have worse customers in his car. Cabbies probably came across all sorts of interesting passengers, two frisky woman couldn't be that bad.
Her own hands wandered, in a more practised and teasing manor she chuckled. "You're doin' just fine honey. I don't mind taking the lead and showing you a thing or two, but maybe we should save some for later, huh?~"
