Character
Personality: (How you character behaves, social tendencies, quirks, etc.) Gabriel loves to fly, it’s his passion, his one true love (At the moment) Being that he can fly under his own power, he does it whenever possible.
Easily distracted. Gabriel would rather be in the sky than on the ground, it’s just how his brain is wired, makes it hard to stay focused sometimes. Tends to be shy around people, knowing their eyes are on his wings first and foremost. He loves to eat, needs a high protein intake to maintain top physical form. Easy tempered, laid back.
Hobbies/ Interests: Flying through the countryside, taking in a bird’s eye view of the landscape. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Gabriel is claustrophobic. He can handle being indoors just fine, but being underground for him feels unnatural, and he will steadily get worse (Panicky) the longer he’s prevented from seeing the sky. Because of his good nature, he tries to watch out for those like himself and will go out of his way to help other mutants once he is made aware of their status.
Mutations Flight (Wings), Mutant physiology
Mutation description: Flight (Wings): Gabriel wings are natural, growing from his upper back and shoulders; they are as much a part of him as his heart or his arms. They span 17 feet from wingtip to wingtip when fully spread, very dark coloration (near to black) but with mottling on the exterior. He can fly straight and level up to speeds of about 90 MPH, but he prefers easy, lazy flying of around 25-35 MPH. Can turn very sharply at low speeds. The higher the speed the more room needed to turn. Mutant physiology: Gabriel’s body is naturally designed for flight. Low physical mass while maximizing muscle tone and power. High metabolism keeps him warm in high altitudes (Up to 20,000 feet) tough skin and a film covering his eyes protect him while diving, able to reach speeds of around 200 MPH when diving from high altitudes. Ultra-light bones, filled with honeycomb pattern tissue, making them extremely strong for the weight. Dense and well defined muscle mass in his upper torso allows him to lift and carry around 275 pounds aside from his own body weight, even in flight. Enhanced vision, allowing penetration of water refraction. He can see clearly up to 2 miles while in the air, on the ground is line of sight up to a mile.

Explanation: Gabriel isn’t much of a fighter, but if he had to fight, he’d probably grapple and drop his opponents from a non-lethal height. History Of Your Character: Gabriel was born to an upper middle class family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Life was good until just before his 11th birthday, when he started having pains in his back and shoulders. As the year went on, large bumps appeared on his back, seemingly unexplainable by his parents, though his father is a doctor. The lumps grew and grew until they burst open during his 12th birthday part, and the tiny winglets that were growing within fell free. At first they were wet and tiny, barely a foot one each side, but as his mutation took over his body’s metabolism jump started, and his wings grew to match. In just six short months the 11 year old had a five foot wingspan, and after rather reckless experimentation, he discovered he could glide short distances. As his muscles grew to support his wings, and his wings grew ever large. But with all good things, there is always a bitter pill to swallow first. Gabriel was elated to have wings, to be special. His parents fought constantly, usually over Gabe. His mother wanted him to push himself, to be everything he could, while his narrow minded father wanted him to be normal, even suggesting they amputate the wings. Gabriel distanced himself as much as possible, spending his time in the countryside flying around once he learned how to move and how to avoid hazards, and once his wings were big enough to support him. But the final straw came when his father struck his mother in front of him, both stressed out and at the end of their nerves. Gabriel screamed at him, but that scream packed an unexpected punch, glass shattering and blowing his father to his knees, clutching his ears in pain. Horrified by what he’d done Gabriel packed a few clothes in a duffel bag and flew away, leaving his parents to sort themselves out. Sample RP: Gabriel saw the woman get thrown from the truck, narrowing his eyes in sudden anger. Normally a peaceful guy, the injustice of hurting a woman, no matter her crimes seemed unjust and that he wouldn't stand for. He leveled off high above the woman and tucked his wings in tight, pushing both fists out Superman style. Plummeting back towards the Earth, gaining momentum as he went, his speed reached terminal velocity in a relatively short space. Only a few hundred feet above the dirt, his wings flexed out fully and he leveled off, speeding along the ground just high enough to aim the wooden bat in his hands. He didn’t even need to swing, just needed to line it up with the woman’s assailant.
