The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"The little princess got a little bark with that bite i see. So is that all you got, or is there more?"
Neena tried not to, but she couldn't help herself. She burst out laughing. "From fist-clenching to flirting in less than ten seconds! That's gotta be a record somewhere." Shaking her head, and still laughing, she extracted herself from his grip.
"Sorry, kiddo, but considering the trouble we're all in already," she held up her cuffed hands, "adding 'robbing the cradle' to my list just doesn't appeal to me. Better stick with your own age group." Considering she didn't look like a thirty-year-old, that statement might have sounded confusing. "Besides, didn't you just say you have something against 'dogs'? Eh, maybe I just heard wrong. Hmm..." She stuck her finger in her ear, as if trying to clear it. With a shrug, she returned to her scratchings on the wall, and plopped herself back onto the ground, content to continue her one-sided game.
On the positive side, his attention was off of fighting with the others. At least for the moment. On the other hand, she'd probably need to start watching her back.
<"Hmmm.... I wonder if I can really do that?"> Idly she craned her neck to see if she could actually see her own back....

Michael watched Gore Carefully as he went over to Neena. When he ringed his hands round her neck he tensed up, ready to intervene, but he released her. Her quips got to him however and he started screwing around again. Michael had had enough. This ended now.
Walking over to the guy he grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him round to face him. “You now have two choices. Either you walk to the other side of this room and leave us alone or I drag you there.” Michael was more than willing to carry out his threat, as he knew that the guy could hurt him no matter how hard he tried. If the guy used powers he’d get shocked, and without them he had nothing to threaten Michael with.
(OOC: I'd totally forgotten about the goggles! Reading it all again, it becomes a hell of a lot funnier
IC: Ted watched as Neena laughed in the guy's face, and then went off to play naughts and crosses with herself. Michael seemed content to deal with the loudmouth, and Ted was about to get up and help, when he remembered that whilst the guy couldn't use his powers, whatever they were, Michael couldn't really stop using his. So Ted sat next to Neena, who was trying to look behind her in a rather odd fashion, and drew a circle on top-left corner.

Streak sat along the wall still listening to everything that was going on around here. He was very curious to know more about this mutant that seems to be trying to pit everyone here against each other. There was also another that he didn't know anything about and had never seen before. This one seemed to be staying quiet and out of the way. Streak smiled at Neenas' attempt to look at her back. He was glad that, no matter how beat up he was and how miserable everyone seemed, at least someone seemed to be trying to lighten the mood. He laid his head back on the wall and closed his eyes again.

Jason didn't wanna hit Ted he had different plans for him. And as far as Neena went what would it look like if he hit a woman, but then again did he really care. Now as far as Michael, he was perfectly fine with hit him as hard as he could and his temper started to get to him. Jason could feel this rage inside him starting to burn his the anger belting away the stone around his heart and unleashing his love to fight. Jason broke the grasp Michael had on him. Jason stepped back turned and with all his might punched the wall... then again... and again... blood dripping from his hand to the ground. Jason could feel little shocks from his bracelet becoming stronger and stronger. From the mixed pain from his hand and the bracelet brought Jason quickly down to one new. Then the blood stopped dripping but instead began traveling against gravity and up his arm. From Jason' fingers to right above his right elbow was nothing but a arm made of jagged rock. The bracelet burnt bright and hot till a small explosion happened that quickly cause complete silence in the room. Jason looked down and the bracelet was gone... Jason looked up. "Wow now i guess the humans didn't think of everything now did they." With those words Jason' hand drew back but was startled by the sound of the door flying open and the sound of guards out side. "Here we go again..." Jason said with a sigh.

Streak slowly opened his eyes when this kid started hitting his hand against the wall. He watched with interest at what he was doing. He saw the kid transform his blood and get ready to hit Michael. I'd be a lot more concerned for Michael if i didn't know what his powers were. Streak just finished his thought when the door flew open. "Here we go again..." the kid said.
Streak jumped to his feet ready to fight them off. As soon as he did that he realized that it was a mistake. Little lights dotted his eye sight. He clutched his side and steadied himself until the little dots went away. He slid back down to a crouching position and waited for the guards to come rushing in. He gathered what little strength he had left. If they attacked everyone he'd be ready for them, at least for a little bit. If they take just him, fine by me; if they try to take anyone else they're in for something they didn't expect. Streak thought while he waited ready to pounce.

(OOC: lol I'm sure we'll cross paths more than once in the infirmiry Gore. In the meantime, I hope no one minds me getting the girls started on their trip. PM me if I need to change anything. Thank you kindly.
Neena smiled as Ted joined her game. That was one person no longer fighting, for the moment anyway. Now if she could just convince Shield to drop it--
“You now have two choices. Either you walk to the other side of this room and leave us alone or I drag you there.”
-- Or not....
A quiet, annoyed grumble rumbled from her throat. Why did she even bother? She made an X under Ted's O, and turned to watch the show. When Jason began hitting the wall instead of Shield, her curiosity piqued. The guy had seemed so eager to start something. So why wasn't he? She quickly got her answer, and watched in fascination as his mutation began kicking in, and even more so when the shock bracelet couldn't keep it in check.
"Cool...." she remarked aloud, without really meaning to.
When he pulled back, ready to punch, she pushed herself into a crouch, like a cat. Since talking hadn't proved an effective distraction, maybe a surprise tackle from the sidelines would.
However, a surprise of a different nature proved to be more effective than anything Neena could have come up with. The door flew open, and arms guards began filing in. Half of them had some kind of rifle-looking-things drawn and aimed, but Neena had no knowledge of firearms, so she didn't know for sure, though she was fairly sure they were much deadlier than a rifle.
Upon seeing Jason with his fist drawn back, and no bracelet in sight, a group of five swarmed him, attempting to subdue and re-collar him. Half of the rest of the guards began pulling mutants to their feet and shoving them out the door, to be escorted outside to a set of waiting armored transports. It didn't hit Neena at first, but the guards were only grabbing women. One of them roughly yanked at her arm. Moving on instinct she pulled back.
And got whacked across the face for the third time since she'd arrived at the building. Then her hair was yanked, pulling her off-balance.
"OWW!! Hey, watch it!!"
"Shut it, reject!" And again she was hit with the butt of the gun. "Move it, mutie!"
By then she was seeing spots, even with the goggles on, and stumbled toward the door. She resisted being hauled off, though not out of fear. She was just really getting tired of being knocked around.
"What do I look like? A punching bag??"
"If you don't shut your trap and keep moving, you're going to end up in a body bag."
Neena snorted. "It was just a question," she grumbled under her breath, and joined the line being packed into the vans.

Streak watched as they subdued the kid with a bad temper. Then he saw them taking others that didn't seem to need to be taken anywhere. Streak stood up and said "Hey, why don't you take him instead of them. He's causing the trouble not them."
"Just be glad were not taking you where there going." One of the guards said, then hit him with the butt of his rifle. "Ow." Streak said falling to his knees. But he was ready for it. He stood back up immediately hit him with an upper cut, throwing him out of the room. Then five other guards descended on Streak.
All of them were hitting him. He was doing his best to firght back but with his injuries, which they kept hitting, he was slower and not as powerful as he normally is. One guard got smart and pulled out something that looked like a TV remote. He pushed one button and Streak went down writhing in pain. He tried with all his might not to let out a sound as they tortured him with the band; however, he couldn't help let out cries of pain every once in a while.
They finally stopped shocking him and moved off getting the last of the people they came for and Streak supposed they had finally gotten control of that kid. Hopefully they took him with them. That ass caused all of this.
Ted jumped up as the door blew open. What the hell? Are they finally taking us somewhere? But the guards focussed only on some of the mutants, and when the guy who flew into a wall tried to fight back, they used his braclet to subdue him. Ted was about to go help, when he remembered that he had a bracelet too, and would likely only make things worse. So instead he ran to the guy's side after the guards left, and checked that he was ok. It didn't seem that way, but there wasn't a whole lot he could do. He looked arnoud the room to see who was left, and it clicked. They only took the women. Why?

Raina was barely aware of what was happening until Streak was sent flying. She stood to her feet but not defensively. She was tired and at this point she didn't care what happened to her. The guards were filing in and picking out the women. One burley man reached out for Raina by the throat but she subdued and he pulled her in close running his tongue across his teeth. "You're a little butchy arn't you?" he ran a finger down her bruised and tear stained face. "If you wernt a mutie you'd be kinda pretty." he spat more like an insult.
"They got rid of her hair because it changes" chimed in another soldier who was approaching Emmy. (take it from there Em!)
"Oh is that so?" grinned the guard. He started pulling Raina and she went along but when he got to the door he stopped and slammed her into the wall. "If all the girlies are going to the same place..." he let slip "wouldn't it be nice to have a little fun?" he said running his hand along the inside of Raina's leg. She winced but didn't protest- nothing could hurt her now... there was nothing left to hurt.
The air in the room became tense. The guards were quiet. A few chuckles arised but no one said anything for a moment. The man still hadn't taken his hand off Raina's leg.
"You might as well stay away from that one." said a woman soldier entering the room. "Detective Rupert I'm sure has stuck a claim to her after the mansion attack." Raina's eyes flittered with the mention of Rupert's name.
"Ahh.. the ice queen." said the Man releasing Raina's leg but replacing his hand strongly on her arm. "We've heard stories about you in the camps and all your freakish friends from that school. These are some of them arn't they?"
The female guard was now in the center of the room. "Ok people" strange, she said 'people'. "we can do this the easy way or thehard way. Please seperate according to your gender: men against the wall and women here with me."
It was easier to comply with this women: she seemed like someone who wasn't too happy about her job and relluctant to do it.
Raina didn't see what else happened because the guard holding her pulled her out into a brightly lit hallway where mug shots were being taken. He pulled her over to the camera man and they took her shot- a shell of the woman she used to be.
She was finger printed again and her files drawn up.
"Yup, she's all set she can go to the woman's camp. Says here her mutation is based on her voice and the collar's taken care of that." said an efficient looking receptionist type woman.
"Yes indeed." replied the guard holding her taking a look at her collar. "seems to work fine."
He gave her a shove and they were on their way.
ooc: Ok, I suppose that's it for Raina until everyone starts the new thread- just in time too, I've got a term paper

When the woman, who seemed to be in charge of everything, walked in and ordered them to separate by gender Streak got up and moved over to where the other guys were standing. Even as he did this he didn't take his eyes off of Raina and the guard. He watched that guard for any more moves. Even this bracelet wont stop me if he trys to assault her. I wont tolerate that for any of the mutants here especially the females. Streak thought as anger rose in his veins. The guard didn't make any more advances and so Streak just watched with eyes that could pierce any human.
He heard all of the commotion that was going on just outside of the room they were being kept in. "Yup, she's all set she can go to the woman's camp. Says here her mutation is based on her voice and the collar's taken care of that." said an efficient looking receptionist type woman. That piece of information peaked Streaks interest because if all the females were being sent to the same place then all the males would probably be going to the same place as well.
Everything that just happened got Streak's mind working furiously on how they might be able to maintain constant or semi-constant communication between the female camp and their camp.

Seperated by gender? Why? But Ted knew better than to piss off the armed guards, so he moved off with the rest of the blokes as the women were taken outside. His enhancced hearing could pick up quite a bit of what went on outside, and something caught his attention. A female camp. So, they were all being sent to one camp, and the blokes were probably being sent to another. Oh, joy. So much for sticking together.
Natalie was roughly hauled out with the rest of the girls. She didn't even bother putting up a fight at all, as had her picture taken as well as more fingerprints. The receptionist spoke to the uard that was hauling her along, "This one's mutation was wings which she got ripped off. Don't know why they've still put the bracelet on, but heck, better safe than sorry with these things." At first Natalie thought the woman meant the bracelets, but then she realised that she was referring to mutants. Things. What had happened to these people? What was wrong with them?
Natalie was shoved along after Ted's friend, the bald one. Shame she couldn't talk much, though the little speech she gave earlier had wrenched Natalie's heart. Poor woman. She wanted to go give her a hug, but the rather firm grip on her arm seemed to suggest that it probably wouldn't get very far, and would likely end in one of them being hurt. So she mentally hugged her, not really expecting it to do much, but it made herself feel just a little bit better.
