I plan on majoring specifically in mutation, opportunities like this don't occur very often. *Delphi points out, not yet voulenteering the I am a mutant card.*

"Oh really?" His eyebrow remains raised. "And what exactly does a major in mutation consist of? What do you want to do with it?"

It is easy to see the resentments building between mutants and non-mutants, before segration happens their needs to be people willing to treat everyone equally. That would be my practice plans as for research their are millions of different forms os manifestations caused by mutation. Study of the mutant gene might better help to classify mutations and treat healt threatening ones. *Delphi explains pour out her goal for her future.*

"Ahh. So you don't want to, like, perform vivisections on them, or something like that?" He asks, kiddingly.

Most assuradly not. *Delphi replies, she is hopeful. Dr. VanDeKamp doesn't seem closed to the idea yet.*

"Alright then. Let's look at this from my perspective then, shall we? I've a waiting list of superclass med-students waiting to assist on one of my autopsies. If I just give out that position to an undergrad... on an autopsy that thesis papers are made of... There could be near rioting. You're a pre-med. Dr. Kestet seems to think you're skilled, though. Are you?"

Top of my class so far, but I don't see it ever being other wise. *Delphi responds.*

"And you're here on a Saturday, indicating you're a hard worker." He puts a finger to his lips considering.

*Delphi nodds but lets him ponder, if she senses a no at all she'll admit to being a mutant and pray this will not affect her at the school. She has never met the man and has no idea how he'll handle the information.*

He continues to consider. And the answer he keeps coming back to is "I'm sorry, but I simply cannot justify moving you to the front of the line..."

I see that you can't quite justify moving me to te front of the line so I'll lay down my final plea here. Part of the reason I am so dedicated to this is because I am a mutant and I am trusting this information is something you could keep to your self.*Del says nervously.*

"And you think your telling me you're a mutant is going to help move you further up the line, is that it?" he says, slightly skeptical.

No I think my telling you I'm a mutant will tell you exactly how dedicated I am to this, that and the fact that I could camp outside your office day and night till either you let me in on this or another one comes along and I am on the tops of the list. Because by my fourth year here I plan on being at the top of any list. *Del says rather daringly, she has spunk he has to admit.*

There is a slightly tense moment while the Doctor regards her. "Well. That's a bit of spirit there." He chuckles. "Alright then. Prove it."

What do you want you're emotions or the future? And what you're about to say is, and I quote. "Claiming you can see the future with any accuracy is a pretty big boast and I'd like to see that." *Delphi says before he can.* And so you can see I don't exagerate right now while you're somewhat surprised at me you also are conceling something your self.
