The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael sighed softly, he did not need relaxation. He did not need to let go. Or so he thought. He did, however, think he needed more time to train and hone himself for future fights in the ring. Benny, however, had insisted his ‘prize’ fighter take time off and go out on a night on the town. Benny’s treat of course, and Benny recommended a place where Raphael would feel more at home with others of ‘his kind’. A club specifically opened for them, and designed as a neutral ground for all walks of mutants. He dressed himself in his ‘civvies’, a pair of loose blue jeans, dark blue almost black t-shirt which lacked any kind of design, and a loose overshirt with a design of dark blue and silver flames coursing over it. He was not trying to impress anyone, just going along with what Benny had said.
He walked up towards the entrance of the club, sighing softly at the buff bouncers that looked insistent that no one be let in. As he approached, they gave him one look, exchanged a couple words and the right hand one stepped aside and opened the door for him. “Welcome Deltoid, nice fight last week, eh?”
Raphael shrugged and passed through the door without a word. He stopped just inside the door, looking around the club. Loud music, large crowd, exactly what he had expected. He half hoped that more people would not recognize him for the underground cage-fighter he was. He moved across the room to the bar and took one of the few open seats, next to Syn, and waved to the tender.
“What’s a good drink you’d recommend?” he directed the question at the tender, but had certainly said it loud enough that it might have been interpreted as being for Syn.
Fiona had always been one for parties--and that was what she had heard Club Evolution was. That night she had worn a black silk blouse with a waist cincher, tight leather pants, and Victorian style lace-up boots that came only to her ankles. She had left her usual black leather belt, but her leather cord with her rectangular prism hung about her neck, the prism resting against her ample cleavage. As she approached the door she adjusted her curly red hair. Her hair was in a half ponytail with a very intricate pewter and pearl brooch holding it up. She had been in a 'class red' mood.
Looking her over for a minute, the doormen looked at one another. "Pardon me, boys, may I pass?" she asked, infusing her charm. They immediately opened the doors for her. Turning back, she made sure to try and end her effect with a stern "Thank you very much. Return to your posts." She made sure they had forgotten about her and strolled in. Looking around, she noticed the stares of quite a number of men, and she flashed a smile. Two of them came walking up already, but she made sure to break eye contact and kept walking to the bar. The two men looked confused and resumed dancing, with rather angry dates.
"Apple Martini... " she said confidently, and the bartender smiled brightly. "Anything for you, ma'am..." he replied with a very interested lean towards her, and set to it. She smiled, but at the corner of her mouth there was a slight frown. She wished she could just go about one night doing the interaction the old fashioned way. Looking to her right, she noticed two attractive people, a woman with alarming hair that complimented her gorgeously and a handsome man that seemed almost familiar to her. Had she seen him before?
Getting her drink, she said another stern thanks and began to drink it. As she turned away however, she accidentally nudged the woman beside her.
"Pardon me, sorry." she said, and tried to contain her power.
While waiting to either get her drink or be asked her age Syn sat on the stool and looked around. People were moving around everywhere and they all seemed to be having fun. Syn decided to make sure she got her drink by asking the tender how much her rum and coke was going to cost. The answer she got was that some guy had paid for everyone's drinks so it was free and her drink was soon placed in front of her.
She had taken a couple sips of her drink when a cute guy sat next to her and asked what drinks she recommended. Syn looked the guy over a bit before answering his question. "Well, I'm having a rum and coke and that's pretty good. So I suppose it depends on what you like." She smiled at him but her smile was interrupted when she was bumped from the other side. Turing to face whoever it was that bumped her Syn saw a very attractive woman. She was well dressed and Syn liked how the woman was dressed in fact. She had some similar clothes but she had decided to wear more comfortable clothes tonight. The woman appologized for bumping Syn. "It's alright. I like your outfit."
Fiona blushed and smiled, but concentrated on controlling the smile. "Thanks, I love yours too." she said, and made a notion as though to let the woman continue talking to the other man. She felt slightly embarrassed for interrupting, as she was never one to take advantage of situations like that. Turning back to the dance scene, she swayed intently with the music. She loved the pulsating and thumping beat that only house music could deliver. Finishing her Martini, she set the glass down and walked to the dancefloor. Making eye contact with three men, she noticed them leave and walk her way.
"Hello, care to dance?" she asked joyously, and all three circled around her.
"What's your name?" asked the first.
"Who're you with?" asked the second.
The third simply oggled. Looking to them, she said something that came to mind all of a sudden. With a laugh she replied: "My name... is Siren." All three men danced around her and soon, Fiona's emotions got pumping. She felt the surge that only dancing could bring her, and she used the natural talent she had always had, and with one man behind her and two in front, she felt the center of attention and for once wasn't second guessing herself. This was her home.
Raphael glanced at Syn as she answered the question he had posed for the tender. He gave her the ‘once over’ seeing that she had also dressed comfortably rather than to impress. “I honestly don’t know what I like. This is not exactly…” he shrugged some. He kind of looked like a fish out of water in the club, unsure of what to do or where to go. “So, you recommend a rum and coke, is it sweet?”
He wanted the drink for something to do, not to get drunk, he knew that he was next to impossible to get drunk. He watched Syn turn away to address the other woman, one dressed to impress. He let his gaze linger a moment longer as she spoke, though closed his eyes and shook his head, clearing thoughts out and tuning into the sound of the club scene once more. Before long he direct his head in the direction of the tender and opened his eyes. “Rum and coke… I’ll take the Lady’s advice.”
He turned away from the bar and looked back towards Syn, and found the alluring woman had walked away. He resisted the impulse to look for her and kept his gaze centered on Syn. He held out his hand to her, figuring his stare would probably begin to make her think he was a pervert or something, best to break the ice now. “Raphael.”
Nail saw the puck coming and tried to get it. He was almost possitive he would reflect it back, but to his horror, he saw it pass by his pattle at a wierd angle, bounce off the wall and shoot into his net.
Nail heaved a heavy sigh. Not only was she a better dancer than him, she was kicking his ass at air hockey. <Is this how first impressions supposed to work?"
The lizard man Nika had pointed out walked over beside Nail and looked a the scoreboard.
"Dude, you suck"
Nail nearly tripped over himself when he said that.
"I DO NOT! SHE'S JUST REALLY GOOD!"
He was making an entire fool out of himself, and he really couldn't help it. With another sigh, he put the puck on the table, and sent it bouncing from wall to wall in her direction again.
Smiling back at the woman when her own outfit was complimented Syn then watched the woman get a somewhat uncomfortble look and head off for the dance floor. Syn found herself watching the woman all the way to the dance floor until she was surrounded by three men.
Turning back to the man next to her she listend to him roder a rum and coke as well. "Yeah it's kind of a sweet drink." She then saw the guy offer his hand and introduce himself. She accepted his hand and shook it. "My name is Aelly but I prefer to be called Syn."
After taking another sip of her drink she continued to break the ice. Afterall, Syn was never shy with words. "So you think that other girl that was just here is pretty hot huh? I saw you watching her. You were almost drooling." She smiled and giggled softly.
Fiona continued to dance, letting the bass guide her. She was so fluent and graceful in switching her three partners around it seemed like it was all planned out, like a routine. "Siren, you're amazing!" said one of the men, and Fiona laughed freely. "You're the one who makes me amazing." she replied, and with that switched to having another man behind her and the previous in front. Looking to her right, she noticed the woman from the bar looking in her direction, and without thinking flashed her one of her looks.
"Siren, I love you..." said the man behind her, and Fiona switched him to the side.
"No you don't darling," she replied, "You only think you do." Staring into the eyes of the man who was dancing in front of her, she bid him adieu and he quickly left the scene. Turning away to the one beside her, she also dismissed him and was left with the one behind her. Turning to him, she linked into his arms and danced the last beat, before the song switched. Saying goodbye to him was the hardest one, as he was quite attractive. However, Fiona knew that she really meant nothing to them, it was only her power. So, she stayed dancing in the crowd, herself being her own best partner.

"I would pinch you but it would hurt."
Iara smirked and ran her fingers through her hair a bit nervously for the first time of the night. She laughed at herself.
"Forgive me, my game isn't as on when I'm talking to someone I actually like."
She pulled the hat brim down over her face a bit and smiled a bit more.
" so whats your favorite...movie?"
She thought for a few minutes then smiled.
"I have two truly. The first is the scariest movie to me and thats the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I love the end where she bounces up all happy and he screeches at her in the alien tongue. My second is Don't Tempt Me. It was in three different languages. French was in heaven, Spanish on earth, and English in hell. It was such a funny movie. How about you Red?"
Raphael tossed a glance towards the dance floor, the woman’s effect was already fading from him. “She is quite attractive,” he said and then looked back to Syn. “Though I think her mutation draws men to her… that or the dress is just that alluring.”
He nodded to the bartender as he was served his rum and coke. “Syn, like as in the bad stuff that’ll keep you out of heaven if you do them? How did you land such a nickname?”
She seemed proud of her nickname, more than he could say about his. But, then again… They likely had come across their names by different means. He lifted the drink, “Time to see if your advice pays off.”
A smile slipped across her lips as Raphael asked about her name. Before answering him though she glanced back to the dance floor and saw the woman too had glanced back at her as well. She gave Syn a look that intrigued the girl.
"Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a real bad girl. So I probably won't see heaven anytime soon." She watched Raphael take a sip of his drink. She too took a sip of hers again. "So what do you think?"
Fiona danced and danced, but didn't break a sweat. Years of conditioning and training had made it so that her body was in tip top condition. Realizing her throat was incredibly dry however, she walked back to the bar and ordered another drink.
"Vodka on the rocks, please." she said, like an old pro.
Sitting down next to the woman who she had bumped into and her male friend, she heard the woman say that she was a real bad girl. That drew a smile to Fiona's lips, and before she knew it she had laughed a bit seductively. Real bad girl... she thought. Leaning against the counter, her curvacious shape was visible for all to see, and her eyes shot intrigue where ever they went.
”Bad ‘nuff that even those religions that preach eternal forgiveness wouldn’t take you?” He took another sip from his drink and set it on the bar. As he looked back to Syn he noticed her looking at the woman from earlier.
“I take it you found her alluring as well?” He shrugged to her question. “It’s okay, though I think I’d prefer a regular coke. I mean, it’s not like this stuff will get me drunk or some such thing. Worthy of trying though, don’t get me wrong.”

" don't worry about game, I just like being cheesy a little sometimes. and your game is just fine. well, I of course am a Tarintino kind of guy, with pulp fiction being at the top of the list. There is a certain truth to the characters that you can't find in other places, if I get a second movie of choice it would be memento, its a movie about a man with no long term memory trying to avenge his wife. Body snatchers is good but, I always have trouble actually getting scarred by horror movies, I want to see one that actually scares me. Don't tempt me? I haven't seen it but it sounds like it could be a fun watch, we should definitely watch it sometime."
"WE should. I like Tarintino too. From Dusk till Dawn was great as well as the Kill Bill's. I like your taste."
" how about music?"
"Music, now you talk to mi alma. I love many forms of music especially those with a strong beat. I'm a big fan of underground hip hop and trip hop. Portished' Dummy is one of my favorite albums. I also love music from the land of my father. When I was younger I'd sit in his lap as he played his old Sergio Mendes records. Then there's Juanes, he's a rocker from Columbia, I boutch 'la camisa negra' because of him. And so many more. But at times I would just enjoy relaxing and listening to some Celia Cruz or Nat King Cole. Jazz, swing, rock, its all love to me."
Syn laughed at Raphael's comment about those who preach forgivness to all. As she listened to him she noticed the woman come back and sit next to her once more. It seemed she had overheard some of the conversation between Raphael and Syn. The woman laughed shortly after hearing Syn tell Raphael about being a bad girl.
"Yeah I don't even go into churches cause they might burn down around me." Syn laughed as she imagined such a thing. "Well, it's ok you can stick to regular coke." Looking back again at the woman sitting next to her Syn answered Raphael's other question. "Yeah, I find her intruiging and beautiful just as you and everyone else seem to."
"So what's your name or should I call you Aphrodite?"
