The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

IT had been some time since Hunter had gotten things started for the resistance. There was a group who were training to capture a Stalker robot and this sparked some interest with Syn. She wanted to speak with her brother as well as any of the others that they could locate.
Syn had ran into Saturn in one of the hallways of the labs. She looked up at the massive clone. "Tell Abyss I want to speak with him." Her tone was calm but there was a hint of urgency within it.
The only thing Syn did after hearing the two men was laugh. Voltaire was flipping out and started shouting. Shogun was trying to settle Voltair down and persuade Syn to stop with her games. It was all too funny though.
Making her way back to the entry way Syn shook her head. "You boys are fun but I have other things to do. Maybe I'll see you both again." she then lowered her voice. "Preferably alone."
With that Syn left the canteen. Enough chaos had been caused for now. She didn't want to spoil all her fun too early.
Letting out a laugh Syn shook her head at the two men. "Are the two of you Hunters pets? I don't see any collars or leads attached to either of you." The girl squints her eyes a little as she looks Shogun and Voltaire over.
"As for your little explanation you stand corrected. I haven't harmed anyone. I'm just being friendly. If his powers hurt him then he is harming himself and if that's the case then perhaps he's a danger to others. Maybe he should be removed or put somewhere safe for himself and everyone around?" And so it was back to her infamous mind games. Oh how she loves her little games.
Voltaire pulled his hand away after some sparks snapped from him. Syn raised an eyebrow momentarily out of intrigue. So he gets electrical when he's stressed. Why in the world would he be stressed now? Unless, he's never had a girl touch his hand. The thought made Syn laugh internally. She hated to think of what would happen if a girl kissed the poor guy. Maybe they'd both explode.
"So your power makes you become electrified? That's interesting." Syn paused deliberately as she thought before answering Voltaire's question. "I'm best described as being complicated yet charming." The girl smiled sweetly at Voltaire, but her attention was broken when Shogun interrupted.
She felt like the other man was practically scolding her like a child. Well, the fact of thr matter was that Syn is sort of still a child. However, after taking her new role as leader of the Order she had done her best to show a more grown up side of herself. She would be the first to admit though that she still did what she wanted when she wanted.
Glaring at Shogun with her piercing green eyes one would think Syn had heat vision as she was staring a hole through Shogun. "You obviously don't know me very well and for that very reason I will discard what you just said to me. I'm not harming anyone so back off."
Once Iris and Calley were gone the red haired guy started in on Syn. He called her a spoiler of parties and stated that she had alot of work ahead of her to get on his good side. "Oh, you're gonna be fun." She stated in a soft tone.
It had been awhile since she had used her power of influence but now seemed like the perfect time to use it. Syn began to use her pheremones as she moved closer to the guy. Naturally she waited for a few moments to ensure the area was saturated enough for her dominance to take hold. "Somehow I don't think it will take as much work as you may think. I can be very likeable." Syn followed her statement with a sweet smile. "So why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself. You seem like an interesting person." To keep Voltaire off guard from what she was doing she placed her hand on his and gently gave it a squeeze.
When the boy, who was acting as Iris's meat shield, spoke out he mentioned something about dating Isabel. That was something Syn had heard before and it made her look the boy over more carefully. "I remember you showing up at Sanctuary not too long ago. You announced your relationship at that time." She would have to corner the boy so that she could speak with him more on the subject.
The obvious facial expressions on Iris's face told Syn that she was still getting under the other girl's skin. "Yes, I can see you're still alive. I wasn't expecting you to die. No, in fact I was hoping to see you again." Again the wicked girl smiled to Iris. Syn heard the comments from the others but her attention was focused on Iris at the moment. She did note the interest in Sanctuary from one of the guys however.
Iris gave a very brief and undetailed summary of the connection between herself and Syn in hopes of keeping any of the others from jumping into a pool that was much deeper than expected. She then started to make her way out of the canteen which took her right by Syn. Not moving and only smiling Syn stood her ground but allowed Iris to pass. Although, she was fully expecting an attack from behind.
With Iris now gone Syn redirected herself to the remaining bystanders. "I'm sure all of this has been confusing to you but I assure you that what goes on between Iris and myself doesn't affect any of you." Her bright green eyes locked on to the boy who had allowed Iris to hide behind him. "Now then, I think you and I should have a little talk."
The attemps Iris made to hide her fear wasn't good enough. Syn had mastered the the ability to spot signs of fear and hesitation. She prided herself on being able to cause emotional changes in people. The best part was that she wasn't even using her power. This was all sparking from Syn's mind games back in KP.
Hearing that Iris didn't want to talk about her hopefully horrific return to the mansion and noting that Deathstar was trapped in the camp made Syn laugh with joy. "That's the best news I've heard yet. I'm sure your friends were happy to see you again. Hopefully they didn't have much trouble welcoming you in." Syn flashed a smile to Iris.
The girl had somehow become Syn's favorite person. Quite possibly it was because of her reactions to Syn. Yes, that was the answer right there.
The boy that Iris was hiding behind spoke up. His statements seemed to reveal that he was unaware of the relations between Iris and Syn. Possibly it was a good thing that he didn't. However, Syn didn't move from her spot in front of the doorway. "We're just having a nice little chat. I haven't seen dear Iris in some time."
Syn tilted her head a bit to get a better view of Iris as she directed her words to the girl. "Where have you been hiding my dear?" Syn then decided to test Iris to see how she would react. "How was your visit at the mansion? Did you see your old friends again? Did you see my sister there as well?"
The delightful response as Iris shot out of her chair and hid behind a boy made Syn smile broadly. She really had left an impression on the girl named Iris. The supposed daughter of Hunter.
"I'm here because Hunter has invited myself and several members of my group here." She hoped the thought of there being more than just Syn at the labs would further increase the tension Iris was obviously showing.
"I'm glad you remember me. It's been awhile since I last saw you." Syn looked Iris over. The girl seemed to be in good shape. Syn loved the feeling she got when others showed fear.
Maybe it was boredom or maybe she wanted to just see who was in this maze of a facility, but Syn wandered into the canteen. Her eyes were met with several figures but only one truly stood out. "Iris."
Remainging quiet Syn continued to eat and drink, but she was being very observant. Listening to the two men talk was turing out to be rather interesting. They tried to speak without saying too much. This was something Syn could relate to as she does it all the time.
Syn nodded to Mandain or Horus or whichever one he was at the time as the man left. He could be a risk if he shares memories between his personalities. Might have to talk with him again at a later time.
Turning back to Kami and the other guy Syn listened to their little conversation while she ate some more of the tidbits of food she had put on her plate.
A second him? Was this guy saying that there are two people in the same body? "I met Horus in an alley. I didn't want him to harm my people so I stepped in and offered him the chance to redirect his fury elsewhere. He gladly accepted."
During the conversation with Kami another pair of figures approached. One of them introduced himself as Mandain, but Syn knew him as Horus yet there was something different about him. His personality was different and less aggressive. "Yes, we have already met before. Nice to see you made it here Horus."
Syn gave Kami a smile and a nod in response to his reply. It was good to know he wouldn't freeze up if things got messy.
Syn smiled widely as Kami requested to join her. "I will tell you now that we don't always go about things in the nicest way. People do and will get hurt so if that bothers you then I would like to know now as most of the others in my group have no problems with those things."
She still hoped he would insist on joining. If nothing else she could find out more about him as well as see what he knows.
