The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

What sort of feeling had Kami felt about the Order? Was he an empath or something? "At the moment my group is fired up with what the humans are doing to our kind. I wouldn't doubt if more than one of my people were wishing humans didn't exist right now. We don't take kindly to feeling inferior let alone being forced to be such. We are the future of this world and it's time for us to step up and take our place within it. That would best sum up my group. Is that something that interests you or perhaps you are more on the level of the X-Men. They would rather try to save mutants and humans while the humans scorn them and they are made to brush it off. I know deep down it burns at them but they don't do anything about it. Then again there is Hunter and his people. They's more like a band of mercenaries who have to fend for themselves while doing his bidding. Like wild dogs they are only organized because Hunter makes them do things. My group has a commonality and all of us would gladly work with one another ebcause we strive for a common goal to help us all."
Syn stopped as she realized she was starting to rant. She took a sip of her drink and relaxed while looking Kami's face over. She wondered what his past held. Was her little speech enough to gain his interest further?
Hearing the fact that the man was interested in her group made Syn curious. "What exactly made you so curious about my group?" She then started to wonder if perhaps he had heard about them from somewhere. Maybe those mansion jerks had been talking smack. She was interested in what he had to say, and so she ate snother cube of cheese while waiting for his to answer.
"Nice to meet you Kami. My name is Syn. I haven't seen you before but I noticed during the meeting that you weren't standing with Hunter's people nor with those from the Mansion. Instead, you were near my group of people." She looked his face over as she treid to read him. "I'm curious as to why that was, or was it simply that you just wanted to have a place to be and that was the closest."
Being hungery Syn decided to go to the canteen and get something to eat. She picked up an apple, some cubes of cheese and had one of the cooks make a turkey sandwich. Then turning to look for a place to sit she noticed the man from the meeting and made her way over to him.
"This seat taken?" Not waiting for a response Syn set her tray down and then sat down. She popped one of the cheese cubes in her mouth and looked the man over now thay she had a better view of him.
Syn's phone buzzed for her attention. Pulling the device out of her pocket she checked the incoming message. 'A new recruit is waiting in the Infirmary. His name is Shade.' Shade, she had seen that name before. Scrolling through her other messages Syn came across one sent from Lisa that spoke of a man named Shade.
Standing up she directed herself to her brother and Sonya/Teresa. "I need to check on something. If you need me you know how to get ahold of me." As she finished her sentence Syn flashed her phone to them then left the canteen.
The conversation was starting to bore Syn. This was part of her reason for being silent. She was also hoping Voltaire might devulge something about himself or things he knew to Abyss or Sonya/Teresa. She was letting her sibling and her new comrade do the talking for now.
Speaking of her sibling. Syn felt her side get poked. The only culprit she knew that was close enough was her brother, but why would he do something like that now? She responded with a strong backhand to his shoulder. It wasn't anything that would hurt him but she still put enough force behind it that it would get his attention.
Not wanting to miss too much of the conversation Syn returned with a twenty ounce Sprite bottle. The girl sat next to her brother and smiled to Voltaire. She was sure he was hoping Syn wouldn't return. Alas, it was a lost hope. Sipping some of her soda Syn remained silent for now.
Laughing at Voltaires comments Syn continues to direct herself at the edgey man. "So you do have a sense of humor. Oh you're fun." She watched 'Teresa' come back with some food and drinks. The other woman was just in time for Voltaires nervous spark which made her change her seating arrangement. Again Syn giggled softly as she walked away to get herself something to drink.
Voltaire's statement and reaction to Syn's apparance made the wicked girl smile. "I'm glad I'm not easily forgetten." Syn winked to Voltaire before answering her brother's question even though it was asked to the sparky man. "We were having a discussion not long ago about wild mutan powers. I was merely toying with him, but he apparently doesn't have a sense of humor."
"Though I'd like for us to have a family discussion we can do that later. You know I enjoy surprising people my dear brother. Let us see who this so called stray is." Syn moved towards the portal and stepped out onto the solid floor of the canteen. She then looked to see who her brother was talking about and her eyes light up as she spotted Voltaire. Their previous meeting had left the man in a rather uptight mood. Syn was very interested in finding out what sort of mood he would be in now. "Hello again."
"Well, our dear sister can absorb life energy from others. She can also sap some of your mutation and use it herself. So I'd becareful around her if you ever meet her." Syn then turns to her brother and his clone as they show off in an almost annoying manner. At least in Syn's mind it's annoying, but that's probably due to Abyss being her brother. It's a sibling thing.
Smiling to Sonya as Abyss devulges the fact that the big red hulk and herself ar related Syn shakes her head to Sonya's question. "No, in fact our sister doesn't have any of the same powers either." She lets that soak in for a moment while wondering what Sonya must be thinking that Abyss, Syn are siblings with another sister. "While I do have some strength it no where compares to my dear brothers ability. On top of that I'm complicated as well as very influential. So much so that our beloved host seems to have taken the liberty of briefing his personnel about me. They tend to steer clear of me or if they do respond to me it's in very brief statements before they go on with their business. It's actually quite rude but in a way it's also fun knowing I'm so well known."
Though there aren't any chairs in the void Syn elects to sit back and listen to her brother and Sonya talk. It actually pleases her that they seem to be connecting some. Perhaps that will help keep her loyalty even after all this is over. At the same time it's good to hear more about the other woman. Though, when the topic of her brothers clones arises she listens due to the fact that she never really knew the full details of what happened or how they were unleashed.
When Sonya directs her curious question about telling others what she can do to both Syn abd her brother Syn shakes her head. "No, you're ability works best with the least amount of people knowing what you can really do. My suggestion is to keep it a secret. It's been working well for you thus far."
The information Sonya was enquiring about Syn didn't have all the answers. She had ideas of who worked for Hunter. That being the people that had surrounded him at the initial meeting. "I don't have hard evidence of who is on his payroll but I do have some good ideas of who. There was an asian man that stood by him like some sort of enforcer. There were a couple females and a man who somehow seemed to be a sort of scientist maybe." Syn tries to rack her brain for possible names but in truth she hadn't met with any of those people save for Shogun briefly in the canteen.
"Abyss if you want to go talk with the twin boys then be my guest. I plan to stay here in the labs for now."
The images Syn was projecting in her mind of the plant controlling boys helped confirm her decision. "Never mind about the plant boys. They don't sound like they would work out. Besides, in my opinion plants are too easily defeated."
Sonya seemed a little annoyed about how she was lured to the labs, but Syn had to make sure she arrived so they could talk face to face again. She also had another reason for bringing Sonya tot he labs. "Now that you're here I want you to find out as much about Hunter as possible. He seems to know alot about everyone and everything else, but not much is known about him and I want to change that. More specifically I want to know where his weakness lies. Should our little alliance with him fall through I need to know how to deal with him. In regards to the resistance. Right now Hunter has placed Kaz in charge of organizing everyone. At the moment they are working on team work skills so that everyone does their part when the attack on the camp occurs. Believe me I want to act faster but it's better for us to use his reseources than espend our own. He has claimed to have some of his people placed in positions within the camp so that he has info on the inside. I'm not sure who they are or how many people he has there so becareful if you go back."
Taking a bit of a break she finished her thoughts on the previous subject before going into the next one. "Those who are on our side are the twins Amp and Vibe, my brother Abyss, two girls who have darkness powers names Overcast and Omen, Isabel is another. I'm not sure if she was taken to the camp or not. She didn't get out of Sanctuary when we did. Then there is Shade and Ash who you seem to have run into already. Though they aren't official members yet. They need to prove themselves. Also, I've spoken with a man named Kami who is here in the labs. One more who I'm still unsure about is named Horus. The problem with him is that he seems to have two personalities within him. The one I first me went by the name of Horus like the Egyptian god. Then the same man introduced himself as Mandain here in the labs. So, I'm not sure if he will be a member or not." Syn thought for a moment hoping she didn't forget anyone. "I belive that's everyone thus far.
