The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Gina's entrace was accepted well, but Gina still winced away, expecting to be shoved down or at least swung at. All the while, she cackled. Yup, she'd caught Rebecca and Agnes in the middle of something important, though what, the gargoyle didn't know-- her entrance had been a surprise, which equated to success.
>> “Oh…my…gawd, GINA! I almost took a swing at you.”
All that Agnes got in reply was a shrill giggle and a broad grin. That's what Agnes and Rebecca got for letting her guards down. Particularly when they knew that Gina was coming.
>> "Oh, Agnes was jist warnin' meh of th' dangers of energy drinks. An' yer nae late at all! We jist ordered th' pizza! Agnes knew what you'd like. Hope ye donae mind!"
"Not at all," Gina replied, maintaining her position laying on their laps. She was small enough, she wouldn't smash their legs by laying on them, or anything. She then echoed, "The dangers of energy drinks? Oh, but energy drinks are fun!"
This was coming from a girl who wasn't permitted to drink energy drinks, on the account that she already had far too much energy naturally. Gina on energy drinks would be akin to the real-world equivalent of the Energizer Bunny, except stuck on the "fastforward" track.
>> "Ye should try one of me cookies! There's a cookie in th' cookie!"
"Cookie in the cookie?" Gina echoed, sitting up gingerly. It would figure that mention of cookies would get Gina to sit up. She carefully removed herself from Rebecca's and Agnes's respective laps, looking around for the confectionary treats upon the counter.
>> “Try one, Gina. They are REALLY good,”
Gina was certain that they were. Agnes knew how Gina was about sweet foods-- or really, any food at all. Gina loved food. She mosied over to the counter, and retrieved a cookie, before eagerly taking a bite.
"Oh my gosh, this is good!" Gina avowed, holding a hand over her mouth to maintain some dignity whilst she spoke.

Agnes was often a more shy person, but Gina brought out a silly side in her older sister. The sort of side that threatens to give Gina a whack. If they were ever in a shady situation, she would not mind having Agnes there to protect her.
>> "The dangers of energy drinks? Oh, but energy drinks are fun!"
If anything, the idea of an energy drink was becoming more intriguing by the second. Would it really hit her that hard? Caffeine was a rare part of her drinking diet after all. "Why nae? Soonds worth a laugh! Someain fetch me one ay these power drinks!" She was not one to command her friends, but she did not know where an energy drink would be.
A second positive reaction to the baked treats brightened Rebecca's smile. This was definitely a recipe for her to save.
And speaking of delicious little treats, Rebecca recalled a phone conversation that was a tasty morsel of gossip. "Gina, ye missed it! Agnes here 'ad a pleasant phone call wi' our flirtatious lil pizza lad!"
>> "The dangers of energy drinks? Oh, but energy drinks are fun!"
Agnes shook her head. She was about to open her mouth to say something. She had seen how energy tricks could affect people, especially when they were not used to the sugar rush. And judging by the amount of cake, cookies, soda and everything that they had already planned to consume for the evening, adding an energy drink to that mix definitely did not sound like a good idea. It was Rebecca’s birthday but she was still worried about her new friend overdoing it.
“Um—“ she started to say.
>> "Why nae? Soonds worth a laugh! Someain fetch me one ay these power drinks!”
Unfortunately she was cut off by Rebecca’s “royal declaration” that she now wanted an energy drink. Now, Agnes knew that it was only a joke. After all she did tell Rebecca that to properly celebrate her birthday that she needed to relax and let them handle everything. So did not hold it against the pretty Scot when she decided to play it up with a laugh of her own.
Agnes shook her head at how silly Rebecca and Gina were being. Gina was a bubbling pot of energy to begin with. There was no way she’d give her an energy drink. And she was just about to say the same to Rebecca, again, when suddenly her friend informed Gina of her embarrassing phone call…
>> "Gina, ye missed it! Agnes here 'ad a pleasant phone call wi' our flirtatious lil pizza lad!"
A blush immediately appeared on her cheeks as she adverted the gazes of Gina and Rebecca. She rolled her eyes as she shook her head, remembering the tone in that guy’s voice, the way in which he tried to get her own personal information from her, just the unashamed lust that he spoke with. It made Agnes just a little queasy and boy it was embarrassing.
Another glance at Rebecca as she joked about her phone call. Agnes then smiled as sweet as pie, laced with arsenic.
“It was just hilarious! Ugh, you know what, honey, LET me get that energy drink for you. After all, you’re right, gosh darn it,” she stood up beaming. “It is your birthday and you SHOULD have one. At least to try it once. Excuse me,” she said with a soft giggle and excused herself from the group. “I mean, it’s not like you’re going to have one drink, take off your shirt and twirl it about your head.”
She said that last line just as she exited the common room. She paused. A random image fluttered about in her mind and immediately it caused her blush. Quickly she shooed it away as she made her way to the kitchen.
She hummed silently to herself as she started to rummage through the fridge. It was not long before she did find one of the other student’s energy drinks. It was a large, red can that had the word “CRUNK!!!” written across it. She remembered one of the students saying that the drink tasted like carbonated fruit punch. Maybe that would be the best choice for Rebecca.
A smirk played across her lips as she turned the can over to peer at the ingredients. Her eyes nearly bulged out of her head at the sight that this one can contained 421.94 mg/L of caffeine! She’d had to pry Rebecca off the walls with a shovel!
“Ahem! Well!...” Agnes said with a shrug. “She said she wanted to try it.”
Holding onto the can tightly she made her way back, a sly smile on her face.

>> "Why nae? Soonds worth a laugh! Someain fetch me one ay these power drinks!"
Agnes began to interject, and Gina paused, arching her eyebrows at the two. She'd been kidding, but it seemed that they were both taking her rather seriously. Rebecca declared that she should have a "power drink," and given another outburst from the Scottish girl, Agnes seemed to give-in.
>> "Gina, ye missed it! Agnes here 'ad a pleasant phone call wi' our flirtatious lil pizza lad!"
>> “It was just hilarious! Ugh, you know what, honey, LET me get that energy drink for you. After all, you’re right, gosh darn it. It is your birthday and you SHOULD have one. Dear lord, where had all of that come from? Of course Agnes wasn't pleased about a pizza boy flirting with her over the phone, but Gina wouldn't be the one to announce why. Gina wasn't too sure how open about her sexuality Agnes was. Gina flopped onto the couch with a defeated sigh, smiling apologetically. As if it were any consolation, she announced, "I was kidding. I never get to drink energy drinks."
And then, she returned to her cookie. She grinned at Rebecca, and explained, "You should see me when I get sugared-up. Or even shut inside when the weather's foul. Talk about peeling someone off of the walls."
Moments later, Agnes returned, toting a can of what Gina knew to be an energy drink... it was too tall to be a soda. And she was grinning like a fox. Gina looked passively uncertain. Man, that "pizza lad" must have been a real jerk, elsewise Agnes wouldn't have been acting like she was in such a mood.
"I would say, start off with a taste if you drink that thing," Gina mumbled, polishing off the cookie, "No more than half of the can. You don't know how your body will take it, particularly if you've never had one."
Gina had only once consumed such a drink, an energy drink that was considered "weak" in the realm of energy drinks-- and it had given her the jitters, only after consuming one-third of the can.

>> “It was just hilarious! Ugh, you know what, honey, LET me get that energy drink for you. After all, you’re right, gosh darn it. It is your birthday and you SHOULD have one. At least to try it once. Excuse me. I mean, it’s not like you’re going to have one drink, take off your shirt and twirl it about your head.”
Something about the abrupt shift in mood struck Rebecca. The kind tone of Agnes's voice raised the hair on the back of her neck. Rebecca laughed nervously since everyone seemed happy enough, but there was a hypothetical crackle of electricity in the air.
>> "I was kidding. I never get to drink energy drinks. You should see me when I get sugared-up. Or even shut inside when the weather's foul. Talk about peeling someone off of the walls."
Gina did not need sugar. "Knowin' ye, Ah can imagine ye as a wee bottle rockit wi' some sugar." Sugar was not much of a problem for Rebecca, but caffeine was another story. Soda was a rare occurrence for her back home, but when she did partake in it, she became a buzzing crockpot of energy. An energy drink could not be that much worse.
With Agnes off looking for the drink, Rebecca spoke to Gina in a hushed voice. "Tae be honest, Ah'm surprised more boys dornt flirt wi' 'er. She's bonnie! Jasmine must be happy tae hae 'er." Despite Agnes's preference, unknowing men must attempt to charm her all the time.
>> "I would say, start off with a taste if you drink that thing. No more than half of the can. You don't know how your body will take it, particularly if you've never had one."
Agnes handed her a large can with the word "CRUNK!" on the side. The size of the drink was intimidating, but she wanted to prove to Agnes and Gina that she was tough. "Ah'll see what Ah can dae." Rebecca pulled the tab and the hiss of released carbonation surprised her. She hesitantly brought the can to her lips.
The drink was good! It was a fruity with a slightly sour aftertaste. The carbonation tickled her throat on the way down. "'At's tasty! Thanks Agnes!" She did not see what the big deal was yet. How long might it take to hit her? She disregarded the thought with a smile, asking, "Sae, ye wanna play a game ur watch a movie ur somethin?"
By the time that Agnes had returned to the common room, she was pretty much over how she felt about Rebecca’s comment. It was just a silly thing and she knew she should not really give Rebecca the full drink, she was not that spiteful. It was an innocent comment and that was all! So…instead of handing the redhead the energy drink as a means to revenge, she instead decided that it would be better to hand it to her in the name of a birthday prank! After all, everyone on their birthday needs to pranked at least once.
Therefore, that being the case, she would make sure that Rebecca didn’t drink too much of it. After all, with Gina already being a sugar fiend, and this drink being full of caffeine and sugar, she didn’t need for the two of them to suddenly go off the wall.
Gina looked slightly concerned but Agnes would do what she could to keep Rebecca from drinking that full can of energy drink. It was too late to take it back now but Agnes could make sure she monitored her friend closely.
>> "I would say, start off with a taste if you drink that thing. No more than half of the can. You don't know how your body will take it, particularly if you've never had one."
Wise words from Gina that Agnes simply had to reiterate.
“Um, yeah, Becca, don’t be a hero,” she said with a nod. “Just take a little sip to try it but don’t down all of it.”
>> "Ah'll see what Ah can dae."
Agnes winced. She really didn’t know what she was expecting. Maybe for Rebecca to explode? To suddenly take off into orbit? It was a pretty mundane thing and Agnes could only breathe a sigh of relief. At least it sounded like it tasted good but she was not sure it was such a good idea to try it. Especially when she had a living nest of insects actually living within her.
>> "'At's tasty! Thanks Agnes! Sae, ye wanna play a game ur watch a movie ur somethin?"
Agnes reclaimed her seat next to her new friend and shrugged. They did have a plethora of activities slated for them: movies, games, gossip, food, a cake, everything! But…where would three teenage girls who wanted to have a birthday sleep over actually begin? She had to admit that she was sorely lacking in knowledge in this arena. All she could do in response was to shrug her shoulders once more.
“You know, since you’re the birthday girl,” Agnes said with a nod to Rebecca. “I say that Gina and I let you pick. It’s you’re day after all and we have plenty to do and keep us entertained. So, order away! We are at your command.” She said with a beaming smile and grin.

>> "Knowin' ye, Ah can imagine ye as a wee bottle rockit wi' some sugar."
Gina chuckled and nodded at the observation, genuinely confessing, "Yep, that would be me. The mutant bottle-rocket."
>> "Tae be honest, Ah'm surprised more boys dornt flirt wi' 'er. She's bonnie! Jasmine must be happy tae hae 'er."
So Becca was in-the-know-- good. Gina didn't have to keep her mouth shut, then. Gina had never been good at keeping her mouth shut. Gina was about inform Rebecca that boys flirting with Agnes was a common occurrence on their outings together, but Gian's reply was cut short by Agnes's return. A canned energy drink was passed off to Rebecca, and Gina' warning was met with a similar warning on Agnes's part, and a nonchalant quip from the birthday girl.
>> “Um, yeah, Becca, don’t be a hero. Just take a little sip to try it but don’t down all of it.”
>> "Ah'll see what Ah can dae."
Rebecca popped the can open and took a swig. Gina watched closely, part-grinning and part-grimacing as Rebecca drank. Here went nothing.
>> "'At's tasty! Thanks Agnes! Sae, ye wanna play a game ur watch a movie ur somethin?"
>> “You know, since you’re the birthday girl, I say that Gina and I let you pick. It’s you’re day after all and we have plenty to do and keep us entertained. So, order away! We are at your command.”
"Yeah, it's your party," Gina agreed. Though, when that caffeine hit Rebecca's system, maybe a game would be the wiser. Gina flapped her hand as if to brush the notion away, "Whatever you want to do."

The taste of the drink was easy to come back to, Rebecca thought as she took another sip. She was not sure if she was anticipating it to taste horrible, like engine fuel or something. She just had to remember to keep conscious of how much she was drinking.
Both girls differed control of the party to Rebecca, which made sense, but it made her more nervous. These were still new friends and she did not want them to be bored with her sleepover. Taking another sip, she contemplated a movie, but the idea of relaxing under blankets with a movie sounded like something to enjoy later in the evening. "Well then, Ah think Ah'll pick a game!"
She shoved a small handful of her chips into her mouth, drank a little more of the can and got up off the couch to look through the common room's games. Most of them were the expected board games, and there were plenty of video games Rebecca knew nothing about. One box happened to catch her eye with colors and active, twisting bodies.
"Think we can play Twister? Looks fun!"
Rebecca brought the can back to her lips, but nothing followed. She looked through the small hole. Apparently she had finished the can. Surely nothing bad could come of that; Gina and Agnes were probably overreacting. She took the lid off the box and started spreading the mat out. "Let's play! Though someone'll have tae explain th' rules to meh."
Gina agreed with her. Agnes nodded as she turned her attention back to Rebecca. Wait…was that another sip? She sighed. She needed to more closely monitor that girl otherwise she’s going to suddenly be running around the room like the energizer bunny. But it was the girl’s birthday and Agnes didn’t want to appear like she was policing it. She was her friend and she wanted to her to have a good time. After all, it was just one energy drink. There was doubt that she would taking drinking that thing too far and who knows, maybe Rebecca will have some kind of immunity to it?
Wait…was that another sip? Agnes groaned.
Rebecca had gone off to go through their games. As she did she smirked over at Gina as she snagged a bag of chips. One chip crunched in her mouth…followed by another as Rebecca began to look over the games. Quietly she handed Gina the bag as she looked about the room. She was surprised that not more of the girls had shown up.
She was about to voice this when suddenly she heard Rebecca cry out in triumph that she found something that they could play.
>> "Think we can play Twister? Looks fun!"
Agnes blinked. The second that she spied the box that Rebecca had displayed she felt a blush want to creep up over her cheeks. Though she had never played the game (she was sure that her parents had told her plenty about the evils of such a game) Agnes had seen a commercial or two about it. Even one of her friends from high school had talked about how lame it was. But Agnes didn’t think it was lame. Instead she saw it as something to fear.
The theme song began to play in her head…
There’s excitement going on…
There’s a party going down…
She imagined she, Rebecca, and Gina all splayed out on the floor, twisting in and amongst one another as they tried to play the game. She was not too worried about Gina, but Rebecca. The very of idea of writhing around in twisted knots around the ground, arms entangled, bodies far too close, the accidentally brushes of skin-to-skin as they attempted to reach for the correct colored spots…
Left hand red! Right foot blue!
Bodies moving to the Twister Groove!
A misstep and suddenly their bodies would fall upon each other. Blue eyes would lock onto green and blue, red and dark hair would briefly mix as they attempted to right themselves up, lips stretched into a giggling, shy, then maybe nervous, laughter…
Twister!
The Hot Spot!!
>> "Let's play! Though someone'll have tae explain th' rules to meh."
Agnes blinked. And immediately blushed at the idea. She opened her mouth to say something but instead spent a second or two coughing as left over potato chip crumbs tickled her throat. She plucked up a bottle of water, took a sip, and waved to the two girls that she was fine. After a second she sighed and just chuckled.
“S-Sorry, chip went down the wrong pipe. Um,” she said as she nodded to the game. “Pretty simple. One of us spins the dial and shouts out which colored spot we need to place with what body part. And we keep going until someone falls.”
She was SOOOO going to be the dial spinner. God she hoped that Gina wouldn’t call that position first!

Gina watched carefully as Rebecca took another sip of the energy drink, and another, her eyebrows lifting marginally. Was she going to suddenly sprint into action just like Gina would, if such a raw amount of energy were introduced to her system? Gina certainly hoped not, and found herself regretting even jokingly suggesting that her friend get hyped-up on an energy drink.
>> "Well then, Ah think Ah'll pick a game! Think we can play Twister? Looks fun!"
Gina's smile faltered a bit. Oh, Twister-- it was a fantastic game, if wings weren't always getting in the way. Ginas' wings were far too bulky, but... Twister was doable, just uncomfortable. It was Rebecca's wish, too. Gina watched as Rebecca attempted to take a sip, only to find the can empty. Should give whoever she was competing with an edge-- Rebecca would be so twtichy, she'd probably fall. Agnes went into a coughing fit, and Gina thought little of it.
>> “S-Sorry, chip went down the wrong pipe. Um... Pretty simple. One of us spins the dial and shouts out which colored spot we need to place with what body part. And we keep going until someone falls.”
"Twister's great," Gina chimed-in, flexing her wings, "I may be small, but I'm an old pro at Twister, if I say so myself. Wings tend to get in the way, but eh-" It posed more of a challenge.
Except in Gina's version of the game, which was played with three older brothers, there weren't any rules about not sabatoging players. Gina preffered the tactic of yanking at ankles with her tail, or tickling, if the competition ever got too intense.

>> “S-Sorry, chip went down the wrong pipe. Um... Pretty simple. One of us spins the dial and shouts out which colored spot we need to place with what body part. And we keep going until someone falls.”
>> "Twister's great. I may be small, but I'm an old pro at Twister, if I say so myself. Wings tend to get in the way, but eh-"
Rebecca flattened out the mat, looking at the colorful circles she was apparently supposed to find with her body parts. Curious about which parts, she found the spinner; left and right, hands and feet. She might have to bend and twist, which did not sound like a problem for someone with her build. What happened when people had to reach around one another? She pinkened, but she could force herself to be more comfortable to win a game.
With the realization that they needed to use their hands and the spinner needed to be manned by someone, Rebecca frowned. "We need someone tae spin th' wheel, dornt we?" Whoever volunteered, they were stuck with two people playing in a game that clearly seemed more fun with three than two. "That's nae fun! Ah wanted tae play wi' both ay ye!"
Desperately looking around the room for a solution, Rebecca noticed a small pile of school supplies in the corner of the room left behind by a study group. More importantly, her sixth sense for magnetic fields spotted small spots of metal. "Oh!" She approached the pile, spotting one of the disturbances: a paperclip! Perfect!
She summoned the clip to herself, returning to the spinner. Rebecca fastened the clip at the tip of the arrow. "There! Noo Ah can spin it an' we can aw play withot a spinner!" She stretched her arms, limbering up for the potential game. Her back was too stiff as well, so she reached her hands toward her toes. "Are bolth of ye still ready tae play?"
>> "Twister's great…I may be small, but I'm an old pro at Twister, if I say so myself. Wings tend to get in the way, but eh-"
Agnes smirked. She could definitely imagine Gina being good at the game. After all who would really want to get in too close when she had her wings spread out. That definitely made the game harder. As a matter of fact, Agnes would not have put it past Gina to maybe, possibly…cheat a little bit. That tail of her’s…it could be quite devilish.
A glance to Gina and Agnes gave her the “I’m-watching-you” gesture and smirked. She would keep watch while she spun the needle to make sure that Gina was not cheating the birthday girl out of a win.
Her attention shifted back to Rebecca as she began to set up the playing mat. She felt better that she would not have to be the one playing. Agnes was pretty limber, but she really did not want to display that fact around Rebecca and Gina. Many times it was skill like that that had saved her life while she was living on the streets: slipping through narrow alleys, under fences, between impossible cracks. She had a good idea that she probably would have been good at the game. But she didn’t want to brush up against Rebecca, err…and Gina, that much.
Ahem.
>> "We need someone tae spin th' wheel, dornt we? That's nae fun! Ah wanted tae play wi' both ay ye!"
Agnes shrugged a little sadly.
“Aw it’s okay, I’m sure tha—“
She never got to finish her point.
>> "Oh!"
Agnes blinked and watched as a paperclip suddenly appeared out of nowhere and floated towards Rebecca. Suddenly she was getting a sinking feeling in her stomach. The redhead plucked it eagerly out of the air and quickly began to fasten it to the spinner for the game. Instantly she knew what was going to happen. Rebecca would manipulate metal, so…
>> "There! Noo Ah can spin it an' we can aw play withot a spinner! Are bolth of ye still ready tae play?"
Yup! Exactly as she thought. She wanted to look disappointed but she couldn’t bear to do it in front of Rebecca. It was her birthday and she really wanted to play so how could Agnes refuse her? But…gah, the last thing she needed was to for some stray thought about the redhead to enter her mind as they were playing! Agnes would keep strong though. It was just a game and Gina was there. What could go wrong?
She beamed and nodded.
“Um, sure! Sounds like a plan to me,” she said as she glanced to Gina. “You and your fine limber self, in?”
Darren Argo walked through the hallways, stomach grumbling mildly, feet moving with a purpose. He had been working on homework and studying so much he’d lost track of time, and had subsequently missed his usual dinner time. He felt vaguely nerdish for that reason, and hoped no one questioned him about why he hadn’t been around the kitchen earlier, or why he was eating so late. Telling someone he had been too engrossed in his chemistry text book…
As he neared the kitchen, he heard the giggles and chattering of teenage girls, and instantly he slowed his stride. Oh no, would he have to awkwardly skirt around them in his pursuit of food? What if they were the super social type of gals and forced him to make conversation? Darren’s cheeks reddened at the possibilities and he tentatively entered the kitchen, head turning the corner before the rest of his body, eyes scanning the depths of the room. It was…empty! But the sounds of girl talk continued, and his ears and eyes located them in the adjacent living room.
Whew, he could eat in peace.
He waddled to the refrigerator, not noticing that one of the girls was very familiar, with familiar wings and a familiar smile. He perused the drinks in the fridge, debating whether he should get a can of coke or sprite. That is, until his eyes fell upon a stack of energy drinks. He could use the boost if he wanted to continue his studying, he supposed. He popped open a can and stared at the pantry, pondering what he wanted to make for dinner.
Now, Darren was not an eavesdropper, and he did his best not to listen to the girls’ chatter, but one comment did pierce through.

Gina bobbed her head in agreement, smiling as her mind wandered in the same direction... it was much more fun with more people. With two on the mat, it was almost too easy. It took all of the sport out of the game. While Rebecca looked around for metal, just as Agnes was about to volunteer herself, Gina began looking around for extra bodies. There had to be some bored, random kid that they could use as a spinner. Gina looked up when Rebecca spoke again.
>> "There! Noo Ah can spin it an' we can aw play withot a spinner! Are bolth of ye still ready tae play?"
Gina spied the paperclip. That was ingenius! Now they could all play. Gina grinned and nodded excitedly, putting her hands upon her hips in an almost boastful manner. She was ready to kick some butt.
>> “Um, sure! Sounds like a plan to me. You and your fine limber self, in?”
Gina was about to deal a sassy, self-assured quip to Agnes, the smirk already on the young gargoyles' lips, when the sound of a rather blatant spit-take met her ears. It seemed to be coming from the kitchen. Gina looked up with a short laugh, an impish grin touching her face. Someone had certainly been broadsided by the comment.
"Oh yeah, I'm ready to show you how this game is done," Gina said playfully, glancing towards the kitchen with a glint in her eyes. Her gaze seemed to inquire, "Did you hear that, too?" And when she realized that they'd all heard the mysterious noise, Gina's curiosity was peaked. Was someone... spying on them? She moved over a few strides, so that she was still by the group of girls. She cast one glance back at her friends, then leaned over ever-so subtlely to peer into the kitchen. Within, Gina spied a familiar face. It would figure that whoever-it-was, Gina would recognize them. She knew far too many people.
"Darren!" Gina greeted smilingly, "What're you hiding in the kitchen for?"
Gina awaited an answer from Darren, if he offered any, before she glanced back at Agnes and Rebecca, and offered a matter-of-fact, "I met Darren on his first day here, I helped give'm a tour and everything. He's cool. Totally quiet."
The gargoyle girl returned her attention to Darren, and motioned for him to come over, with the brief explanation of, "Come here, I should probably formally introduce you and all. It's okay, Agnes and Rebecca are really nice. They don't bite. Much."

Another night in the mansion. Living here really put a wrench into his nightly plans sometimes. Well it was less the place and more the people. The last thing he wanted was any of them growing wise to what he regularly did. The fact that he'd kept it from them for so long was a blessing. So what was Drew doing wandering the hallways near the living room? Wasting time really. He'd been by earlier and there had been some setup for a party going on in the living room so tv watching or whatever there was entirely out. Honestly there was very little in the mansion that appealed to him at the moment.
So he figured he'd walk the halls a bit. Maybe he'd get lucky and find something. That led to the present with Drew waltzing past the living and deciding to stop in the doorway long enough to see what was going on. He was present just in time to hear Agnes' comment to Gina and to hear the answering spit take from the kitchen. A smirk played across his face. That was one teenage boy startled by girl talk. Or girl, could have been a girl too but Drew was betting on it being a somewhat shy teen boy. Poor kid.
On the other hand it was nice to see and hear Agnes being so cavalier. Drew recalled the way she'd been when he'd first met her. He also recalled the hellish entities that were supposedly her parents. So as shocking to the likely teen in the kitchen at the comment had been it just made Drew smirk. Gina addressed the unseen, from this angle, person in the kitchen as Darren. Score one for Drew. Poor kid was about to get wrangled into a slumber party with a bunch of girls.
Visually appealing to any guy but for one shy enough to spit take at a comment that mundane? Yeaaah, Drew was going to hang around see if he didn't need to pull the Darren in question out of the proverbial fire. Maybe literal since none of the girls present were slouches as far as looks were concerned. Drew was at least familiar with Agnes and Gina. The redhead however was new. He allowed himself to wonder who she was as he leaned against the doorframe and waited for the next act in the show.
