The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tricity's eyes fluttered a bit as she picked up her head and the objects in the room started to clear. She felt a wave of nausea since her head was pounding with severe force as she leaned against the wall. A soft groan left her lips and she cleared her throat. Things were more in focus now. Sadly...
"They swore they wouldn't do this..." she said out loud to no one in particular and not that anyone would know what she was talking about. It was the mayor and the chief of police. They swore there would be no force taken against mutants who did not willingly register. They swore no one would come to the mansion looking for them. "Lying bastards."
Tricity didn't say much more as she looked around at the mostly familiar faces. At least they were together. Her hands were still cuffed behind her and she felt the brace around her neck for the first time after coming to. 'Electric shock? Won't these idiots ever get it?' Tricity thought with some hope. She tried to conjure up the electric currents that should've still been running through her from earlier during the fight outside of the building before registering, but there was nothing there. 'Who's the idiot now... They knew this would happen...'
"Is everyone ok?" she asked, turning toward the others again. Tricity noticed the woman tending to them who seemed so obviously a human, the word 'normal' could've been stamped on her head in big bold letters. Tricity scanned the woman over and saw a nametag. "You mind telling us what the ultimate goal for them is?" She looked like she might have a soul, but then why work here?

Neena accepted the goggles gratefully, and smiled at Shrapnel. She decided to simply sidestep the 'human versus mutatnts' issue, especially considering the kind act. She put the goggles on right away. It wasn't exactly a fashion statement; it actually gave her the appearance of a google-eyed cartoon character. But even the slight tint helped her vision to sharpen.
"Much appreciated," she thanked him sincerely, including for the offer of his jacket and shirt.
A small moan caught her attention. "Are we all sharing a room? Cause if we are.... I get the bed first."
Since everyone seemed to be bandaged up well enough, the jacket and shirt took on a new role. Carefully Neena tucked the jacket under Nika's head.
"Hey there. Welcome to the land of the living. Ya'll right?"
Nearby, Tricity also began coming to. Neena moved over to help her sit up.
"Is everyone ok?"
Neena shrugged in answer. "Define 'okay'...."
"You mind telling us what the ultimate goal for them is?" The question seemed directed at Gwendolyn. Neena felt she already knew the answer, but still listened as she turned to check on the newest unconscious boy and Deathstar, keeping her now-focusing eyes open for any signs of consciousness.

Michael was about ready to lose it. The man was a jackass, spouting off like that was helping no one. When he made the quip that Michael was fine and all the girls seemed battered he almost walked over there and punched him. He’d taken about ten times the force that anyone else had from guns and robots.
However, Neena was right and now wasn’t the time to be fighting, so he let it drop. Instead he turned to Tricity, who he’d only just realised was here, and waited for her to be brought up to speed and see if she had any ideas.
"Will you just shut up!" Natalie was on her feet, and glaring up at Shrapnel. "So you would prefer them to just leave us here to die? You would rather that they left people in here, bleeding to death, and not do anything about it? Because if you carry on being such an ass, they probably will! So stop acting all high and mighty, because you are in this as well, and just as screwed as we are!" Natalie was about ready to throttle the guy. All he did was make things worse for everyone else.
Deathstar was soon released back with the rest of the group, limping while she walked with her head hung low. Two guards followed her shadow as they escorted her back with the rest of the mutants. As they approached the gate, Deathstar lifted up her head up slowly looking around for Tricity and the others. "Don't ever try that move again or you won't have a second chance freak!" said one of the guards as Deathstar slowly walked inside the inclosure, she looked around once more spotted tricity and others, and started to painfully walk toward michael before collapsing on the floor fallin on her hands. She desperately tries to push herself up from off the ground but just did not have enough strength, she lifted her head trying to speak out but couldn't, she remained still and layed in the same spot hoping anyone will help her get on her feet.
Familiar voices surrounded Nika as she listened to them talking. Neena had graciously provided a make shift pillow for Nika using a coat. Without moving her head the cat girl just turned her ears in the direction of whoever was talking. She heard Tricity's voice pipe up seemingly out of the blue. When did she get here? Was I out that long? There was a bit of a battle of words amongst some unknown guy and Michael. A young girls voice also voiced her opinion.
"Neena, if this is the land of the living then I liked the quietness of la la land."
More mutants were brought in. One of them being Deathstar but she also sounded weak. Maybe they got to her too. Nika started to go along with many of the others in wondering when they were going to the camp.

“Do you honestly think any of us agree with this?” Michael asked, coming next to Deathstar and offering he support if she wanted it, “We would all prefer that this wasn’t happening, but it is. Wishing it weren’t so is not going to help us. Nor is declining medical treatment just because it’s being offered by the same people who did this to us.”
“What is the point of declining treatment? It’s just stupid. All you succeed in doing is becoming a burden on your fellow mutants all because you refused human help. I’m telling you now that if you fall because you declined human help when freely offered, I am not helping you get back up. So get off your high horse and let the lady treat your injury or stay away from us, because frankly the way you’re going you’re just going to make things worse for us.”
Michael had had enough of the man. They all wanted out of this, but they weren’t going to achieve that by accumulating injuries and not getting them treated. Every mutant here wants out, but there was little that they could do save survive and hope for outside help. He knew that they way that these camps were going to be built that they weren’t getting out on there own. They might as well be in the best condition they could be when help came than lying there crippled, but able to claim ‘I didn’t let the humans touch me’.
Deathstar accepted the helped from both of the young men, she grunted from pain as the two men lifted her up on her feet. She could hear bickering around her as she slowly stood up hardly maintaining her balance. Her eyes squinted at Shrapnel not recognizing his face, but this time not caring she continued on limping over to the others, she then nudged Michael to seat her near Tricity.
Natalie stared coldly at Shrapnel. Her voice was quiet, but the seriousness in it could not be missed. "Don't you even dare tell me to sit down after ignoring that exact same advice. Don't you even dare."
She looked about ready to murder the guy, so Ted quickly intervened. It's not that he didn't want the guy to get what was coming to him, he certainly deserved everything he got, but it would likely cause many problems and make life harder for evveryone else in the room, not to mention herself. He stepped infront of her, so that she couldn't see him. "Natalie, calm down. The guy's a jerk, don't stoop to his level. Come on, everyone needs to stick together." He lead her off to one side, and the two of them sat down.
Natalie went with Ted, and unexpectantly burst into tears again. "What's going to happen to us?"

Raina stood tall amongst them. "I'm sorry." she said very loudly to cut the tension. "I think this is my fault... I think I led them to us... It's all so obvious now." she was mulling the pieces of the puzzle together, and now she was almost sure Rupert must have known... she was just a pawn. A pawn in a life or death game of chess.
She took a breath and looked into their wide curious eyes.
"There was a cop..." she began. "A detective... he was the one leading everyone it seemed... or at least one of the main people for the raid." she paused, unsure of how to continue... unsure of what to cencor... and this point she figured it was time for honesty.
"I... had a lapse in judgement. His name was Rupert. I slept with him." the words stung as she said them out loud, her stomach churning. In normal circumstances... something like that would be too much information for anyone other then a giggly best friend. But at this point, they needed to know the stakes. "I thought he was my boyfriend... and I thought he loved me..." again, those words stung. "...but I think I was just a pawn in a much bigger picture."
Her face went blank and pale. it looked as though simply saying the words out loud were enough to kill her... her eyes filled with tears and the expression of hurt on her face was obvious.
"I think I led him to us. And i'm so, so.s-sorry..." at this point she began to break down and sob. "I was an idiot... I never thought anything like this would ever happen"
ooc: So, yah, Rupert didnt use Raina as a pawn, but I figure it would be a logical theory and give everyone someone to blame and make things THAT much interesting...

(OOC: Sorry for the length. Just trying to pass time.)
"Will you just shut up! So you would prefer them to just leave us here to die? You would rather that they left people in here, bleeding to death, and not do anything about it? Because if you carry on being such an ass, they probably will! So stop acting all high and mighty, because you are in this as well, and just as screwed as we are!"
"Am I taking her help? And for telling me to shut up you sure do ask a lot of questions. For the record I would have preferred that none of us were here, that the damned government wasn't was beating the hell out of us. that is what I would prefer. Do you honesty think we are here so we can be kept healthy? do you think we are here for our own good or theirs? I remember something about the U.S. being the land of the free, home of the brave? sure as hell don't look that way to me. And if they took that trash out of here it would suit me just fine. Like I stated to apparently to def ears, I won't be stopping her from working on anyone willing to let her filthy hands touch them. I simply stated she wouldn't be touching me. so mind your mouth when you talk to me."
Neena sighed as Natalie and Shrapnel continued to argue. The fact that both sides actually had valid points didn’t help in trying to calm them.
"Neena,” Nika spoke up quietly, ”if this is the land of the living then I liked the quietness of la la land."
”I hear ya, m’friend. Unfortunately, I think peace and quiet are going to be in short supply for a whlie,” Neena replied quietly, winking at her friend from behind the odd-looking goggles.
Neena placed her chin in her hand. Now Shield had joined in again. She began taking bets with herself as to who the next one to join in would be; Ted or Gwendolyn?
"Natalie, calm down. The guy's a jerk, don't stoop to his level. Come on, everyone needs to stick together."
Ted. Well, she lost that bet. Would Gwendolyn be next, or would Shrapnel pipe in yet again?
"I'm sorry."
Raina? That was unexpected. Neena blinked, listening as she continued speaking.
"There was a cop... a detective... he was the one leading everyone it seemed... or at least one of the main people for the raid." Pause, pause. "I... had a lapse in judgement. His name was Rupert. I slept with him."
<“Oooookay..... Too much information..... Interesting though.....”> She continued to listen.
"I thought he was my boyfriend... and I thought he loved me... but I think I was just a pawn in a much bigger picture. I think I led him to us. And i'm so, so.s-sorry... I was an idiot... I never thought anything like this would ever happen." Raina began weeping.
That did it. ”Okay. Enough.” Neena spoke up, without yelling, but it was obvious she was irritated. She turned to Shrapnel. ”You don’t like humans, or the government, and you don’t want their medical. Okay, fine, we all get it. Now drop it.”
Then she turned to Gwendolyn. ”You heard him, and I’m sure it won’t be an issue for you to leave him be. One less person to deal with right?” It was a rhetorical question, as she moved on to the rest of the room.
”Why is it so hard for you all to simply ignore him?” She indicated Shrapnel. ”He’s entitled to his opinion, and it’s obvious his head is hard as an adamantium wall. You’re not going to change his thinking. All you’re doing is making yourselves angrier, and his head harder. Let him deal with his own issues and take of your own. If you want her,” and she motioned to Gwendolyn, ”to help you, then prove you’re worth her time, by making her life easier. Help those who want help. Isn’t that fair?” That question was directed to Gwendolyn.
She took a deep, annoyed breath and blew a loose strand of hair out of her face. Her expression softened slightly as she turned to Raina.
”Raina, we all have.... ‘lapses in judgement’....” Neena decided it might not be appropriate to delve too deeply into that issue. ”But it doesn’t matter who’s fault any of this is or isn’t. We have to deal with the present right now, and I have a feeling that’s going to take a whole lot of stamina on all of our parts. No sense wasting time on ‘could have beens’ or ‘should have dones. You’ll just make yourself sick.” It wasn’t exactly the most comforting speech; unfortunately Neena had a tendency to be more blunt than sensitive.
Of course, the serious tone of her voice during most of her little ‘speech’ was off-set slightly by the google-goggles.

...About the time the conversation turned to sleeping around with New York's finest, Gwendolyn decided she'd thoroughly done her job in this room. Until the next mutant gotten beaten up and tossed in... she was out. "Rap on the door if you need me," she said simply. She didn't dodge the Shrapnel boy's persistent gaze, but she didn't make a big deal about meeting it, either. She gave the whole room their fair share of eye contact, and then she turned to leave, without replying to Neena's attempts at peace making.
As soon as they got to the camps, Shrapnel was about two burly guards away from an escort to the infirmary. Gwendolyn was going to do her job, and she had never intended to give the boy a say in things.
She shut the door behind her.
((ooc: Would you be up for a li'l rough-handling medical treatment once the camp thread starts, Shrapnel? *grins the grin of one who has sworn to "Do No Harm"*))
Ted looked up at Shrapnel. "Do we look like we are taking it well? We're beaten, bruised, physically and mentally tired, and about ready to just give up. The only reason we havn't is because we are stronger than that, and know how to stick together. We always have done; whenever there's a problem, we stick together and work through it, because if we give up, then we may as well become the people that did this to us, because we would be doing the exact same thing." He knew that as long as they could stick together, then they could work their way through anything. His mind flung back to the Iris incident, when, despite him losing control as well, they managed to stick together and pull through. They'd get through this. As long as they all stuck together.

Raina was quiet and secretly a little relieved that the others didn't hold her responsible... but it didn't mean her feelings about Rupert's involvement changed. "Whether you think it's my fault or not.. the fact of the matter is I was exploited for the chance to catch us."
She wanted to keep talking, she had been trying to keep her voice above a whisper, but it was about this time that the steady jolt of electricity coming from her collar from trying to speak was too much. Her throat was bleeding profusely and her skin was a dark colour. She could taste blood in her mouth. That was it. She couldnt say anymore for a while- it was too much to take,
She was glad for the chance to say her peace, but as she slumped down again to sit against the wall next to Micheal, she knew it would be a while before she'd be able to stand the pain in her throat again.
