The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((Sorry it took me so long, guys! I have been so busy! I'm so sorry! Hope you don't mind, I will catch up tomorrow, but I'll post right now))
Evie was walking down the hallways, just exploring. Her knowledge of the mansion was small, yet it grew with every adventure. All she would do was just walk down a hall until she randomly made a turn, then another, then another, and maybe up some stairs. Of course, this method got her lost quite a few times, but she always found someone to guide her back to the kitchen or what not.
As she walked down apparently a hallway full of rooms, not knowing which rooms they were or anything along those lines, she heards voices. Curiousity was sparked and she followed the voices until she reached a room. Her curiousity urged her to just simply walk in, but who's room was it? Who was talking? Merely bursting in was not too wise. So she peered around the corner and into the room. There were two guys, one she didn't know, yet the other, well, what do you know? The other was Wyn!
A smile was branded on her face because she recognized him and she couldn't help herself, her confidence, or foolishness, call it what you will, took over and walked in the doorway, in, not through, she's neither in the hall nor the room. "Hey Wyn, haven't seen you in a while." She smiled with a wave.

((OOC: Not a big problem. We understand. Glad to have ya back ^___^ ))
He looked up towards the door when the girl spoke. "Evie!" In a softer tone so she couldn't hear, "Speak of the devil." He stood up and walked over to her. Putting his arms around her, he gave her a hug. "How've ya been girlie? Enjoying yourself? You haven't stopped by at all, I was begining to think you've forgotten about me." He made a mock sniffle and a hurt voice, as he looked away. He chuckled and looked at her with a big grin on his face.
Surprise crossed his face. He reached his arm out toward Zeke, with his palm upward. "Oh where are my manners. Evie, this is Ezekiel White. He's new here. He'll be teaching World Religion." He brought his arm back and pointed his hand at Evie in the same fassion. "Zeke, this is Evie. She came here a couple weeks ago. She takes classes here."
He looked at Evie, leaned his head close to her head and spoke softly, "Err..you are still taking classes right? My mind just did that brain lock again." He chucked softly.

OOC- No problem... glad to see you back. *thumbs up*

"I agree, I wouldn't do anything without consent of the other party obviously. But who knows, maybe some amazing young woman will show up at my door, and I'll fall desperately in love with her..." Zeke chuckled at the thought. Suddenly, just as Zeke had finished speaking, a girl peered into the room.
She was very good looking, and had a good face. Kind, yet determined. She waved to Eldwyn and smiled a little. Zeke heard Nyle's comment of 'Speak of the devil', and nodded a little, "Indeed" he replied quitely. He stood and poured himself another drink while the girl named Evie and Nyle had conversation.
When he heard his name mentioned, he walked over and held his hand out to shake the girl's hand. "Nice to meet you Evie. Are you enjoying your stay here at the mansion? How are your classes?" He smiled kindly and took another drink of his Scotch which he held in his left hand.
Ira considered the deal carefully. If he didn't accept, he would not know where to look next. If he did accept the guard would become a real pain in the ass.. making decisions together, damn upstart. I'll get him in the end. He grimaced for a moment then cleared his face. "Understood and the deal is accepted. But one thing, I drive."
The guard laughed with pleasant amusement. "Sure, sure, you drive. Saves me having to read the damn manual" said Rack, while looking at the vehicle. Although very nice and attractive to any driver who sees it, he'd glanced in at the wheel and stuff - and found that an appropriate word to describe it would be "cockpit".
Evie was taken by surprise by the hug but she welcomed it with open arms...quite literally. "Yeah, sorry, just been exploring, big place, huh? ...Still trying to get used to it. Then again, I take a while to adjust to change." She smiled. This was because she had never moved, this was the first time, but this life was way better than the last and she was glad.
"Classes? Oh yeah, sorry, brain fart. Yeah, I'm taking classes." She then nodded at the other cuy, this Zeke. "Ezekiel? Cool name. And World Religion? I've always had a fasination with Egyptian mythology, but I guess that's not much of world religion huh? My bad..." She had always been in awe of Osiris, Ra, Horus, Anubis, and all of those other gods and goddesses, not so much of the part where Osiris and Isis, who are siblings, got married, that had always grossed Evie out.
"I guess I'm enjoying my classes, 'bout as much as classes can be enjoyed." She shrugged with a smirk.

A little smile crossed Zeke's lips as he looked at the new girl. She was intelligent and intuitive, that much seemed true. She was also a little comical at some points, and Zeke liked the humorous attitude. "Cool. The classes here are amazing. Perhaps you could even take one of my classes somtime. Mythology isn't the same as religion, although the two cross paths every so often. The classes that I will be teaching will deal with modern religions though. Maybe at a later time I will teach some classes based on older religions that don't really exist anymore... it would give an amazing outlook on how the religions of the past have shaped the present." Zeke spoke with a gleam in his eye and smile on his face. He was starting to feel better already, with Evie here.
He chuckled a little after her comment on classes, "Yeah, they can be stressful at times I know, but at the same time, learning can be fun. You just have to have an interest in what you are learning. Thus my interest in engineering and world religion. They just came naturally, so I know more about those areas then most, just because I have a natural interest in them."
Turning back to the desk, he set his drinking glass on it, and shut the case carrying all his alcahol. He wanted to make sure no one underage "accidentally" started drinking its contents. He shut the case and spun the dial on the outside, locking it for the time being. He was done drinking for tonight.
Then, he returned to Eldwyn and Evie's side. "Where are my manners, please, have a seat if you want." He motioned to the chairs in the room.

Evie nodded and smiled in agreement with what Zeke was saying and she accepted his offer by sitting down. Feeling better that she was out meeting people and becoming a part of this new school, she began to think about her reasons for coming and wondered if his reasons were in any way related, such as running, or searching for some control. But that would be a rude question to ask: Hi...do you lack self control? Are you running from someone? Is your past bad? she mentally ran over how stupid she could make it sound without opening her mouth.
"So why'd you come to this place?" She asked, attempting to make more chit-chat, then again, what is there to talk about that's not chit-chat at that moment? ...Exactly. Then again, she didn't expect him to just pop out and say his reasons, after all, if he asked her, her response would be understated. Oh, I'm here because I'm running from my sociopath father that wants to kill me and from an angry bunch of parents and because of them my powers are based off of my emotions, but I'm a nice person! somehow, that mental run-through told her that it wasn't a good idea to say that or to expect him to say something similar.

Zeke smiled at the girl. He listened silently and gave no reaction when the girl asked her question. Then he lowered his head and contemplated. People are going to keep asking you that question Zeke. You have to tell the truth eventually. No you can't them now. Is this girl to be trusted? Probably. She has a nice face, good eyes. The eyes are the window to soul. Even so, it's better to be cautious. He lifted his head and stared into her eyes. Tell her! Don't! His thoughts clashed.
Finally after a long awkward silence, he made his decision and spoke, "I'm here to teach religion. I believe that all kids need to know the different theories that run around and try to explain this universe. Plus, I'm a mutant. It's hard for me to get a job anywhere else, so I came here. There's more to it than that, but it's a long story. Better reserved for a later date." He used a good mix of explaining and cover-up at once. Good move Zeke.
He asked the expected return question after a little speech, "And what about you Evie. Everyone is running from something. I, from the dreams of my past and present. I dream every night and every day. It gives me foresight in a way, but its painful and frightening. I'm here to escape it and keep it under control, and to follow its destiny. What are you running from Evie."
Ezekiel asked a lot of question to get people thinking, and this was one of those questions. He wanted to see her reacting more than anything else, and hoped she would explain a little, as he had just shared a little of himself. He trusted her to a degree already, even though he had only known her a few minutes. Very good looking girl too...

Eldwyn stood back as the two spoke back and forth, with a smile on his face. Though a few times he cringed inwardly at the words chosen and said. All in all the two of them seemed to get along well. Leaning back he 'fell' into a chair that didn't exist. Confoming to his body completely, firm but still soft enough. The chair was created by his mind as he help himself up. He reclined slightly as he rested his elbows on the 'arms' with his hand folded together resting on his stomach. Noticing he was still in front of the open door. He moved away from the door, floating towards the table. The door to his room could be heard opening and shutting, when a cold pop floated into his waiting hand. He was content to sit back listening to them and enjoying thier company, but he was thirsty. "I don't want to interrupt at all, but either of you thirsty?" He really didn't have much to add to the current topic of conversation, since he already knew both of their basic background and why they were here.
"What am I running from?" She frowned quizically before looking down. At first, her eyes moved abruptly up and to the left, from her point of view, as she remembered her father, but she decided not to tell Zeke about him and moved her eyes to the right for only a moment before settling on the decision to tell him about the angry parents.
"Well, I guess I am running from a world that doesn't understand, or at least doesn't want to understand." She shrugged, her eyes moved back to Zeke. "I mean, typical, mutant girl is given a title as dangerous and can't be trusted around other people, especially not kids, who are really teenagers, kind of stereotype that I am sick of. I mean, best place to get rid of that annoyance, go to a mutant school." She smiled. "I'm actually thinking about doing that...hey, wait a minute." Her smile turned into something dorky as she looked around the room with the expression of 'oh my gosh, I'm already here!'.
When Eldwyn asked the question, Evie suddenly felt her tummy grumble and talk to her...it said 'Soda...' in case you were wondering. "Actually, now thatcha mention it, a sprite sounds pretty..." She paused as she searched for the right word and settled with a fancy one, "fantabulous. What about you?" Evie asked Zeke.

Correctly guessing that she was holding something back, Zeke continued: "Very good answer... the world is always misunderstanding us. I guess that is sort of our lot in life... to be misunderstood and stereotyped, and to a point: hated." He chuckled. "Fun isn't it?" He glanced at her eyes and noticed the shift up and left. From his rememberence, this indicated a half-truth of some sort. Just as well... he didn't need to know everything about her anyway...
He laughed and said nothing when she made the statement about the school. He loved that kind of random humor. Anything that made him laugh. There was so little laughing in this world, so it was good to take a moment to do something out of the ordinary.
Zeke watched as she asked Eldwyn for a soda, never once taking his eyes off her. He wa sort of caught up in her. He couldn't stop watching her, talking to her... he really enjoyed being with her, after only knowing her for a few minutes. Crazy... but most things in life are... When she asked him about the drink, his eyes darted up to Nyle for a brief moment, then back to Evie. "No thanks... I've had a lot to drink tonight. I'm good..." He smiled at her.

Eldwyn nodded to the two of them, and pulled a sprite from his 'frige. As the pop floated out of his room, the door could be heard opening and shutting, as it did with Zeke's door. He held out his hand and caught the pop. "Here you go." He handed the can to her and continued listening to the two talk as he took a few sips of his own drink.
