The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Iara danced back onto the floor and begin an intricate dance that only someone along her powers could follow. She let her hair fly as her hips went this way and that, unaturally beautiful.
Finally the bartender got Nika her drinks and she went to pay for them but the bar tender shook his head. "That man has paid for the drinks for the rest of the night." Looking to the man in awe. "Wow, thanks for the generosity. You should come dance with us." With that she headed back to the dance floor and handed Nicki her drink. Sipping her own drink and moving a bit to the music she watched Iara dance.
Suddenly there before Nika's eyes was a big red guy dancing. He was dancing completely differently than everyone else and by doing so people gave him extra space to move. "Wow check that guy out." Pointing in the direction of the new dancer.
Nail was pretty proud of the fact he had just grabbed the attention of every hot girl at the bar, along with everyone else. That had to have scored him some point. He grinned slightly taking his drink in hand, but was surprised when Iara placed a kiss on his cheek. He looked almost as surprised as the bartender, who was by now, dumping the gems into the cash register.
He heard Nika say something, but didn't quite catch it over the music. He did hear her invite him over to the dance floor. That scared him a little. He wasn't much of a dancer. At all. Not even remotely. But he wasn't going to turn down an invitation from a cute girl. Something about her tail and ears seemed to beckon him to follow her.
He followed like a good boy, and began shifting his weight around slightly. He was hardly moveing really, more like swaying. He looked pretty boring. He was lucky enough however for a big guy to come out and take up the spotlight. He was glad the guy was saving him from loseing his well earned "points".
After watching the big red guy dance for a bit she let her eyes wander around the dance floor and the surrounding area. That's when she saw the man from the bar. The one who appreantly paid for everything for the night. "I'll be right back guys." Making her way through the people she stood at the edge of the dance floor and looked at the man. "My name is Nika by the way. What's yours?" She extended her hand to shake his.
Raptor looked at them all smiling it was a smug smile why the smile only appeared on half of his face and the other half stayed as mute as possible he went to the bathroom and pulled out a large knife and quickly cut off every layer of skin on his cybernetic body the end result looked something more like terminator. Destroying the knife he walked outside onto the dance floor and then to bar he sat down at the bar "I'll take another bottle of water please," he said drinking the whole thing down then paying for it then watching the goings on people were glancing at him whispering about him

Iris ducked slightly as she entered the club. Not that she needed to; she'd already seen some mutants that dwarfed her. It was more a reflex.
A quick glance around relived her initial anxiety. There were so many strange characters packed into the place, from normal-human looking to more animal-like, she didn't feel so out of place. She wore a simple red T-shirt, sleeveless and high-necked, and basic black jeans. Her red sandals had a small heel, adding two inches to her six-foot frame, and her short blonde hair hung loose. Silver hoops decorated her wrists, ears and neck, along with the silver bracelet she'd been given at the door. She stood just off to the side of the door, taking everything in before she made another move.
The music had a good beat, and she guessed that the sound was vibrating the already crowded dance floor. She wasn't much of a dancer, so her eyes passed over it quickly. She saw card tables in the corner. Any other time, she'd have made a bee-line for the poker table, but this was a mutant bar, after all. Gambling with telepaths was not her idea of entertainment. Next was the pool tables. That might be interesting, as long as there weren't any telekinetics or the like.
In the end, her first stop was the bar. She stood at the very end, and glanced over the bottles behind the bartender. Hard liquor wasn't her thing; she couldn't stand most of it. She caught sight of a blender near the end.
"You do frozen drinks?" she asked the nearest bartender, who had two extra sets of arms and ice blue eyes.
"Sure thing. Name yer poison."
Iris raised an eyebrow. She decided to see just how good of a bartender he was. "How 'bout a Champagne Cornicopia?"
He looked at her if she was crazy. "Just a sec," he grumbled. He whistled at another bartender, and whispered to her. She frowned at him and shook her head. He turned to another, who also obviously didn't know. After two more interviews, the first one came back and shook his head. "Never heard of it." She didn't think so.
Maybe it was the music, or maybe just the unusual atmosphere. But Iris felt unusually bold tonight. "Mind if I make it myself then?" Without waiting for a response, she rounded the corner and made her way toward the freezer. She took a quick peek, and pulled out a carton of tropical sherbet. She'd have prefered Rainbow, but Tropical would work. Moving in time with the background beat, she set down the sherbet, and slid it down the counter toward the blender. At the same time she twirled and plucked a bottle of peach vodka from the shelf with one hand, and the Peach Schnapps with the other. She slid the Schnapps down the counter after the sherbet. But the vodka she flipped in the air as she moved further down. Two scoops of sherbet plopped into the blender in time with the music, followed by roughly an ounce each of vodka and Schnapps. She went easy on the vodka, remembering what had happened the last time she'd overdone the drink. A quick flick of the wrist and the blender whirred into action. She tapped back down the bar, juggling both liquor bottles easily, then placing them lightly back in their spots.
The cranberry juice came from the soda dispensers, so she snagged a glass, and shot a quick spurt into it. A bit splashed onto her hand, which she licked off as she headed back the other way, pausing briefly to wipe it on a wet towel. She flicked off the blender and poured the contents into her glass, swirling it to give it a yellow and red twisted look.
"And of course, can't have a Chamapagne Cornicopia without...." She twisted and grabbed a nearby bottle, "Champagne."
She didn't even bother with a towel to undo the top. She bit back a giggle as the cork popped off and flew into the dance crowd. "Whoops! Hope no one was in the way." The bottle was nice and cold, so it didn't spray too much. She topped off her drink with the champagne, a straw, and grabbed a lemon twist to suck on later. She went to pay the bartender, but he waved her away.
"On the house."
She raised her glass at the multi-armed bartender, who was eyeing her with a small bit of respect. "Thank you kindly." Still behind the bar, she leaned back to sip on her drink and watch the crowd.

Under normal circumstances, Nicki would have be unbelievably interested in the fact that there was so much going on in the club. Everyone seemed to be doing someting that only slightly had anything to do with anyone else but Nicki's attention was elsewhere. She hardly noticed the red guy that Nika wanted her to, she hardly noticed that particularly armored individual who was buying everyone drinks, she wasn't noticing a lot.
Except, of course, for the fact that she was now dancing with Kaz, who was telling her to loosen up. She thought absently mindedly that there was no way that was going to happen, that she was less nervous about being in an unfamilar social situation and more nervous about dancing with some cute guy but most of the words that would explain that circumstance seemed to have left Nicki and she was left with things that could vaguely be identified as sounds of letters more than words.
"Sh...cha....toof" was all that Nicki managed to let out before she felt Kaz's hand start to move her a little more forcefully. While she had managed to keep her movement going throughout all of this it had definitely diminished and Kaz was now working to get her back in pace with the music. Nicki tried to keep up, letting her body move a little more, but she was still just trying not to spazz out and trip over her own (or Kaz's) feet.
Iara watched the bright red guy do windmills on the floor with a smirk. When he stood she began to dance around him. There seemed to be two of them but she just focused on one. Still moving in her unnatural way she began to dance with him with a smirk.
Iara's move stayed in the realm of nealy impossible as she danced close to this new guy. He seemed to still a little bit but she didn't really care. Her hips pressed into his momentarilly before she turned just out of reach.
Nika watched everyone dance. She even watched poor Nicki dancing with Kaz behind her. The whole place was great and Nika loved it. She kept swaying her hips to the music as she sipped her drink. The cold liquid felt great as it passed down her throat.
She laughed sweetly and pressed into him again. Iara had to commend him on his effort, he was keeping up with her pace. She flipped her hair a bit and smiled back at him.

Iara smirked as his palms pressed onto her hips and worked herself a bit more into him. As the beat of the song began to quicken she was more than willing to follow his lead in the dance.
Before long Nika noticed everyone was off doing their own things and she was left to herself. Kaz was trying to get Nicki to loosen up and was showing her how to dance. Iara seems to have found someone who interested her; namely the big red guy. All four of them were getting rather close to one another as well. Nika was happy for Nicki and Iara though, but she didn't like just hanging out idly.
So, she finished her drink and sat it on a nearby wall at the edge of the dance floor. Then she went up to the DJ and asked if she could look through his music. He didn't mind and said yes, but not before telling her how good he though she danced earlier. To which she smiled and thanked him politely. Nika wanted to give these people in this club a show, but she had to find the right music.
Finall, she found some music she could dance to. It was Bad Boy Bill's Behind The Decks Live CD. Talking with the DJ, Nika told him to go ahead and play the intro while she got her space set up.
The DJ started the intro song and Nika went out on the dance floor and started asking if people could give her some space to move. She even politely interrupted Kaz and Nicki as well as iara and the red guy. "Umm.. can I ask you guys to give me some space for a little bit please? Thanks." She smiled at them all as the intro neared it's end and she centered herself in the opening on the dance floor she had created. Once again she got out her glow sticks and placed her arms down at her sides as she listened to the beat and waiting for the right time.
The music pumped up and thebeats were hitting hard and the second they started so did Nika. She danced in yet another of her raver style dances. Her whole body moved with the music. The glow sticks were constantly moving as she swung her arms all around. Her feet were also constantly moving. Her movements were fluid and quick as she twisted and spun and dipped. She was having the time of her life even though a large number of people were watching her.

Since it seemed that none of the bartenders minded her being behind the bar, Iris decided to stay and mutant watch from there. She pulled one of the stool around and perched cross-legged on top.
Her focus turned to the dance floor, where it seemed most of the action was centered. She watched curiously as a young woman took center stage, obviously a good danger from the way she moved. Quite a few others also watching appreciatively.
Out of the corner of her eye, Iris caught a flash of metal. One eyebrow raised curiously as she took in the cyborg's looks.
She scanned the crowd, checking out this most unusal mix of people.
