The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He understood her completely. Instead of replying, he just nodded and winked. He stood up and walked to the door with her. "Goodnight Tricity, take care of yourself."
'See told you there was no reason to worry.'
'Yeah right, all you said was you weren't going to assume.'
'Ya know what, shut up.'
He looked at Ezekiel. "Ready to find yourself a room?" He headed toward the guy's area. "You can pick any one you'd like, besides the ones that are already taken. Which you should be able to tell which of them they are. That one," He pointed to his door as they neared it, "Is mine."

Zeke heard the door open and he pulled himself off of leaning on the wall. He saw Tricity standing there in the doorwar and heard her remark about finding a room. He smiled and nodded to her. "Take care Tricity, I'll have these papers ready by tomorrow." He waited for Eldwyn to walk out and then followed him to the guys' dorm.
As they came to Eldwyn's room, Zeke took a quick peek inside. "Nice, the rooms here are pretty good." He walked across the hall and found an empty room. If they're going to be watching me carefully, which I suppose is what their conversation was about, then I might as well make their job easier by sleeping across the hall from him. Ezekiel opened the door and found it was vacant, so he stepped inside and threw the papers down on the bed. Drawing the small cell phone from his pocket, his dialed the airport and called for his luggage to be dropped here. Thankfully, they wouldn't even know it was Zeke, he had used a false name, thanks to a friend on the inside of the terminal.
While calling he surveyed the room a little closer. It was fairly large for a singles dorm room, 8 by 8 feet Zeke guessed, and roomy. The ceiling was higher than most, which made the room seem even bigger. Off to the left side was a bed, with a dresser on the opposite side of the room. On the wall closest to the door was a bookshelf, and on the far wall there was a window looking out of the mansion. Yes... this room would do nicely. It needed more furnishing though. Thank goodness he had brought some stuff with him from Israel.
After finishing the call for his and Beth's bags, he turned back to Nyle who seemed to be still in the hall. "My luggage isn't here yet, so if you want to talk, we can do that while I wait for it. After it comes I'm gonna' get some sleep."
Beth... what will you teach me tonight? Only Beth knew...
The guard disappeared from his grasp and Ira heard his voice behind him. He whirled around and found no one there, then heard him again from further away. He could not hold on to this one. "A deal you say? What kind of deal would you like? Perhaps a share of the bounty? Come closer so we can talk civily."

"I guess we'll be Hall buddies huh?" He laughed at his stipid comment. "What do you think of the rooms? Pretty nuce huh."
" I'm guessing you two took off from the airport pretty quickly if you didn't grab your luggage." He looked down at his shirt and sighed, "Umm, why don't we talk in my room. A straight view of the gate. And that way, I can change my shirt." He chuckled slightly and walked into his room. He tapped a few buttons on his laptop's keyboard and it woke up. "Welcome back. Ms.Henderson replied." "Oh, is that so?" He turned toward Ezekiel, "Common in. Don't mind Ash there. Just grab a seat anywhere."He had added a comfterble computer chair, a comfterble plush armchair next to his window, and a large fur covered beanbag chair. Opening his closet, he pulled off his shirt and grabbed a dark blue shirt. He closed the closet door and began to button up his shirt, "How much is she asking for?" "$2000. Normally at least. But she likes the material and the paterns so she will do it for half her normal price. I've already taken care of the other materials and your responce. She also noted she'd have it finished in a week from the day she recieves the materials. Which should be tomorrow." "Alright, sounds good. Thanks Ash." He sat down in the chair next to the window in the corner, so he didn't block the view of the gate, and pulled out his smokes. Setting the ash tray on the window sill, he lit his cig. He waited for Ezekiel to step into the room before shutting the door.

The guard smiled knowingly. He knew that Ira would come around soon enough, and now he would make the man pay dearly for his impudence of trying to threaten Rack. Yes, he would make the deal a stiff one.
"I'm okay right where I am thank you." He continued to stand at a safe distance. "My deal is this: First, you allow me to help you in this endevour. You're going to need help finding Zeke, and I'm the one who can help you... especially with my mutation. Second, I get half the bounty. That's clear enough. Third, we work as a team, I don't take orders from you, you don't take orders from me. We make decisions together... understood?"
OOC: From this point, if Ira accepts the deal, then you can RP Rack as an NPC that works with you according to the terms of the deal. Also, he will inform you that Zeke frequented a nearby bar.

Zeke stepped accross the hall into Eldwyn's room, and let his friend close the door behind him. "Yes, the rooms here are very nice. I wonder who built them... fine work to be sure." He stepped around the room and surveyed it a little closer, then he dropped himself into the computer chair and stared out the window for a second. No one here yet Zeke... no one here yet...
After a moment, he looked up to the computer when Nyle finished talking to it. "Nice laptop you have there. Ash seems to be a very good communicator and worker." He changed the subject instantly. "I need to tell you who I am, and what I'm doing here."
Zeke shifted in his chair and looked Eldwyn direct in the eyes. "I know I can trust you not to reveal this to anyone here. Only you and Tricity can know the truth for now. I will let others know if I see the need, but please allow me to tell them myself. If anyone asks you, please tell them I am just a religion teacher from Lebanon. That should be enough to satisfy their curiosity. If they need to know more, they can come to me personally."
Zeke spun a little in the chair, back and forth. He began to explain his past, and then moved on to what had happened recently. He told it the exact same way he had told Tricity, and when he was finished he sighed deeply. "Well, now you know me better. I'm not the best of guys, but I do care for this school, and I need to figure out why I'm having these dreams. Maybe Beth will tell me someday..."
He stared out the window again. "Thanks for listening Nyle. You don't know what a relief it is to be open and honest with someone. Thanks for being a true friend, even though you've only known me for several hours."

"Yeah, she is. She's helped me a lot. Not bad for conversation either." He chuckled. "Don't worry, unless a life is in danger, I don't say anything to anyone."
He listened intently to the man, taking drags of his smoke. "Hmm. Well, from what you've told me, you only knew Beth for a short time. Maybe she had another ability you weren't aware of? She might not be dead, just incapasitated. Just a thought."
'Thanks for listening Nyle.'
"No problem. I hope you don't actually think of yourself as a bad guy for any of the stuff you've done. Truth be told, I know a lot of people have done a lot of things that they aren't proud of, myself included. It's all part of being human." He stood up and walked toward his bed and opened his 'nightstand', which turned out to be a mini-fridge. "You thirsty at all? Don't have any alcohol, though I hope to remidy that soon." He winked at Ezekial, "But I do have some cherry coke, pepsi, mountain dew, apple juice, and some water. If you want something, help yourself." He grabbed a cherry coke and sat back down.
"Enough of those subjects, what ya say? I know you asked me this, so I figure I'll return the question: Do you have a name you go by?"

Zeke spun left and right in the chair once more as Nyle contemplated Beth's possible abilities. He smiled knowingly, "I wish I could believe that she wasn't dead. But I saw her die. She died in my arms, and I buried her only minutes later. I don't understand these dreams though. Perhaps her mutation allowed her spirit to slip into some state in which she can make contact with others through dreams?"
A deep breath. For a few seconds Zeke sat there in silence, contemplating the idea. Could it be possibly that he might be quite literally haunted by her? It wasn't the scary haunting, but more of a welcome one. Her spirit still ived on, in his dreams it seemed. Crazy.
When Nyle offered a drink Zeke smiled. "Thanks, I'm a big drinker. When my luggage comes, you'll see that. I prefer Scotch to anything else, but I'll drink anything really, from water to alcahol. I've found that it doesn't quite affect me that bad. I can honestly say I've never been drunk, even though I've drank quite a bit. A lot of people might think a preacher boy might drink, but I found it as a welcome habit to take up when I was running for my life. A bar is a great place to hide."
He stood and walked over to the fridge, pulled open the door and surveyed the contents. After a moment, he selected a Mountain Dew and returned to his chair. He screwed the top off the bottle and took a deep chug of the beverage. It was a relief to be safe for the moment.
"I agree, let's move on to something most tasteful." He smiled and took another drink from his Dew. "A name I go by? Most people call me Zeke or Ezekiel, but when using my mutation I prefer to go by the name Glare. It's a codename of sorts that makes me unique. Sets me apart from others and highlights my abilities. I'm not overly obsessive with it, but I'm frankly very proud of my standing as a mutant. Most mutants are worried and afraid, I'm proud... and I think it's important for every mutant to have a sense of pride in the history they are creating. I guess I just notice it more because I'm Israeli. We're a proud lot." Zeke chuckled a bit.

"Hmm, I suppose the burrying part would complicate things a bit huh? Though, that last thought could be a possibility. We don't really know what happens when a person dies, let alone what happens to a mutant, how their abilities will effect anything."
"I don't see anything wrong with having a drink now and again. I never allow myself to drink enough to approach becoming drunk." Taking a drink of his pop, "As for hiding in a bar, I wouldn't have a clue, not allowed in just yet." He chuckled. 'Though, I have no doubt I could get in if I really wanted to.'
"Zeke, huh. Works for me." He held up his pop in a toast-like fashion. He thought a bit about Zeke was saying, taking a final drag from his smoke before putting it out, "Pride can be good and bad. It's caused the downfall of a lot of people, but on the other hand, it has brought people to bigger heights." Taking a few more sips of his drink, "I can't say I'm proud of being a mutant. But nor am I afraid or worried." He looked up at Zeke, "I'm not ashamed either. I'm just proud of WHO I am instead of WHAT. Thought I take pride in what I can do, like someone who takes pride in their job, what they can do. If I took pride solely in what I am, I don't feel I would be the same person I am now."

"Yes. Death has always been one of those things that bothers people. As for me, as I am a Christian, I belive those that accept Christ during life will immediately go heaven upon their death. It gives me hope... that most others don't have." He took a deep breathe. He typically didn't like to discuss his personal religion with his peers. "Then again, there are many beliefs in this world, and I am familiar with all of them. If I wasn't I couldn't teach a class on it. My thoughts are to explain all of the world religions from an unbiased point of view, and let the students choose for themselves. Everyone has to make their own choice. Though I may not agree with each religion, I find it extremely important to understand them all."
He smiled and looked at his friend. This one may worry about the state of life, and the religions, and the life after death. Yes, he may worry about it often. I hope I didn't just start him down a path he wasn't prepared for.
Hearing Eldwyn's comments on drinking made Zeke chuckle, "I'm sure you could get in... just about every mutant could. But I don't recommend it. Drinking should only be done legally. I've met many a youngster who started drinking too early, and it ruined their lives. Even though you're not too young, you're still underage, and although I have complete confidence in your ability to control your drinking, I wonder if you have that same confidence." A big smile, "Life is a wonderful thing, even for a mutant."
Zeke sucked down another sip of the Mountain Dew and then raised his bottle the same way Nyle did, "You are right on your stance with pride. I totally understand and completely agree with you. Pride can be dangerous if not restrained, but a healthy sense of pride can also be important." Another sip.
Suddenly, Zeke's pocket buzzed. He reached his hand in and pulled out his phone. He flipped the top open and spoke into the reciever, "Yes?" Pause. "Okay... I'll be right down."
Jumping up from his chair, he turned to Nyle, "My baggage just came, I'm gonna head down and get it. Then I think I shall go to bed. It has been a long day, and I need some rest. if you want to talk more, come into my room in a few minutes. I should be settled by then." He held out his hand to shake Eldwyn's, "Thanks man."
After the handshake, he turned and walked out the door and reached the front door. Walking out, he headed for the gate. There were his bags, sitting there. He opened the gate and pulled them in one by one, and then fused a small ammount of sulfur onto the side of each one. Then, with concentration, he moved the bags ahead of him floating, all the way to his room.
Dropping the bags on the floor and dissolving the sulfur, he unpacked and arranged his room to be comfortable. It certainly seemed more like home now. His closet was full of clothes and the dresser was as well. The bed was made and a couple fold up chairs were in the corner of the room. A wooden fold up table was in the other corner near the window, and on top was Zeke's personal bar.
Along with his baggage had come a 42" Plasma TV and DVD player that he had ordered several hours earlier. He opened the box and carefully arranged the TV accross from his bed. Then, he sat in bed and turned on the TV to the sports channel, waiting to see if Eldwyn would come in. If not, then he would go to bed soon.

"Myself, I'm an atheist, agnostic; whichever, I can't I really understand the difference. I don't care about any term someone slaps on me. I just don't believe in a 'GOD' or a higher power. When you die, you become reincarnated into another human at a later time." He took a breath and let it out slowly. "I believe in the human spirit. To me, once you die, your body decays like everything else, but your soul/spirit, lives on. At it's core, is the pure you, what make you who you are. It has layers, like an onion, layers of memories, experiences, things you've learned. Your soul splits into hundreds of bits, except for your core and certain exeriences and memories which were dramatic and drastic and extreamly important to yourself which did the most to make you who you are as a person. Those bits, are obsorbed into the core of your soul and become one with it, while the rest filter down into others all accross the world, and combine with the core souls of others who are just about to be born, or in the case of newborns that do not have a core soul due to being a true 'new addition' to the world, the small bit from your soul becomes the core of that child." Pausing he had a few sips of his drink, and continued looking slightly off into space while still looking at Zeke. "The core of your soul has a 'wavelength' if you will, as does every body. Your soul waits until a new body comes along with the same wavelength. This doesn't always happen right away, as that body may not come along for years, decades, or centuries. The cycle continues until your core soul becomes enlightened, learning and experiencing nearly everything and achieving a balace with all life. That enlightened soul has one last life to undertake. It does not split at all at this point, and its wavelength changes, into a new special one. When that soul is reincarntated, that person it becomes, is ahead of their time, and will achieve great things. Not nessisarily world wide, or even important to the media, but things such as working their entire life being selfless, gaining enough money to life off of modestly, while building a home for the homeless, feeding them, or taking in children who no one wants, changing a community, inventing something that benifits everyone. This person is the epidomy of everything we, as a people; strive to be. If I were to use someone you're familiar with as an example, Jeasus Christ, would be a great example of that soul." He looked fully at Zeke, "When that person dies, their soul rests in wait for all the others, while watching over the rest of us, helping us, trying to lead us toward enlightenment, protecting us from harm, sort of like a guiding guardian angel. What happens when we all become enlightened, only those enlightened souls know. Every small bit that drifts from its core soul and becomes one with another, brings that new soul a bit closer to that enlightenment."
He chuckled a bit as how serious he was and smiled, "This explains people knowing they've been somewhere that they never have been, deja-vu's, past lives, sudden leaps in knowledge or morality in certain people, Einstein for example, failed math, but came up with all of those equasions which we base so much off of and have learned so much from, or DaVinchi I think it was, who designed flying machines back when others couldn't fathom the thought, or the Egyptians, Myans, Aztechs, and others, along with the Druids in Ireland I believe, who all built things that should have been way beyond them, the pyramids stonehenge."
Zeke's phone rang, Eldwyn listened and waited patiently while listening. 'My baggage just came'
'That was darn quick, police never show up that quick.' He thought to himself with a chuckle to himself.
He held shook Zeke's hand, "No problem." As Zeke left, he turned his attention to the window and watched him collect his things. He noted when Zeke got the things into his room. He waited a few minutes giving the man time to unpack and settle in.
He stood up and walked out his door and *TAP TAP TAP* on Zeke's door. When it opened, "I won't stay too long, I'm sure you'd like to rest soon." He looked around and whistled when he saw the tv, "Nice stuff, like the tube."

Zeke looked up from the TV and smiled at his friend as he walked in the door. "Come on in man..." He dropped the remote onto the bed and moved over a little. "Thanks. I like my television, and the rooms here compliment it nice. I keep it low, the volume I mean. I promise it won't disturb you. And if it does, let me know and I'll see what I can do about it."
He stood and walked over to one of his chairs and sat. Then, after a moment of thought, he stood again and made himself a drink, just to warm his spirit, which was a little crazy right now. I've just experienced the most wild few days of my life... He blinked and stared off into the distance. He did this often when he was thinking deep, and he was sort of lost in the moment.
Finally he blinked again, this time out of it, and jerked his head back to Eldwyn, "Sorry, I doze off sometimes. My mind... it's always working and somewhere besides the here and now." He took a long drink from his Scotch and coughed a little, then took another sip. "I think I should lighten the mood... Any beautiful girls here at the school?"

He smiled at Zeke, "Don't worry about the TV's volume, at least not from me." He chuckled a bit. "The people int he other rooms..that's a different story. I'm not in my room all the time, but when I am, I usually have my own music or a book I'm zoned into." He walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. "Heh, don't worry about it, it happens to everyone from time to time.." He leaned back in the chair and looked toward the ceiling a bit as he thought, "Hmm..any beautiful girls...? Well, I'd say there are a few. I haven't met a lot of them, less than a handful in fact. Any single, only one I know of for sertain. Any your age? No." He let out a chuckle as he looked at Zeke and shrugged.

Zeke laughed a little and turned to fill up his drinking glass again. He took another swallow of the liquid and grew silent. He was thinking deep about what Beth had meant to him, and what it might mean to find another girl, perhaps here. He came back to reality and turned to Nyle, "Yes, I suppose I'm a little older than most of the people here, thus my position as teacher to avoid attention."
He sat back down on the bed and rolled his head in a circle, then set down his glass on the table. "Girls can be more mature than guys sometimes anyways. I've heard it said that girls are always two years more mature than guys. I'm not sure that's true all the time, but I've seen it true in a few cases. I, for one, am not half as mature as I wish I was, and at other times I'm too mature. It's all about finding balance I suppose. The theme of the universe, balance."
He became much more serious now, "But, I wish I could have Beth back. She was the gleam in my eye and love of my life. To lose her was torture, and I still feel it, though it happened over a day ago. I still feel her body in my arms, dying. I still feel her love for me, as her soul retreated from her physical state. I still feel it. I suppose I will always feel it." He brightened up a little. "I guess everyone deserves a second chance though huh? Perhaps fate has driven me here, to fall madly in love with a beautiful young mutant girl..." Half kidding and half not, he chuckled a little and looked into Eldwyn's eyes. "Perhaps it is fate..."

"I can agree with that. They do seem to be more mature than guys their own age, in some areas at least. Still young, so still immature, but with age come maturity and wisdom..at least hopefully." He chuckled. "I don't know about myself though. I haven't interacted with enough people to tell or be told. I haven't let people get too close to me either."
"Though, you being a teacher here, well, that could complicate things if you got involved with anyone who was still in 'school'." He shrugged. Honestly, he didn't care either way, he was putting it out there as a thought and a warning of sorts. "Personally, I'm not for or against it. As long as both parties have the best interests in mind for the other, I don't have a problem. Though, if I see a problem, I wouldn't have any hessitation to step in and do something."
He looked out the window at the fading light in the sky. Knowing what it's like to loose someone close to you, he spoke in a soft tone. "You must have known her for a while. I'm truely sorry to hear what happened. I know what it's like to loose someone close." He looked at Zeke with sympathetic eyes. Though he's never had a true girlfriend or anything close to it.
