The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael returned the smile and picked up his drink again. He was beginning to loosen up, maybe Benny had been right and he did need a night on the town well away from the ring. He found Syn amusing; her comments about what happened to churches when she walked through them brought the smile out. Though as the alluring woman returned, he found his gaze pulled from his conversation partner to the vodka ordering vixen.
He was not entirely sure he liked how the woman was making him feel though – drawn to her – though the inkling that he did not like it was nestled as a near silent whisper at the very back of his mind. He looked, no dragged his eyes, to the bartender. “Could I have this on my tab please? Put it down as Raphael.” He was tempted to use his cage name, and possibly land the drink for free, but resisted the urge.
“Sure thing,” the bartender jotted down Deltoid on his list of tabs, large enough for anyone who cared to look to see. It was likely how Raphael got away without being carded in the first place.
“Thanks,” Raphael rolled his eyes at what the bartender had written and swung his gaze, passingly, over Syn and the vixen, letting it settle on the dancers on the floor… he was going back to looking like a fish out of water, but felt that was better than staring at the curvy bits of the nicely dressed woman Syn was talking to.
Fiona smiled when she heard Syn speak. She went to take a long gulp of her vodka, but ended up choking on it when she heard Syn mention churches again. Stopping to laugh, she resumed drinking until Syn motioned to her. When Syn asked her name, Fiona was able to turn and look at Syn directly without seeming odd, and made eye contact.
"Aphrodite... That's a nice one..." she giggled, and never broke eye contact. "However, my name is Fiona. Fiona Ciapercelli of the Krihakov Performing Tour, at your service--beautiful."
Drinking again, she looked away at the bartender for a refill. Turning back, she eyed the woman's features, and noticed they had a lot of youth to them.
"Either I'm crazy, or you're a tad bit too young to be drinking, no?" she inquired, but meant no harm. "You just look like you're nineteen or something. It's quite lovely." she finished, and returned to her new drink.
Looking over at the man, she motioned. "And you handsome? Your name is Raphael, correct? I once had a guy named Raphael propose marriage. Kind of looked like you, but he was Spanish... And Spanish men tend to be dogs." Winking, she smiled. "You don't seem Spanish though."
Turning to Syn, she asked another question. "I'm sorry, but missed your name. What was it?"
Not skipping a beat from Fiona's questions and comments Syn continued. "I go by Syn and yeah I'm probably too young to be drinking but no one seems to mind. Besides, I'm seventeen not nineteen but thanks for the compliment." Syn smiled back at Fiona and gauged her reactions after hearing Syn's age.
Raphael turned his gaze from dance floor to Fiona with a smile, carefully keeping his gaze gentlemanly. “I’m not Spanish, and… I don’t intend to behave like a dog, or propose marriage anytime soon, especially since some consider both aforementioned topics to be under the same roof.”
He was American, born and bred… a mutt through and through, but he was not going to say that aloud. “A singer then Miss Ciapercelli? Or does your tour do other things?”
He looked over at Syn as she relayed her age, a year younger than himself… which he found surprising, he had thought she was at least his own age, if not a year older, as Fiona had guessed. “What is it you do Syn? Other than hit the clubs that is…”

"Sim! Another one of my father's favorites! Brazil produces such beautiful music."
She smiled and looked up at him.
"Can you swing dance? I haven't met the lady up to the challenge of dancing with me at the level I could bring to the table, I guess the strength would have something to do with that though."
She looked at him as if she could never believe that anyone would ask such a question. She stood up and straightened out the skirt of her dress.
"Not only have I been swinging since I was six but right now. We're going to." She extended a hand. "Lets go Red. We'll see if I show you up." Her smile was just as cocky.
Now Syn was the center of attention and that made her smile. Even though it was her age that got the attention she didn't care. Now talking to both Raphael and Fiona at the same time. "I heard it was a cool place to be so I wanted to check it out and see what sort of people were here."
Looking at Fiona directly now. "You're not old at all. In fact you're beautiful."
When Fiona pointed out one of Abyss' clones coming over Syn turned back to face Raphael and Fiona and rolled her eyes. "That's just part of my older brother."
"No I'm not in trouble yet and I'm pretty sure I could handle myself if I were. Did Abyss send you over to check on me?" Syn somewhat snapped at Mars not really meaning to but in an annoyed younger sister fashion.
Raphael looked to the largish red man Fiona had pointed out and let his mind do a little cartwheel when Syn said it was part of her brother. The man certainly looked whole enough to him. He watched Mars size him up, he knew the look, he got it every time he stepped into the ring, if not before. It was possible he wanted to tango a bit, but... the rules posted for the club explicitly forbid it. Raphael made a judgment call, and figured that was likely what kept the large red man at bay, from starting something with either of them. He was fine with that anyways, he was here to 'relax' not fight someone.
Raphael lifted his glass and sipped some more of his drink, waiting for Syn to conclude her business with part of her sibling.
"Well, Thanks for offering to beat people up for me but I don't need that right now thanks." Looking to Raphael and then Fiona she smiled at them both. "Don't worry no one is getting out of line over here. If they were then you'd know it." Syn also looked to see what Abyss was doing on the dance floor for a moment. "Looks like he's got himself a girl. It's about time."

" I was born that way. See cheesy can be good."
"Horray for queso."
She giggled and watched him follow her moves. She loved swing dancing as a child, it always felt as if she were flying and with her new tall partner she really soared. Her hair flew around as she was lifted and swung. Her powers made the whole process cake. She hadn't even worked up a sweat yet. She gave him a smirk that said "bring it on."

As the dance went on Iara gave Abyss total control. She relaxed and let go as she closed her eyes and lost herself in the music. She was spinning and turning and she couldn't hide the giggles. Her body was completely in for it and took everymove as if it was made specifiacally for her.
"Don't worry if I need help I'll call. I promise." Syn then turned back to Raphael and Fiona. So where were we? Oh yeah. You two were amazed by my age, but is age really all that important when you're out to have fun?" Syn looked at both of them carefully and smiled.
"Not really..." he said, and gave a shrug. Surprised, yes, amazed...no.... "Actually, I was wondering what you did, as in... job? or do you live with..." He gestured to the red fellow on the dance floor. Raphael tossed the rest of his drink back and set it on the bar. "And what did you mean by 'part of'?"
