CharacterPersonality: Whenever Jacobis tending to plants, he is always very careful in how he moves, making sure he doesn’t accidentally hurt his plants. Over years of doing this, he has obtained hands that are firm but still gentle, which reflects his personality. In his spare time, Jacob likes to play ‘Magic: The Gathering’ or even some texted based roleplaying games, making him a good strategist and a well developed writer. Physically, he is a good runner, being able to maintain a quick sprint for a few seconds longer then a normal person. It’s almost impossible for Jacob to start a conversation with a stranger, and it’s hard for him to maintain a decent conversation when one is started. He never really fit in to the people in his school and found only a few people to actually talk to. Jacob is also patient with people, but this patience can be used as his weak point because he will trust someone for the longest time without it breaking. This is Jacob’s overall personality.

MutationsMutation description:<>Diamond Transformation<>Jacob is able to make his 120 pound body turn entirely into a solid Diamond. He is able to make sharp edges with his body when he transforms on whichever part of his body that he chooses. When he transforms into the Diamond state, it can begin at any part of his body, but it will take him approximately five seconds for his body to fully transform. To revert back to his normal body, it would take three seconds for him to transform.
Strengths: This diamond can be either transparent or opaque, according to his choice. This transformation makes him practically indestructible in this state since a diamond is the hardest natural substance in the world. In this state though, not even a thousand pounds of pressure pin- pointed in one area would make a crack on him. The melting point of a diamond is 3550 degrees Celsius (6422 degrees Fahrenheit) making him able to withstand up to those temperatures in the diamond transformation. Through all of these instances, Jacob won’t be able to feel a thing.
Weaknesses: A major flaw to this deformity is that in the state of his transformation, he is not able to move at all. In this state, it is as if he is in a comatose but is fully aware of his surroundings and is able to think. It’s almost like being trapped in a box without being able to go hungry or thirsty. Another thing is that in this transformation, he must transform his entire body, not just one part. This could be seen as inconvenient in many situations. At his current power over this mutation, he can only stay in that state for 48 hours before his body will give in and force itself to revert back to its normal form. In this state, Jacob can feel nothing but the fatigue comes on when he transforms into a teenager again. From this, he would need a one minute hiatus from his powers for ever three minutes he’s stayed in it. Lastly, When Jacob undergoes his transformation; he will have to change into one form completely before reverting back to the other.

Weaknesses:Fighting Style Explanation: The way Jacob fights is rather heavy on the defensive. He prefers not to fight but to defend rather than attacking. The way he does this is mainly by keeping his arms close to his body while blocking and dodging attacks.
Pros for fighting style: It is good against styles that are offensive and it is able to tire the other person down before being able to attack.
Cons for fighting style: It is not offensive at all and can cause Jacob to be pushed back into unfavorable circumstances.

History Of Your Character:Jacob’s parents are of two different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. His mother, Helena, is a woman born in the Philippines and then later on immigrated to Ottawa, Ontario. His father, Angelo, shares a similar past of moving from Italy to Ottawa for a new beginning. Jacob’s parents met each other when Helen was in hard times and Angelo, being a random stranger, helped her. After accepting Angelo’s’ help, Helen found attraction for him and he the same for her. After a few years of being in a deep relationship, they got married and bought a house to start a new family. While Jacob was still in his mother’s womb, Helena discussed about her dream of opening a gardening shop. Angelo supported her fully, starting to save up funds for Helena’s dream and his soon-to-be-born baby. Since Jacob’s birth was expected soon, Helena’s dream had to wait. During Jacobs’s birth, it caused a complication within Helena’s body; making her unable to bear another child. Helena and Angelo’s new born will be their only born now. Even though Helena was greatly depressed that she will not be able to have another baby, she is glad that she has this baby. Angelo came up with the name Jacob after Jacob in the bible who was born under Isaac as a sign of faith.
He was taken care of well by his parents, making him grow up to be a mature young boy. During the fall when Jacob turned 4, his parents had enough funds to support the garden shop that Helena still dreams about. From then, Angelo and Helena made their own community gardening shop. Being a rather lonely child, he started talking to the flowers in his mother’s garden. Most of the conversations he made with the plants was to make them feel happier because he felt that the flowers could listen to him more than the other kids could. His parents eventually made him stop talking to plants and introduced him to the neighborhood children when he turned six, but he still wasn’t able to make any decent friends with them. By then, his parents garden shop business became more successful.
When Jacob was seven years old, his parents asked him to help with the shop by helping water the plants for sale and inside the greenhouse. This may be where his deep love of plants comes from, because even though it is considered a chore, Jacob did it very happily.
As Jacob entered puberty, several problems started to awaken. He developed crushes on older guys at his school- His Catholic School. Homosexuality is discouraged at the school even though they live in a country that accepts openly gay people. Even though he has feelings for the older guys, he knew it was against what everyone else thought was right, so he stayed closeted; for the school, and for his parents. He knew that his parents do not accept homosexuality too, so he had decided to stay closeted. The next Sunday after he developed his feelings, the priest of his church gave a sermon telling how bad homosexuals are and how they will never go to heaven. Coincidentally, the next part of his sermon was about people who are ‘mutants’. In his message, he told everyone that ‘mutants where sent by the devil to replace god’s creation[mankind]’ and everyone in that service agreed, even his parents. Jacob had mixed emotions about it because to be honest, what he heard about mutants actually sounded pretty cool.
When Jacob turned fourteen, his mutation had finally awakened. One day when Jacob was trying a cooking recipe, he managed to slip and fall on the floor falling face-first. This managed to scare Jacob due to the unexpectedness of the event and it caused the transformation to trigger. Suddenly, Jacob was on the ground, without a scratch, but slowly being unable to move at all. When Jacob snapped out of the phase, he stood up to find that he had broken a small part of the floor with what apparently was his nose. Confused, he had cancelled his cooking and went to the washroom to inspect himself for any injury. It’s apparent that he didn’t accumulate any injuries at all from the fall, causing him to be confused further. In his state of confusion, he didn’t realize that a cockroach had been crawling over his hand and it made him freak and flail a bit. Just after the first twitch, he saw that his hand turned into something that looked like glass. Before Jacob could scream, his face and body was soon consumed by the state of ‘penalization’.This now made him scared, but then after his freak-out, he calmed himself down and made the transformation back to his normal body.
Jacob did experiment with it, and realized that his body would use it as a reflex whenever he was in trouble, but soon, he was able to use it without being in trouble. Although the discovery was exciting, the teenager also knew it was also looked down upon by the church. It’s bad enough that he’s a homosexual involved with religion, but now he is also a mutant. From that, he has secluded himself even further from everyone else.
His powers where exposed one Sunday, when he attended one of the priests’ messages about how mutants are bad. This actually made Jacob scared and he could feel that this transformation would take place. Although he tried to stop it, resistance was futile and he turned into a diamond right in the crowed. The priest suddenly stopped during his message because he realized that there was a mutant among them. Right there, in front of the crowd, he was accused of being a devil and a demon sent to destroy everyone. With this torrent of emotion, Jacob couldn’t help that his body was switching back and forth between a diamond and a human, crying over the accusation from the crowed. He couldn’t take it and ran out of the chapel where his mom and dad followed him.
The parents escorted the mutant to their car and they drove home early from the service. The ride home was silent and obvious disapproval and disappointment came from Helen and Angelo. Their only child is born a sinner, is what they only thought. They didn’t want him anymore. From their religious beliefs, it showed that a faithful person is able to let anyone go as long as it meant serving god. According to their beliefs ‘a diseased branch will be cut off from the body.’ Jacob is now considered that sick part of the body that needs to be cut off. When they returned home that evening, Jacob went straight to bed listening to his parents weeping and talking about a possibility to disown him in the background. The next morning, they didn’t do so much as to speak to each other because the family didn’t know how to approach this problem- or at least that’s how Helen and Angelo saw it.

Sample RP:A fifteen-year-old boy named Jacob Black was walking through a clear dirt path in the middle of a forest. 'It's nice to be surrounded by pure nature; the vegetation growing, the birds singing and how peaceful it all looks.' The young man was thinking to himself. To him, just looking at this beautiful scene was worth the hour walk it took to travel from his house to this practically undisturbed wildlife. The trail he was on rarely has people walking along it, making another reason why he likes this place; for the solitude.
The song of the cicadas and birds give just seems to compliment the scenery and the flowers that show off their vibrant colors. To Jacob, it was like walking through an art gallery with music playing in the background. Such an amazing sight made him regret not being able to bringing a camera to capture these forms of beauty in nature. Milkweed flowers are one of Jacob's favorites, and it just so happens that there was a patch of them further along the path he was on. The reason why he likes them is because they tend to attract butterflies. When he came close to the patch of red flowers, he couldn't help but give a meek smile. When he looked up into the sky, he thought that finishing up this trail would be a good idea since it would be wise for the teenager to return home before sundown.
As Jacob walked in a faster pace, coming back the way he came, he looked around still admiring nature, but a guy who looked rather charming had seemed to come out of nowhere and walked by him, distracting Jacob’s thoughts for a moment. 'He looks really nice... Ack, what am I thinking? Developing crushes that easily has never done me any good.’ Over that thought, he tried to banish the thought of getting to know the complete stranger. ‘Though, to be honest, he did look quite handsome.’ The adolescent boy thought to himself.
Suddenly, the loss of balance overtakes the distracted teenager as he accidentally sliped over a large rock. Since the top part was smooth but slanted, he slips a little bit, causing him to lose his balance even more. Trying to regain his balance, he tilted the opposite direction of the fall, but he tried too hard and ended up falling forward. When he eventually falls, a loud ripping sound fills the air. Due to his mutation, he was unhurt by the rock, but the bottom of his pants where slightly damaged. When he fell, he felt his legs freeze themselves before the sensation took over his body. Frozen on the ground, Jacob took a few seconds to recover himself before reverting back to his normal state and inspecting the damage. It’s apparent that only the bottom of his jeans became ripped, but he was perfectly fine.
With that episode aside, he continued his walk home as if nothing had happened.
