The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"So there's seven of you guys, huh? Wow!" Iris chuckled quietly. She sipped the Pina Colada, and smiled her thanks. "You're probably right," she answered to his remark about taking over countries. "Fortunately for the world, we have our own right here."
She tilted her head slightly, and held out her hand. "I'm Iris."
Nika giggled as she saw the silly lookon Nail's face when the puck went into his own goal. "Oh so you think you're that good that you're helping me?" She giggled again. Nika watched nail send the puck back in her direction and like a cat stalking a mouse she watched it bounce from side to side as it made it's way towards her until it was close enough and she slammed her paddled down ontop of the puck and stopped it. "What do you think about that?" Nika playfully stuck out her tongue and sent the puck straight back at Nail's goal.
Nail was surptised by just how much like a cat Nika was. She pounced on the puck like a cat in its prey. This of course left him wondering if it was a good idea to suggest playing at all. By the looks of it, he had set himself up for a rather hard fall.
"What do you think of that?"
The next thing he knew, the puck was shot strait towards his own net. With a flick of his wrist, he possitioned the pattle in the trajectory of the flying puck. The pattle smashed into the flying puck, sending it flying once more in a jiddering zigzag across the table towards Nika's net. It was moving just as fast as his first shot, practically leaving a blur of red across the table. There was a familiar clunking sound, and the puck seemed to have disappear from the table.
Looking up at the electronic scoreboard, Nail Grined. Apparently it had shot into her net, because it now read 1-1. He owed it all to her. Strait shots where the easiest to deflect back. He followed her example, and stuck out his tongue.

"All in good time, yes all in good time."
Iris' grin widened at Saturn's laugh. "Sounds like you have it all planned." She set the pina colada down for a momet, then pulled herself up onto the railing, locking her legs onto the bars to keep from falling off. She retrieved the glass and took another sip. "Mmm, thanks. This is perfect. You know, if your 'take-over-the-world plans' includes more of these drinks, the humans won't have a chance," she added with a quiet laugh.
“ Hmmmm, I would have to see with the guys weather they would want copies, sometimes they like to vary on what they want, but more than likely I think I could persuade them this once. When can you start and what kind of funds would you need to work at comfortable level?”
Iara licked her lips out of habit as she thought it up in her head. Her nails traced over the pool stick and she smirked as she seemed to settle on something concrete.
"I can make yours first in about four weeks, if that but I kind of want to take my time with it. You know, mi manifesto of choppers. As for the others, I can make simple tweaks here and there for their own tastes and I can get them all worked up within about 5 months."
She smiled and nodded sweetly as her mind planned out the bikes one by one.
"As for funds, thats up to you. I really don't need any."
Leaning over the pool table Iara's fingers began to chase the cue ball in a small circle as she listened to Abyss.
"I'm sure that they would like their intricacies, we can figure on price later. If nothing else, I suppose I’ll be going home with your number.”
Iara looked up at him with those deep dark brown eyes and smiled ever so sweetly. A bit of red waves had fallen into one eye and there was a glint of something else in her eyes.
"Well, I must say that you have earned it and there would be nothing else I'd rather do than play around with you and the design."
Nika heard the puck clatter into her goal. Looking up at Nail she saw him sticking his tongue out back at her. The whole thing made her giggle. "I'm letting you catch up. I don't wanna kick your butt too bad." Nika laughed some more as she pulled the puck out of the slot and placed it bakc on the table. THis time she hit it at a sharp angle and watched it bounce it's way to Nails goal.
Nail got ready. He waited until the puck was about to fly towars his gaol at and angle, then placed the paddle just in front of the net where the puck would fly in. It bounced off his paddle, and bounced against the walls again towards Nikas side of the table. However, it had lost most of the momentum, so it was going far to slow for it to make it past her. He watched it intently, waiting for her counter.
"Please Nika. The only but tat gunn abe kicked around here has a tail."

" I'm sure we can arrange some time for that my dear."
He seemed relaxed and as he slipped his fedora on her head, Iara couldn't hide the entranced smile that crept onto her face. She really liked this guy and she was sure he could tell.
She leaned forward and stared into his red eyes. Her eyebrow arched as he moved her hair out of her face.
Being playful Nika spotted a guy with a lizard like tail. He almost looked like a crocodile man. "So you're gonna kick that guy's butt?" She couldn't help but laugh.
She watched the slow moving puck as it bounced it's way closer. When it was about a foot away from her goal she rammed her paddle into the puck sending it at an odd angle back at Nail. She wasn't even sure herself if it was going to be a goal or not. However she wasn't showing her doubts. "I'm gonna take you down mister."

“So, what do you do while you aren’t volunteering at your local bar?"
Iris shrugged and smiled. "Not much, actually. I work on a ranch, so I don't get too much time to come and play at places like this." Truth be told, she felt as out of place as a snowflake in a desert, but she hoped it didn't show through. There were too many interesting people to get to know to be shy, so she tried to be more outgoing than usual. "So who thought of this place anyway? It's spectacular." She spotted two of Saturn's 'others' on the dance floor, and the rest and Iara on the other side of the dance floor. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves. She giggled a bit and shook her head in fascination. "Can you guys all hear each other when you're all out like this?"

Iara gasped and giggled as she was lifted from the floor and held onto Abyss tightly until she was set down on the lounge. She smirked and played with the rim of his fedora as he sat down next to her.
" Would you be disappointed if I liked you too?"
She smiled and slid closer to him and crossed her legs.
"The only dissapointment you could cause me right now Chico is if you told me I'm dreaming."
She had to let out a small giggle at herself. Her line was crappy.
She had heard other mutants talk about this place but only after hearing it from multiple people had Syn decided to check it out for herself. She pushed open the doors and walked inside. The music was pumping from the multitude of speakers placed all over the place. There were people dancing, others just sitting or standing around talking and still others playing games.
Syn was wearing a black half shirt with a skull in the middle of her chest. She had black cargo pants on with a studded belt and black and white converse shoes. Lots of people were checking her out as she entered and walked over to the bar. Calling over a lady who was behind the bar. "I'd like a rum and coke."
