The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vibe switched her aim to the flamethrower, giving Amp enough time to avoid most of the heat. Steam hissed into the air as the water and fire met.
As she moved, Amp sent two calls into the air, one in ultrasonic, the other in infrasonic. Raven and anyone else listening wouldn't have heard it, but the sounds of dogs barking all around showed that they heard. But the dogs weren't what Amp was after.
As Amp tried to avoid the fire, and Vibe kept trying to put it out, a moving cloud began forming behind Ali. It quickly grew, then engulfed Ali in a swarm of moths, called but also confused by the ultra-high pitch.
The girls took the opportunity to make a beeline for the nearest store. As they they took cover, another cloud appeared and began swarming the girl, this time in the form of a flock of pigeons.
Inside the building, which turned out to be a glass-blower's workshop, the girls hid away from the windows. Amp put her hand, palm-down, against the wall. The vibrations from the world were innumerable, but she had an idea of where to look. Eventually, a one-sided grin lit her face.

Raina realised things were getting too bad too quick. She couldn't see Zelek anywhere and she was still on top of Dakota. She hoisted herself up and her ears continued to hurt. She felt dizzy. "Look, this is an awful first impression... but like I said I think we need to get out of here." and with that She grabbed his hand and pulled him up. Her eyes went wide as she felt her energy temperaily expelled due to Dakota's power. However- she didn't know he was a mutant and she automatically assumed it was something to do with her. She waivered a little bit and looked as if to faint but regained her energy quickly- she had only touched him for a second. She leaned against the nearest tree and looked up at him with a look that said she needed help but wasn't willing to admit it.
If things with Amp/Vibe and Raven didn't cool off soon... she might have to step in and she really didnt want that. She was already feeling exhausted.
ooc: Dakota, I sorta had to keep going since things are moving along. Fell free to fill in the gaps!
Dakota was ignoring the mmutants that were fighting. Dakota then felt Raina brush his skin as she pulled him up off the ground. He knew that she would be drained of energy and he touched the tree. HE took a little energy and sent it invisibly to Raina. Nobody would notice except for her. He then looked at her. "Feel better now with some more energy?" he said. He then realized that she would probably be confused with him saying that. "I'm a mutant also," he said. "I manipulate and absorb energy. The only problem is, touch my skin and I can't control the energy I take. But the effects are less effective on mutants." He then waited for a response.
OOC: Sorry for taking so long to reply. I was camping for the weekend.

"...also?" Raina looked dissapponited that he was so easily able to figure out that she was a mutant too. But at least she didn't have to worry about him being afraid of her or prejudice in anyway. She did feel better once he sent the energy back to her. She felt sad as soon as she realised what his mutation must entail. He coudln't touch anyone. She still coudln't help the slight blush that crept across her cheeks whenever she looked up at those clear eyes.
"I'm uh... sorry I fell on you." she stammered. "E-earthquakes and all..." she looked back over at the twins and Ali. "I don't know what to do about this... I really only just arrived here... but they're making such a mess and attracting so much attention. I'm afraid someone's going to get hu-" Before Raina could finish her thought the sound waves and earth quakes sent her crashing into Dakota again and into a tree.
It was times like these when Raina wished she could just activate her powers in an angry rage and make everyone just cool off. Impossible or not... it was starting to sound like a good idea.
She was getting tired, and the tips of her hair were a strange greeny colour that became a little bluer. She didn't know Dakota... even though he has so willingly shared his mutation... should she?

Ali was dissapointed that her target was missed but she knew that she was keeping the girls on their toes and constantly moving. Who wouldn't when fire was raining down at you? The other twin looked like she was going to do something but the only thing that ahappened was dogs started barking. Maybe she needed her sister to make the attack work.
Before she knew it Ali was surrounded by moths. The annoying little insects kept fluttering around her. She tried to swat them away but there were too many. She was only able to catch a glimpse of the general direction the girls ran. The bugs were soon joined by a bunch of pigeons. They too were annoying and distracting the redhead.
"ENOUGH!" Ali shouted as she was engulfed in flames. Any birds and insects that were too close were incinerated instantly while the others sought to flee instead of burn.
Now Ali's targets had managed to hide from her while she was busy. She continued to hover but she now had to find her prey. The best way for her to do that was to sense them out. Slowly she hovered in the direction she saw the girls heading. She still had a mental image of the girls and so she was still concentrating on raising their body heat. Knowing that she started looking for higher than normal heat signatures
>Ugh! Why is it so hot??< Vibe complained. Their hair was becoming sweat-drenched.
"It's probably the firestarter's fault." Amp didn't know that for sure, but anything heat-wise she was willing to blame Ali for. An oven blowing up five blocks away would be her fault as far as the twins were concerned.
>Well, if water won't put her out try something else. Like mud.<
"Mud? I say we go dirtier." They shared an awful grin. "Gimme a beat sis."
Vive began snapping her fingers. Amp placed her free hand on the ground, sending more shockwaves into it, but this time she was listening for the feedback. She found what she wanted, and as luck would have it, directly behind Ali. Amp sent a blast through the ground, then up.
Behind Ali, a sewer line exploded, aimed right at her.
Simultaneously Amp blasted a hole in the wall, giving them a way into the next shop. The twins had learned long ago that in a fight, it was always good to keep moving.
Dakota saw the people still fighting and then Raina fell on him. "No problem," he said. He then turned to the people that were fighting. He saw a sewer line explode and then a girl(Who was covered in fire) was drenched. He smirked and then looked at the twin girls. He could feel energy going into the ground. They must be doing it but he didn't think he could absorb sound energy. Dakota then looked at all the mutants there. How stupid are they? he thought. Fighting in the middle of a public park. Hunter would kill me if I did that. But then again, what if he was to break up the fight. Would Hunter punish him?. Dakota was thinking through all these questions in his mind. He also knew that Hunter would be proud of him if he knew that he was thinking first.
Dakota decided against breaking up the fight. It wasn't too bad yet. If it got too bad he would do something...maybe.

As Ali was searching there was a bursting sound behind her as a sewer pipe ruptured sending it's contents out into the air and alot of it was heading for Ali.
Not wasting time talking she jetted herself away from the area by a couple hundred feet. She wasn't about to be made fun of. As she was propelling herself away from the spewing sewage she heard another explosion from one of the shops. She saw a couple windows crack like spiderwebs.
Immediately she began firing multiple fireballs into the shop with the cracking windows as well as the shops to either side. Walls, counters, displays, chairs...anything the fireballs hit exploded and small fires erupted. I'll destroy this whole area if I have to Ali thought to herself as she continued firing.
Dakota saw that the Fire Girl was destroying everything. He couldn't stand for that. He could understand a small quarrell but this was big. Too big. If they wanted to fight, they could do that somewhere else.
Dakota, after thinking about that, decided to step in. He used energy to propel himself to the girl, then he extended his arm to just before the flames that she was engulfed with. She started to feel drained of energy. He made sure he didn't take too much. He just took enough so that she couldn't cause mass destruction anymore. She could still fight, but not with too much power. As for the twins, they seemed to be alright.
The moment Dakota used his powers George contacted Hunter. Knowing that Dakota could still hear him, and that only he would hear him, Hunter activated the microphone. “Good job, keep the situation contained, I’ll keep the local police delayed. Get the mutants out of there. I want you to befriend them, gain their trust. They could come in useful later. Also, turn you microphone back on when you get a chance, I’d like to hear what’s going on. You can turn it off where you’re on personal business, but I need to hear what’s happening.”
Deactivating the microphone Hunter pulled out his phone and made a call. The signals to police were intercepted by teams spread across the city that kept monitoring the police frequencies, and then new orders were sent, redirecting police away from the incident. That should buy Dakota about five minutes to try and get the mutants out.
Dakota heard Hunter's orders and decided not to argue; just to follow them. He turned to the Fire Girl. "Sorry. But I have to get all of you out of here." he said. He picked her up and felt no weight due to the energy he had just recieved. He then turned to the twins and said. "Follow me. I'm carrying the Fire Girl because she is wild. If you are calm, I won't hurt you. Otherwise I will call in some friends." As he said this he had the microphone on. Hunter then knew that if Dakota gave the signal, he would have to send in Xiin and Jeb.
With the girls told what to do he turned to Raina. "You heard what I said to the girls. We have to go. The police are going to be here shortly and so will the CIA guys. I have them detained for a few minutes to give us some time." He then turned around and started walking to the street. While he was walking he said to Hunter in the microphone. "Send me some transportation will ya?"
On hearing Hunter’s request he made another quick phone call. After that he activated the microphone again. “Keep on going down the alley. The other end you should find a black four by four. It’s open and keys are in the side pocket.”
The car had a tracking device in it, so Hunter could have backup follow Dakota at a distance. From the video feed that one of George’s men had sent him the girl that Dakota had weakened had a destructive power with a temperament to match. Jebidiah would be put on standby as his blue fire should help neutralise the girl if she decided to attack Dakota and he couldn’t handle it.
(OOC: While I’m gone you can call Jeb in Dakota, but only if they attack you and your life is in danger. He is your final option if all else fails and I mean absolutely everything else. Hunter wants to keep the Kabal a secret for as long as possible to maximise the element of surprise)
Dakota heard Hunter's voice and listened. He understood and waited for a response from Raina and the twins before he left with them. He then wondered if Hunter would send backup just in case. HE probably would so Dakota decided he would just stay cool. Literally because this Fire Girl was making the air hot with her powers.

Ooc: I posted this by accident because for some reason I coudln't see the page, I put a lot of work into it, if it's O-k I'm going to piece togeather what I wrote with what you wrote!
Ic: Raina smiled at Dakota, "Look... I think this has gone on far enough... I think I should try and stop this...." In truth she didn't have enough faith in her mutation that it could do what she wanted it to do but she was going to try anyway.
Raina opened her mouth. Raina began to sing.
Her voice was soft and beautiful. It was haunting and captivating. It filled the air which dropped in temperature at her command. She sang whistfully and closed her eyes. Raina was using her chantment to coax the water out of the air and sing it into ice. There were no words- unless they were in some beautiful long dead language.... but the air shifted and changed with her every note.
Frost began to form on Raina and spread quickly in spidery veins across the grass where her feet touched. The veins of ice snaked along toward the group. Raina increased her volume and the air got chillier and beads of ice appearing to be levitating formed in the air as she willed the air's moisture to freeze.
Raina's breath now came out is whisps of fog though her voice never waivered. It now became stronger though she began to feel unsure.
There was something coursing through her. Could it have been Dakota's Energy? Was it causing some sort of reaction with her mutation?
Her hair began to split at the ends into a radiant blue that washed it's away to the crown of her head. Raina's skin looked pale and her lips were blue, but she still continued to sing in a voice that had caused many of the onlookers to stop.
The ice was no moving at a more rapid pace , growing thicker and travelling farther. It reached Ali and the twins. Suddenly Raina hit a piercingly high note and the ice wrapped around the twin's and Ali's feet freezing them to the ground. The ice spiked around Ali's hands to make it very difficult for her to set anything on fire, and the ice swelled in the cracks of earth the twins had created forcing the fighters furthur apart.
Then Raina started to look bad. She d never done anything liek this before, she's never had this much control over her powers or in this quantity and it was starting to take it's toll. She gave a final beautiful creshendoing note and rigid spikes of ice pulled themselves from the ground trapping the girls in a stance in which Raina could launch the spikes at any 3 of them when she wanted to. "It's time... " she growled, "to cool off"

After Dakota took over and drained the girls temperarily of their powers Raina stopped singing. She dropped to her knees. "we have to go?" asked Raina weakly. "w-where are we going?" she pulled herself to stand but there was something very strange. Though the ice around had melted when Dakota stopped the other girls, Raina was still slightly covered in Frost. Her lips were blue and her skin was pale. Her hair was still a strange blue colour. She was shaking "I..." Raina motioned to point at oncoming police cars but she couldn't get the words out, she fainted.

OOC: sorry that didn't flow as well as I wanted, I'm having issues with my comp seeing all the posts! I keep getting errors messages. Anyway, please just Ignore anything that doesn't fit properly. Just assume Raina used her powers before Dakota intervened and now she's asleep, lol
