The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The entrance had been effective enough, a few people got out, a couple got it, by all means a successful door had been made. Then it had gone away again. "Damn..." The hammer was going to be really heavy if he had to keep breaking through glass. Instead, now that he was inside, he turned his attention to the actual doors. Automatic sliding doors, a horrible invention. Cafas was walking over to it when something hit him from behind. He lashed out with his shield, expecting to find some form of person. Instead, he found what appeared to be a water cooler. Had it just hit him with a jet of water? Really? It crumpled under his hammer blow and he continued to the door.
Now how to make this stay open...
Cafas jammed the edge of his shield into the centre of the automatic doors, forcing a slight gap. With effort, he widened it, until, against the wishes of the building, it was pried apart enough for him to get his back against one side and his foot against the other, effectively barring the door open. People began to flood out en masse, forcing their way past him and nearly knocking him clean off his feet. "One at a time please, in an orderly fashion." People in emergencies weren't very good listeners, so he jammed his shield sideways into the top of the door to keep it open. "I said one at a time! We would like to minimise casualties, and all rushing out at once is going to get someone killed!"
Christ, am I speaking klingon or something?
The problem was, the flood of people out was stopping any of the X-men left outside getting in. Though the lobby was quickly emptying, despite the best efforts of some equipment. For example, there was something flying at his face. It looked wooden, and heavy.
What the...
Have you ever received a flying kick from a chair? No? Oh... Well, it's painful. It was a solid connection, wood on face; he was lucky to remain upright. The chair was now flailing at him. He moved it away from the doors with strategic kicks and carefully avoided the flailing arms, despite the growing pain in his face, which was growing oddly warm down one side. He picked up the chair and hurled it at a window. A spider web of cracks erupted, stayed for a moment, the disappeared. The chair lost a leg. It lost more than that one hammer swing later. Cafas took one of its heavy legs (it was clearly from some executive room) and rammed it into the glass again. More cracks. Cafas swiftly hit it again, and a small hole was made in the window. His hammer swung through a moment later and in a shower of glass the window opened up again. The few remaining civilians made their way out.
I'll hold this till everyone is in, then we can move on I guess.
"Careful with the glass surfaces, Pink" Gawain grinned as he made his way inside "I might need them..."
The door was forced open and people were running outside as fast as they could. CJ probably did not hear a word he was saying; he was too busy fighting a chair, and then smashing a window. He was already bruised and bloody, and they only made it as far as the front lobby.
Gawain knew bow and arrows were going to be pretty much useless around here; good thing that was not the only fighting style he was good at. The chair was smashed, but one of the comfortable armchairs that used to house waiting guests in the lobby slid across the floor with the momentum of... well, a sliding heavy chair, attempting to pin Gawain against the wall. The mirrorwalker ducked out of the way, and the armchair crashed into the wall.
"Well, for mving furniture, at least they are stupid." he grinned "Anyone else gettin' a Beauty and the Beast vibe here?..."
As an aswer, a light exploded above his head, covering him with a rain of sparks. Gawain rolled away and turned to the window that had just been smashed.
"NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO CUT THE ELECTRICITY!" he yelled. The last of the people left though the door, but there were too few to be all of them.
"C'mon CJ" Gawain turned, looking for possible threats "Let's go see who else is trapped in here."

Rebecca made it into the building through the door she shoved open before the building retaliated and forced it shut once more, but at least she was in. She would open the door again by force when the time came.
There were pressing matters at the moment involving violent office furniture tossing weight around at the team. Amidst the panic, Rebecca found some levity in Gawain's comment. "This'd be a wee bit more inviting if everything was singing, at least," she joked.
The humor was short lived when the girl noticed three small tables from the lobby flying through the air in her direction. Thankfully, the building had no idea what her power was, and tossed metal-legged tables. Rebecca caught the legs in her magnetic field and slowed their approach to her until they came to a stop a few feet from her.
Rebecca almost allowed herself to be pleased with her instincts when they kicked in again and spotted a small mahogany table coming her way with no metal appearing in her senses. Trying to act quickly, she raised her arm in a defensive position, just barely getting her metal bracer in the way of the object. The moment it made contact, she dropped her arm and moved out of the way, barely deflecting the object. She dropped to her knee and her focus on the metal tables was released, having them drop to the ground with a crash. She would have to thank Emerald for training her and keeping her from a wood-themed concussion.
Mirror called the pink-haired boy CJ, and Rebecca was happy to have him on the team, if for anything else than the mini-armory she sensed him carrying. "CJ, next time Ah think Ah'll be talkin' tae ye aboot a shield." The girl got to her feet and followed her leaders; there would be plenty of scared people waiting to be found.
Motorcycles traveled a hell of a lot faster if they disobeyed all the laws of traffic, or at least that’s what most people knew. Especially if said motorcycle was driven by a certain werewolf, yes Emerald Lupin had managed to violate most of the traffic laws in New York city getting to the Crystal Tower before most of the X’s did. Mirror was right; Emerald did end up getting there before everyone else and managed to get into the sealed building through an alternate route.
That alternate route of course, being the construction area behind the crystal tower, which luckily had a nice long, concrete tube, leaning up against part of the ground floor of the building. This tube managed to provide just enough leverage and just enough height for Emerald to come crashing through the back window of the tower on her motorcycle, causing glass to shatter everywhere.
Once inside, the werewolf quickly realized that she had managed to bust through into the storage room, which was pretty much demolished once she crashed through. At least there wouldn't be anything attacking her from here. With a reckless look beneath her visor, the wolf girl rode her bike through the hallways of the building, searching for anyone along the way.
After a while, Emerald found a group of individuals, interns by their age, being chased by what it looked to be a legion of copy machines. Emerald took a moment to process this before zooming after them at top speed which didn't take her long.
"Move out of the way!" Emerald yelled, and watched as the interns desperately dove into a small open area.
Without another word Emerald, maneuvered her bike so she would slide sideways into the two machines, crashing into them and bowling them over with a resounding clang. It took her but a moment to recover from now being on the ground, she had done this sort of stunt before so she was sort of used to this, and dismounted her bike. With a low grow She took one of the machines, and with her massive strength threw it and its buddy out the window.
Emerald let out a low sigh, removing her helmet and brushing her hair out of her face. This was going to be a long mission if a bunch of appliances and stuff were coming after these people. She was about to pick up her bike when she was suddenly hugged by the three interns, which caused her to freeze up immediately.
"OH THANKS YOU SO MUCH!"A young woman with an ugly plaid outfit cried, hugging Emerald tightly.
"We would have been dead if it wasn't for you!" Said a young jittery man with slicked back hair and a good fashion sense.
["And I would have never gotten out of the mailroom!" said the obviously exhausted older male who was just trying to make it in the business world.
After a few seconds, they gave her some breathing room, which cause the wolf girl to smile a little. Maybe it wasn't so bad getting recognition from her deeds every once and a while. Emerald would prop up her bike and gesture to where she figured they exist was.
"Come on, lemme take you to the front, there are probably more people evacuating out that way," Emerald ordered, watching as the group of three, tagged behind her as she just walked her bike the rest of the way, not wanting to out run these young people.
It wasn't much of a coincidence that Emerald ended up running into the Evac group, considering she was going the exact same direction that they were coming from and she immediately felt relieved that the X-men on this particular floor were ones she actually got along with. Except for the pink haired guy, she had no clue that he was, then again, she hadn't been around in a while so there was really no surprise there.
Emerald was a few clicks away from the group of X's when an armchair decided to say Hello, lunging at the plaid clad woman who Emerald learned was named Maggie, judging by her insistent chattering to the other two interns in the back. The wolf dropped her bike and with a quick motion leapt in front of Maggie and punted the offending chair, straight out the window with unhindered strength, luckily it wasn't one of the heavier chairs that would have hurt a little. Maggie once again hugged Emerald which caused the werewolf to push her away in exasperation before she headed to the group of X's.
"Hey Guys, found any more people that need evacuating?" Emerald asked, gesturing to her group behind her.
He was a big man; he could make his own hole. He crashed through the glass off to the side of Cafas' big entrance just moments after the glass mended itself, and landed atop a table, which promptly bucked him off like a bronco, causing him to do a barrel roll, and land at its side... A kinetic force draining hand reached out to grab the table and hold it steady so it couldn't struggle, while the other smacked it until it was good and disassembled.
"Well, for moving furniture, at least they are stupid. Anyone else gettin' a Beauty and the Beast vibe here?..."
"This'd be a wee bit more inviting if everything was singing, at least," "No kidding... After all that 'be our guest' business, they ain't exactly making me feel very welcome."
So, it was a little freaky that the windows were fixing themselves, that the furniture was moving around them with murderous intent, and that no one else seemed even the least bit surprised at this. Saphirus had been around the block a few times, but only in a Disney movie had he ever seen animate office chairs attack people.
Still, there was no use freaking out about it now; A reception desk was trying to cut a few people off from escaping. With a leap aided by some stored kinetic energy, he landed at it's side, and grabbed it. Similar to how it worked with the table, any force the desk put out toward him while trying to struggle out of his grasp was absorbed, making almost impossible for the stiff object to wiggle from his grasp. The people didn't take the time to thank him; they were out of the entrance as soon as Cafas propped it open.
"Good job, Caf." He nodded to the propped open door, and turned as he heard a light bulb explode. A hand went up to block any broken glass from getting into his head."I'm willing to bet the power for the whole building is routed through the basement... Prolly not a whole lot of people down there to help out, though... I might be able to get to it, if you want." He looked to Mirror expectantly just as the green girl threw a comment at Cafas, and Emerald entered the room with a fan club attached to her; he resisted laughing when one of them made it awkward bu hugging her, because while he'd seen her around the mansion a few times, they'd never once talked... He had no idea if she was the type to be offended by a chuckle, and he didn't feel like angering someone he lived with.
He would let their team leader answer her question, as well as tell him if he wanted the power for the whole building cut... If that wasn't the case, he could probably just find the breaker for this floor, and bust it up as well, but it was a less permanent solution.
>>"This'd be a wee bit more inviting if everything was singing, at least,"
Gawain turned just in time to see Becca fight off some tables. The girl did have some useful powers he had to give her that. Was that, what, metal manipulation? Magnetism?... Anyhow, she was right, she did have a place on the evac team.
"Incom..." he strated as an armchair leapt up, but soon realized it was not moving his way. Rather, it was attacking...
"... Ems?"
Armchair promptly punted out the window, Gawain grinned at the wolf and her little but enthusiastic following.
>>"Hey Guys, found any more people that need evacuating?"
"Yeah there should be more" Gawain nodded "I'm guessin' we need to go open some more doors upstairs. Koga and Shin are goin' from above, so we'll start down here and work our way up."
>>"I'm willing to bet the power for the whole building is routed through the basement... Prolly not a whole lot of people down there to help out, though... I might be able to get to it, if you want."
Gawain turned to look at Saphiurs and considered the offer for a moment.
"Messing with the electricity... might not be a good idea. If this guy really controls the building, and you go too close to the power source, that might end up painful."
He glanced out the window.
"Let's just give the police some more time to cut it from out there."
Turning back to the evac team, Gawain smirked and nodded to them.
"All right I'll go look around, see who's where. Keep doin' what you're doin'. So far, so good."
With that, he stepped into a mirror that was still intact nearby, and disappeared.
((Stepping out for a week so you can keep RPing in the meantime Have fun!))
Saphirus had seen fit to make his own window-hole. Well then, be his way! Cafas spun as Mirror spoke, which was lucky because he avoided (and proceeded to not notice) a decent sized name plate which had been about to hit his knee. "Roger that." Well, easier said than done, Cafas' free hand grabbed one of the tabled a girl had just dropped, and it disappeared in a cloud of ground level metal-gas. He didn't even bother to look at it, he was surveying the scene in front of him. "Best bet, I'd say, would be to clear this floor." He pointed to a pair of doors coming into the lobby. A motorcycle, pushed by a girl followed by three of the most afraid and admiring people Cafas had ever seen, entered through one. He dropped that hand as the girl put a chair through a window easy as could be. "We need to get through that door, the others took the security room and beyond, anyone in them is out by now."
Exit stage Mirror...
With Mirror absent for the moment it left a power vacuum, he was happy to fill it. He guessed the girl with the motorcycle was an X. He would address her as such. "Motorcycle, get those guys out of the building. I'm Cafas by the way." He mostly needed the three scared guys out of the way so they didn't have to worry about them getting killed. Next, the girl who had apparently just stopped the metal tables. "Here," He grabbed the remaining metal tables. They warped, appeared to melt, and with a great effort of will formed themselves into a shield ", One shield. It's round, it's solid, it's everything you ever wanted in your personal deflection device." He was forced to drop the new shield in favour of more weapon swinging as a desk chair spun it's doomy beserker path right toward him.He missed, took a shot to the... Leg, boy was that close. He made sure not to miss twice.
Speaking of shields...
With a nod and smile to Saph (who he had worked with previously and trusted to know what to do) Cafas dove, rolled, got to his feet, obliterated a hole punch, and yanked his own shield free from the door. It almost seemed like it had been bent by the force of the electric doors trying to close. Their itty bitty motors were no match for steel though. He'd fix the damage when he got home. "Okay, I know Mirror will find us,"Kick a printer across the room, "we gotta get out of this lobby,"Quickly draw a knife and cut the phone cable trying to strangle him , "it knows we're in here and I don't fancy the idea of reinforcements," Reach the door and brush a hand against the metal handle, "So no time like the present to start on the rest of the floor."
Brace, knee, twist, heel.
The door was flung open with a resounding thud as rubber sole met the location formerly known as the latch. Through it was a corridor, branching of were a series of conference rooms, waiting rooms, kitchens and toilets. All your PR sort of things. Clearly where they held press conferences. Behind the glass set into some of the doors Cafas could see at least one hand being smacked against the unmovable barrier, attempting to escape. Small rooms with lots of heavy furniture were what he expected. It did not bode well for the inhabitants. There were some very bad signs inside the very first door he could see. "Possible injuries, potentially deaths. This ain't gonna be pretty folks."
If anyone has a problem with me taking over while Mirror is scouting I'm sure they'll tell me right?
Regardless, Mirror gave him orders, and now he would follow them. The others didn't have to like it, but it was the way the system worked, and Cafas for one would stick by it.
Damn my head hurts...
"Alright, this building has a bad case of needing it's ass kicked, and the doctor is in"

>> "One shield. It's round, it's solid, it's everything you ever wanted in your personal deflection device."
Rebecca's head jerked when she heard the metal shield hit the ground. She had seen the object changing in her magnetic field sight, which was bizarre enough, and now she was looking at a brand-new metal shield. Pleased, she summoned the shield over to her, which to her felt very reminiscent of American Soldier. Never had she felt more like a superhero. They were in lots of danger, but it was hard not to see the epic side of things.
Things were much easier to deflect with a shield, that was for sure. Pencils and drawers soared in her direction, but the shield protected her, knocking everything away. Things improved further when Rebecca watched her mentor make her intimidating entrance. "Nice tae have ye with us, Master!" With their group apparently assembled, she followed in a defensive position as CJ led them into the next hallway.
>> "Possible injuries, potentially deaths. This ain't gonna be pretty folks."
Rebecca nervously gulped; this could be her first wake up call to the darker side of being a hero. She steeled her nerves; this would be another step she had to take to prove she could handle this path.
The door was locked with a metal knob which she could have, with enough force, ripped out of the door, but that much force could lead to the knob flying into a teammate or a civilian. Instead, she chose something she could control more easily. "Well, nae sense wasting time. Keep clear!" Rebecca held her shield in front of her, allowing it to levitate before her. The shield began spinning, picking up velocity before being thrown forward. The shield came into contact with the knob, which promptly broke away at the weight and force of her attack.
The shield returned to Rebecca and the door flapped open without a locking mechanism to keep it in place. She was surprised to see no dents or scratches in the shield. "Ah'm impressed with yer craftsmanship, CJ."
Rebecca would be happier when they came across a completely metal door devoid of wood, but for now, she pushed open the door to the room so the team could start evacuating.
Emerald already was planning on evacuating the group that was with her, she just wanted to know the other plans from the other X's just in case if anything had changed. Mirror debriefed them and left. Of course,Mirror had decided to go off elsewhere after giving a good mission objective, which of course left an opening for a "leader" which a young pink haired guy decided to take.
Emerald gave a smile to Rebecca at first, never understanding why the girl choose to call her master, but she figured it was better than Mistress, boy would't that have given Agnes all the more reason to be mad at the two of them.
"Glad to see you're here my faithful student, keep your eyes opened at all times and don't just rely on your eyes, this sort of thing requires your mind to be clear, we aren't in training anymore," Emerald explained, as she punched a water cooler into a wall.
The Pink haired guy who decided to fill the role as Leader was named Cafas and gave Emerald an order that she had already planned to do in the first place. Emerald gave a quick glance over to the other X, Saphirus, who she had seen around the mansion, but had never really talked to. Emerald glanced at Cafas again, she wanted to give him a "You don't say." look but decided against it, these people's lives were far more important than her snark.
"Was planning on doing that anyways, Pinky," Emerald responded with a low growl escaping her lips, hearing her little fan club squeal with absolute joy in the back ground. She wondered if they knew that she had really sensitive hearing and that sort of noise felt like thousands of mice claws scrapping across a chalkboard. Good thing Ruby wasn't on this team or the poor girl's ears would be ringing for a week.
The werewolf lead the small group out, decimating the few intact pieces of furniture that were in her way. After all, the majority of the ones near the front were sort of destroyed when the X's first piled in here so she didn't have all that much clean up to do. A lot of windows were broken in the process though. It was at the front door, Where Emerald had to make a tough decision,
"Hey Slick Back," Emerald called out to the small, fashionably dressed young man. He walked over to her confused, and watched as she gestured to her motorcycle. "You are going to take this motorcycle outside with you and if you take it, or let it out of your sight, I will throw you like I threw those copy machines chasing you. Got me? This thing has several ways I can track it, just like I can track you and believe me I always get my man if I'm tracking someone, so wait outside the building with the other refuges, and keep this thing safe."
With a speech like that, All the young man could do was salute, as if he was saluting the greatest army general in the world, one who had just given him a dangerous mission. He accepted it with honor, integrity's and style, something Emerald could get behind. The wolf girl gave a signal for the group to stand back and she promptly grabbed one of the remaining, struggling arm chairs, which had it's leg broken, and busted through the door, moving quickly to the side as she watched the 3 bolt out before the door closed. Emerald took one glance outside the window and saw the girl chattering eagerly to the boys and the young man with the slicked back hair clinging to her cycle as if someone was going to take it at any moment.
Emerald rejoined the group in the hallway, watching as Pinky lead the way. She stuck close to Rebecca, knowing that now was her chance to make sure nothing happened to the younger girl, because if it did, she doubted Agnes would ever forgive her. That and she had grown attached to Rebecca, she didn't mind having a student learning under her.
The wolf girl sorta nodded along with CJ's speech, this not being anything new to her whatsoever. As soon as all the fanangling with the door was done, Emerald decided to be the first one in the room, figuring since she was probably one of the people that could take the most hits,
Inside the room, there was a group of people in high class business suits, on top of a boardroom table, holding onto each other while a group of large rolling chairs menaced them from the bottom. Emerald could only smirk at the idea that popped into her head, acting on it immediately.
She charged full on, into one of the chairs, then it rolled into another and another and soon an entire group of these "scary chairs" were in a terrible rolling cluster. Emerald took this chance to pick on up and start wailing on the other chairs with it, with full strength. The other appliances in the room sprung alive as well, but Emerald was more focused on the giant things that could hurt people a little more.
"It Would be a good idea to have someone beat up more appliances and have the rest get the suits off the table and out of here," Emerald suggested/ordered helpfully.
Mirror decided it he was better off not venturing out alone to cut the electricity, and Saphirus quickly decided that was a good call; the cops might take a little longer, but cutting off the whole grid would be less messy, and he was less likely to be fried by the building itself.
Their team leader decided to go off and scout for more hostages; his ability put him in a good place for quickly looking through all of the rooms in the building, and spotting those who needed help; it also left a vacuum of power, which Cafas quickly stepped into. Saph didn't much mind; He was familiar with the young man, and thus knew where he would want him.
Things were getting serious, now; Cafas moved to withdraw his shield from the door, and Saph stepped in to keep some of the pressure off of him; He kicked a flying name plate, the same that had missed the alchemist and was looking for a second shot, into a motivational portrait that was trying to get past. A potted plant lashed out at him, and he smacked it across the room with his crowbar, where it fell in ruin. As their self professed leader moved forth toward the door he was planning to breach, covering one side, and preventing any attacks from that side.
It seemed where metal was concerned, they had two experts that could handle it; he decided it best to target anything that wasn't metallic. He was sure Emerald was probably thinking along the same lines. More interesting was the fact that the girl with the funny accent seemed to have the ability to levitate metal... That gave him an idea...
"Ey, kid... What's the range on your power?" He would have to wait for an answer, though, as when she slammed the shield into the door, and Emerald charged in, he would want to be right next to her; he was sure she could handle herself, but he hadn't met a being on this planet that could take a hit like him... A fleet of chairs attacked Emerald; from the looks of it she would have them in ribbons in no time; he spotted the executives taking refuge on a table. He rushed forward to help them, obliterating an intercom with a single swing. The crowbar wielding superhero came to a stop in front of the table, which suddenly pitched up on the side sending a hail of business men and women at him.
"Yer kidding me."
He caught a secretary, set her down respectfully, and turned to check on the other bourgeoisie. They were fine, but a hit from his sixth sense told him they might not be soon.
Why? Because the massive oak conference table had decided to lift itself on two legs, and try to slam down on all of them. Unfortunately for the table, it was trying to pancake the wrong guy; a hand lifted above the cowering crowd and stopped the falling table in its tracks, his right arm absorbing all of the kinetic force from the otherwise lethal blow. A wild grin came to his face as he felt the tingle of gathered energy from the attack...
A sturdy kick sent the table reeling on its two legs, setting it up for his next attack; his crowbar wielding hand pulled back, and launched forward. As the tool left his fingertips he threw in a heap of kinetic force, causing it to rocket into the table at incredible speed. The crowbar ripped through the table, which collapsed, and stuck deep into the wall behind it. "Hey new girl. Can you grab that back for me?" He didn't refer to what he wanted returned, trusting that she would know what he was talking about. While he waited for her to give him a hand, he got to fending off some of the smaller objects, and covering the retreat of the business men and women.
They were lucky none of them were too badly hurt, but this was just the first room; the others would have more time to attack their occupants, meaning these there guys were just that; the lucky ones.
The team broke into the room no issue. Things started getting broken, most of it wasn't on his team. A few executives needed evacuating. Cafas didn't see anyone else doing it. He grabbed one of them by the suit and hauled him to his feet (no mean feat) and sent him and the rest of the people in the room out the door. "Run, the lobby is clear for now, one of the doors is open, I think I might have busted the motors. anyway, get out."
And consider some cardio...
Cafas re-entered the first room, it looked clear, well, aside from some furniture. Cafas casually hammered a chair. "C'mon keep moving!" Straight back out the door. The next door was a few feet down the corridor. Cafas melted the latch out of it and gave it a good shove. No dice. Something was blocking it. "Cover your eyes!" He closed his own tight and slammed the hammer into the frosted window of the room. The sheet of glass fell in a rain of tiny fragments.
Oooh crap...
The room was filled with furniture. No people, just a whole bunch of angry furniture pressed against the door in a big heap. It turned towards him (as much as anything without a head or face can turn to face someone) and charged for the opening. In the split second he had before the leader of the charge (a rather heavy and solid looking filing cabinet) made it to him Cafas turned, took a couple of running step, and swung his hammer two handed directly into Saph's right shoulder before continuing past "Full force if you don't mind." He'd seen the guy wreck half a building, he was sure he could handle using a filing cabinet as a cannon ball.
Suck it office furniture!
In the meantime Cafas set about opening the next room. The door was right across from the now, erm... open window. This one opened easily. Inside, a whole bunch of wrecked furniture, a strapping security fellow locked in a life and death struggle with a heavy wooden table, and a few scared looking people behind him being harassed by various other equipment. Quite a number seemed hurt. "Alright we have injuries!" Cafas stepped into the room, obliterated a chair, the force of the swing carrying into the wall, embedding the hammer momentarily into the dry-board. "Good job mate, reckon you can get these folks out of the building?
"If they can walk."
"Fair enough." Cafas brought some hammery wrath to the table, a piece broke off with a tremendous crack and the table fell on its back, legs flailing in the air like a tortoise.
There was a lot of noise all through the building; X-men were demolishing furniture and appliances left and right. As they were going down the corridor opening doors and evacuating the ground floor, those with better hearing (and not too occupied playing wrecking crew) could pick up the unmistakable sound of shattering glass. It came in a series of bursts, coming closer and closer until one glass door down the line exploded in a rain of shards.
Gawain fell face first and rolled on the ground, shielding his face from the glass with one arm. The other arm, and most of his left side, was soaked in red, as was half of his face; he was wiping blood from his left eye as he scrambled to his feet.
"Well. There is no way out through the mirrors." he muttered, looking at the others "F*** building explodes everythin' I walk into. There's rooms above on every floor with people trapped inside. Guess we're gonna have to do this the hard way, and hope Streak's team shuts this psycho down..."

Sure enough, opening any door meant a pummeling from furniture and supplies, but the team was giving the trapped people a window of time to escape. The one teammate she had not yet interacted with asked about her magnetic range, and coupled it with a request for assistance. She focused on the crowbar and tossed it back into his hand. "So far? A little more than fourty-five meters-- er, Ah mean fifty yards." No one ever had any idea of what Rebecca was talking about in metric.
A telephone on a desk was rattling, getting ready to soar at the stragglers trying to escape the room. Rebecca's body moved with a jerk, being pulled along the magnetic field by her armor since it was quicker than trying to run over. The phone shot through the air aimed for the back of a businessman's head, but Rebecca's shield caught it just in time and the phone shattered.
An explosion of glass caught Rebecca's attention, accompanied by Mirror rolling on the ground, dyed in red. "Oy! Daft lad, gettin' yerself all bloodied up!" Rebecca had first aid supplies in a kit on the plane, which she now decided had Mirror's name on it. "If th' tables dornt kill ye, Ami might."
Unfortunately, Rebecca could not afford to keep her attention on the blood-stained Mirror when the whole building was still in revolt. A pointed fountain pen flew at her from behind, and while she did her best to turn out of the way, it did sink into her bicep. Grimacing, she considered getting more armor for her next outing, but until then, she pulled out the pen and resumed smashing chairs with her shield.
After all of their chairs in the board room were thoroughly destroyed at the hands of, Emerald, laying in broken, disheveled pieces on the floor. Hopefully, the X-men wouldn't have to pay for all of this, even if they did, Emerald could always get them to put it on her tab. With the money she has been making lately from the underground fighting ring run by the big five, she had more than enough to make up for the destruction she was causing here.
The room was evacuated, which gave the werewolf a chance to take in her surroundings and watch as the group did a good job warding off the remaining random objects. Getting up from her pile of destroyed chair, the wolf girl took a chance to spit out some of the leather that had been caught in between her teeth when she tore a hole in the leader of the chair...battalion.
Emerald followed after the team "Leader" to the other rooms, watching as he opened other doors, evacuated other people, that whole deal. This was of course when one glass door practically exploded and out fell Gawain in a bloody mess. Emerald couldn't hold back the growl at what had just happened to her friend/pack mate. This was when a sofa dove toward her, immediately getting met with Emerald's hand's grabbing it and using its momentum against her throwing it against the wall, causing the accursed love seat to break so it could no longer "run."
By the time Emerald turned back around, Rebecca was already by her injured team mate’s side, with a fountain pen sticking out of her bicep.
Alright, I'm getting sick of the people I care about on this little rescue mission getting hurt. The Alpha thought angrily, walking over to the bloodied Mirror.
"I don't care if you can walk," Emerald replied curtly before she picked up the taller boy bridal style and made her way to the next room, ignoring any protests he might give.
One would think that Emerald wouldn't be able to fight as well without her arms being active. Whoever thought of such a thing clearly did not know the werewolf very well, for she deflected many of appliances and the like with her powerful kicks, dodging things, normal fighting things. Tables, coffee pots and even sofas fell to her wrath. She put her younger team mate down before she got to the next room and gave him a sheepish grin. Emerald Kicked down the door once she heard the distinctive cries for help that she had been hearing this whole time.
This was when she got two file cabinets sky rotting toward her and then colliding with her torso, knocking her back several feet and into a wall. Emerald let out a grunt of pain, feeling the metal drawers attempting to press her against the wall. This didn’t last long, Now that her arms were free, Emerald took this chance to Grab both Fill cabinets by the sides and flung them a good distance down the hallway, papers flying everywhere in a flurry . The papers took this chance to launch toward the wolf girl and were met with a very unpleasant shower.
Emerald had managed to wrangle the emergency hose from the wall that was behind her and had tamed it just enough to spray the incoming paper, blasting them away with the sheer amount of pressure. Once that was done, The werewolf took the chance to knot the hose up considerably, fighting the hose like one would a snake, preventing it from moving farther than a few inches from the wall.
The Alpha grumbled at the bruises she knew would form on her chest and walked over to the two cowering people, young workers but not young enough to be interns and escorted them out of the room. There was only the filing cabinet in that room and it looked like the other one had launched out a long time ago.
“This mission is more obnoxious than it need to be,” Emerald growled, to Mirror once she exited the room.

A grin appeared on his face as his crowbar landed in his hand. "I like you already, Kid. Think you could do that every time I throw this thing?"
Once again, he didn't wait for an answer right away. Cafas was already getting himself into trouble, and it was clear that a little help might be appreciated; he was already on his way, smacking himself with his own crowbar as Cafas retreated. Their self elected leader knew just what to do as he charged past, smacking his hammer into the Masochist. His grin widened as he confronted the wall of moving office furniture, it's bold file holding leader at the tip of the arrow, and unleashed every bit of energy he'd gathered into it.
CRRRASSHHH~~~~
The blow ripped the sturdy file cabinet to shreds, and sent its shrapnel into the furniture behind it, ripping them apart as well.
He watched with a bemused smile, taking a second to hand the hook of his crowbar on his forearm, and pat his hands together while chuckling.
The sound of a trail of broken glass removed the merry mood from him entirely... His first thought was correct; smashing glass meant bad things for Gawain. He was the furthest away from the team leader when he came out, but he could see he was pretty cut up. He resisted the urge to laugh when Emerald picked the man up and carried him out; so that's the kinda woman she was, huh? He didn't mind someone who was willing to look a little silly in order to help a team mate, and she did it in a bad a** enough fashion that at the worst it only belittled Gawain a tiny bit.
He decided it was best if he covered her back the best he could while she carried him out of the room.
He met his fair share of obstacles with his crowbar, but a few bumps and bruises for his troubles, but nothing serious.
"We gotta get some sorta routine set up, here. Gotta get organized if we want to do this without getting tore up. You alright Gawain? Look like I feel after a good night of drinking." Or fighting crime. He spotted a paperweight flying his way, and knocked it into the wall. "What's the plan?" His crowbar was already smacking into his calf repeatedly as he awaited instructions. All the while the Wolf had decided to go off alone and clear a room; Cafas, another.
He could do the same, but he figured they should at least go in pairs, in case something got the drop on one of them; this place seemed to be full of surprises.
