The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Yes well he keeps this up much longer and we'll be past conundrum point and into not a real relationship territory. I am sure you don't want to hear all this, sorry by all means pick something else to talk about. *Delphi appoligises.*
"No worries, really. Although I might offer one word of advice before I change the topic. You s hould sit him down and talk to the idiot. If you're as empathic as you say, then your abilities will just send the situation spiraling." He shrugs. "So. How about those rib cages. Weird or what?"
Yes, very much so. *laughs* Although I can harldy wait to trace the arteries and veins and see where they go.*Delphi continues, easily excited about medicine.*
"I'm going to have to talk to the family before we do that, since it's not exactly standard procedure." He sighs. "There's still the possibility they'll raise hell over it, and we won't get to finish."
Yeah that would not be good I could try talking to them, as you can guess I'm really good with feelings. *Delphi suggest, knowing that it is unlikely she can help, she is pre-med not an actual doctor. Her and Dr. VanDeKamp end up having a long involved conversation on diseases of the circulatory system that has Del completly lossing track of time until her wrist watch sounds.* Oh dear, I'm sorry to intrupt but I need to dash home I am going to miss the last bus back and make Siren late for work, thank you so much for lunch. *Delphi says getting up in a rush.*
Cassandra, if you're in a hurry I could offer to give you a ride. I'm off now so it isn't a bother. Dr. Van DeKamp offers.
Oh I don't want to be a bother, really the bus is fine.
Nosense, I can get you home faster than the bus and really I have no pressing matters, so as I've said it isn't a problem.
Well . . . I mean-
I insist. Dr. VanDeKamp says ending any argument Del might have. And obligingly get his stuff together and escorts Delphi to his car, a Bently of course. Delphi gives him the directions and they are off.
*Delphi arrives with ten minutes to spare before Dr.VanDeKamp is supposed to arrive. She heads in gets suited up and keeps to the back wall deeply absorbed in her own thoughs.*
*Delphi looks up not realling hearing him, but know what he was going to say anyways.* No problem, let's get started shall we? *Delphi says wanting to burry herself in work.*
"Sure thing. We're going to prep the body for observation by a family member or two. They're going to send one or two people in, to make sure we're not making things up, and talk to us." He says, pulling on his own scrubs.
Oh. *Del says, recalling that she promised Dr.VanDeKamp that she could convince the family to let them do the work they need to do, the only problem is she doesn't feel like she can accomplish much of anything today. She want to be absorbed by a task.* So what time are they going to be here? *She asks trying to sound enthusasic.*
"They'll be here in about 45 minutes." Dr.VanDeKamp says, checking the clock, and giving Delphi a look. "Are you feeling alright? You look a little... under the weather, dear."
Yes, well sometimes life just doesn't work out. Sorry, sick babies at home and Siren and I have rounded the corner on fighting. Sorry you don't want to hear this, I was just hopping to get right to work. *Delphis says appolegetically.*
Dr.VanDeKamp Sighs. "Ok. Delphi, sit down." He moves her over to the bench in the hall. "If you're feeling, well, down, it's possible that it could effect your work. Especially since we have the relations coming in."
No, believe me work is a good thing, I focus well. *Delphi says, feeling horrible that she is putting off work. She promised to work hard and now . . . crap.*
