The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was funny really; Sam continued looking at the newspaper article before him and shook his head laughing. One of his old contacts from back in the day had sent it to him requesting that he’d look into it. Sam didn’t have many contacts from back in the day but the ones he did he held in the highest regard, after all there weren’t many that would let him hideout in a barn when he was on the run from a government organization. Casey was one of the few exceptions an older man in his late sixties who was easy to pick out of a crowd due to his large and defined stature.
Despite him being in his sixties Casey still looked like he could bench press a car and while he looked abnormally strong for someone in his age group he wasn’t as strong as he looked. He was a human, and one of the kindest humans Sam has ever met, back in the day during the camp scare while Sam was on the run not many humans would let a mutant hide out on their property, it only meant trouble but Casey didn’t really pay the threat of trouble much mind, which was why Sam was so willing to help.
”Casey?” Sam asked as he heard the raspy older voice of the former marine on the other end of the line Sam continued on stating he would in fact send a team to investigate the Roswell area a place notorious for Extra-Terrestrial sightings. A place that as of late had fallen victim to more sightings and even more recently disappearances. People vanishing from their homes in the dead of night without much of a trace of a struggle. Something that could have screamed two-things, one people were willingly leaving their homes or a mutant of some kind.
At least that was what Sam had thought; Casey and the majority of Roswell believed it was a U.F.O. of some kind lights were spotted the night someone disappeared. Either way it was Sam returning a favor to a friend a slightly crazy and paranoid friend but a friend non-the less.
----
Twenty minutes later Sam had a team of three in the War Room with a map of the city and surrounding area up on the projector screen. ”Here is where the latest disappearance was edge of the city, I want you three to start there and ask around for information I notified the R.P.D. that you were coming and they said you’d have their full cooperation.” he paused and then added, ”Oh, yeah this was brought to my attention by an old friend… Casey is... eccentric to say the least but he offered up his place for you guys to rest if you chose to, other than that his property is where you’ll be landing the jet. Coordinates are already programmed in there.”
Sam clicked the remote and the map disappeared and another screen with a few dozen people’s faces, ”These are those who disappeared, most of them are male of a sturdy build in their early twenties, locals claim it is alien abductions but I have my doubts, remember it is a tourist trap for alien fanatics so take extra care when your asking around for some information.” Sam looked down at the vanilla colored folder in front of him, a folder that the other three had as well.
”Other than the build there isn’t really anything else those who were…” Sam raised his fingers up and quoted the word, ”Abducted” he lowered his fingers and added, ”They did all go to the same high school and a few of them were on a football team but other than that there isn’t much else to go on… I need you to investigate and help the authorities get down to the bottom of it. Any questions before you lot take off? If not head out your wasting daylight!”

It was always a shocker for Shin to think that the X-men had a private jet. One that had auto-pilot. One that, apparently, he was flying. One that he was flying, with no flying practice other than shard flight, whatsoever. One that... he couldn't quite drag himself past that last thought, about him flying an expensive jet with no flight time or understanding of how jets work long enough to go any further with his thinking, or pay much attention really to anything Sam was saying.
"Sorry. I'm flying it?" He was? Accent on the "I". Shin blushed and frowned weakly. "I wasn't aware I'd been taught such a thing."
Maybe in the future, he'd bother Sam about teaching him how to do something he was being asked already to do... maybe he could teach Kealey, too.
Waitaminute, had Sam said 'aliens'? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the words streaming from the man's mouth...

For once, Kealey was completely serious as she sat in the briefing room and listened to Sam explain exactly what was about to happen. They (meaning herself, Shin, and Cafas) were headed to New Mexico to work on a case that was stumping the local police. This was her first chance as a full X-Man to go off on her own and help people out.
Apparently the town they were going to was famous for alien activity. Kealey had to scoff a bit at the idea, she'd never been much of a believer in such things. Oh well, she thought, maybe this would change her perspective. Probably not...but maybe.
Sam gave more details, and Kealey jotted them down in the little spiral notebook that would fit into the pocket on the front of the bag she was already mentally packing. There was no way they’d be wearing their X-men uniforms the whole time they were there. It was June for heaven’s sake!
The blonde’s serious mood matched the rest in the room. Shin was listening as well, and when he posed a question, Kealey’s eyebrows rose so high they nearly disappeared into her hairline.
”We get to take the jet?” she said, blue eyes wide. This was going to be so cool.
Cafas, for the first time in a while, felt rather important, not that the angle he was sitting at implied that. The contents of his own folder were spread over the immediate area in front of him, a highlighter, feeling rather over used, lay on the table next to them. It appeared CS was wrapping up. One final highlighted point and Cafas was packing away his folder's contents neatly, in the order he had pulled them out (which was not necessarily the order they had started in).
Shin is flying without knowing how... Oh good, I didn't much like my existence anyway... Hope it takes off and lands itself.
Cafas also spoke up. He hadn't seen any mention of reporting back on the sheets he'd been given. "How often are we giving you sit reps?" God bless video games for teaching Cafas 'lingo'. Thinking for a second he chimed in with another. "How long are we expecting the flight to be? If we leave in an hour, which seems like plenty to pack, when will we be expecting to land local time?"
All business? Really? No juvenile jokes jumping joyously from your mouth?
Cafas really needed to get that sarcastic voice in his head shut up.

Sam blinked, and saw the questions rose into the air then smirked slightly at his team of three he had selected for the mission. Shin, for obvious reasons he was a good leader and his ability to look into a situation made him valuable to the team. Sam’s gaze then shifted from Shin to Kealey then Cafas both of whom were rookies in regards in experience on the team. Both of who would benefit greatly from this mission.
A standard case of disappearances didn’t really grab Sam’s attention from a high priority if the abductions lead to bodies… yeah then he’d be sending the troops in mass numbers. However an investigative squad should be enough. Not to mention that Kealey’s abilities to pick up emotions should come in handy. Especially when searching for missing persons.
”I already punched in the coordinates on the X-Jet, it can get you there and back without much problem. The only time you’d need to disengage autopilot was if you guys were being attacked.” Sam paused after blinking and raised his hands to add, ”Which won’t happen!” Most of the radar’s now couldn’t really compete with the X-jet and those that could the owners of said technology would make a call before anything happened.
”Yes, Kealey you guys will be taking the jet.” Sam added with another smirk, ”I actually planned on teaching you guys to fly the jet, however that has to wait for now due to the time crunch. The autopilot will get you there with no problem. If you guys have any questions I’ll be around to take a call.” Sam said trying to put Shin, in particular at ease. ”Kind of like a video game really, taught Kat and Ghost how to fly it…” he said trailing off before he looked to Cafas.
Sam’s thoughts were a little scattered due to the responses and the mission itself, not to mention with all the other things he had to take care of in the near future. The one eyed mutant shook his head slightly and had a flashback to his training days when he heard the word ‘sit-reps’. Sam laughed slightly not exactly sure if Kealey or Shin knew what ‘sit-reps’ was. ”You can call me if when you guys land, how about that?” Sam scratched the blind side of his face then added, ”Again I’m not to worried about you guys getting there, the Jet will take care of you!”
The next question made Sam look down at the folder before him, ”If you leave in about an hour, the flight should only be a few hours…” looking at the clock which was located near the door Sam did the math in his head, a subject which he was horrible at. ”Less than two and a half hours, you’ll be going pretty fast, not top speed but pretty fast.” Sam said turning to Cafas hoping that would answer his question.
He waited a second then added, ”There is a users manual in the Jet if you guys want to educate yourself a bit however, and there will be another time for that. I want you three to focus on the mission at had for now.” Sam said reassuringly hoping that was the end of their questions.

So, the jet had an auto-pilot. Which meant a computer. Shin knew about computers. He resolved to have Sam teach him how to operate this one... and fly the plane, when he got back. Kat and Ghost already knew how to fly it, too!? Oh dear.
Shin looked to Kealey, once Sam was done talking about the mission. "We should get Kat to teach us to drive the X-jet," He announced. As an after-thought, he added. "Or Ghost."
That said, he turned back to Sam, donning his most professional and success-seeking look. "We can do this." He said. With his as team leader, they darn well better succeed.
