The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: man this sucks... I gotta get on more to keep up with everyone. Sorry guys...)
Nail sat back in the crowd. He stayed on the dance floor, shifting with the music slightely, but it wasn't really dancing. Besides, he didn't feel like drawing too much attension to himself after such a bold move earlier. He never really liked attention in that regaurd.
In the crowd, he saw a big red version of the hulk dancing with the girl who had kissed his cheek. They looked like polar opposites, but they actually danced really well together.
"Funny how that works huh..." Talking to himself again... Nail could be such a wierdo some times.
He also noticed the cat girl who had addressed him earlier. She looked kinda bored, and was also kinda sitting out. She moved onto the floor eventually though, and started clearing a space for herself. The music began to pump, and streeks of light began to fly around the girl. The whole thing really made him want to move, but he kept forcing himself to try and not look stupid.
Eventually, he took a deep breath, and put aside his fears. He couldn't stand it anytmore. He had to move around.
Swimming through the crowd, Nail made his way to the opening in the floor. A couple party boys actually moved the circle back alittle more to give him room it looked like. It was actually alittle embarrassing for him that they knew what he was up to before he even started.
"Lets see what you got dude! Show that chick what you got!"
<Yeah, thanks man. Now the place is watching me.> He took a quick look around, but decided that wasn't a good idea. He decided to just ignore the crowd. Instead, he just focused on the cat girl and how she moved. His foot began to tab with the beet, then his entire body followed. He moved with her, also moving very fluid and keeping good pace. It wasn't as spectacular as hers, but at least he wasn't doing something totally different.
As he danced, crystal began to form along his arms and legs. They glistened in as the glowsticks flew past. He looked almost like he was glowing. This of course gave him an idea. He was still totally focused on her. He began dancing around her, making sure not to get in the way of the glowlights. He knew there was nothing worse than losing your flow in the middle of a song. Still, he danced in and out of the flying glow sticks, making it look like a strange kind of sparing match. Though he was covered in crytsal, he was still light on his feet, so he was able to move around he quickly and fluidly.
Nika smiled when she saw the man from the bar. The same guy who had paid for all the drinks for the night. She didn't feel bad that he hadn't said anything to her a few minutes ago. after all with a big red guy dancing people are probably gonna forget what their doing for a moment or two.
She continued to dance as she watched some other guys clear more space for the stranger. Not long after he was dancing and doing his best to keep pace with her. He didn't dance the same as her but the way he danced complimented her style. Then something happened. The guy started getting all shiny and her glowsticks reflected off the shiny surfaces now present on him. It made things much more colorful and attracted even more attention to the dance floor.
When Nail introduced himself Nika smiled. "Nice to meet you Nail. You're a pretty good dancer for someone who I didn't think even wanted to dance." She looked him over again. "Are those crystals on you?" The song finally ended and Nika also stopped dancing and took a deep breath as she calmed herself down. "You wanna go sit down?"
Nail smiled alittle still on his toes and jumping this way and that around her.
"Yeah, their diamonds..."
By the time the song ended, he was breathing pretty hard, and he really waned to get away from the crowd. He felt self concious in the middle of all the people. When she asked if he wanted to sit down, he nodded quickly, andhelped her push through the crowd to get to an empty booth nearby.
"Sorry I didn't answer you earlier, I was alittle distracted..." He smiled a very shy smile. He wasn't really use to this kind a thing. He was mostly a loner in his youth, but he was desperately trying to force himself to socialize.
"Wow you can make diamonds on your body? Sure doesn't seem to make it more difficult fo you to move. Nice dancing by the way." She smiled sweetly at Nail.
They made their way to an empty booth and sat down. Nail seemed rather out of breath while Nika was only slightly winded. "Yeah, I'm new here. It's my first time coming here. What about you?" Nika looked for a waitress or waiter so she could get something to drink."So tell me about yourself Nail."
"Well... Im actually from up north. Came all the down from the Canadian west coast. Had to get away to somewhere new."
Thta was a half lie. He was pretty bored of being in the same place for so long, but there were far more pressing reasons behind that. He was pretty good at masking that kind of stuff though, making it seem like no big deal. He rarely full out lied about his past, but he never really told the whole truth to anyone...
"I've only just got here to New York, and some guy told me about this place almost as soon as I got off the bus. Only been here about three days"
He felt alittle more comfortable now that he wasn't out in the open. For some reason he felt more at ease around Nika than most people, but he couldn't figure out why. He had to keep telling himself that they had only just met.
A young waitress made her way over, noticing Nika's glances. She seemed really hyper.
"Well hello there you two. Need anything to drink?"
"Uh, yeah I'll have a sprite. What about you Nika?"
Nika listened to Nail's little story intently. Her tail began flicking just a bit as the music picked up again. "Wow, you've been around then huh? I'm from Boston but I honestly don't know if that's where I was born or not. That's just where I lived for the last few years."
The young girl kind of got quiet for no apprent reason. As if thinking or remembering something. She shook her head slightly then looked back at Nail and smiled.
"I'm pretty new around here myself. I heard some people talking about this place so I had to check it out for myself. I admit it's a pretty cool place."
Nika looked up at the waitress when she spoke up and waited for nail to order his drink. She smiled when nail ordered a Sprite. "Make that two."
Nail grinned slightly. He thought it was kind of cute that the cat girl ordered the same thing as him. The image of them both drinking from the same cup with individual straws poped into his head, but he quickly shoved it out.
The waitress seemed to find it adorable herself, and Nail almost jumped at her high pitched giggles.
"Thats two sprites then. Be right back you two..."
The woman seemed to skip off towards the bar, leaving nail with a slightely confused expression. He turned back to Nika, shrugging slightly and smiled.
"I've never really been to boston, and I cant really say I've been anywhere ele for more than a couple hours... I never really stopped to see the sites much... I'm a badass like that."
He sat back in the chair slightely sfolding his arms, and smacked a 'cool guy' look on his face. It was hard to keep a strait face though, considering how dorky he really was.
Nika watched Nail put on his 'cool guy' appearance but it just didn't fit him and made her laugh. "I don't see you as being a Mr. Badass. You seem too nice for that." She looked at him and smiled again.
"So what made you decide to stick around here if you move around after a few hours? It must've been cause you wanted to dance with me huh?" She shot him a playful wink and smile and giggled.
Nika laughed again. "You're too funny. I like that about you."
The waitress returned with the two sprites. She placed a couple small napkins on the table and then placed the drinks on top. "Can I get you two anything else?" Nika shook her head. "Not right now thanks."
She returned her attention back to Nail. "Well, in all honesty I wasn't expecting anyone to join me but I'm glad you did. Besides, if it makes you feel better I'll dance slower next time how's that?" The young cat girl smiled again as she took a sip of her drink.
"Well, in all honesty I wasn't expecting anyone to join me but I'm glad you did. Besides, if it makes you feel better I'll dance slower next time how's that?"
Nail smiled and rolled his eyes. Then joined her in the sipping of their drinks. He looked back over to the dance floor, and saw that Iara and Abyss wewre still dancing together.
"Big red and little miss rubber over there sure look like their having a good time. I think I'm the only one here who isn't an expert at shakin my booty..."

Iris watched the unusal pair approach the bar. They'd been one of the pairs that owned the dance floor, so she wouldn't have been surprised if they needed to rehydrate. She didn't moved at first; she wasn't even supposed to be there. But since the bartenders seemed busy, she figured there wouldn't be any harm in helping out a bit.
"Can I get you guys something?" Her fingers were tapping the beat on her glass idly.

Kaz laughed slightly when Nicki fumbled with words, ending up with broken sounds instead. <She's cute, more than just in looks.> Without realizing it, as he was thinking those words, cute escaped his lips, though it was nearly silent. Her movements had gone fairly stiff when he first put his hands on hers and started dancing with her, though she seemed to have loosened up quite a bit. He could feel that natural rythem the girl had, he could tell she could move, he knew she'd look good if she really got moving. To get to that point would be something.
Moving both of his hands to her hip, he began to move her with the beat as he moved to her front. As he moved he plucked a flying cork from the air. <From a new bar tender, amiture.> Making it part of his dance he tossed the cork back at the girl who had launched it. He could tell her dancing was becoming strained as it seemed she was concentrating on not stepping on her feet, or his. Dancing close to her, "Would you like to do something that doesn't put so much pressure on you? Maybe pool, or air hockey? Maybe just go chill on the porch upstairs?"
