The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>> "I met Darren on his first day here, I helped give'm a tour and everything. He's cool. Totally quiet. Come here, I should probably formally introduce you and all. It's okay, Agnes and Rebecca are really nice. They don't bite. Much."
Rebecca was feeling thoroughly stretched and ready to contort herself in the name of victory when a sound came from the kitchen. Gina's investigation turned up a boy she called Darren. Taking a look at him, he seemed younger, closer to Gina's age than Rebecca's. He was a skinny little thing, but fine looking nonetheless. Her nurturing instinct nagged at her to feed the kid. "Nice tae meet ye! Feel free tae grab chips, ur some of th' cookies Ah made! Pizza's comin' tae! Ah'm Rebecca!" The description of Gina's first encounter with Darren seemed recognizably similar to her first Gina tour.
She motioned toward her tray of cookies to offer them to the new boy when she spotted a young man in the doorway. This one was older than Darren, around Rebecca's age or older. The idea of this tall, handsome-faced man seeing her in her nightie made her glad she was wearing her light sweater, she thought with soft pinkness at her cheeks. Meekly but politely, she introduced herself, "Um, hi. A-Ah'm Rebecca. Who are ye?"
When she had thought of passing people joining the festivities, it had not occurred to her that might end up being male guests. Still, as unprepared as she was, she wanted to be courteous. "We're jist celebratin' mah birthday, if ye want tae join us," she offered the two boys the opportunity to join in.
>> "Oh yeah, I'm ready to show you how this game is done,”
Agnes smirked. Gina stretched, Rebecca was stretching, it really seemed like the both of them were absolutely ready to bring on the pain. The runaway partially wished that Rebecca did not have the power that she did so that she could just sit it out. Agnes was not the most competitive person, even when it came to small board games. Just judging by how both Gina and Rebecca were limbering up, it just meant that Agnes was going be the first to fall.
Perfect.
Arms around, Agnes began to stretch as well when her last comment towards Gina was followed by the sound of someone nearby. She tilted her head curiously, really unsure of what that sound was. She confirmed with her sister that it was something she had indeed heard as well. Gina sneaked away, Agnes watched curiously…
>> "Darren! What're you hiding in the kitchen for?"
Darren? she thought. Who is that?
She began to creep closer to get a look when Gina suddenly peeked back in, as if reading their minds, and spoke up.
>> "I met Darren on his first day here, I helped give'm a tour and everything. He's cool. Totally quiet."
Well there was a big surprise. Gina was the first to meet nearly every single newcomer at the mansion. She was a social butterfly and, in Agnes opinion, really should have been the welcoming face for Xavier’s. With her sunny disposition, she could make any newcomer feel at home.
>> "Come here, I should probably formally introduce you and all. It's okay, Agnes and Rebecca are really nice. They don't bite. Much."
She chuckled. She leaned in closer and spied the boy standing in the kitchen, looking a little lost and terrified at being caught by the trio of girls. Agnes beamed. He was cute, around Gina’s age, and definitely needed to eat a sandwich, but he seemed nice enough. And Gina happened to be a good judge of character. If she didn’t mind him then Agnes had no problems with him.
Rebecca seemed to shared this sentiment the second she invited him to her birthday party.
>> "Nice tae meet ye! Feel free tae grab chips, ur some of th' cookies Ah made! Pizza's comin' tae! Ah'm Rebecca!"
She nodded as she waved for Darren to join them. More good company was always a plus.
“Hi, Darren. My name’s Agnes, as my dear sister here,” she said as she nudged Gina playfully, “announced. There’s plenty of food. You should join us.”
As she peeked into the hall though she spied another familiar face. Drew? She knew that face all too well. Though she had little to no words with him recently, she still remembered him well from when her parents had arrived at the mansion in order to take her away. He went one on one with Malachi, a very dangerous mutant her parents had employed. Anyone would have run from Malachi, but Drew did not. She would never be able to stop thanking Drew for what he did for her that day. She owed him for his brave intervention. One day, Agnes hoped, she could return the favor.
She smiled warmly and in a friendly manner at her. Her iridescent wings fluttered briefly.
“Hi Andr—“
>> "Um, hi. A-Ah'm Rebecca. Who are ye? We're jist celebratin' mah birthday, if ye want tae join us,"
Agnes arched her brow and peeked over at Rebecca. The redhead was a little nervous looking but Agnes could see why. Andrew was a handsome guy, brave, though definitely not Agnes’ type (being an guy and all), but he made the hearts of the majority of the girl’s here on campus flutter. Rebecca was another enamored admirer. Who knows, maybe something would come of it…
She smiled a little shyly as she turned away from Rebecca and nodded to Andrew, flattening her wings against her back against.
“Why don’t you join us, Andrew? And Darren too. Plenty of food and festivities to go around.”
For a second, Darren thought no one had noticed his…accident. He heard another girl (whose voice sounded quite familiar, now that he thought about it…) reply playfully to the limber comment. Perhaps if he just played it cool, cleaned up the mess he’d left on the floor, and high-tailed it out of there, no one would be the wiser. He was about to breathe a sigh of relief when a memorable face popped up over the counter, startling him. Gina! She had a sly look on her face, and the unflustered part of his brain wondered if she was trying to be sneaky?
>> "Darren! What're you hiding in the kitchen for?"
He froze, wearing the classic “deer-caught-in-headlights” look. His cheeks grew red. He stumbled over a reply, but spoke too quietly for anyone to really hear him, “I…I…w-wasn’t hidi—”
>> "I met Darren on his first day here, I helped give'm a tour and everything. He's cool. Totally quiet. Come here, I should probably formally introduce you and all. It's okay, Agnes and Rebecca are really nice. They don't bite. Much."
He simply stared, owl-eyed, as introductions were made for him. The two other girls seemed to accept him warmly, smiling and laughing. It was then he noticed they were in their pajamas, with various snacks and drinks spread out around them. The pieces fit together, and he realized he was probably intruding on a private hang out. With the cake sitting on a table, he guessed it was a birthday party? Darren gulped and shook his head, “I-I don’t want to c-crash your p-party…”
>> "Nice tae meet ye! Feel free tae grab chips, ur some of th' cookies Ah made! Pizza's comin' tae! Ah'm Rebecca!" >> “Hi, Darren. My name’s Agnes, as my dear sister here, announced. There’s plenty of food. You should join us.”
Well, it seemed he didn’t have much of a choice anymore, with so much enthusiasm. He paused to absorb all of the new information he was learning (Gina had a sister?), before he hesitantly shuffled towards the girls. Heat flooded his face and neck, and he felt his stomach growl again. Pizza sounded delicious, and the potato chips sitting in the corner also looked quite appetizing. Maybe he would stay for a little while…
As Darren neared the trio, and detected the Twister mat set up on the ground, the girls noticed another person standing in the doorway. He looked up when Rebecca—who had some sort of accent, Scottish?—shyly greeted the other newcomer, a much older guy. Well, much older than Darren. He didn’t look that much older than Rebecca or Agnes. It appeared the young man and the redhead were unfamiliar with one another, while Agnes and Gina seemed to know him.
>> "We're jist celebratin' mah birthday, if ye want tae join us." >> “Why don’t you join us, Andrew? And Darren too. Plenty of food and festivities to go around.”
“H-happy birthday, Rebecca,” the teenager quickly said, feeling very out of place. What was he doing with a bunch of girls in their pajamas? Pajamas! And during a birthday party, no less. Again, he was about to retreat, but he felt and heard his stomach growl once more. Darren’s desire for pizza was fighting his absolute terror at hanging out with three attractive ladies. He nodded to Andrew and took a seat. His stomach won out over his brain.

It was a comical encounter. Darren, meet three chipper, pajama-clad girls. Chipper, pajama-clad girls, meet indescribably awkward boy. Darren tried to excuse himself with the dismissal of that he didn't want to crash the party, but this was met by two statements that proved he wouldn't be.
Introductions were exchanged between Darren, and Agnes and Rebecca. Gina stood by wearing a smile. She didn't even have to introduce them to one another, Agnes and Rebecca did it all on their own. Rebecca introduced herself first, directing Darren toward the chips and cookies, and informed him that pizza was on the way, before introducing herself. Good tactic. Guys couldn't resist food. Agnes reiterated this, but began with her name before mentioning the food, and inviting Darren to join.
"See? No worries," Gina assured the shy boy, "It isn't crashing if the birthday girl invites you."
Another masculine figure joined, leaning in the doorway, but Gina didn't take notice until the other two girls spoke up. Agnes began to greet him, but she was cut-off by an anxious reply from Rebecca. Uh-oh, was a staff member crashing the party so soon? Gina hated the idea of relocating to a dorm room, where they'd have to keep the noise level down because of the nieghbors. Gina turned inquringly, and spied a tall, familiar form propped up in the doorway. Gina recognized that this was Drew who was joining them, shortly after Agnes voiced the invite, and Darren gave a belated happy birthday sentiment to Rebecca. Gina grinned like a fox. So that was why Rebecca was so anxious. In that case, Drew simply had to stay.
"Hi Drew!" Gina chirped happily. She was more acquainted with Drew than Darren, so showed nearly no hesitance upon spying him. Rather than greet him from afar and ask him to come in, the young gargoyle was far more up-front about having him join-in. She trotted over, gave the guy a quick hug, before looping an arm through his and not-so-subtly leading him into the living room. She didn't drag him in, per se, for she didn't want to send a six-foot-something toppling over, but she was rather insistent.
"You're right in-time for food," Gina concurred with the two prior statements made by the girls, only releasing Drew when they were closer to the group, "Rebecca's nineteen today and she just came to Xavier's, so we're having a little impromptu party, just like Rebecca said. You heard what we had for sustenance and such." Gina was in all-out bumblebee-mode, humming about excitedly because of the increasing size of the group. On top of that, she knew everyone here, which fueled Gina with even more excitement. She turned her attention to Darren, and reiterated, "Darren, this is Drew. Drew, Darren--"
Now he had another boy to suffer through the party of cackling hens with-- commiserating testoserone in a pool of estrogen.
"You guys want to stick around for Twister?"
Gina knew no shame. Nor did she think anything of the offer, or anything beyond the idea that Twister was more of a challenge with more bodies, because of the greater competition for certain spaces.

It wasn't hard to see the precise moment when Darren gave up on trying to get out of this party. Three good looking girls in pjs had appealed to his stomach. The boy was a goner. The birthday girl, the redhead, whose name was Rebecca and who sounded very Scottish was the first to address Drew. He didn't pay much attention to the slight stammer in her speech. He didn't know her well enough to know if it was natural for her to be nervous occasionally or whether it was another reaction like the one he got from some of the students here. That Drew ignored with practiced ease so he smiled at her.
"Like Agnes and Gina said, I'm Drew. Nice to meet you and happy birthday."
The girls it seems did not want to offer him a reprieve from the party either. At least Darren would have someone to suffer with him. Drew offered the kid a rueful grin even as Gina pulled him into the room. He probably could have stopped her if he'd held his ground but that would have made things messy and ruined the mood of the birthday celebration. It would be something to do at least. There was food to be had and good company. Though he held back a frown at the mention of the game to be played.
"I'll sit out if it's all the same to you Gina."
And with that Drew found a chair and made himself comfortable. The girls could play their game of Twister while Drew sat to the side. Now if Darren decided to participate it could get awkward and Drew might have himself a laugh. Otherwise he settled into his chair to spend a bit of time at this party. Staying the whole time wasn't an option to his mind but Drew could spare half an hour or so.

Rebecca graciously accepted two new birthday wishes from the boys, Darren and Drew. Her heart was beating faster, either due to the unfamiliar presence of men or the energy drink that was starting to work through her system.
Not surprisingly, Gina seemed to know Drew well enough to pull him into the festivities, and the allure of food had wrangled Darren. Rebecca was happy to meet new people, but she would be lying if she said she was not relieved that Drew turned down the game. It was one thing playing with her girlfriends or even with the younger, innocent boy, but playing a game of physical contact with a young man like Drew? The thought was enough to put her out of commission.
She handed the spinner board to Drew. "Ah was gonnae magnetically spin this, but if ye arenae playin' mebbe ye could." She smiled politely; it would be more fair if she was not the spinner, even if she would never think of cheating to win.
Rebecca noticed she was taking bouncy steps, almost as if she was skipping. For some reason, she was pumped for this game, feeling excitement coursing through her, (somehow not associating it with the energy drink.)
The combination of her energy and the warmth of the room left her once again realizing how warm her sweater was. If she was warm, she was going to end up sweating, and that would make her feel embarrassed on the Twister mat, and she might slip off her hand and lose, but at the same time, if she took of the sweater, she would be in a sleeveless nightie in front of boys and Agnes, not that it would be as weird with a female friend like Agnes, but having her bare freckled shoulders exposed might make her just as embarrassed as if she was sweating, but she was not going to be more likely to slip, and she would be more comfortable, if not a bit more shy.
So in the end, she quietly undid the buttons of her sweater and placed it on the back of a nearby loveseat.
Rebecca crossed her newly bared arms over her chest, feeling a tad bit shaky. She was feeling awkward, but the shaking was most likely nerves, (once again failing to recall her energy drink.) Trying to consciously force blood out of her cheeks, she proposed, "Sae, let's start the game?"
((OOC- So for the game, we obviously won't go move by move. Just make sure what movements you make don't do any Godmode-type stuff without permission. Sound fair?))
Agnes smirked as Gina had reached out and led Andrew into the room. Darren muttered a Happy Birthday to Rebecca, as well as Andrew, so now the party seemed to be complete! Though it seemed a little unfair that all the girls were in their pajamas. But Agnes trusted Andrew a little more than when she first met him. He was a nice guy, not the leering type. Darren…well…he seemed extremely sweet, but she had a feeling that if he at all stepped out of line that any of them could take him down a peg or two.
Stepping back into the room, her wings fluttered against her back a little nervously the second that she spied the Twister mat on the floor again. Suddenly her courage at wanting to play this game was beginning to wane extremely. Now not only did she have to play in front of Rebecca and Gina, but now there was Andrew and Darren in the mix! Well, no Andrew. He was lucky enough to claim the coveted spot of “spinner”.
Silently she cursed his name.
Rebecca seemed to be absolutely bursting with energy. Whether that was because she was in the presence of the handsome man like Drew, or because she had a tummy full of energy drink, the young redhead seemed to be absolutely on cloud nine. She smirked a little at this thought. She herself had never had a birthday like this. No wonder people liked to have them.
She sighed though as the time of truth came.
>> "Sae, let's start the game?"
A shudder of fear ran up her spine. Instantly her fight or flight instinct came in and Agnes felt every nerve in her thin legs urging her to run; to make up some excuse and find a away to get out of playing. But, deep down, she knew that she did not want to disappoint Rebecca. Why that was a deciding factor, she really didn’t know. Sure she considered Becca her friend but still, rarely did such a thing ever stop her from running away from something she didn’t want to do.
Yet…somehow…this was different.
So, she shook off her jitters, stretched wide and nodded to her friends and newcomers.
“Let’s go.”
**** 5 Minutes Later…
Left hand red.
Ow.
Right foot green.
Ow!
Left foot blue.
OW!!!
Agnes was sure of it. Her back was going to snap in half. She mingling of breath, the tangle of limbs, the cramping in certain muscles, she was sure that this game, right here, was going to be the death of her. To hell with her parents’ exorcism, living half-dead in the streets, or fighting off dangerous mutants; there was absolutely no way that she was going to survive this!
Her limbs shook as she struggled to keep herself up in, what she could only describe as…well…she really had no words for the position. All she knew was that her wings were already battering someone in the face, someone had stepped on her fingers (TWICE), and now Rebecca’s hair was dangling across her eyes, leaving her only a field of red strands to look into.
Yup…this would be how she died: cramped, sore, and seeing red…
Gina appeared very familiar with Andrew, even going so far as to hug him and quite nearly drag him into the living room. Well, with such a feisty gargoyle insisting he stay, how could the man say no? Darren was silently thankful though. Being the only male at a girls’ slumber party was just a bit…well…he really hoped no one he knew passed by and spied him there.
He smiled awkwardly when he was more formally introduced to Andrew and distractedly played with the hem of his plaid shirt, avoiding the direct gaze of anyone. He realized that everyone in the room knew one another, save for Rebecca and Andrew. The only person he knew was Gina and that only by name. As friendly as the girls were being, he was clearly an outsider. Andrew was certainly much older than him, and while they shared the same gender, that was probably where their similarities ended. The ease with which he spoke in such a situation alluded to a confident character that Darren could not relate to.
After the exchange of friendly words, Gina brought up Twister, and Andrew immediately called the role of spinner. Darn. He couldn’t possibly get the position of “spinner’s helper,” could he? The teenager twiddled his thumbs and hoped no one would notice his non-participation in the game. Perhaps if he just sat completely still…
But alas, he could not stay hidden. Quite quickly, Gina spied him trying to shrink away, and try as he might to resist her, she persuaded him to play. Darren gulped as he was forced up and stared at the cursed Twister mat. She wouldn’t say anything if he “accidentally” slipped on the first or second spin, would she? He stole a glance at her, realizing that her gargoyle wings would probably take up a lot of space on the mat. So would Agnes’s iridescent ones now that he thought about it. Was that entirely fair? Er, not that he cared…
All too soon, the game began, and Darren prepared for embarrassment and a quick exit strategy. He would have to make it look as natural as possible. With luck, his utter lack of coordination would do the job for him.
---------------------------
Left hand red: Easy enough start. He placed his long fingers on a red dot.
Right foot green: Yes, a long stretch! He put himself in a purposely difficult position with his back facing the ground. (Un)fortunately, a pair of insect wings found their way to his face.
Left foot blue: Oh, the difficulties were mounting. He reveled in strain he…was supposed to feel. The position was altogether too easy to hold…
Right hand blue: To reach the next available blue dot, he would have to maneuver around Agnes (whose wings were still pummeling his face), an impossible stretch. There was no humanly way he could reach the dot without falling over. Perfect. He started reaching, fully expecting to lose his balance and fall over (hopefully not taking anyone down with him), when…his fingers actually touched the blue dot. His eyes widened and he remembered with horror that he was stretchy! He was the freaking elastic kid! Twister was obviously a cinch for someone whose bones were gelatinous.

Drew quickly called the role of "spinner", which was probably for the better. They did need a spinner, Drew was the oldest, so it all worked out. Drew took a seat, spinner in-hand. There was minor mulling about, with Rebecca proposing that they begin. Agnes agreed, Gina chorused in with a, "Yeah, I'm game."
Darren tried to sneak away. Not going to happen. Gina snagged him before he could escape, smiling winningly.
"Don't you want to stick around?" she inquired sweetly, trying to get a better look at Darren's face. There'd been some pleading, and maybe some batting of eyelashes, and Gina wasn't even aware she was doing it. But whatever it was, it seemed to do the trick.
Let the game begin.
Five minutes later, Gina was cursing her short little legs, her wings, and her short little arms. She couldn't reach anything as it was, and her wings got in the way. By some miracle, she'd managed to keep her wings from hindering herself and others, and her tail... well, that tail always had a mind of its own. Gina was now positioned towards the edge of the mat, facing everyone else, but nearest to Darren. Left hand, red. Gina did just as Darren did, put her hand on a dot. No problem, that was easy. Right foot, green.
Aw, snap. Gina was short... so... Gina carefully turned to the side, minding her tail, minding her wings, and letting out a brief squeak as she stretched her stubby little leg towards the opposite end of the mat. Left foot blue... Gina chuckled faintly... oh dear God, she was going to die. Gina carefully wedged her left foot up under her, using it for balance and taking some of the weight off of her red-bound left hand. Okay.
Right hand blue.
Crud.
Gina was at the end, directly behind Darren, so she had some room to work, but to get her hand to that location either required her to bend down and tuck her arm under her, or do a "bridge" and bend backwards, which was near-impossible with her wings. Gina might have maybe stepped on Agnes's hand, a matter over which she was apologetic, but now came retribution. Gina reached under herself to go for a blue dot, and unlike the only boy participating, she was not a human rubber band. Gina reached down, didn't mind her balance, and wound up landing on her head with her butt pointing skywards. Curse her stubby limbs, wings and poor balance.
"Does it count if you land on your head, but not fall all the way down?" Gina inquired, still propped up by her face.

Handling the spinner was child's play. The real fun was watching the younger folks contort themselves. Being the eldest of the group it would have been somewhat awkward to play the game with them so spinning for them allowed him some of the amusement without the stretching and inevitable awkward situations. Someone would fall on someone else. A hand, foot, or even face would end up precisely where it shouldn't be. Twister was a game that just begged for such things to happen. If he were to speed it along a little? Well no one could really blame him for it if they couldn't keep upright.
He kept things simple for the first several spins though. It wouldn't do to start off harsh. Drew would let them get themselves all tangled up on their own before he struck. As such Gina's early failure took him rather by surprise.
He'd never admit, even under pain of death, that he was snickering very quietly for some time before he answered her question of whether or not it counted.
"One more shot Gina. You're out next time."
It sounded fair to him. Plus it would give her incentive to try and stay in the game. At least long enough for him to engineer something hilarious. Drew was already thinking about who to tumble onto who. Cruel maybe but that was the privilege of the spinner.
He spun the dial.
"Right hand green"
Apparently the game had something of a sense of humor.

Rebecca was not sure how everyone else was fairing, but thus far, Rebecca was handling herself well enough, considering she was sure at least two other players were in contact with her. She had one leg passing through the legs of Agnes behind her, with her foot touching what she assumed was Darren. (The skin did not feel as tough as Gina's to Rebecca's socked toes.) She had one hand in front of her on yellow and was just called to place her right on red.
The spot was reachable, but her body was going to have to get lower. She moved slowly downward, careful to maintain her balance. Her left arm was getting fidgety and her heart was racing. It was very possible her body was trembling without her knowledge or consent.
Despite her body working against her, her mind was focused in competition mode. (Maybe racing a bit with thoughts, but most of them were about what the right circle would be.) She placed her hand on the circle, which was one half of the battle, but now she had to adjust her body in a way she could remain until her next mood.
What ended up working was keeping her torso parallel with the ground while keeping her bottom slightly elevated to keep her legs stretched. Normally, Rebecca would be embarrassed essentially pointing her butt at Agnes and mortified that from this angle, Drew had to be able to see down top. Thankfully, sugar-rush, play-to-win Rebecca was oblivious to the others, except as obstacles.
>> "Does it count if you land on your head, but not fall all the way down?"
>> "One more shot Gina. You're out next time."
Rebecca laughed through strained breath, trying to blow strawberry-blonde strands out of her own face. "Gina, are ye causing trouble back there?" In all honesty, if there was any outcome she was hoping for in the game (besides victory,) it was to see how Gina and Darren interacted with one another. They were close to one another in age and Gina did seem to have some sway over Darren, (though that could just be Gina's excitable, take-charge personality.) She was not making assumptions, but she was also not going to ignore any possible fodder for possible nighttime boy talk.
Agnes felt her limbs shaking as she tried to hold onto her position. She really did not know why she was trying so hard to win this game, especially when she felt so awkward to begin with. It was so easy to just fall and be taken out of the game. Easy as that! But for whatever reason, Agnes seemed intent to try her best. It was like she was trying to impress someone with her skills but who? Certainly not Gina or Andrew. Darren she just met. Rebecca, maybe? Agnes shook that thought away before it led to somewhere she really did not want it to.
She was not following that line of thought again. She simply wasn’t.
Besides, there were far more pressing matter in her mind right now. Mainly, why the hell the next move had not been made yet?! Agnes could already fill her body straining to right herself from this current posture. It was just too awkward for her to maintain for long but for whatever reason, someone was holding up the game when trying to make their move.
THUMP!
Agnes winced as she heard someone go down. Lucky devil. She turned to turn to see who it was…when all she found was a purple, flannel-clad behind aimed directly at her. She blushed at realizing that it was Rebecca and turned away. As she did she began to chuckle when she saw Gina lying on her head with her own end directly up in the air.
“Okay, seriously, guys,” she muttered. “I think you all have filled my quota in seeing butts this year! Gawd!” she said amidst her own laughter.
>> "Does it count if you land on your head, but not fall all the way down?"
>> "One more shot Gina. You're out next time."
>> "Gina, are ye causing trouble back there?"
“When isn’t she?” Agnes called out with a laugh as well.
She sighed though. She could already feel a cramp trying to form but she managed to ignore it as she tried to shift her position a little. She didn’t dare take her hands or feet off any of the dots that she was currently holding but she needed to adjust her position a little bit, or she would fall over. Her wings buzzed again and she glanced back to see that Darren was the one being buffeted in the face by them. She winced.
“Sorry,” she uttered.
>> "Right hand green"
Oh for ****’s sake!! she thought. She was going to kill Drew. Agnes, with sore limbs, numbly reached for the spot, caring little for anyone in her way. It was a game of Twister! They should be prepared to be touched.
Darren had been so focused on his own movements that he hadn’t paid much attention to how the others were fairing, although no one had crumpled and lost yet. He’d smirked when Gina let out an adorable squeak, but for the most part did not see her because of her position directly behind him. He spent most of his time blushing from all of the human contact, silently apologizing whenever he accidentally brushed against someone or stepped on them.
While he cursed the usefulness of his mutation in a game like Twister, he heard a soft thud behind him, followed by an inquiry from Gina.
>> "Does it count if you land on your head, but not fall all the way down?"
She landed on her head? That didn’t sound fun. Darren turned to see what had happened, and couldn’t help but quietly chuckle when he saw her position. The others laughed as well, amidst comments about Gina and trouble. His amusement was followed with more blushing, of course, since her behind was, uh, in quite a prominent pose. He looked away, cheeks pink, but a faint smile still evident on his features, before Agnes’ wings battered his face again. Ah.
Andrew said he’d give Gina another chance, and Darren thought the older guy might be pretty okay if he was being so gracious. (Then again, who could resist that girl?) He didn’t notice the silent snickering or the devious glint in his eyes, of course.
>> “Sorry.”
The teenager nodded at Agnes’ apology, trying not to show that he was bothered by the wings. It was just when they twitched in his face… “It’s okay,” he replied, smiling timidly.
>> “Right hand green.”
Darren sighed. He felt bad for the other players. The positions they would have to put themselves into were not going to be fun. For him, on the other hand, it wouldn’t be so difficult to reach a green dot. He sighed again. It looked like he was just going to have to win the game.

>> "One more shot Gina. You're out next time… Right hand green."
“Yay!” Gina replied. Rather than attempting to push herself back to her feet, she oozed the rest of the way onto the floor, before rebounding to a standing position, and stretching in preparation for rejoining the competition.
>> "Gina, are ye causing trouble back there?"
>> “When isn’t she?”
Gina laughed shortly, a smirk upon her face at the comments from Agnes and Rebecca.
“I am a saint,” Gina retorted jokingly, wings fluttering lightly before returning to a snug position against her back, “I’m incapable of causing trouble.”
This was, of course, wholly untrue. Gina stepped back onto the mat, and casually placed her right hand onto the green dot without really any struggle whatsoever. Since she’d fallen and restarted, she wasn’t as entangled as the other kids.
“Game on,” Gina sang, glancing towards Drew for the next instructions.

Not being distracted by contorting his body into a number of positions it was easy for Drew to watch the whole game progress with amusement. Well amusement and a dose of interest. After all even the nicest guys would hardly turn away from what was essentially a free show. Rebecca was rather nice to look at and as expected the game had provided a position that would have likely been incredibly embarrassing if red head was paying attention to it at all. Drew watched with only mild interest as the rest of the participants arranged themselves according to his order and Drew smiled at them.
"Everyone settled in? All nice and cozy?"
The moment between his question and his spinning the dial was likely torture. Drew didn't move to make it any shorter.
"Left foot blue."
Drew settled back in his chair to watch this round's excitement. Who knew what would happen in this round?
