Individual Character's full name: Darren Holden Argo
Alias/ Nickname/ Code name: None.
Gender: Most definitely male.
Age: 15
Date of Birth: 06/12/1996
Nationality/ Ethnicity: An American melting pot. He was adopted, so he really doesn’t know the specifics.
Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: Manhattan, New York City, New York
AppearanceHair color and style: Medium brown, short, straight, and messy. His fringe is usually spiked up and tousled.
Eyes: Pale green.
Height: 5’5”, but he’s currently going through a growth spurt.
Build: Skinny and awkward. His arms are too long for his body and his legs are a smidge too short. He’s in that strange growing stage.
Visible mutation: None.
Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: He has a long scar on his forearm from a bicycle accident when he was ten. It was the first time he ever had to get stitches (although not the last). He also frequently doodles and writes on his skin, particularly on his hands and wrists, to remind himself of things or simply because he is bored.

CharacterPersonality: Darren Argo is an awkward kid. He’s quiet, nervous, and a little shy, but he has his quirky moments. Despite his timidity, however, he will stand up for his friends and family when he needs to. At times, he can be a typical teenage boy: he doesn’t think before he speaks, can be irrational and impulsive, and loves food. He has a blossoming interest in cooking, like his chef father. He is surprisingly hard-working and dedicated, and strives to do well in school.
Hobbies/ Interests: Video games, baseball, crime procedurals, sleeping, cooking, hanging out with his bros.
Job or part time job and description: N/A.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Spiders, even the fake rubber ones.
Special talents: Getting things done at the very last moment, spotting spiders, ignoring his alarm clock, cooking. And he’s got a pretty mean pitching arm.
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Good, mostly.
First of all, Darren could never get away with a crime. He’d get nervous and sweaty-palmed and generally panic. Second of all, his dads taught him integrity and morals. He knows what is “right” and “wrong,” for the most part. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t occasionally rebel or disobey the rules (he is a teenage boy, after all). He’s just not very good at it.
MutationsMutation description: Elasticity
Darren has an elastic body, allowing him to stretch, expand, and bend beyond the capabilities of a normal human. The maximum he can stretch any limb is 10 feet. He can also fold and roll his body, creating basic shapes.
Strengths: • Darren’s bones are gelatinous, meaning it is more difficult for physical blows to harm or break them. This does not mean he doesn’t feel pain, however.
• He can travel farther distances more quickly by taking larger steps with stretched legs.
• He is incredibly flexible.
Weaknesses:• While his is limit is 10 feet, it requires considerable physical exertion in order to keep his body parts that elongated. He will tire quickly if he stretches all of his limbs to that length.
• He cannot create or destroy his personal matter, meaning that he cannot shrink or grow. As he stretches or expands, his body thins to accommodate the movement of matter.
• He lacks the precision and skill to create any sophisticated items with his body. He can only stick to shapes.
• If he is cold, his body becomes more rigid, making it more difficult for him to stretch.
Secondary mutation description: Strengths:Weaknesses:Fighting Style Explanation: Step One.) Give them what they want, if they want something.
Step Two.) Curl up, cover your pretty face, and wait for them to leave. Or flee the scene as fast as you can.
Step Three.) Tell your fathers you walked into a door when they ask you where you got that black eye.
Pros for fighting style: Minimal injury and confrontation.
Cons for fighting style: Too many.

UnaffiliatedHistory Of Your CharacterDarren Argo was adopted by Blake and Calvin “Cal” Argo right after he was born. His birth mother chose to keep it a closed adoption, so Darren does not know much about her. Cal is a successful chef who started off small at a lesser known restaurant, but quickly climbed the ladder to become the head chef of
Exquis, a five-star French restaurant in upscale NYC. He occasionally serves as a guest judge on culinary shows and contests. Blake is a stay-at-home-dad, previously having worked in architecture.
Childhood for Darren was fairly typical, his fathers doting on him almost to the point of spoiling. Of course, the unconventional family dynamic turned many heads and brought much ridicule to the boy at school, the kids teasing him for having two fathers and no mother.
His parents always told him to keep his head up, however, and did their best to instill a sense of bravery and confidence in their child. The former ideal stuck for the most part (and the latter did not, at all), and Darren learned to ignore the teasing of his schoolmates, and they in turn learned it would not outwardly affect him. Save for the kids destined to be bullies for the rest of lives, many stopped. He even made friends, despite his shy demeanor.
Middle school brought a new level of hell, however, and Darren found himself trapped. He loved his dads but hated the ridicule they inadvertently brought upon him. At first he tried to fight his way past the mockery, picking fights with bullies. But quickly he realized he just wasn’t suited for playground brawls (one can get beat up only so many times). That, and Blake threw an absolute fit and threatened to take away his Xbox.
So he learned to take it quietly, pretend it didn’t affect him. And sometimes, he really believed it didn’t.
When high school rolled around, it became less of an issue. Darren kept his quieter persona and had a pretty average freshman year, making friends through his classes and baseball team.
And then one fateful day during his sophomore year, his mutation manifested itself. It was supposed to be a normal Wednesday. He went to school, got through the day alright, and headed off to his off-season baseball game in a good mood. His pitching was going great, until one opposing player managed to hit the ball and send it straight down the middle of the field. As it soared over Darren’s head, he raised his arm in hopes of somehow catching it. He figured it was worth a shot. He was surprised, however, when the ball did indeed land in his glove. Eight feet behind him.
The crowd was even more surprised.
During the following days, an immediate influx of bullying and mockery slapped him in the face, bullying far worse than what he’d endured before. Because now,
he was the direct target, not his dads.
Even though he lived in New York City, the Big Apple full of mutants, his private school was void of any other students carrying an active X-gene. It was him and only him. The mutant freak.
When his fathers found out about the conditions at school, they took action without delay. After a few days of researching, they found out about Xavier’s Sister School, a boarding school for mutants, through a mutant family friend. It was just what they were looking for. They pulled Darren out of the private school immediately.
“You’re transferring to Xavier’s Sister School, no ifs, ands, or buts. You start next week.”

Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Lydia RenardSample RP:“Darren, get out of bed! Today’s the day!”
“Mmmf…what…” came a groggy boy’s voice, his face buried in his pillow.
“It’s time to go to Xavier’s! Come on, we told the headmistress we’d be there by eight-thirty for your orientation, and we are not going to be late! Up, up!” Blake Argo pulled the covers off of his beloved son and started tugging at his arm.
“Cal, come help me wake our son up!” He trilled out to the hallway, still pulling at Darren’s limbs. The poor kid tried to block out the cheery sound of his father’s voice by further plunging his head into the pillow. He frantically searched for the blanket with his hands as a very cold draft assaulted his bare feet.
“Go away…” Darren groaned, rolling onto his stomach.
Calvin Argo promptly hopped down the hall and grinned at the sight before him. It was the typical morning routine. “Alright stand back, love,” he declared, mock rolling his sleeves up. He gave Darren a shove, effectively flipping him over, and then over again, and over again until…Whoops, it appeared he had pushed too hard.
“Agh!” The teenager yelped as he fell and made impact with the floor. At least it was carpeted. It was also very soft…and kind of warm…and…
“Well, he’s definitely up now,” Cal said, slightly sheepishly, “I leave the rest to you.”
Blake rolled his eyes after his husband and pulled Darren up, before the kid fell asleep on the floor. “That’s one way of doing things…” He mused, nudging his son towards the bathroom. “Let’s go, mister. Get washed up.”
Is the sun even up yet? Darren slowly dragged himself to the bathroom to brush his teeth, complaining to himself the whole way there.
“And make sure you look presentable!”
Shut up, Dad.
