The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Amp watched Issie go to greet a raggedy newcomer who wanted to hide in the back. Vibe was preoccupied with the wolf-whisper to translate, and the pair were too far away to read lips, so she let her attention wander elsewhere.
It chose to wander to Grit. Briefly she wondered what he had decided to do after they were kicked out of the Labs. Vibe had told her that he had asked about where they were staying, and if Syn would let him come as well. She wasn't sure what to think about that. On one hand, he was human, and a man. But on the other, she really owed him her life. She felt something akin to gratitude, and a need to repay him. And, he was nice. For a human, anyway.....
"Welcome to Sanctuary for those of you who are new here, and welcome home to those who have been here from the beginning. As you all can see things have been very busy around here in getting Sanctuary back in order and adding some new additions such as this."
Vibe brought Syn's speech to her attention, and she turned to 'listen'.
From the pews, Vibe listened and translated for her sister, while observing the expressions on the others' faces.
If anyone of you would like to say something then please feel free to do so."
No one seemed eager to accept the invitation, though the facial expressions spoke obvious agreement. Finally Amp snickered from next to the throne, and spoke up, her tone taunting.
"I dunno Syn. Everyone's awful silent all of a sudden. Maybe they disagree? Maybe they feel humans are superior after all."

The woman was just not going away. She was truly the annoying one in the room. But to keep from making a scene he just let her go on and on. Jason tried not to pay to much attention to her, hoping that just maybe she’d catch the hint and wonder off but nothing. Then she went back on about mutation. But to Jason it really wasn’t a big deal. He had been living with this for so long now that it was an everyday thing for him that when on like a light switch. He looked at her and watch as her hand started to mutate. It was kind of a disturbing site. Then he just broke out into a bit of laughter.
“You know just maybe… if you had a boyfriend and you wouldn’t scare them away with all this so called bizarre stuff. Umm you wouldn’t be so damn annoying.” He said keeping his voice low and but his tone strict. From there on he just tuned her out. It wasn’t that he didn’t wanna answer her. Wait that is it. He didn’t wanna answer. Besides why should he. Was she someone special in this little gang of misfits, or was she just another on of the people that were still lost in the world.
Jason listened on as she babbled on and on. Trying to drowned her out, he noticed a beautiful woman stand up and begin to give a motivational speech. It was outstanding, she was on point and he could feel the power coming out of her voice. But he remembered this from some where… oh yeah all the other little gangs he we come and go through. They always and a leader, of course never one as beautiful as this one but they always gave that same motivational speech. But it always seemed to be that false motivation. But since he was new here he would give it the benefit of the doubt. He looked across the room and it seemed like everybody in the room was glued to what she was saying, then again a few looked like they had a few different opinions. He looked back at the girl next to him. He couldn’t quite figure out if she was feeling the woman up front or if she was one of the one’s with little doubts. As the woman finished speaking she opened the floor to I guess anybody that had something to say.
It was pretty quite other then a few side bar conversations that people were having. Then a voice from the front spoke up. It was one of the twins with her voice as beautiful as her appearance.
"I dunno Syn. Everyone's awful silent all of a sudden. Maybe they disagree? Maybe they feel humans are superior after all." She said.
With those words he stood up looked around. He stepped on the pew and looked at each person that sat in side this great room.
“Now excuse me if I may. I’m not one to start something that and make a big deal about it. But by looking around in this room I don’t see how you plan on taking over with just a few as some folks say bizarre people.” He said looking down at the young girl that was sitting next to him. “I mean we got A dog catcher here. Im sure which could be useful if we needed to howl at the moon or something.. Then we got the army of Kool-aid men. Of course no pun intended and a set of twins that look beautiful beyond belief. But what do you expect this bunch to really accomplish. With his last words he froze and stepped over the pew and looked back at the young lady who was now sitting in front of him. “Oh and how could I forget this beautiful young dear that I cant tell which her power is to talk you to death. Or to try and gross you out with this bubbly effect she got going on.” Jason turned addressing the rest of the room now walking down the isle. He stopped giving his old raggedy jacket a quick shake putting a huge cloud of dust around him. “Now don’t get me wrong. All the stuff you said I agree with you. But just how do you think this group is gonna do it?” With that Jason sat down on the edge of the pew listening deeply extremely interested in what the next words that were gonna come out of peoples mouth. He by any chance didn’t mean to start something but as just trying to figure out just were this group of misfits were going.
As Syn's voice cut through the low hum of conversation in the room and began to address all of the individuals gathered in the Cathedral, Isabel shifted her gaze away from the young man beside her and focused her full attention on the young woman up at the front. Before the speech was half over she was already grinning from ear to ear. She agreed whole heartedly with everything the young woman said. She fully backed the idea the mutants were rising in rank and would some day replace humans as the dominant species. It would only take a little time and a lot of the Order's special kind of persuasion. Their survival and demolition of the Camps had already shown just how durable they all were and proved that even under the most difficult of circumstances they could still come out on top, where they rightfully belonged. Silently she began wondering what it was Syn had planned for the Order, besides the general goal of trampling the humans and increasing their numbers. Even after the draining ordeal at both the Camps and her trial, she'd had enough time to recuperate and regain her full desire to get back out into the world and do some damage. She was tired of sitting around and slowly picking up the pieces of where she'd left off before the Raid had occurred. She wanted to get back out there and show the humans exactly who they'd been messing with. She'd missed wreaking havoc with the Order and she figured it was high time they all got back into action.
She was a little disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm from the group. Though when Amp stepped up and tried to prod everyone into speech, she couldn't help but smirk. The expression didn't last long though, once the young man she'd acquainted herself with stood up to speak. She gave an annoyed little "Hmph," as he looked down at her, throwing one of her word choices back in her face and including the whole congregation as he did so. Not only was he picking at her, but he moved on to insult the abilities and appearances of the gathered members, both old and new. Isabel's temper was quickly rising as she glared at the back of the young man's head while he paraded down the isle. "And what exactly is it that you can do, Dusty? Don't tell me your mutation is being thick-headed and having the ability of selective hearing. If so, I don't think you'll be much use to us," she retorted, rising from her seat and giving the new individual a nasty little look as she took up a rather stiff pace and strode by him, spitefully resolving that he would be dubbed 'Dusty' from there on out. She was going back up to sit in the lovely throne that had been provided for her.
Rigidly she plopped down in the lavish chair, crossing her arms as she continued to seethe, her irritated glare focused solely on Gore. "Just who do you think you are standing up and insulting us like that?" she continued, her voice increasing in volume just enough so that he could hear her from where he had reseated himself. "What makes you any better than the rest of us, that you have the right to criticize our group, which you have never seen in action? Have you not been listening? We've beaten the renowned X-Men. We've helped to flatten the Camps. And we somehow manage to thrive under conditions unfit for even the lowliest of humans to live in. We are strong and we are worthy of recognition, both individually and as a group. You're a new member here, kiddo. You haven't seen the power we possess. Everyone here deserves your respect. They're the ones who are going to be watching your back in a rough scrape, and you'd best be watching theirs as well. One weak and arrogant link in our chain will weaken the group as a whole. In this world mutants have to watch out for each other. We may be on the small side now, but we're growing, and quickly. We're already a force to be reckoned with. The more we grow, the stronger that force and our influence will get," she continued with a little huff. If this kid was looking for trouble, Isabel would be happy to accommodate him.
"Sorry," she said after a short moment, turning and speaking to Syn, a bit of a sheepish smile creeping across her features. Losing any and all tension that had been held in her frame, she relaxed back into her throne, lazily draping her arms across the arms of the chain and crossing one leg over the other. "So, do we have any plans for the future to crush the humans, or are we here to brainstorm?" she questioned, looking quizzically at Syn, wanting to hear if the dark girl was hiding something up her sleeves.
Packmaster had been happy, he had been talking politly to people for almost 5 minutes, and now the Alpha was talking about the Hunt!
Suddently, Packmaster stopped smiling, and turned very, very angry. Sensing his anger, the two wolves began to growl menacingly. He slowly began to turn towards the...IMPUDENT man, who had dared to say his only job would be a Dog Catcher, and that he was only useful for howling at the moon.
Packmaster turned completely in his seat, and leapt. He landed on another pew, and jumped again. He landed on the pew in front of the man (Gore), and let it slide a bit towards him. When it quit sliding, his face launched forwards, stopping right in front of him with a full blown snarl, which would be, in normal circumstances, quite fearsome, as most would be surprised by the sound of a angry wolf coming from a human mouth. His sharp, dagger-like fangs and teeth glinted a little in the dim light. He threw his arms out behind him, and his jacket slipped off, showing off all his upper body muscles and scars. He placed his hands on the pew again.
As he was doing this, the two wolves who had started to growl with him slunk around behind the man, and growled lowly.
"How DARE you, maggot, compare me with a pathetic, tame little DOG! I am a WOLF, and you better learn more respect towards our Pack, and our Alpha, or I will rip out your throat, and eat you alive!" His eyes were glowing softly, and right above his heart, his skin pushed outwards, and from the small bulge, five lines pushed up to his throat, a a small amount of black mist began to trikle from his jaws.

Gore could feel the blood in his body circulating fast. It gave him this oqword feeling like something was living underneath his skin. But he knew all to well what was happening. The faster his blood traveled it began to mutate giving Gore a thin but extremely strong shield that helps protect him from harm. His eyes slightly opened as he watched the dog catcher fly across the room, moving from pew to pew. As the two looked each other in the eyes Gore was sickened by this… Where was all this passion moments ago. “So let me get this right?” He says giving a quick glance to the beautiful woman that just got done talking then over to the one with major attitude who was cute but that innocent look on her face was a big cover up.
“If I offend you well tough Shit. But how does something so small get you so riled up. But someone talking about giving you the chance to walk proud among these streets instead of having wars with each other and fighting off everybody else keep you sitting in that pew with your tail between your leg.” Gore took a looked around the room at people he would be fighting with… or by the way things kept acting up could be fight before the nights over. “Red, I never asked for anybodies respect. Everybody here could hate me with every pore in there body all I ask for the one’s in this room to that there life is worth this.”
With those words Gore focused his attention back on the Ol’ wolfie that was still standing in front of him. His blood still circulated making the plating under his skin stronger and stronger. Gore’s right hand slowly withdrew up the arm of his jacket only leaving his knuckles barley visible. Clinching his fist harder and tighter drops of blood began to drip from his hand to the floor. As the drops rained to the floor they began morphing and leaving a little pile of dirt as if someone just stomped the dirt off there shoe at the door. “I don’t care what it looks like but I aint here to fight. But next time nephew if you plan on taking someone’s life I advise you to do it cause I got no problem in the world putting your mutts in the pound cause they lost they owner.

Vibe leaned back a bit in surprise as Packmaster shot across the room. Soon an imish smirk settled onto her pale face as the raging testosterone levels rose in the back of the room. Typical macho behavior. She wasn't sure who to root for; the Lone Rude Ranger who dared to challenge an entire room of mutants, or the mutants she knew for a fact to be much more dangerous than they appeared.
>What do you think, sis? Should we stay spectators, or join in the fun?<
Amp's stare remained blank. However, a high-pitched whistle abruptly shattered the air. It was amplified around Packmaster and Gore specifically, but anyone with decent hearing likely would have cringed.
"I suggest," she stressed, pointedly looking at the two men, "that you two either save the fighting for later, or take it outside. Syn put a lot of effort into building this place. Let's at least try to keep it clean for her."
She dimissed them with a glance and turned back to Syn. "I, for one, want to hear more about that dominance you mentioned. Specifically the 'how' and 'when'."
The twins reaction seemed to support Syn's speech and was poised to strike a reaction from someone or a few people. It did just that as Gore spoke up and addressed his thoughts. Though his attitude was apparent in his choices of names he spat out Syn knew full well there would be ego and personality issues to get over. Isabel made her thoughts known as well and she fully addressed Gore’s comments. When she turned and apologized Syn just smiled back as if to say well done.
Packmaster drew attention to himself when he leapt his way to face off with Gore. His temper flaring as audible as his snarls. Though he defended himself he also stated similar thoughts of what Isabel had made. Next came Abyss as he made an attempt to play peacemaker. His point was right however. There did seem to be a want for action more than words.
Syn’s response to all this was a smile and a brief applause. “You’re right Abyss there does seem to be a lust for action.” Directing herself to Gore Syn smiled. “I like your spirit and your drive. To answer your question though, I don’t plan to take over with just this small group. The more we do and the more recognition we get then the more mutants we will draw to our cause. I do plan to cause the humans great suffering, and that we are able to accomplish at any given moment.” She now spoke to address everyone. “What I do want is for us to function as one. I don’t care if you all hate the sight of each other I will command a united force. If that means you guys go to the gym and spar with one another to get out frustrations then so be it. Personally I’d prefer you take your anger out on the humans. Should things get out of hand then I will personally step in to settle things.” Syn smiled in appreciation to Amp's comment about keeping the place damage and mess free.
"Very well, I have decided to let our group be known. They way this will be done will be to break into Fort Knox. Yes, I know it doesn't hold all the gold but it will be a statement the world cannot ignore. That should give whoever wants to go a chance to show what they can do." Syn figured that might get at least a few members interest.
Shade had ignored the little conflict between the two members. His thoughts had in fact drifted to what he was going to do after the meeting. At the moment, he was a little short on cash. Why not go on a little robbery? Suddenly, Syn's words jerked him back to reality.
"Wait- no disrespect- but you honestly want to attack Fort Knox?" Shade asked. His usual smile was replaced by a look of utter disbelief. After a second where someone should have yelled out 'Gotcha' of 'JK', the evil smirk slowly kept back onto Shade's face.

Gore stood only inches apart from this guy who tended to take the meaning of ‘Mans best friend’ a little to seriously. Anything could happen next the dogs could attack him, the man could bite him so no matter what after this fight he was probably going straight to see a doctor for rabies shots. Jason new the out come of this was gonna be something serious. Either they were gonna fight this out and someone was gonna be out of commission for a while or they were gonna break things up and a interesting rivalry was gonna form. Sure enough only seconds before Jason was sure the dog guy in front was gonna attack he quickly dropped to a knee placing his rocky arms over his ears trying to block out the noise.
“For Christ sakes will you cut that ringing off.” He shouted out in the room. The annoying sounded could be felt all through out his body. The pulse of the sounded bounced from limb to limb. This by far was the worst pain the man had ever felt and pain was something he put up with every day. He could feel the stone shield crumble underneath his skin. His lungs felt heavy and the coughs did nothing but exhale clouds of dust. Finally after a few Jason cam to his senses and looked around. He felt weak and new what happen and didn’t like it at all. He was sure it wasn’t meant to go that far. But sounds and him did not go together and this was usually the result.
Jason just shrugged off the man that he new hated the postman and laid across a pew. He took a few deep breaths and listened to what was said.. Still wasn’t much coming from this group then he heard the women up front talk about taking down Knox. In his days be been with some groups that knocked over some banks but damn Fort Knox. Where these people crazy. With all his might he pulled himself up in the pew and looked around. With these people she had to be crazy but he for sure had to see this one out. Besides he aint have no where else to go so jail… Or more days with this group….
“Wow Knox huh” he said cough up another dust cloud. “So umm do we get to be let in on this plan or we gonna just play it by ear? Cause im thinking playing it by ear may be a little more fun.” he chuckled but only to cough another big cloud of smoke as he looked over at the twins…
Packmaster growled at the impudent one. He readied himself to attack. Then, a blast of a painful noise swept through his head, and he dropped, snarling in pain. After the pain wore off, he heard the words of The Alpha, and struggled to his feet, resigned. he would hold his tongue...for now.
He shot a dirty look over at the twins. At the very least, he now had an inkling of who he shouldn't put a lot of faith in. As he backed away from Gore, he struggled to think.
'Something isn't right...No Alpha would be willing to just take that from a packmember...maybe...I have put my faith into the wrong pack? No! I didn't, there's no way that Master Syn is a bad Alpha!...But maybe....she's new to Alpha-hood, and doesn't know the way things go in a Pack...she doesn't seem to have the instincts of a wolf, so it's possible...In any case, this man I nearly came to blows with appears to be a bit more like me than I had origionally thought...I'll keep an eye on him.' He thought as he re-took his seat.
"Is there any need to ask? You are my Alpha, of course I'm coming to help, Syn."
Isabel's smile brightened at the silent approval she gained from Syn. She didn't think verbally berating a new member would be looked on in the most positive light, but the guy had asked for it. If he was going to vomit insults all over the place, she'd be more than happy to retaliate. Needless to say she couldn't help but grin gleefully as Dusty dissolved onto the floor in pain due to the Twins' attack. She was able to keep herself from cringing, though just barely. The two redheads certainly knew how to get their point across. And it was only too amusing watching the newcomer coughing up dust as he picked himself up off the floor. Passively she listened to Syn speak as she laid out her plans, the ribboned mutant's gaze following the wolf boy as he slunk back to his previous seat. She was only mildly surprised at what Syn proposed. After all, they were slowly working to gain control in the world, it would certainly be quite the show to capture Fort Knox. And assuming all the Stalker bots had been put out of commission, infiltration should be so much easier. Isabel was just itching to play with a few law enforcers, and this would provide the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Easily she leaned back in her throne, looking far more at ease than she had the past few minutes. She was calm and collected once more, any and all anger having settled just as quickly as it had boiled to the surface. Seeing the cause of your irritation writhing in pain and then being reduced to a dust coughing heap on one of the pews can do wonders for one's temper. Lazily she turned her attention away from the two newcomers sulking in their seats and looked back to Syn. "Fort Knox, huh? Sounds like a blast," she commented, her grin still firmly in place. "Do you already have something planned out for all of us, or is this a work in progress?" she questioned, looking to her Leader with curiosity. She didn't particularly want to spend a whole lot of time on planning and hammering out details. It was so much more fun just to get in on the action after a very short briefing on what was to be done. And then as an after thought she asked, "Ooh, do we get new toys to play with as well?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
((OOC: OK, since we're tied into the Future Plot I'm wanting to also tie in our current status to building up to the Future to make it flow together.))
The initial reaction was one of astonishment which pleased Syn. If her own members were shocked by hearing that then so would the rest of the world. The fact was that hitting Fort Knox was only part of the plan. It was to not only make a statement and announce who they were but it was also a diversion. "I'm so glad you all have shown interest. The truth of the matter is that I don't care if we get inside Fort Knox or not. The act will announce who we are to the world. It will show them that we are a powerful force. What it will not show them is our true plan."
The wicked girl sat back in her chair. Anyone looking at her could tell there was great anger and hatred swelling inside of her begging to be unleashed. "The humans have gone too far with their little Registration and imprisonment of mutants. They deserve to be severely punished, and they will be. Right now as we speak there are people working round the clock to mass produce a Haywire virus that I plan to blanket this world in like a smothering blanket. Do not worry yourselves however. All of you will be treated with an anti-Haywire serum." Syn let that sink in for a moment. She knew her flock would be hesitant about having Haywire everywhere especially those who know it's effects.
"The virus has been engineered to be spread first as an airborne pathogen. Once inside the body it then can be spread by contact to further the spread. Those mutants who wish to be saved wil come to us. Any others who would stand with the humans will suffer."
Syn stood up and her voice became more emotional. "The humans left their mark on us and this will be our mark upon them. We will show them how weak and feeble they are. It's our time to rule this world and we will lead the way!"
Amp returned both Packmaster's and Gore's dirty look with a devilish smirk. Their reactions to such a mild attack unconsciously satisfied her to an usual extent. After being deprived of sound for so long, she was more than ready to use it to her advantage again, and to take it to a new level.
With that little diversion taken care of, the girls returned their full attention to Syn. The young woman's announcement elicited a classic twin reaction from the petite redheads.
" "Fort Knox??" " Amp and Vibe chorused, then shared a double-take.
Their amazed outburst mingled with those of the newer members of the group. Noting this, Amp schooled herself to a show of indifference. Vibe, on the other hand, let her jaw drop.
"You're serious?" the longer-haired twin asked, then clarified, "Not that I don't doubt we could do it. But why? That gold won't do us much good if we can't covert it to cash." However, her eyes did began to almost glow thinking about that much cash flow.
Then Syn explained the actual plan, and that Fort Knox was merely a distraction. The girls again fell to attentive silence. Until Syn mentioned the real plan.
" "Haywire??!" "
This time even Amp couldn't keep the astonishment off of her face. They remembered having to fight that crazy wolfgirl from the Mansion, when she was hyped up on Haywire serum. And they'd seen the videos of the other test subjects in that project. However, their reactions revealed a slight shift in their usual cohesiveness.
A smirk made its way across Amp's features. She really could care less about 'ruling the world'. Of course the humans needed to be put down in their rightful place as servants to mutants, but she really didn't care much about being 'in charge'. Revenge, on the other hand, appealed to her the most. All of the pain, grief, heartache and humiliation she'd experienced because of Registration; she have the chance to return it hundredfold, without hardly lifting a finger. Now that was worth fighting for.
Vibe picked up on the animosity practically radiating from her sister, and in turn shrunk away a bit. She thought over the numerous refugees she'd come across in the Labs, and the variety of their mutations. She imagined the ramifications of even a fraction of them reacting to Haywire. Sure most mutants needed a dose of reality to show them that they were the new, superior species in the world. But what if they all went Haywire at once? Would there be anything, or anyone left to rule?
"How soon will it be ready?" Vibe asked casually, feigning indifference.
Shade let out a low whistle at the mention of the Haywire virus. He had never actually felt its effects or seen what it could do, but he had heard of it. A virus designed from a girl's mutantation. A virus that crippled humans and caused mutant powers to be enhanced beyond imagination. Yes, Shade could see how the virus could upset the balance of power.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to Shade like the prick of a needle, yet straight into his heart. Was it just him or was Syn takng this revenge-thing a little too far? The shadowy mutant wouldn't dare voice the thought to the general assemble, and he quickly dismissed the thought. Yet, the tiny pain remained, embeddled in left part of his chest where the cardioc muscle beating softly.
