The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vincent thought that he’d found the problem, and was so determined to fix it that he ignored Emmy’s barking. When he heard her growling and scuffling he assumed she was playing with one of her stuffed toys, and paid no notice.
It was only when Emmy tugged on hit pant leg that he looked down. Originally he was surprised that she could tug on his leg, she was meant to be in the playpen. That thought evaporated at the sight that confronted him.
Little Emmy, sitting there bold as brass, he mouth blood stained and a dead snake next to her. Vincent recognised the snake, and while it was not poisonous it was aggressive and powerful. Momentarily stunned by what Emmy had done he soon recovered and scooped Emmy up off the floor.
Sitting her on his lap he picked up a clean cloth form the workbench and wiped the blood from her face. “Who’s a brave little girl then huh?” he asked, bouncing Emmy on his knee.
“Jade,” he called up stairs, “I think you had better come see this.” Looking over at the playpen he saw the ladder that Emmy had built. “Clever girl,” he said to himself, and kept bouncing Emmy.
Emmy giggled happily as she was bounced on her father's knee, making happy gugrgling noises. She barked softly when her mother walked into the room, smiling happily.
Jade's mouth dropped open when she saw the dead snake laid on the floor. Sapphire soon followed and had a similar reaction.
"How in the hell did this happen?!" Both girl's exclaimed. Jade glared at Sapphire when she used a curse word.
"I mean how the heck did this happen," Sapphire corrected herself before she saw her little sister, looking happy as a clam. "Did emmy kill the snake?"
Vincent just nodded at Sapphire’s question, and the gestured to the ladder of toys. “She must have seen it coming. I heard her barking, but thought that it was something minor and so ignored it as I was working on getting the toaster fixed. When her barking didn’t scare it off she built that, climbed out and attacked it with her teeth and killed it.”
He looked back at the play pen with the pile of toys against it. “We need a play pen with higher walls.” Pushing a button on his watch Dreadnaught arrived moments later. “Dreadnaught, get rid of the snake.”
Dreadnaught complied and picked up the snake and headed outside. Once outside it whirled the snake above its head before flinging it out to sea. Vincent turned to Jade with an apologetic look on his face. “It’s my fault, I should have been paying more attention to Emmy rather than this stupid toaster.”
He banged the bench in frustration, which deactivated the electromagnet. At once the toaster was up and away before anyone could move. “Aww crap,” then at a look fomr Jade he corrected, “I mean aww darn it.”
Jade rolled her eyes, She kissed him on the cheek gently. "No worrie's love. As long as the baby is okay everything it fine."
Sapphire looked at her baby sister who reached her arms out to her. She gently took her off her father's lap and rocked her back and forth. Sapphire smiled softly, looking at her baby sister with a grin on her face.
"So you killed a snake? Well thats a good job there...hmm I wonder what else I could get you to kill." Sapphire smirked evilly.
Jade growled at her daughter, tapping her foot. "Sapphire no, your little sister isnt a machine, she only killed the snake to protect your father."
Jade gently wrapped her arms around Vincent and watched Sapphire play with baby Emmy who looked rather un intested. She watched sapphire roll her eyes and handed Emerald a bouncing ball, which entertained her much more. The little girl smiled as she threw the ball which the baby retrieved eagerly.
Jade rolled her eyes. "Great I have a daughter and a puppy." She joked, tail wagging back and forth.
Vincent looked up at Jade and smiled. “Is it really that surprising though?” he asked giving her a quick kiss. “We’ve got a tough pair of kids there. They’ll do alright.” He watched as Emmy brought the ball back to Sapphire and the older girl threw it again, but a lot further this time.
“Now Sapphire, that’s not fair, Emmy’s only got little legs.” He said with a smile, and tapped the button on his watch again. Dreadnaught returned and picked up the ball, which looked tiny in his massive fingers, before he gently threw it closer to Emmy. “Not so far next time Sapphire.”
Sapphire rolled her eyes at her father, watching as the little girl toddled back over to her. Emmy dropped the ball infront of Sapphire, letting out a small yawn. The Baby whined softly, looking over at her parents.
"Oh Nap time." Jade smiled, walking over to the baby, scooping her up gently in her arms. Emmy yawned as her mother gave her a kiss on the cheek. She reached out her hands to her father. "Oh this is new, looks like someone wants you to tuck them in today. She hasnt done that before....awww.." Jade cooed as the little girl whined for her father to pick her up.
Taking Emmy in his arms he set off towards the stairs. “Come on my sweet, sleepy time.” Emmy yawned again, and snuggled into Vincent’s arms. He climbed the stairs and entered Emmy’s room.
Laying the nearly sleeping child in the cot he pulled up her blanket as she let out one final yawn and fell asleep. Kissing her lightly on the forehead he tiptoe out and went back downstairs, activate the robot that would alert them if Emmy woke up.
Vincent frowned as he tried to remember. “She did feel a little warm, are you worried that she’d sick?” He began to worry what it was, what could have caused it and how he could stop it fast.
Some small part of his mind was telling him he was overreacting, but the rest of it was getting too worked up to care.
Jade nodded furiously. "She is sick, I can just feel it."
Suddenly the robot started going off signifiying emmy was awake. Emerald's coughing resounded throughout the household. She was crying to and the little one's whimpering was heard as well.
Vincent was straight up the stairs the moment the robot alerted them, hitting one of the buttons on his watch on the way. At the top of the stairs he was met by a medical robot that he instructed to follow as he dashed for Emmy’s room.
He scooped up the little girl and started rocking her in his arms. “Shhh, shhh, it’s alright Emmy, daddy’s here.” Turning briefly to the medical robot he ordered that it do a full scan to find out exactly what was wrong with his baby girl, before he returned to trying to soothe her.
Emmy whimpered softly, burrying her head in her father shirt. Little blue eyes followed her mother as she bolted into the room.
"Sapphire isnt sick, so I dont think she is contagious." Jade Said, watching the robot do a scan on the trembling baby.
The robot scans showed that little Emerald had a 100.1 degree fever and she had a cold. The baby started whimpering again as tiny tears dribbled down her face.
Jade stroked the side of the baby's face, muttering soothlingly to her.
"Vincent whats wrong with her? Does she need to see a doctor?"
Looking over at the robot Vincent visibly relaxed. “It’s alright, she just got a fever and a cold, she’ll be fine. I’ll keep the medical bot here monitoring and it’ll tell us if there’s any change in her condition.”
Kissing his baby girl he laid her back into the cot and took Jade’s hand. “Plenty of rest should set her right.”
Jade sighed in relief, tail wagging back and forth slowly. SHe kissd Vincent on the cheek, a small smiled on her face. "Good, I think it would be best if she rested."
Another small whimper escaped Emerald's throat as she looked up at her parents curiously. "Mmm...Ma...Mama.....Da...dada!" The little one exclaimed, "Sa...Sapphire."
Jade's mouth dropped open, looking over at Vincent. "She...just spoke! Emmy just talked!"
Vincent was as stunned as Jade. “She spoke…” he could hardly believe it. His baby girl was talking. “That’s right Emmy, mama and dada are here.” He grinned at Jade, they’re little girl had said her first words, and they were her family.
“She knows her family,” he said, squeezing Jades hand in glee. Little Emmy knew her family, he could barely believe it.
