The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Geo couldn't help but here a odd tone in the clones voice, but Geo decided to write it off as just anxiousness of being home. Looking around you could tell which people had been in the Order for a while and which were the newbies. The senior members walked around and spoke among eachother while the newer members stood around awkardly like a kid on the first day of school in a new town. But one daring girl walked over to one of the clones and boldly proclaimed her name. Unfortunatly for he Abyss was already speaking with some of the members so Geo did his smooth thing and slipped between her and Abyss' back and held out his hand. "Well Teresa, my name is Geo and i don't believe i've had the pleasure of meeting you either." He put on his charming smile , a gleem in his eye. He had to admit that he and Abyss did know how to attract a crowd. He had to try this at a club later.
Shade had slid his hands behind his head as he waited for the important stuff, if there ever was going to be anything important. Mostly, it appeared just to be a nice get-together. Shade let out a frustrating sigh at the thought. Man, he hated these things.
When the large man from the labs (or one of them) appraoched him and offered his hand, Shade just gave a slight gesture with his head to acknowledge it. He then shifted his unseen eyes towards the wolf next to him. It hadn't stopped staring at him yet.
More and more members filtered in to the cathedral at their own pace. It wasn't a timed event or anything so none of it was bothering Syn. She was enjoying seeing everyone interact. Sort of like old blood meeting new blood and seeing how they mix. Now that was an interesting analogy. Syn knew there was still at least one person missing but until then she continued to allow everyone to speak.

Kami entered the cathedral and took in the sights of the assembled mutants. He looked for an empty spot and moved to take a seat. While he had happily agreed to join the Order, he was not very familiar with everyone. He'd met a few working with the resistance, but not formed any lasting friendship.
Isabel's gaze shifted away from the half of the sonic duo that had approached her and turned toward one of the seven red giants that littered the Cathedral. She still had difficulty separating the clones from the original. Heck, she had difficulties separating one clone from the next. She was trying to teach herself the different personality quirks of each, but it was a slow process and would still take some time before she could accurately identify each of them correctly. At the current time she just stuck with little nicknames. It simplified things. Casually she let her gaze follow the red guy's directions as he motioned from one mutant to the next and gave a brief description of each of their powers. So, the young woman was a healer. Nothing too spectacular there. At least not in Isabel's mind. She'd met a few healers before. They came in handy at times, but for the most part it seems to be a fairly useless mutation, especially if one was involved with a group like the Order. Trouble and fights seemed to follow them everywhere. As the young man was brought to attention, Isabel's eyes lazily redirected their sights on him. A rock manipulator seemed much more useful. Being able to control the very ground you stood on would give a great advantage in a fight, both as offensive and defensive. A much better mutation to have in Isabel's books. Provided the kid knew what he was doing and had some control behind his abilities. She raised an eyebrow curiously as her head turned in order for her to see another young man, one that she'd not seen enter at first. Shadow Tricks sounded like they had a lot of potential for fun. A well-executed sneak attack was a good asset for any team. The wolf guy's powers still seemed to be a mystery, leaving everyone to only guess. Perhaps with the exception of Syn. Their Leader no doubt knew more than most of them did.
"Thanks for the run down, Big Guy," she replied, throwing in her most common nickname for the big red individuals. At least now she had some idea as to what everyone did. She liked having some kind of knowledge as opposed to nothing at all, even if that knowledge was fairly vague. As the doors opened once more and yet another young man strode in, Isabel let her head fall back against the chair once more as she watched him approach and find himself a seat. Just how many people were going to continue trickling in? The slightest bit of impatience was growing in her mind as everyone mingled. She would speak to the new members soon enough, though she'd prefer to learn a bit more about them beforehand. She assumed Syn would be quieting everyone down for their introductions and plotting soon enough, though Isabel had never been one to like waiting for very long. But out or respect for the elder members, her friends and Leader, she would behave herself. With a slight sigh she just settled back down into her chair, her attention shifting up to the ceiling, following the curves of the rafters in an attempt to keep her mind occupied while she waited.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Sonya/Teresa looks up at Abyss’ voice and silently blesses him for keeping his mouth shut about her real talent. The fewer people who know about that, the better.
"Yup. I’d demonstrate, but I kinda like this shirt. Also a bit stronger and faster than you might think, though in this room that’s not saying much." She’d been unsure about whether to mention that, but better to volunteer it than have someone notice and become suspicious.
> "Well Teresa, my name is Geo and I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you either."
"Well, that’s reassuring, " she replies with a broad, lazy grin, taking his hand firmly. Yup… mutant. No surprise there. "I’d hate to think we’d met and I forgot a charmer like you." She tilts her head to one side and looks him over carefully. "So… rocks, huh? " It’s a fairly straightforward mutation compared to some, but her guess is it isn’t one she’ll be able to copy.
Meanwhile, she watches the other interactions. Shade is standing around like someone’s awkward younger brother, which is no surprise – she’d gotten the impression when they’d worked together that he was something of a loner. Syn was standing back and observing while her brother worked the crowd… again, no surprise. And Isabel was settling into one of those ridiculous chairs like she’d had one all her life, completing the unsurprising trifecta.
The newest arrival, on the other hand, is at least intriguing. She wonders what his story is, but expects she’ll find out soon enough.
(OCC: Again, sorry for the lengthy reply. Sonya, I hope I got the right profile appearance for Theresa. Let me know if not.)
Amp returned Isabel's smile as she approached. "Hi Amp! It's good to see you again. How have you been?"
"Pretty good. Making up for lost shopping time," the shorter-haired redhead replied happily. She twirled a bit, showing off her green and ivory wrap-dress and matching heeled sandals. The outfit was simple, really, but luxury compared the ugly gray sacks from the camps. "How 'bout you? Sorry about not coming to your trial. I would have given ya a character witness, but those Labcoats made sure I was stuck in bed the whole time." She scowled expressively, then smiled once more and leaned against the throne. "But at least you're out now."
"You know anything about the new kids?"
Amp shook her head and turned to examine the new arrivals again. She let Vibe fill her in on the various introductions, and moved her eyes accordingly. Anyone that didn't know her would never suspect that she couldn't hear.
Meanwhile, Vibe flinched slightly when a shadowy figure appeared out of nowhere, without the sound of footsteps to announce him. An interesting mixture of dislike, admiration and distrust scrolled across her features as she recognized Shadowman from the canteen. She'd managed to get all of the red from their 'soda scuffle' out of her outfit, but was still a bit ticked off that it had even happened. And she still blamed him for it, despite reality blamed her own clumsiness.
Still, he had survived a Stalker encounter. And the whole shadow thing was rather appealing....
“She heals.” Vibe turned her attention to translating when Abyss began introducing the new people, considering them silently as he did. Theresa, for instance, seemed rather plain in the mutation department. So instead Vibe scrutinized her appearance. Blond, blue-eyed, tanned and athletic; no wonder Geo seemed taken with her. Mentally Vibe 'hrmphed'.
>Blond is sooo over-rated. And I'll bet she's wearing contacts. Not to mention green would've been better with that complexion.< Up by Isabel's throne, Amp snickered.
“He controls Rocks.”
>Rocks? Mmmm.... I'll bet that's a blast at parties. Maybe we should take him on our next shopping spree.<
Abruptly she flinched. Amp had clamped down on her sister's vibrations, shutting her off for just a brief second. But the reaction was so sudden and fast, Vibe felt as if a door had been slammed in her face. The hostility surprised her so much that she nearly missed the next introduction, Shadowman's.
“That guy that came out of nowhere, has some shadow Tricks, and I am guessing Packmaster there has some sort of understanding with wolves. I am Abyss, Nice to meet new blood.”
Vibe eyed the Wolf Whisperer warily. He definitely qualified as interest-worthy to her, but those were some biiiiiig canines by his side. The further away they stayed, the better. Such a quandary.
At the very last, one more new person entered the Cathedral, very quietly. Vibe didn't question her sister this time as she passed him off without a second thought. They never did care for bald men. Unless they had money, of course.
Amp decided she'd had enough of the introductions, and sighed dramatically.
"Looks like you've been busy lately, Syn. It's good to be back with all of you again. But you know what would make me reeeeaaaly happy?" Her green eyes seemed to pulse slightly, as she turned to look over Issie's head at the black-and-red haired woman. "If all of this 'recruiting' means that we're about to do something. Preferably something that includes payback."
An annoying buzz momentarily echoed off of the wall and ceiling, as if someone had loosed a bee hive somewhere nearby, before fading away.
Packmaster and his wolves flinched slightly at the sudden noise. Though he was interested in the female's words, he was more interested in the twin of the female, who had given him an intrigueing look. Chuckling a bit at the apprehensive look she gave to his packmates, he waved them off to go explore.
Tomak started walking around, cataloging everyones scents, not including those up on the thrones, but Darmad just walked to a pillar, and laid down, out of the way.
Packmaster looked back to Vibe, "What is your name?"
Vibe relaxed a bit as the giant canines decided to express interest elsewhere. The further away the better, though she expected they would be great to have fighting beside you in a scrap. As long as they knew who's side they were on....
"What is your name?"
Vibe glanced up at the wolves' master, taking a closer look. He was taller than her; not unusual since the petite redhead stood only a few inches over five feet. The hairstyle seemed rather disheveled, but his outfit surely inspired interest. Usually guys only went shirtless if they were too hot, or thought they were hot. But which was he?
"Vibe. And you?" She didn't let on that she had been able to hear Syn name him. She smiled at him, deceptively innocent.

The time had passed since Jason last had any real contact with anybody. Ever since his small break down in the labs Jason started feeling sad for himself. He felt weak, as if he was one of those mutants that he hated him self. One that could do nothing for them selves and just depended on others. It was a cool night out side. He walked the streets in a pair of scrubby clothes that and a brown grungy leather jacket that he took off of a homeless guy he shared a gym floor the night prior. He walked the streets catching dirty looks from people that thought he was just worthless. And that was just cause they thought he was another worthless homeless guy just looking for a hand out. If they would have known he was a mutant then things were sure to have gotten even worse from there. Jason made his way to a large building that he was putting off showing up at. His eyes gave the place a quick once over and he moved on. His hands pressed up against the huge heavy doors. He gave a push and they opened as if they only weighed a few pounds. Jason stepped through the door and heard nothing. It was late and quite know body seemed to be around. He slide his hands in his pockets touching old nasty snot rags from the man that owned it before him. He moved on looking from room to room. He had no idea why he was here. Or what to expect from anything he found on his visit.
Finally he heard voice. Not to loud to be able to give a pin point position. But it was good enough to lead him in a direction. After walking from room to room which seemed like for ever he mad it to the room. Just on the other side Jason could hear the voice of random people have conversion’s as if they were being introduced for the first time. He pushed on he doors which reviled a room that look incredible. The sight of the room made him forget about everybody else that stood in the room. Jason stood in the door like a kid standing at the front of the toy store. The room was something else. But only held his attention for a short time before he crashed back on earth. Jason took a seat close to the door. He looked around seeing a few people he remembered from the labs but didn’t remember anything to particular about anybody. He took in notes of the man sitting with two mutts that didn’t seem to leave his side… a young woman who sat in a throne that was three sizes to big for her. And then he saw one of the girls he remembered peeling off in her sports car from the labs… Wait he thought. His eyes couldn’t be playing tricks on him. There in front of him stood twins. Shit today had to be his lucky day now. Jason just continued to take in everything and listened to little bits and pieces of things that were being said across the room.
Isabel was pleased to hear that Amp was doing well. She was also pleased to hear the young woman had been catching up on her shopping. Normally that would be nothing out of the ordinary, but knowing the twins such an ordinary activity usually turned into something far more destructive. Anything that caused damage to human property was worthy of approval to Isabel. Doubly so if the police took notice and got involved. You'd think that by now she'd be sick and tired of New York's law enforcers after the ordeals she'd been through, but for her own twisted little reasons it just made her grin and long to spend even more time with them. Preferably if she could play with a few, rather than being stuck in one place and monitored by them. And now that that Hellish bracelet was long gone, she figured she could resume having fun. "I'm doing very well myself," she replied with another smile directed at the mischievous redhead that stood not too far away. "These humans can try their damnedest to break me down and make me conform to their laws, but I'm always going to come out on top. It's going to take more than some silly little trial to pin me down," she continued, her smile morphing into more of a prideful grin. She had a tendency to boast every now and again, but after those particular circumstances she figured she had a bit of a right to do so. For a short while, at least. "Aw, don't even worry about not making it. Not like you could help it. Though I appreciate your wanting to help. You ever need a hand with anything, I'm here for you. Don't hesitate to give me a call if something needs destroying or someone needs to be put in line," she concluded, giving a wink to the half of the dangerous duo, her grin turning devious.
As the doors opened and closed once more, the resulting muffled bang of door against doorframe caught her attention and drew her gaze down out of the rafters and redirected it toward the back of the large room. One eyebrow raised curiously as the newest addition to their growing group didn't bother to make it past the first few rows of benches and instead settled down by the door. Sitting in the back of the room all by his onesises. We couldn't have that, now could we? Easily righting her position in the throne that had been placed at the front of the Cathedral, she then stood and casually sauntered her way down one of the isles toward where the newest young man had seated himself. Languidly she approached and plopped herself down on the same bench as casually as if she'd known this young man for years. In imitation of her previous position in her throne, she propped her knees up against the back of the bench in front of them and leaned back against her own seat, her arms crossing as her head rolled back and her gaze turned to take in the individual that she'd sat next to. "You must be another new member, huh?" she inquired. It was a rhetorical question, of course. She knew very well that he was another one of the new additions to the Order. "So what is it you can do? Anything bizarre or useful?" she spoke, continuing to question him. She was curious and wanted to at least learn what everyone could do, especially this one since he seemed so antisocial. Hey, it was his own fault for sitting by the door. "What're you doing way back here anyways? In case you haven't noticed, the party's up at the front of the room. Why not come and mingle? Get to know some of your new teammates?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

Jason leaned back on the bench, resting his back trying to find the most comfortable position possible. But know so luck. Maybe it was the stiff backing of the bench, or the fact the after only sitting a few minutes his ass began to hurt worse then his back. But who was he to complain. For the past few days they were spent wondering the city, stealing a meal or two to get by and spent the nights laying on the gym floor room across town. Jason looked around and continued to listen to the conversations that he could pick up. Here and there he missed a word or two but he was sure nothing of any importance was being said. Just as his ass feel asleep and he began to get somewhat comfortable the young lady that was sitting in the thrown was now seated only inches away.
He didn’t even realize what happen. He looked over at her. She was young but older. She had this crazy look of innocents to her. But the look in her eye’s told a different story. Things began to race through his mind. Just what was he really doing here. Why did he show up. And why where all these people really her. But before he could say anything to here she spoke first. And wouldn’t stop! Question after question she began to ask as though they had been catching up on old times. His jaw dropped to finally answer her question but before he could get a word out she was already asking something else. He just waited till she was done and turned to her. He looked over her head making sure he could see the door at all time and let out a deep breath.
Jason looked down at his hands and looked at all the scares that could tell about a million stories that came along with his ability. He looked back at the young lady trying to play off the fact he knew she was there but knew she wasn’t going any place anytime soon. “Umm I really don’t have anything that’s bizarre, its all normal to me.” He told her trying to be as polite as he could with out coming off as a ass. But not getting a good night sleep in the past two weeks brought the ass out of him anyways. “But to be honest with you I sat back here cause I thought I would have been bothered.” He told her watching back at the door again. Jason wasn’t the smartest person, you might even get by at saying he was a little slow. But what he did have was street smarts and when ever you go some place new its always a smart choice to sit by a door cause you never know what’s gonna happen. Not to much sooner after finishing his last sentence his head snapped back to the front. With a brief pause he turned his head back. “Yeah so I thought someone up front may have called your name. So you might wanna head back up front.” He told her hopping to send her back on her way. It wasn’t that he didn’t wanna talk to her. Know wait he didn’t wanna talk to her, but this was the only way he could have got his point across with out being a total hack ass.
Well wasn't this one just a big bundle of sunshine? How is it that Isabel always managed to find someone that either disliked her on sight, or found some way to want to get rid of her within moments? Well then, so be it. If this one wanted to be cranky, she'd be sure to make a friend out of him somehow. It would be more challenging and fun that way. Besides, she still didn't know what it was he could do. And she wanted to find out. However, the answer she got was less than satisfying. A slight frown tugged at her mouth as the question was skirted around. "No fair, trying to wriggle out of giving me an answer," she said, giving a bit of a pout. "Everyone here is bizarre in some way. We may not see ourselves as bizarre, but to someone else you may be out of the ordinary. My own mutation is quite odd. It's as natural as breathing to me, but some people are a bit put off by it," she continued, one of her hands lifting as he gaze shifted to absentmindedly examine her hand. Lazily she twisted it this way and that, as if searching for imperfections in the skin. As the pout turned into more of a smirk, the skin on her hand seemed to bubble a bit, the flesh bulging and then sinking and even writhing a little in small patches in random areas of the digits. Gradually it slowed to a stop and she let her hand drop, as if bored with her actions. She wasn't going to go as far as actually reveal that it was her bones that were shifting around. It was just too much fun toying with people a bit. She also wanted to see what kinds of mutations his mind could think up and what kinds of possibilities he may pin on her for a while. Casually she looked back over to the young man she'd sat with, giving a charming little smile, pretending like her less than revealing demonstration hadn't even taken place.
"Wouldn't have been bothered?" she parroted, tilting her head slightly as if in confusion with such a simple statement. Not a very subtle 'get lost, kid' now was it? She knew perfectly well that it was a hint for her to take off and leave him be, but for the moment she was playing dumb, acting as if it had gone right over her head. Like she would be leaving right now? Please. "In a group this size you honestly didn't think anyone would come and say hello? Now that's just illogical," she continued, giving a slight nod of her head as if agreeing with herself. "We're all friends here in this lovely organization. Some even close enough to be called a family of sorts. If you expect to be an effective part of our little group, you've got to get to know everyone. You can't hide in the back and expect to be left alone all the time," she concluded, still watching him with that relaxed air about her. She could see very well that his attention was not fully focused on her. She also knew that the door was not far behind her. It wasn't hard to connect the dots. This man wasn't the best at stealth, and Isabel wasn't nearly as slow as she pretended to be from time to time. "You're not thinking of taking off, are you? You just got here. Surely you can't be thinking of leaving so soon?" she asked, placing just the slightest hint of disappointment in her tone of voice, as if she were really upset that he'd even think of such a thing. There really wasn't any reason for him to leave. Aside from the little spats between Kaz and Syn, there's been little to no violence taking place within the Order. Sure it was a new environment for the new members, but really, was it all so unnerving that one would feel they'd need to make a quick getaway?
And as he pointed out that someone had called her, she never even bothered to glance up to the front of the room. In a place like the Cathedral, voices echoed and carried rather easily. She would have heard someone calling. She knew very well it was just another way for him to tell her to beat it and go play with her other teammates. Tsk, tsk. Did he honestly think that was going to work with her? "You need to work on your manners, kid," she said rather bluntly, raising an eyebrow and giving another smirk as she appraised him, her attitude changing from more childish to a bit more mature. "If you didn't want to talk to people, you shouldn't have situated yourself in a room full of them. Though I suppose avoiding this wouldn't really matter. Either Syn or one of us would have caught up with you eventually," she commented, almost as if she was halfway talking to herself, simply speaking her thoughts aloud. There was no threat held in that last sentence, just a simply stated fact. It was important that each member of the Order be aware of what was happening with the group, after all. "Anyways, I think it's rather comfortable back here, don't you? I may just have to stay here for a little while," she continued, a bold faced lie held in her statements. The was already missing those marvelous thrones that Syn had stationed at the front. They were far more comfortable than the pews. However, she wasn't about to let on that she was fed up with the wooden benches. Not yet anyways. "You'll have to get used to having me around eventually. Might as well start getting used to it now," she concluded, a devilish element coloring her devious little grin as she tilted her head once more and looked to her new acquaintance.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Members new and old gathered within the cathedral and began talking to one another. Though some showed some attitude and others kept to themselves it all was expected. Syn knew most of the people here and so she knew their personalities. It was very amussing to see them interact. The true test would be seeing them working together whether in small teams or as a whole. From the various talents that were assembled Syn, with the help of some others, had put together a very powerful group with many possibilities.
The Order already had her brother's massive strength and numbers, Isabel's fighting prowess and bone weapons, Amp and Vibes sound manipulation and Syn's strength and strong influencial ability. She kept her adaptiveness a secret from everyone as she loved the shock factor it could provide. Now they had added Sonya/Teresa's specialties, Kami's energy and fighting ability, Geo's rock and earth elemental power, Shade's shadow jumping and Packmasters ability to creat a small wolf army. The potential for causing some serious damage was beautiful.
At a point when the conversations had either paused or the volume had lowered Syn cleared her throat loud enough for all to hear. It was time to start bringing things together.
"Welcome to Sanctuary for those of you who are new here, and welcome home to those who have been here from the beginning. As you all can see things have been very busy around here in getting Sanctuary back in order and adding some new additions such as this." Syn opens her arms in a gesture to point out the cathedral then returns her attention back to the others. "I'm very pleased that we have our new members joining us in our cause. I know getting through the Registration act was no easy task for anyone of us. Some had it harder than others but all mutants suffered from it. It's good to know there are others willing and wanting to help us and for that I thank you." Finishing her statement Syn nodded in the general direction of the new members to show her appreciation.
"I believe we are the future of this world. We are evolutions next step to greatness and dominance. We must show these pathetic humans that mutants are the greater power. We are destined to be the rulers while they serve our needs. Should they oppose us or attempt to cage us like animals again then we shall crush them underfoot." Clenching her fist in front of her Syn uses it as a symbol that she means what she's saying.
Relaxing her arm back down onto her throne the girl looks around to all in attendance. "I know there may be doubts because of my age but I assure you that doesn't gauge what I'm capable of. We have fought and beaten the X-Men before and with our added strength I know we can do it time and time again. As for Hunter goes I have something of a truce with him. He has agreed to fight the X-Men as well but I know he's out for his own goals. So we must watch our back with him. As for the humans go. They must pay for what they've done to us mutants."
Calming herself down Syn relaxes back into her throne. "If anyone of you would like to say something then please feel free to do so."
Shade allowed his smirk to spread into a full smile as Syn began to speak of the coming doom of humans. Those pesky insects; the only thing they could do was slow the ineviable. The mutants were destined to rule the Earth and it was time they began to realize that.
As their leader finished the first part of her speech, Shade couldn't help expressing a small fist pump at the statement. However, when she continued, the shadowy mutant became even more interested. As Syn began to explain about the X-men, Shade slid his feet from the seat in front of him and leaned foreward slightly with interest.had only visited the mutant mansion once, several years back. It had been a place to run before Shade had had a place to go. He had felt the place was too friendly towards the humans. and now, he knew that for sure.
Then Syn explained the situation with the other organization. Obviously, they were separate, but at the moment, both wanted at least one thing: the removal of the X-men. Syn seemed to be rather timid towards trusting them, and Shade had first-hand knowledge of the 'kindness' they had to offer. His head still had a slight lump on it. And what had been his reward for all that, a simple map of the complex with little detail that would help them out.
Shaking off the disappointment, Shade again lended back into the pew. Syn had called for any other speakers. Shade wasn't going to blab his mouth, He'd let some other hotshot have that honor.
