The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Dakota walks into the park and sits on a bench. He then looks at all the people over in a group about 10feet away. They were mutants. That was very obvious. Who they were though was more difficult to tell. He decided to just wait and see if one would come over..
Hunter continues to watch Dakota’s monitor as he leaves the Sanctuary. Leaving wasn’t such a bad move, as it allowed him to appear nonchalant about getting in. When Dakota got to the Park and watch the bunch of mutants Hunter activated the microphone again.
“If you get a chance see if any of them live at the Sanctuary or the Xavier Institute, as well as determining the extent of their powers.” If Dakota could form a friendship with them Hunter may be able to use it to his own ends.
Dakotaa talked into the microphone . "Okay." he said firmly. He then went over to the trash-bin and threw out that button that was rigged. He talked into the watch. "Your not aloud to see what I do. My business is my business. I'll try to get as much info as possible." he then turned the audio off. All Hunter could do now was talk to him.

Raina stopped chanting and looked behind her. The twins and Ali were still arguing and not following. Zelek was gone on ahead. "We better wait!" she yelled up to him hoping he heard. To be honest, she was exhausted from using her powers this much, and at this rate she may have to use them again if the twins and Ali didn't calm down.
Suddenly Raina became very aware of how out of place she was. She had just used her powers in a public place, a very, very public place. Her eyes darted about. She suddenly felt like a cornered animal- afraid and timid. If anyone had realised she was propelling herself along with ice, they didn't show it. Obviously, Zelek's powers were impressive and different but he looked like a normal person riding a bike. She however, felt self conscious.
Her eyes darted in the direction of the closest person and she spyed a man a little older than her sitting on the nearest bench. She darted her eyes away again in fear he'd see her looking, but she dared to look again. He did seem to be gazing in their general direction. A slight blush crept across her cheeks as crimson as her hair when she saw the blue eyes and tall frame. Embaressed she put her hands to her cheek.
"You idiot!" she thought "What are you doing!? If he sees you looking at him he's liable to come over! You can't deal with anymore mutant haters... whatw ere you thinking using your powers in such a public space?" she mentally scolded herself over and over. She had let herself get taken away by the atmosphere of being with other mutants, and forgotten that she really lived in the real world.
Still, there was something oddly familiar about the gentlemen on the bench... she just couldn't place it.
ooc: I figured if you're dad's a crime Lord and you're from Canada, then Raina's visits through the rest of the country would have shown the dad on tv, posters, etc for crimes and wanted. She would have seen them a thousand times but thought nothing of them.
Hunter smiled at the boy’s impudence and pulled out his cell phone. “George, take a team to central park. Dakota’s there and I want him monitored. Use a large team as I don’t what him to know he’s being followed.”
He hung up, knowing that George was one of the best, ex CIA, and that while he might not hear what Dakota is saying, he would see everything that he did. The boy had still not earned his trust, and wouldn’t until he could start to act more like Zephyr and stop try to resist Hunter.

ooc: Just to add, if it's all the same for introduction purposes and plot building, would it be cool if Dakota didn't actually notice her powers? Just perhaps looked over as she stopped or something.
ooc: Hunter:Learn to trust, Raina;Okay. I didn't see anything...
IC: Dakota saw the girl looking at him. He smiled and walked over. "Hello. I am Dakota Crane." He said. He didn't care if she knew his last name and recognized it as the last name of a huge Crime Lord. He just wanted to make a friendship. He then thought about how mad Hunter probably was. He would probably send someone over to watch him. Whatever, that didn't matter. He only got rid of the button so that Hunter couldn't hear his conversation. If Hunter wouldn't even talk to his other inferiors about his powers, and he could keep secrets, so could Dakota.
Dakota noticed that the girl was an Inuit. That was cool, she was probably Canadian, like him. He decided to ask. "I'm from Canada, you?"

Raina beemed and looked up at him. "And I try so hard to not look like one..." she laughed still with a slight blush. "Yes, I am. From way up in the North West Territories actuallly..." she stood a little akward and embaressed. She giggled at her own idocy and tossed her red hair behind her and looked up at him with those bright and infectiously happy eyes, "I'm Raina." she said shaking his hand.
She was still well aware of what was happening behind her, but this didn't have to be a bad thing. At the very least she'd destract this guy from seeing the girls fighting eachother- and it was pleasant to be around someone around her own age.
She pondered over his name for a minute... it still seemed familiar but she couldn't place it. "Have you been here long?" she asked feeling under dressed looking at his sharp suit.
"Well, it must not take much to surprise you when it takes two of you to equal one brain. You know, you two look like bad Barbie doll knock offs." Vibe visibly bristled when the redheaded woman smiled. "I'm sorry. I retract that last statement. I think you more closely resemble the ugly step sisters from Cinderalla."
That did it. The twins had had enough. Time to put this upstart in her place. For a brief moment white-hot fury showed on both girls' faces. Suddenly it was replaced with two dangerously calm smiles. Vibe began clapping slowly, as if applauding Ali.
"Bravo! You've official out-insulted us. Sounds like ya got a real smart mouth on ya. But you know what's funny?" Amp looked genuinely perplexed. "I'm looking at your lips moving, but all I seem to hear is this dull, annoying ringing sound.
"Would you like to hear?"
Suddenly an ear-shattering whistle split the air, so high you almost couldn't hear it, most of it aimed directly at Ali. At the same time, Amp gathered the vibrations from Vibe's clapping, and fast brought her hands together in front of her. A low BOOOOOMM!! shook the ground, and the rush of sound vibrations moving through the air was strong enough to knock Ali off of her bike and tumbling too the ground. It was the same thing they'd done to Zelek earlier, except many times more intense. This time, harm was intended.

Before Raina could listen to whatever Dakota's reply might be, the ground suddenly waivered below them and she felt herself thrust forward. She knew exactly who this must have been and her only thought was not revealing their idenity or her own. She had learned the hard way what could happen if humans or even other mutants found out who she was.
The shake sent her flying into Dakota knocking the pair backward. Raina landed on him and her ears began to ache as if there was a change in pressure in the air. She was genuinely emabressed for landing on top of him- but more pre-occupied with the idea of keeping him pre-occupied and not knowing that her aquantances were mutants.
"Oh my Gosh I think it's an earthquake!" she hoped he'd buy it- glancing behind her they were far enough away that it seemed believable. "I'll have to wait to find out why you've journey out of good old freezing canada... Maybe we better get to a more stable part of the park... usually temors like that come in groups!"
she hoped she'd bought herself, and the others, enough time.

For a moment Ali thought the verbal battle was going to keep going, but she was caught by surprise when She was sent flying off her bike and rolling across the ground. What the hell was that? she thought. She shook her head and gathered herself as she stood back up to face the girls. It had taken long enough but finally the gloves were off.
Ali's eyes began to glow bright green as she started a two pronged assault on the twins. The first part was something of a distraction as well as a wear down technique. She concentrated on the girls body temperature and began to slowly raise it enough to make them start to sweat. Eventually one of two things would happen. Either they would get too disrtacted by all the sweating or they would get heat exhaustion. She was making it feel like the girls were standing in the middle of the Arizona desert.
Once the first part of her attack was started she thrust her hands forward and unleashed two fireballs. One for each twin. Should they hit anything they would explode with emense concussive force as well as start anything flammable on fire.

ooc: eep! It dawned on me this morning Dakota that your character draws energy from whomever he touches. So let's scratch the shaking hands bit, and assume that when she fell she didn't touch your skin
Because of the adrenaline burst, the twins didn't register the rise in body heat at first. Since the fireballs were obvious, that's what they concentrated on. The girls dodged sideways, but since they were in their rollerblades still and at a standstill, they weren't as quick as they could have been. The balls passed close enough to give them instant sunburns. The fireballs hit a nearby cafe, turning the tables and chairs to ash, along with part of the storefront, and the blast sent Amp and Vibe sprawling on the pavement.
That simply angered the girls more. The ground began to shake, like an earthquake, as Amp aimed a sonic blast into the ground. Cracks began to form in the ground, one of them headed straight for Ali. Others seemed to go in random directions.
A fire hydrant exploded, sending a fountain of water into the air. All around fire hydrants and sprinkler caps began exploding, until it was practically raining.
The girls still hadn't connected their body heat rising to Ali's power, but they assumed that if she was a fire-controller, water would be her worst enemy. On the other hand, the water gave them a bit of a power increase, as well as cooling them down. They paused just long enough to kick off the rollerblades and get to their feet, then Vibe stuck her foot into the nearest fountain, sending a spray directly at Ali, smirking evilly.
"We'll see who's laughing in the end."
>Yeah, keep laughin' hotshot. Keep that mouth open long enough for us to drown you.<
"Even if she shuts it, we still win."
Neither Amp nor Vibe took notice of the crowds of people streaming out of the nearby stores, convinced of an earthquake.
The girls managed to dodge the fireballs and Ali watched as they vaporized part of a cafe front. She had a feeling they would be able to move out of the way but she was testing their agility. People started yelling and screaming while still others started to gather to watch the show down.
The ground started to shake and the fiery female watched as one of the girls focused her power into the ground. Crack sprung out in various directions but one of them was headed for Ali. At the same time fire hydrants started bursting sending water shooting everywhere. The second twin moved to one of the hydrants and tried to angle some of the water at Ali.
Though she didn't mind water at all she wasn't in the mood to get wet and so she jumped up, and using her power she flew up above the sprays of water as well as avoiding the cracking earth.
"Nice try girls." Ali's tone was purely sarcastic.
Placing her hands together in front of her Ali ushered forth an immense stream of fire at Amp since she was focusing on the ground attack.
