The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Occupational hazard. *Delphi comments removing her glasses and revaling her pitch black eyes.* Most of the time I don't say anything, I live about 5 minutes ahead of the rest of the world. But I don't want you to think that is how I get my grades. I study endlessly to prove it isn't my powers that got me where I am.
The Doctor comes over to her, tilting her head up and leaning in, to observe her eyes very closely. This is defiantly in her personal space, but he doesn't seem to think anything of it. "Hnnn. You get headaches a lot?" He says, looking at her eyes.
Constantly, but try living in one world and seeing another. *Delphi replies blithely, trying to act like it isn't a big deal. And then she has a question.* What made you ask that question?
"You've made it this far. You didn't mention you were a mother, though. Do you take care of your kid, or is it living with a relative... perhaps adoption?"
*Delphi suddenly sees what it is she felt about Dr. VanDeKamp.* You too huh? I take care of my children with my boyfriend. We pulled off triplets by accident. *Delphi admits, not ashamed of the fact.*
Can we have both? But seriously Siren is really great with the kids and conviently has a late night job that means we rarely need a babysitter. *It also means they rarely get out too but that isn't impportant. Delphi is a little surprised she has opened up so easily to Dr. VanDeKamp as it is, no need to over share.*
"Ahh, so you switch off. He watches them during the day, and you at night. And you still manage to get your homework done and your studying in." He shakes his head, smiling. "Well, I guess you've got yourself the job. I don't know how, but... ta-daaah."
Come on into my office. I'll check the calender. His office is clean and tidy, and nicely decorated. "It looks like... Yes, she's scheduled to go next Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon. That shouldn't be too hard, right? Hospital Morgue?"
