The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Nice to meet you too Mandain." Ali smiled genuinely at the man. "Well, we're glad we can help you as well. If you don't have a place to stay then we can arrange something for you at the center, and don't worry it'll be a bed and not some cot." She giggled softly. "Are you sure you don't want somethign to eat? It might help you feel a little better."

Mandain kinda didn't wanna go to a center or anything like that, he had the money for an apartment but that center of them started to sound pretty good in his ears. especially the word Bed mend a lot to him. Some nice rest, that was all he wanted.
He smiled at Ali, "Well it would be nice if you had 1 more bed for me, but maybe it's to much of a trouble, and about the food, I'm pretty sure i don't need it, but thanks for the over."
Mandain looked down to the table for just a second, and but his head back up, with a smile, not a normal smile, a real flirt smile.
Mandain moved his position on the seat so he could see Rupert better.
"Rupert, tell me, are you afraid of me?, cause after today, your in my good people list, nothing to worry.
Mandain said it as honest as he could, his bad start with Rupert wasn't what he wanted, the lats thing he could use now is a cop who didn't like him, really didn't like him.

"Rupert, tell me, are you afraid of me?, cause after today, your in my good people list, nothing to worry."
Rupert turned in his chair towards the guy, slinging one arm over the chair back as he raised an eyebrow. His expression wasn't unfriendly, but it wasn't inviting the man to be his best friend, either. "'Afraid'?" He repeated. "I don't think 'afraid' is the word for it. Listen, I know you haven't been in New York long, so here's a quick history lesson: the precincts around here have lost nearly thirty good officers in the last few months because of mutants. I can understand that you're edgy after the explosions, but you've got to understand that we're a pretty edgy bunch ourselves, just now. Instead of putting me on your good people list, how about you promise me you'll stick on a pair of sunglasses and keep the urges to threaten waitresses to yourself?"
It wasn't the most sociable thing he could have said. It wasn't the most unsociable, either.

Without thinking Raina reached across the table and put her hand on Ruperts. She quickly drew it back as if his hand was hot, her cheeks a crimson red- she didn't mean to do it, but she'd heard about the police massacre. "I'm sorry for your loss. I read about it" she turned to Mandain. "You really should take a look at that brochure of ours. " she was being rather insistant. "I think you'd be really good with some of our teens. They need adults like us so set a good example." She knew as soon as he looked at the brochure she'd stuffed into hishands earlier that he'd realise it was a school for mutants they were offering.
It was then that the waitress arrived. Shakily putting coffee infront of everyone. She passed out a few menus. "Take your time.." she insisted.
"I guess I still owe you one." Joked Raina to Ali. She turned To Rupert. "Tell me about yourself? How long have you been an officer?" This time she wasnt trying to destract anyone, she really wanted to know more about Rupert.

Rupert turned in surprise as a warm hand settled on top of his own. He followed the hand back up its arm to a deeply blushing Raina. "Thank you," he said simply, and with the pure sincerity of surprise. "I appreciate that, Raina," he responded to her sympathy.
"Tell me about yourself? How long have you been an officer?" The woman who shared his fashion sense asked. Rupert looked at her, remembering that blush of a moment before fondly.
He laughed. "Oh, wow. I guess... just about seven years, now. I joined as soon as I could--took the application test to be a beat officer the day after my twenty-first birthday. I've only been a Detective for the past six months or so, though." He'd gotten his promotion shortly after he'd gotten out of the hospital after Sanctuary. A cynical part of him had always wondered if that had been partly because he was no longer physically fit enough to cut it as a beat officer. Raina didn't need to know that trivia fact, though.

ooc: Haha cal you rock, I'll be a little more subtle cuz you pick up on things well and write so awesomley! (is that a word? if not, I just patented it!)
ic: Raina listened and nodded trying to imagine a teen Rupert. She was also trying to do the math in her head, how old he was! She herself would be 22 in a few months... she suddenly felt very young and naive which was a change from how she felt at the mansion. It wasn't a bad thing. "I remember reading about the massacer when I first came to New York. I can't believe it's been that long already. It seems like just yesterday I left the great white north." She laughed to herself thinking of home, but there was a little twinge of sadness when she realised she could never go back there.

Ali smiled back at Mandain. "We have plenty of spare beds and rooms. You'll be very welcome there, and as Raina mentioned we could use your help with the youngsters. Alot of them need guidance."
The Detective and Raina seemed to get into a conversation on their own and so Ali left her focus mostly on Mandain although she would glance at the other pair occassionally.
"I can understand that you're edgy after the explosions, but you've got to understand that we're a pretty edgy bunch ourselves, just now. Instead of putting me on your good people list, how about you promise me you'll stick on a pair of sunglasses and keep the urges to threaten waitresses to yourself?"
The answer of Rupert was not the one he hoped to get but Mandain tried to make the best out of it.
" I suppose i could get some sunglasses, but why would I hide my curse? If people want to live in fear of mutants, thats their choice to make, of course their are mutants who use their powers for something we cant understand, but when there is a bad side of a race, they always forget the good things. And about the big murder? I dint knew, I'm sorry that happened, but u can't change it back" said as calm as ever.
Mandain wend in his own thoughts leaving the conversation. Thoughts of the past, his parents his family. Wondering back to days was nice, but he couldn't stick in the past.
"You really should take a look at that brochure of ours. " she was being rather insistent. "I think you'd be really good with some of our teens. They need adults like us so set a good example." said Raina to Mandain
Mandain was surprised to see some brochures in his hand and took a look. This wasn't the center he expected. Mutant guidance. He read over the brochure quick just picked out some words. Xavier, Sister school, Tricity, Guidance, and some other words. Mandain looked at Raine with a look that said: " Uhm, not what i expected"
Mandain looked at Ali, she was giving him a smile and words followed
"We have plenty of spare beds and rooms. You'll be very welcome there, and as Raina mentioned we could use your help with the youngsters. Allot of them need guidance."
"Well, I'm gonna go with you lady's to the center to check it out some days, after that we will see what happens."
Mandain said it to wards Ali since Raine was in a conversation with Rupert about how long he was a detective etcetera.
Mandain gave a look again to Ali, "Ali, that is a shortcut for your name isn't it? whats the full length of it?" Mandain looked over to the waitress that was still not recovered of the accident and then looked back to Ali with full attention.

She returned the smile again as the guy asked her full name. "Yeah Ali is short for Alithana. Is Mandain your full name or is it short for something else? Where are you from originally?" Ali leaned back in her chair to get more comfortable as she waited for the guy to reply back to her.
"Yeah Ali is short for Alithana. Is Mandain your full name or is it short for something else? Where are you from originally?"
"Alithana, wow beautiful name," Mandain said it with full admire. "Yeah, Mandain is my full name, I don't think it has a meaning but it's not a name you hear often, I'm from the Netherlands" Mandain sat his chair to wards Ali and looked at her.
" I'm sorry but would you excuse me for a second, I got to go to the mens room "
Mandain stood up and walked to wards the restroom and when he was almost at the door, he turned his head and took a look at Ali's hair.

"Well thank you. I like it alot too but I find that people have an easier time just calling me Ali so that's what I go by mostly."
Mandain stood up as he excused himself to the restroom and Ali smiled and nodded. He was definately being polite. She watched him leave for the restrooms and she thought she heard him say something about beautiful red. She wasn't sure and so it would have to wait until the man returned.

Raina turned her attention back to Ali. "It sounds like he's willing to come. That's good." she stated. "I think Tricity- er our manager, has been expecting him." she was relieved that Mandain finally looked at the brochure and was in on everything they were trying to pull right over Rupert's head. She was starting to really like Rupert, and she felt rather guilty... but she knew the school would be put at huge risk if a cop with a mutant hate on came snooping around. It wasn't like they didn't already have enough trouble with the authorities.
Raina looked up just in time to see the fleeting look Mandain gave Ali as he went to the bathroom. She followed his gaze and had to giggle. "You natural red heads get all the luck!" she whispered pointing to Mandain in hopes Ali would catch the glance.

(OOC: We can still talk but we should try to keep it as a side conversation)
IC: Ali turned back to Raina and blushed. Her hearing wasn't as bad as she thought. "Well, what can I say?" she said and giggled. "Are you saying you're a fake redhead? I do agree with you about our manager though."
((OOC: if this post is to heavy let me know and ill change it))
((Ic:))
Mandain entered the restroom and it was your topical dirty restroom. Mandain walked over to a toiled and did his thing.
"I hope I don't crew this up with Ali, so far it's been good but who knows what happens" Mandain said it while zipping his pants back on.
Mandain walked to the sink to wash of his hands when a strange guy walked in. He walked right up to Mandain and started talking to him.
" Hey Freak, I'm gonna make you wish you weren't born you fake human"
Mandain looked at the guy, mid 50, not the thinest, big Santa Claus beard, and a truckers cap. " If this guy tries to something he will be sorry" Mandain thought it, and didn't react at the guy, but continued washing his hands. Took some paper to dry em and threw it in the bin.
"Hey Freak, I'm talking to you"
Mandain gave the man another look, " I'm not here to make trouble, but if you force me to make a move, so be it"
The man started bashing in to Mandain, but it was easily dodged because the man wasn't fighting with his head, but with rage, and rage isn't precise.
"Come here freak!!!, Stand Still" the man was still trying to hit Mandain but just couldn't hit him.
Mandain walked to wards the door the end this fight when he was grabbed by his shoulders in thrown to a wall.
"Darn, Now you asked for it" Mandain stood up, and dusted of his clothes.
Mandain raised his hand with his palm to wards the man. The man looked with fair but his rage was to much so he charged at Mandain.
" You leave me no choice," while saying this he shot a beam at the charging man, the man was hit and fell on the ground.
"Paralyzation, you had it coming," Mandain looked in to the mirror and dusted of his clothes one more time, he stepped over the body and walked out of restroom closing the door behind him.
Mandain walked back to the table and seated. 'Sorry that it took so long, I was being delayed"
