The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Oh I've met him before but I was hoping you could tell me more about him as my meeting with him wasn't very informative. He seemed like a boy on a sugar high. Yet, you describe him as being more in control. Is the Calley you know a young boy roughly in his early to mid teens?" Perhaps it was a different person or maybe Calley was putting on a show when he was at Sanctuary.
When Katrina moved closer to Syn the older girl thought of how easy it would be to use her power, but she refrained and allowed Katrina to be as close as she was. Katrina's whispered voice felt like a butterfly fanning Syn's ear as the girl spoke. "Don't worry I won't say anything to him. I know how to keep secrets." With that Syn winked and smiled at Katrina as the girl sat back.
Looking as if she was searching her brain for a response Syn tilted her head back and slightly to the right before bringing it back down to look at the girl. "I'm not sure if there are other schools for mutants and I'm not sure where they all live. Some live in the streets while others live in their own houses or apartments." Syn held back mentioning where herself and her companions had come from.
"Yeah, I'm also glad I'm not in the camps. I can't imagine what the mutants there are going through. I do know, however, that we will get all of our friends out of there." Syn continued with the reassuring/concerned composure. So far it seemed to be working as far as keeping the girl talking.
Katrina mentioned making lots of friends but she sounded a little upset that she might be the youngest one at the labs. "Well, don't let the age factor keep you from making more friends. In fact, I'd like to be your friend too." Syn smiled at Katrina genuinely. She really did want to be the girl's friend. Afterall, if she could convince the girl that Syn isn't such a bad person then perhaps that could open up some doors of opportunity later on.
Again Calley's name is brought to her attention. It seems as if Calley has gotten to know quite a few people and was now working with Katrina doing studies. "Katrina, can you tell me about Calley? I might consider doing some studies of my own, but I'd like to know m,ore about your study mate." There was something that just never sat well with Syn in regards to Calley. First off he clams to be Isabel's boyfriend. Then her brother appears to have taken some sort of liking to the boy. She was determined to figure out whatever secrets Calley has.
It wasn't quite the answer Syn was hoping for. She was hoping the girl had spent some time there. Perhaps a few weeks or even months. She was hoping to find out more detail about the mansion and more importantly the people living there. So, it wasn't the kind of response Syn wanted but it was a start. Perhaps she could still find out some things as well as implant some thoughts into Katrina's head.
"I heard it was quite a mess the night of the raid. I'm sorry to hear your stay there was shortened in such a drastic manner." Hopefully appealing to the girl's vulnerability of that night might get her to keep talking. "At least there are a few others who managed to get out. So perhaps you've bonded with some of them since arriving here, or maybe you've found new friends since you've been here."
Looking the girl over Syn didn't see any obvious abnormalities. No pointed ears, or fangs or wings folded behind her back. So, if this girl is a mutant then what can she do? "Mind if I ask why you were at the mansion? Were you planning on living there?"
Well, Katrina might not be a little kid but her question sure made it seem like she still had kid like thoughts. Syn smiled at the younger girl then ran her own fingers through her hair like a comb. "Yes, this is my real hair. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. I suppose it's part of my being a mutant and all."
Sitting back Syn thought it would be fun to find out how much info she could get out of the girl as well as sew some evil seeds. "You were with the mansion residents as I recall. How is it there? What are the people like there?"
A small sounding voice reached Syn's ears. She had closed her eyes for a couple minutes so she didn't see the other girl come into the library. Opening her green eyes Syn looked the new arrival over. She was a young blonde girl that she had seen at the meeting Hunter had when everyone initially arrived at the labs. Syn remembered the girl was by the group from the mansion. Immediately Syn began wondering if the girl was a mutant and what she could do.
Smiling back and speaking in a soft tone Syn replied back. "Well, hello hun. What's your name?"
Wanting to relax for awhile Syn wandered until she found what looked like a library not far from the barracks. There wasn't anyone in the room at the moment so it was quiet as a tomb. This was a perfect place to sit down and calm down. Finding a rather comfortable looking chair Syn sat and took a deep relaxing breath.
Vibe had some very good questions as she spat them out. Each one made Syn think and she was sure her brother was doing the same. "I'm not one hundred percent positive but I'm willing to bet that most of those who sat or stood near Hunter in the meeting were his people." She looked to her brother to see if maybe he had found out anything on his own.
There had always been a feeling inside Syn that suggested Hunter had a number of people working for him. She didn't know how many or how many of them were mutants, but at least she got to see the few that gathered around the mystery man during the meeting. In fact, the meeting was pretty much a showing of who stood where. There was an obvious seperation of three groups. Hunter and his group and then those who came from the mansion. Those wanna be X-Men.
Syn had noted that at least one of the X-Men had made it to the labs. She had been at the battle in front of KP. The sight of only one of Tricity's precious members pleased Syn. That meant that hopefully the others had been captured or surrendered like the cowards they are. If it was possible to see someone's aura within the void then Syn would be glowing as she dwelled in thought for a few moments.
Mentally shaking away her thoughts Syn looked to her companions. "I think we should end our conversation for now and do some more poking around. Besides, I need to get Teresa here to the labs so she can help find out more information." Turning to Abyss now. "I would appreciate it if you got me back to the real world now."
SYn nodded to her brother as they were on the same page. They needed to track down the creator of the Stalkers and see what they could do to either destroy to machines or possibly employ them.
Vibe's comments made Syn smile a bit as the girl was getting back to being herself. "Once we're out of here then you can shop all you want my dear Vibe. Hopefully we can keep all this under wraps from Hunter and his cronies. On a side note I do want to find out more about Hunter." The look on Syn's face had a visible sign of priority mixed with curiousity. "That might be another task for my little informants if I can get either of them here to the labs."
The questions from Vibe were perfect tasks to hand off to Sonya and her wonderful ability. "I don't know a computer geek but I'm pretty sure I can have one of our outside operatives find out something. Once we find out as much as we can then we'll figure out what to do as I'm sure there will most likely be some of those damn machines around." She looked to her companions to see what they thought of that.
Looking to Vibe for a moment Syn smiled and nodded. "I haven't decided yet if we will break off once we get our people back. As much as I hate to admit it we do still need help with fighting those robots. So whether it's Huner's help, the X-men or even both; we have to do it together."
((OOC: Modified the introductions of Sonya as Teresa as Sonya's true identity is being kept secret and only Syn knows for now. Thank you.))
The explanation from her brother helped some with the disorientation feeling. It was definately a strange feeling but the fact that they had some privacy also helped her focus. "Well, first off...it's nice to actually hear from you Vibe. I also agree with you about wanting to do something now. That's why I've decided to let you both know that we have informants on the outside. They're both mutants. One of them has already been to Sanctuary. The one who was introduced to us as Sonny. The fact is he is a she and her name is Teresa. She can copy people. The other is a girl named Ash. She can tell things from objects people have touched. Both of them have been given the task of finding out as much information as possible. Sonya has already made contact with one of the police detectives."
Syn stopped for a moment as that was quite a bit for the others to soak up. Once she was sure they were still following along Syn continued. "As for the resistance I think we should continue to help Hunter with catching one of those robots and even breaking out our friends. However, I'm not about to wait for him to debate with the humans to have the law revoked. That could take years. Instead I think we need to go for the throat as it were. We need to cut off the support for those robots. After that the humans are cattle to the slaughter." She looked at Vibe and her brother and waited for their thoughts.
"Well, you got me there. I wasn't expecting that at all dear brother. Though I admit it is a bit weird that we'll be inside you." Syn shook her head and stepped into the portal.
A figure moving caught Syn's peripheral vision and as she turned a smile crossed he lips. She was smiling for two reasons. First being that her idea worked and second that Vibe had decided to rejoin them. The girl seemed to be in a little bit better of a mood from when they first arrived at the labs.
"Welcome Vibe. I'm calling for a private meeting for our group." Syn turned so she could address both Vibe and her bother. "I don't want to waste more time looking for Overcast so I'd like to get our meeting started. We can fill in any of the others later."
Now speaking directly to her brother. "You mentioned knowing a place for us to talk privately, enlighten us."
It was somewhat of a suprise when Abyss stated that he could provide a place for their little gathering that would be private. Had he been snooping around and stumbled onto such a setting? Her brothers comment regarding cell phones brought an idea into Syn's mind. She really needed to utilize the resources Dorian had provided her. She would have some sort of communications devices built for her group. Her mind began to wander into other things but she snapped herself back to the topic at hand.
"I'm not sure where any of them have gone off to. I think overcast went to the infirmary but as for the others we'll have to look for them." The girl paused for a moment as she thought of how to find Vibe. The girl could feel vibrations so perhaps we can draw her to them. "Do you know morse code my dear brother? If you do then you should be able to send out signals to Vibe by either stomping your foot on the floor or hitting the walls with your palm. Just don't do it so hard that you cause damage or attract Hunter's people.
Syn turned to look in the direction Saturn had pointed. She didn't really like the way he responded though. Tell him yourself The remark burned in her ears as she walked up to her brother. "I'd like to talk but not where Hunter or his henchmen can hear."
