The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Zeke looked a little confused. He hadn't really expected Eldwyn to explain the whole thing to him so simply, it seemed he deserved a little bit longer of an answer. No matter, he would talk with Tricity more when could alone. For right now, it was probably best to just get a room rest some more.
Zeke sat down on the chair that Eldwyn offered. "Do you have a nickname Eldwyn? What about a codename?" Zeke felt around in his pants pocket. His hand felt the sulfiric key that led to the chopper room. Should he tell them about what he had seen. No... that would be later. Right now he had to focus on other things.
This was certainly not an ordinary school, and Eldwyn's answer seemed less than satisfactory. He had not seen any other adult mutants around, and he had whispers of mutants being kidnapped in this New York area recently. Could it be that many of the faculty here had been captured by some enemies? In any case, the schooled needed him, that much he was sure of. Eldwyn didn't understand everything, but could anybody? Nobody could ever be Zeke. Only Ezekiel White could understand Ezekiel White really. Besides God anyways.
The circumstances were real, certainly real. And Eldwyn and Tricity seemed to take the news of danger quiet lightly, and they also both seemed to be skeptical and critical of Zeke. It was probably natural, but he didn't like the feeling of being the odd one, none the less.
Either way, both of the people were nice, and Eldwyn's attitude was always fantastic. The young man was kind, and almost always smiling unless it was a time to be serious. Zeke returned the smile and he spun the key in his hand while still keeping it his pocket.
"All right, I'll let Tricity sleep. I'm sorry to disturb, I just needed to understand. There is danger coming, and you're going to need my help, and if you want it, you're really going to have to trust me." He spoke, thinking of the chopper. Would they explain what that was all about soon? Maybe they would before he had to start asking questions about it. "X-Men eh? Any chance that there's an opening in your little group of X-Men? Catchy title to be sure. I'm interested in joining, but for your benefits, not my own."
Zeke smiled and turned to Tricity. "I really want to help you all, and I can, but you have to let me help you." He took a deep breath in and let it out, "Do you have a room I can stay in?" He turned back to Eldwyn, "You're an awesome guy. Maybe one of the few men I've ever met who was friendly. I'd consider you my friend already." He gave the man a look of respect and friendship.

SHMA'S RESIDENCE
Rack stepped a little to his left and closed his eyes. Kind of a strange question. Why would this man be asking about Ezekiel of all people. In fact, this was the first time that he had heard Zeke's name in about two years. What should he say to that one?
In a flash, the guards eyes shot open. He stared the bounty hunter down and replied, "Ezekiel White eh? I've heard of him, yes."
Rack smiled with teeth and stepped back to his right, still locking eyes with the man. "Ezekiel White and Shma were good friends a few years ago, and then one day Ezekiel up and left. I haven't heard of him since. Mr. White used to live here you know."
Rack was a little uncomfortable talking about Zeke. Few knew that Zeke was a mutant, and in Rack's mind, mutants had to stick together. You see, few knew that Rack was also a mutant.
Tricity put a hand up to indicate that she would like to speak since she thought the best information about the school would come from her own mouth. She cleared her throat and pulled up a blanket around her shoulders.
"As of late, many of the trained mutants here, otherwise known as the X-Men, have been injured...Yes, this is a school, but because of its nature in shacking up mutants, we also have to be prepared against those that would do us harm. Thus, we do have a group of trained mutants, the X-Men, in case we are ever attacked. We've been attacked a few times and have lost lives in the process. As a matter of fact, this is the second mansion. Our first one was destroyed because of a radical group of very organized people," she began explaining, running a hand through her hair and trying not to think of her friends who'd died.
"Even though we've lost a lot of members as of late, we still have many others who defend the mansion whether they are officially part of the X-Men or not. Zeke, as well as you, Nyle, are more than welcome to help in the defense of this mansion and its people. A title doesn't need to be given to you nor joining of some team in order for you to do that. We can use all the help we can get. Lately, I've become more and more worried about the safety of this place."
Tricity paused a moment and looked over to Zeke. "Now, can you tell me more about this...vision you've had?"

A big sigh. Zeke was certainly starting to get tired once more. His entire adventure of the day had not left him wide awake, even if he had a couple naps in between. Tricity was a nice lady to be sure.
"Thank you Tricity, I assure you that I will do everything I can to help you defend this school. And perhaps I could come on staff here as a faculty member. I am, after all, a very good religion scholar, and I could teach world religions and spirituality if you like. I really have nothing better to do at the moment except stay here and defend this place, and perhaps my joining as staff would divert both student and outsiders attention, especially at my sudden arrival. Could I join as a teacher here?" By this time, Zeke's speaking had slowed and his heart had calmed. He was speaking with much more clarity and dignity.
Another sigh, "As to my vision, it's rather complicated. Shortly after my friend Beth died, I began to have visions of the future. In fact, I cannot sleep without having one of these visions. In each dream, I hear and/or see Beth. She tells me what is to come, and what I need to do. That is how I knew to come to this exact location. That is how I knew that this place was not and ordinary, and that is how I know that I need to defend this place. I cannot go against my dreams. Whatever I dream WILL come true, but I can still have an impact on to what degree things happen. It's sort of like a foregone future that I can modify through my actions."
Ezekiel realized this sounded a little far-fetched, but it was the truth, and it was all he had at the moment. "In my most recent dream, Beth told me join you, and I saw an evil mutant chanting, 'It is my duty to kill... duty to kill...' over and over again. He was standing on the lawn of the school, looking for a victim."
Zeke took in some air in a prolonged breathe, and then let it out specifically through his mouth which he had formed into an 'O' shape. He basically blew the out air out of his mouth. This type of breathing always helped him think better. "The question is Miss Tricity, who is this evil mutant?"

Ezekiel clearly didn't thing his answer was enough. Eldwyn had just told him what he knew, if he needed to know more, he knew Tricity would fill him in. As for himself, he figured she would tell him in her own time when she thought it would be good.
'Do you have a nickname Eldwyn? What about a codename?'
Eldwyn looked a bit puzzled at this. "Codename? I'm not sure I fully understand the question. As for a nickname I normaly go by either Wyn or Nyle."
Noticing Tricity's hand, he held back his next words to let her speak. After she spoke and Ezekiel responded he decided to say his held back words.
"I don't want to sound rude or that I don't trust what you're saying Ezekiel, but, what do you want us to do right now? You've told us multiple times about the danger coming. Which, it seems is focused on you, and now involves the mansion and it's residents. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming you or accusing you of trying to have danger come here, because I do understand you went where you felt you could, where it is safe. This is probably the best place to be." Pausing and taking a deep breath. "A threat is a threat and should never be taken lighty. But we can't quite do anything just at this moment."
"We'll have to get all the info we can. Like, why is this person coming after you? Why would they risk an assult on the mansion? Who the person is, who they're working for, if they are working for someone that is. What roughly is the strength of our opponant, can and will they have reinforcents when they make their move? What resources do we have available, in human/mutant, weaponry, and defence?"
He sighed before continuing. "Up to this point, all we've known is that someone/thing is coming, and will be dangerous and cause trouble. While you were asleep, we had no way of getting any more info, so nothing could be done thus far."
Ira met the guard's stare with his own glare, which always gives the receiver strong impressions of brutal injuries and malicious application of pain in their future. The guard seemed a little too interested in Ira's reactions to these answers. Something was a miss. This guard was not telling him everything. But soon he would. Ira sighed heavily for no apparent reason. It was a small distraction as he took a telekinetic grasp of the guards sleeves and fused them to his shirt, and he quietly crushed the barrel of the gun. He stepped up to the guard, who tried to put his hand on the trigger but found that his own clothing restrained him. Ira reached out and casually lifted him up to his face by the throat, so that his blood red eyes were only inches from the mans, and said "Yes I have another question. What do you really know about Ezekiel White? I want to know everything."
Tricity looked over at Zeke and nodded. "Nyle is right. For now, we'll just have to wait for more of these visions in your dreams to reveal what is to come. We'll keep security extra tight until we can figure things out a little better."
She stepped out of her bed and began closing the blinds as it was now dark outside. "As for who it could be, there's no way to tell. We have so many enemies and I don't mean the mansion. I mean just mutants in general. It could be a mutant or human...there's no way to tell. Like I said...we'll just have to wait for your dreams."

"Thank you both. Yes, security would do well to increase atleast for the next couple of days." Zeke withdrew a small device from his pocket. It looked like a cell phone, but it was very small. Maybe a mini-blackberry. "My number is Sigma-67-5544. Should there be any problems, please alert me immediately by calling me."
He replaced the phone into his pocket. "Right, we'll have to wait for my dreams. That's a comforting thought. In that case, can I get a place to sleep here, a room maybe? And I ask again, could I become a teacher here? It would give me cover and keep the students from asking questions. World-religion is certainly my strong point, and I doubt you have any teachers as quailified as me to teach it."
He paced a few steps to his left, eyeballing the floor. He was deep in thought. Who could this evil mutant be? Finally he spun on his heels. "Nyle, once I get a room, I'll explain to you exactly what is going on. My history. I think you're entitled to that."
"I think we'll be okay for defence." Zeke reached down into his pocket and removed a small vial of liquid. It was water. He opened the top and threw the vial into the air, in the direction of the wall. In an instant his hand flew up, and sulfur came rushing out. Only a small ammount though. It collided with the water and instantly formed a mini acid rain cloud.
Zeke explained, while holding the cloud steady in the corner of the room, "I've neglected to explain my mutation. I am a producer and controller of sulfur. I can do virtually anything with it, including create acid rain clouds if there is water availible. Don't look directly at the cloud in the light, because it will give you a nasty glare. Thus the codename I use is 'Glare'."
Ezekiel brought his hand down and clapped it with his left hand. The cloud dissipated in a quick moment, and a small bit of water fell to the floor. The puddle was tiny, and Zeke leaned over and wiped it up with a paper towel he found.
"I assure you, I will do my best to guard this school. But I must have a cover so that the children do not become suspicious of me. Please allow me to be a teacher, and then we can work with it from there. I also need a room."

SHMA'S RESIDENCE
Rack was a little taken by surprise. He didn't quite expect Ira to make such a sudden move, and Rack was in a bit of a predicament. Whatever... this mutant didn't know who he was dealing with. Or maybe Rack didn't?
In a flash, Rack used his mutation. Rack teleported to directly behind the man, releasing the grip because he no longer had anything there to grip. "I'm sorry sir, that was quite violent. Please don't do that again."
Rack teleported again to a much farther position away. He had carefully surveyed the area, and didn't see anyone around at this time of day, so using the teleporting was all right.
"I can answer you questions about Ezekiel White, yes, I know quite a bit about him. But what's in it for me? Huh? We can play cat and mouse all day, but that's worthless. Rather than threaten me, why not cut a deal with me eh?"
In Rack's mind, he really liked the man. A man who would intimidate and kill at the drop of a hat. A thought came through his mind, Need a sidekick man?

"I can show you to where the guys' rooms are. I'm sure you'll be able to pick your own room, as I did. After you get the papers though."
' I'll explain to you exactly what is going on.' "Sounds good, I'm currious to know what's going on."
Eldwyn's eyes went wide when the man demonstraigted his powers, he jumped out of his chair. He may have been ready to smack him, but he held back. "Ezekiel," He paused only to get his attention, when he had it, "Don't EVER do that AGAIN." His voice did not raise at all, but it became stern and hard. "An explanation would have suficed. This was not the time or the place to demonstraght. We're in an enclosed room, no protection. You may have a fine degree of control, but can you tell me you have absolute control over your abilities?" He looked at him in the eyes, sternly. "Even if you do, thinking about everything around you should be priority." He looked over at Tricity, then down at her round tummy, "We don't want to endanger anyone, especially those who can't do anything to protect themselves right now." His voice was tense. Worry was clear in it. As well as anoyance. "If you decide to do that again, keep it in the Danger Room, or outside away from others. There's one question in particular she asks everyone: What is your mutation and is it dangerous to ourselves or anyone else? In your case, yes." He paused a moment and took a breath, his body seemed to slump a bit. "Even if sulfiric acid isn't deadly to adults right away," Worry, sadness, and desperation? "children are more suseptable, and they wouldn't understand what was goin on." By the time he finished his sentence, his voice was almost a whisper. He dropped back into the chair, holding his head with his hand, he looked at Ezekiel. All negitive emotions gone, though he was still worried and thinking about the children in the mansion.

Zeke chuckled a little to himself, "Don't worry Eldwyn. I have a good head on my shoulders. I assure you that there was no danger in my little demonstration," he turned his head and looked at Tricty, "to anyone in this room, especially the baby."
A deep breathe, "I learned very young in my life of my mutation, and I have total one hundred percent control over it. Besides, that was an extremely small cloud with no acid rain content. I could have manipulated the cloud to spew the acid for sure, but the cloud you saw had only reflection characteristics. I would under no circumstances put anybody at this mansion at risk to my mutation." His tone was solid and secure. He tried to say it as affirmatively as he could. Confidence was key, and Zeke had extreme confidence in his ability.
"Besides good friend, I can't fly out of windows." He chuckled a little out loud this time, and then became more serious, "But I guess you're right, perhaps I should not have used a simple demonstration. I apoligize if I rattled either of you."
Another sigh, "As for papers, I think it would be better if this were kept off the record. Trust me on this. It may be dangerous to record my being here, as there are many evil mutants who don't like me very much, they may even try to hunt me down. That's why I came here, for safety. If word gets out that I'm here, it could be bad. Also, this is another important reason for me to be here under the pretense of teaching."
He turned to the door. "If it's all right with you, Miss Tricity, I think I'll go get some rest now. Lead the way Nyle." He motioned to the door with his left hand. With his right hand, he reached into his pocket and felt the key again. The time might come when he would need it...
"You needn't worry about the records being found. Everything is on paper and secure in my room. I have to have records of everyone living here...I'm sorry, but that's just the way of it." She sat back down on her bed and handed him one of the new resident envelopes to him.
"Here. You can pick any room you like and...yes, you can teach a class about world religions. I think that would be very interesting for some of the older students. Just try and keep it un-biased. Come meet me tomorrow for more instructions and when class times will be held." Tricity paused a moment and looked between the two. "Zeke, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk to Nyle alone for one moment."

Zeke smiled at his acceptance of being a professor here at the school. "Thank you Miss Tricity. I will be unbiased and helpful. I think the students will find it quite beneficial."
He relutantly took the paperwork and put it under his arm. He would have to finish it when he got back to his room. Yes, he needed to go find a room.
He looked between the two and caught her and Nyle's eye-lock. Looks like I might need to step outside... "Yes, ma'am I will let you two have a moment. Nyle, I'll be waiting right outside." Zeke stepped out into the hall and turned knob, shutting the door silently behind him. He stepped away from the door to give the two privacy.
They don't really trust me... I guess I'll have to earn their trust. They're going to need to trust me when the evil one shows up... And he will. It's only a matter of time. How long? Who knew. But sooner or later his dream would come true, and sooner or later someone would be on Zeke's trail. After all, there were many friends of Shma's and they would all want revenge. Hopefully, this place was secure.
Then again, he had destroyed any evidence of the flight he and Beth had taken to the states. Whoever came looking for him would have a tough time tracking him down. And when he did finally catch up... Zeke would be ready.
He waited patiently for Nyle to show him the way to the men's dorms.

Eldwyn had stood up and was ready to head out the door when she said she'd like to talk to him. He quirked an eyebrow and looked at her. 'Wonder what she wants to talk about..' He had a short coversation with his mind starting there.
'Probably wants to scold me.'
'Why should I assume she wants to do that?'
'What do you mean why? You like burst out and nearly yelled and wanted to hit the guy for his stupidity!'
'So what?! It was stupid. I just reacted naturally. I'm not going to feel bad for doing that!'
'I never said you had to feel bad about it, but common, remember: dangerous to yourself of others? Yeah, that little outburst could be taken as: HEY LOOK! I'm upset and going to harm this guy!'
'Oh SHUT UP! Who's head is this anyways? Huh? Mine! Go away! I'm not going to assume anything from her. Hell, I don't even know her well enough to start making assumptions. And besides, she doesn't seem to be the type to..umm..well you know...I hate it when I draw blanks, even in my own head.'
'Hahaha! Yeah, it sucks don't it. Just goes to show how easily we loose ourselves.'
'Hehe, loose ourselves huh. No shit, I'm talking to myself.'
'At least it's not outloud. Otherwise they really would think you're crazy.'
'Hmm..Good point.'
He watched Ezekiel leave the room to wait for him outside. He sat back down looking at the woman. His face blank, a complete poker face.
Tricity came closer to where Nyle was sitting, so she could keep her tone low enough for just the two of them. "Just keep your eye on him like I was saying before. I don't know what to really believe about all this, but he seems sincere enough. We've had a few betrayers pass through the door, so I just like to make sure I know everyone here. Thanks, hun." She touched him on the shoulder and stood up, wrapping the blanket around her shoulders a bit tighter. Tricity walked over to the door and opened it. She saw Zeke not standing far away as she smiled at him and stood behind the door to let Nyle leave. "Goodnight, guys. See you tomorrow."
