The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He could hear the sound of sirens now. The police were coming. Good. This whole scene could end smoothly, with the crooks in police custody and Shin winning brownie points for keeping the peace. The bad guys weren't moving to run, either. They just stood there, uncertainly, as if they didn't feel much like doing anything.
From Kealey's comment, it was her doing. Gosh, that power of hers had its uses. He grinned confidently as things got more and more under control. Hopefully, some of that confidence would help Kealey keep up her focus. They gang members surely couldn't hold a candle to his overconfidence.
Kealey said something, and Shin looked to her, head bobbing a slight nod. The box around her vanished, as if it had never been.
And just in time, too. Four police officers showed up, just as he'd dismissed the protection around Kealey, first on the scene. Shin flashed his badge, directing them towards the others. He kept the shard cage in place for the moment. The men that had been released from Kealey's concentration were bashing on the box's sides.
The fools with no emotions got cuffed where they stood.
The guy rolled from side to side, hands still up to shield his face from her. Andrea didn't know what to do... She brought her hands to her chest, delicately touching the fabric of her costume over her heart. Her heart was thudding away inside her ribs. Her sore ribs... that the man had hurt. The strange and frightening new sensation insider her chest surged, and she had to step back a little as a wave of dizziness washed over her. She felt like throwing up... or passing out... but that would leave her helpless, and allow the man to get away. Instead, she stood, and watched...
He turned onto his side, swearing... saying things that would have normally made her ears turn red, and calling her names. He pushed himself up onto an elbow, and pulled his hand away from his cheek to stare at it as if he expected to see blood. She heard him mutter a curse, called her a name she had never heard before, and he started to push himself up. He was getting up! She felt a surge of emotion, and darted forward to push him back down. If he got up, there was no telling what would happen...
She managed to get a hand on his chest, knocking him back into the dirt. He reached up to push her away, and she intercepted his hand clumsily. He pulled it back with a hiss and a curse immediately. She stepped back again, her heart thudding away, and took in a shaky breath. What was she doing?.... She didn't know. She just... was. She could feel her arms shaking... with anger maybe, or fear. Probably fear. The fear that if she let him get up and walk away, someone else would become his next victim. With a quiet grunt of a sound, she moved forward and sat on the struggling mans chest. He attempted to push her away with his other hand, and with a sob she grabbed a hold of that as well.
Fresh tears streaked down her cheeks, and she hesitated for only a moment, then quickly placed her bare hand on the mans face. His eye closed under her palm, where his skin was already shifting to a hard, colorless gray. One damaged hand rose, and he knocked her from his chest. Andrea landed at his side, and backpedaled on bum as she fully took in what she had done to him. A hand print, her hand print, covered from the right corner of his mouth, all the way up to above his eyebrow and in between. The eye caught in the middle was useless... as was a good proton of his cheek. She felt another sob shake her, and shot to her feet, advancing on the man in an attempt to plant another hand shaped wound over the one good eye he had left.

Saphirus didn't find what he was expecting when he arrived at the boss's location... What he'd figured he would see was a man standing over a dead body, considering he'd heard gunshots, and the leader was usually the one who had the gun in a gang of punks like this. Instead he saw... er... a different super hero attacking the gang leader...
A dragon themed super hero? Like.... Dragon-man? Man-dragon? Superman-dragondragon-man! He had to admit it was a pretty cool theme, even if the suit was a little... lame looking... then again, he couldn't really say anything... He slowed to a walk as he neared about to utter a hero-ish greeting... Jees, this person really had the dragon theme down... even had green hands... Womanly green hands... His eyes widened as he looked to the man's face to see a gray wound... Oh my god... He had seen those hands, and that particular shade of gray before... Andrea?! Jesus, she was going in hands first! She was going to kill him! "NO!" The older mutant was upon her in a second, grabbing the woman by the back of her dragon suit and wrenching her away from the man with all of his strength... He flung her toward a tree firmly, not hard enough to hurt her, but enough to shake her up... His eyes bore a hole through the dragon mask, right into the eyes of the Gorgon underneath.
"SNAP OUT OF IT, damn you! You are not a monster; you do not kill. That's not who you are. do you understand?!" He didn't wait for a reply, moving her bone skinny, dragon covered form as if she were a large doll, and pushing her off toward Shin and the police. "Go where it's safe... NOW." He then turned and walked quickly over to the man, who was still laying, clenching his face and struggling to breath. "je.... jesus... that freak almost k.."He wheezed audibly, and struggled on. "T... Thank y-" Saph placed a finger on his forehead, and released enough energy to knock him into next week... he was lucky the would-be super hero wouldn't kill someone infront of the traumatized Gorgon. After that was done, he turned and looked for a slightly hidden place to change... the Police didn't like a vigilante in uniform.
A few minutes and a trip to shady bush later, he walked out in a t-shirt and shorts, which he'd kept on under the costume in case of such an emergency. He moved to find Andrea again, where ever she'd run off to.

The police were there…the police were finally there. Sure Shin had his badge, but all that had seem to do was paint a giant bullseye in the middle of his forehead. He was pleased though, and Kealey grinned. She’d done a good job…just a while longer now.
When the beat cops arrived, and the shield around Kealey vanished, she picked up the emotions of the guys Shin had boxed in. They were feeling pretty defeated, but there was no harm in making sure. The police seemed a little surprised by the latent state of the others, and Kealey smiled a slight smile to herself despite the headache that was starting to lodge itself in the back of her head. This many people was a lot of work.
Once the cuffs were on, Kealey breathed a sigh of relief and let go of her hold on the emotions. As soon as the commotion was over, Kealey made her way over to Shin, stopping a few feet away.
”Are you okay?” she said, half reaching out toward them, ”They actually shot at you. I couldn’t believe it…and then there were so many of them…and they had guns…and people were scared and running…I did what I could to stop the bad guys…but they were so intense, and man I‘m tired…” she had to stop there to take a breath, then she blushed. She was rambling.
”Also…thanks…for the kiss. I was stuck…you shook me out of it.”
People were calming down now, making their way back into the clearing to pick up the things they’d left in the audience. Kealey looked around and was pleased. ”They’re happy…glad we were here.” she said. Kealey didn’t know a ton about human/mutant relations…but she knew things had been stressed in the past.
”How could they not be impressed though. That box you made was awesome.” Kealey said with a girl, then her eyebrows drew slightly together as she turned back towards the stage…”Someone is still scared though…and upset….and angry….” she said softly, ”Think we need to check it out?”

"I'm fine," Shin replied, still in the confident zone. "Really. And you did great." He was proud of her. She'd handled the situation well, even if it had taken a kiss to get her focused. Shin was still smiling. He released the hold on the boxes around the men as police moved in for the last dregs of the gang. His mental focus went from them, to Kealey.
"How about you? How are you?" The pride was still there, if with a hint of concern. After all, she'd done a lot. She was probably drained. He was feeling a little exhausted, too. It was more a mental fatigue than a physical one. It had been difficult, dealing with the entire situation.
Kealey said she was glad they'd been here. "Yeah," He glanced over his shoulder at the handiwork of the police. She said they were impressed, and complimented his box. He rested his hands on his hips, and adopted a bragging, jet joking, tone. "We kicked ass." She got the praise, too. It wasn't all about him.
Something made Kealey pause, though. She looked towards the stage. Shin followed her gaze with some worry. Someone was angry and upset? Kealey asked if they should check it out.
Shin turned, and stuck his fingers in his mouth. He let out one big, loud whistle. Some policemen spun to eye him. Shin pointed towards the stage. "She says she thinks there's someone over there that needs your attention." He announced. "I think one of you should check it out."
It took a moment of glancing between each other for them to decide the best course of action. One police officer broke from the pack. He headed for the stage.
Shin turned back to Kealey. "They can handle it. We've already done enough..." He smiled calmly. He was quiet for a second, then continued with confidence. "Now. Where were we? I seem to recall ice cream." The police could handle things. He was certain they'd already done enough for the day. Now, they could relax and recuperate. They'd earned it.
The Greek stumbled away, her back smarting from where she had smacked soundly into the tree. what had she just- no, no... best not to think about it. Her face still hurt, her back hurt, her arms hurt... everything pretty much hurt. But... she had done the right thing. Right?
She turned to look back at where she had come from- but neither the masked man, nor her attacker were in sight anymore... Who had that man been anyway? His voice... it had seemed...so familiar... Yet, not. It felt like she knew him. She shook herself, and fell to her knees by the stage. No... perhaps it was just her current mental state messing with her. Surely she looked like a mess, what with her suit being damaged and all. She sniffled quietly, and worked at getting herself out of her borrowed costume. Her damaged hood came off easily enough, and with that open she was able to fish around in her suit for her broken glasses. If her memory was correct, she had seen some white tape laying about behind the stage... it would do until she got home and dug out her spare pair.
She found the tape in a small box that had been abandoned by the side of the stage, and repaired her glasses before wiggling out of her suit half way. The repair job held well enough to cover some of the damage to her face- though bruising under her eyes was still quite visible. She turned once more, glaceing over her shoulder to where police officers were coming the area, making sure that no one escaped attention. One officer, with another at her heels, strode over quickly, to ask her if she was alright- as well as what had happened. She flinched away a little, nervous as always, and explained all that she had seen- leaving out a few details that she knew would get her in trouble. The woman asked her if she would like to fill out a statement, and instead of answering Andrea pointed out where the man she had dealt with had been heading. "There was one who ran off in that direction. He had been after a guy who was over here... but I don't know where he went."
She was told to wait for paramedics to arrive, so her injuries could be looked at.... but Andrea knew that wasn't an Option. As soon as the officers were out of sight, she would need to spirit herself away... quickly. For the moment though, she needed to collect herself. Her sniffling was under control for the moment... but tears still threatened to spill from her eyes... and her chest was still a buzz with many confusing emotions. She leaned back against the stage, brought a shaking hand to her face, and let out a shaky breath.
