The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Dr. VanDeKamp looks up at her, through his glasses, over the mask, and looks pointedly at the two recording devices. "Not much to tell, I'm afraid." He says.
I can see the appeal,*Delphi says, also elbow deep in blood and guts, she couldn't be happier.* So why come to America, I mean you are orginally from Britian correct?
"Oh dear, what gave me away?" He kids. "Yes, I grew up Scarborough, came to New York for university. Decided I liked it, and I've been here ever since. Does that make me a bit pathetic, do you think?"
Not at all, this is a different country for you, I've always wanted to see the world and I've seen alot so far. *Delphi says, not finding Dr. VanDeKamp pathetic at all, he is rather . . . charming.*
"Oh really- hand me- oh!" Delphi has the tool he wants already ready for him. "Thankyou. Ah, I was going to ask- where all have you been? I've only really been here and back home."
Oh all around really, America of couse, every state with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska. I've been to Canada, Mexico, Great Britian London and the countryside, Ireland, Scottland, and I've also made it down to Australia and New Zealand. Then to Japan a couple months ago, Japan was beautiful and serene but New Zealand was so . . . more, oh how do I explain it. New Zealand's weather still shapes it, the ocean tears away at it, there are rainforests and deserts, and Glaciers. And of course the natives have that wonderful accent. *Delphi says with a great love of those two islands, she also has been handing Dr. VanDeKamp every instrument he needs ahead of time.*
"Wow, what a lucky girl you are, to have traveled so much. And to have such a passion for places you've been to. Think you'll ever move? Thankyou." He thanks her for every tool she hands him, or helps him with out him asking, adjusting quickly to the oddness of not having to ask.
*A few hours later Dr. VanDeKamp calls it a day.* I'll get the recorders. *Delphi says flipping them off and turning back to him.* So I am assuming you went into medicine based on your powers?
"Well it's hard not to. I heal anyone I touch." He says with a smile, as he covers the body. "Having a gift like that and not going into medicine? A shame."
You're right that would be, so I am assuming you have saved a lot of lives in you time as the head of a teaching hospital, any really good stories?*Delphi asks curiously as she gathers up the intstruments and but them in a biohazard bad and labels it 'too be cleaned'.*
"Well. Nothing that you'd have heard of. I've managed to keep out of the media, because if I had every terminal case of whatever seeking me out for my healing touch, then I wouldn't have time to do things like this- research, teaching, and whathaveyou- which is really what I like. I suppose that makes me selfish, but what people don't understand is my touch is like a system cleanse. It gets rid of all foreign agents, which include any current medications. And let's not even go into things like pace makers or bone-pins."
"Since things like that are technically on the out-side of the body, I've not really had any trouble with them, thankfully. But yeah. There were some... problems. Thankfully chalked up to freak accidents and I've yet to have anyone die... That's another thing, I don't have anything that's going to like, close a festering wound. I'll just make sure that there's no infection in it." He eyes Delphi. "And what about you? Any interesting stories about your powers? I'm sure seeing the future must come with some interesting moments."
