The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The training session with Nox had been more taxing than Kami had anticipated. Back at the monastery he had pushed himself to what he had believed where his limits. Only now was he discovering that there was much more he could be capable of.
However, he would now require a significant amount of nourishment to replenish his depleted stores of energy. There was a vast array of food available, but he chose a simple meal of rice and vegetables rather than sample any of the more exotic foods yet. Taking three plates for now he took a seat and began to eat his meal at an unhurried pace.
Being hungery Syn decided to go to the canteen and get something to eat. She picked up an apple, some cubes of cheese and had one of the cooks make a turkey sandwich. Then turning to look for a place to sit she noticed the man from the meeting and made her way over to him.
"This seat taken?" Not waiting for a response Syn set her tray down and then sat down. She popped one of the cheese cubes in her mouth and looked the man over now thay she had a better view of him.

Kami looked up at the woman and nodded, but she had already taken a seat. He recognised her as the nucleus of one of the three groups that had formed during the meeting, so most likely its leader.
Swallowing his mouthful of food he introduced himself, “Greetings, I am Kami.” Unsure of the customs in America he left it there rather than press further with any questions.
"Nice to meet you Kami. My name is Syn. I haven't seen you before but I noticed during the meeting that you weren't standing with Hunter's people nor with those from the Mansion. Instead, you were near my group of people." She looked his face over as she treid to read him. "I'm curious as to why that was, or was it simply that you just wanted to have a place to be and that was the closest."

Kami paused and though about her question. It was indeed and interesting one. Knowing Hunter was in command of one group he deduced that the collection of adolescents must have been the ones from the Mansion. Considering the severity of the meeting he did not wish to be seated with children.
However, Hunter and his group seemed to have a clear air of unity, master and commander. Syn’s however seemed more relaxed, where the members could be themselves, and yet not as lax and immature as the mansion group.
“Largely I was just looking for an empty chair,” he answered, “However something about your group intrigued me.” While he had not directly enquired about them, he had made his intentions clear and would now wait to see how she responded.
Hearing the fact that the man was interested in her group made Syn curious. "What exactly made you so curious about my group?" She then started to wonder if perhaps he had heard about them from somewhere. Maybe those mansion jerks had been talking smack. She was interested in what he had to say, and so she ate snother cube of cheese while waiting for his to answer.
“Just a feeling I got about them,” Kami answered. He paused for a moment and ate another mouthful of rice before continuing, “Perhaps you could tell me more of your group, satisfy my curiosity.” He phrased it as a suggestion, rather than a question.
The woman seemed fond of playing coy, and having never spent a great deal of time around women (the monetary was men only) he was a little unsure of how to act around her.
Ic: Mandain followed Shogun and one of the technicians that was the guide, arriving at the canteen Mandain thought he reckoned the girl from Horus his memory flashes, but he could be wrong, There also was what appeared to be monk, how he got here? No idea. Walking further into the canteen Mandain walked to the sandwich bar, taking a peanutbutter jelly sandwich and some milk to begin with, he hadn't had a bite since, well he couldn't remember. Turning around to wards to Shogun, "You want something too?" Mandain gave a stare to the woman and monk sitting and talking about something, since he didn't followed the conversation he had no clue what it was about. Taking a plate to put his sandwich on he waited for Shogun if he wanted something to eat.

Shogun followed their guide, who showed them to the door before leaving, taking a very leisurely pace back to his 'work'. Shogun noted several mutants from the meeting sitting around, and preferring not to speak to more than one person at a time, he was planning on getting a separate table for Mandain and himself. But he didn't need to be psychic to notice that Mandain was taking quite an interest in a woman. He remembered that she was the leader of one of the groups of mutants, and was currently deep in conversation with the energy-man. He could still sense the energy, bubbling away under the surface, but it was far less than it was at the meeting. He'd been keeping himself busy.
Shogun helped himself to a bowl of rice and chicken, and a glass of water. He got a few strange looks from staff and then remembered that he was still in armour. "You want to go sit with those two?"
(Ooc: Sorry I don't have anything better to post at the time ) Ic:
"Hmm, rice and chicken also nice" Mandain smiled and took a plate too put his sandwich and milk on. When Shogun asked the question Mandain moved closer to him, now standing with his month next to Shoguns ear whispering: "I think I met this woman before, at least Horus did, Maybe we will get a response from her with my presence here" Mandain put down his place and walked back to the buffet counter taking an apple out of a basket and bitting a chunk out of it. Walking back to Shogun picking up his plate he smiled.

Shogun was not comfortable with the boy that close. But it wasn't like he could be taken by surprise. But Mandain could have just mouthed the words and Shogun would have gotten it. But he didn't know that, so it wasn't entirely his fault. Shogun nodded, "Then go and introduce your better self. If she had a similar meeting with Horus to me, then I think that you may be oweing her an apology." Quite what for, Shogun wasn't for. But from what he knew of Horus, it couldn't have been a pleasent experience.
What sort of feeling had Kami felt about the Order? Was he an empath or something? "At the moment my group is fired up with what the humans are doing to our kind. I wouldn't doubt if more than one of my people were wishing humans didn't exist right now. We don't take kindly to feeling inferior let alone being forced to be such. We are the future of this world and it's time for us to step up and take our place within it. That would best sum up my group. Is that something that interests you or perhaps you are more on the level of the X-Men. They would rather try to save mutants and humans while the humans scorn them and they are made to brush it off. I know deep down it burns at them but they don't do anything about it. Then again there is Hunter and his people. They's more like a band of mercenaries who have to fend for themselves while doing his bidding. Like wild dogs they are only organized because Hunter makes them do things. My group has a commonality and all of us would gladly work with one another ebcause we strive for a common goal to help us all."
Syn stopped as she realized she was starting to rant. She took a sip of her drink and relaxed while looking Kami's face over. She wondered what his past held. Was her little speech enough to gain his interest further?
The woman’s speech struck a chord with Kami, especially about the treatment of mutants. While the monks that he had grown up with had accepted him, he had learnt since coming to America that his kind were hated and feared.
“So you seek to improve the quality of life for mutants?” Kami asked, “If that is the case then I would like to join with you in your cause, if you will have me.”
Syn smiled widely as Kami requested to join her. "I will tell you now that we don't always go about things in the nicest way. People do and will get hurt so if that bothers you then I would like to know now as most of the others in my group have no problems with those things."
She still hoped he would insist on joining. If nothing else she could find out more about him as well as see what he knows.
Shogun was right, if Horus did any thing wrong to this lady, he needed to take responsibility for the actions and apologize. He took some steps over to the table where the monk and lady where sitting down having a chat. He overheard the words joining and hurt and more.
"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting, but I think we already met" Mandain's first line was directed to the lady his second to the monk while having a smile on his face. "Nice to meet you too" Mandain directed himself to the lady again waiting for a response, if she knew him it go either way's Horus was nice to her, or very harsh, of course there was the possibility she didn't even knew him at all, and this was being mistaken for a terrible flirting sentence, either way Mandain had no clue of what was to be expected of the current situation.
