The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*Delphi rolls her eyes,* Only if you think joining up with a band of mutants to save humanity would result in intresting stories. *sighs* You get used to seeing things but, that doesn't mean you like what you see. Sometimes I go really far ahead, it is never pretty *Del realizes she is being depressing,* Then of course there are all the dishes I have saved.
He smiles, amused, as they finish cleaning up. "Well that's certainly a benefit. I know we finished this faster because you had everything ready before I knew I needed it." he strips off his bloody gloves and tosses them in the proper receptacle. "Hnn. So long as we're being open, do I need to be careful around you? Any plates or pins or medication I could accidentally expel if I bump into wrong?"
"Thank god." He's actually relieved. "I really don't like having to wear gloves all the time. People think I'm OCD or something. Terribly obnoxious, but better than random folks suddenly loosing that stint in their neck, right?" He smiles, and checks the clock. "You have somewhere to go? I'm going to take an early dinner, and if you're not squeamish, you're welcome to come with me." He offers.
Squeamish, no not since I was pregnant. I'd love to join you, I had to skip breakfast this morning in favor of getting here on time. *Delphi admits sheepishly.*
"Living in the future get you discombobulated, or trouble with you- what was it, triplets?" He asks, as they head out of the morgue. "There's a cafeteria in the basement that actually serves good food. I don't know how it works but it does."
Triplets, I swear to god I love them but if I had seen them coming, I don't know.*Delphi comments a little surprised at the concept of good food in a hospital.*
"You see the future, and you managed to miss a triple-birth? Perhaps this is treading in personal territory, but how exactly did that happen?" They come to the cafeteria, and Dr.VanDeKamp flashes his ID to get them in, and he grabs a tray
*Delphi follows into the cafeteria and also grabbing a plate.* Power trouble of course, when I'm not incharge of me they kinda vacate. My . . . *She pauses a second before continuing, dwelling on her and Siren isn't a good idea.*boyfriend's abilities seem to be able to cause that occasionally. Nice not to have the headache but I ended up paying for that one in the long run. *Delphi says quietly not want to have anyone overhear the conversation.*
*Delphi almost snorts while laughing,* Sorry didn't explain that properly, no no no he'd never do anything like that. Siren is musical, like he can make you sing amazingly. It was a birthday present, nothing bad. *Delphi quickly explains.* Actually he has been so concerned about me being me we have been fighting about it. *Delphi sighs.*
If you could figure that one out you should go into councelling, Siren's argument is that he doesn't want to make me do anything don't want to do. I am also an empath so it is hard to tell what I want, and duh taking care of three kids would kill anyone's sex drive over all the argument is stupid and compounded latley by a completly new argument that I can't explain because it is a bit more personal. * Delphi says easily sensing the confusion, embarrasment, and amusement.*
