The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mutations
Mutation description: Malachite Transformation-- Vincent's atoms rearrange their protons and neutrons to a strange, malachite-looking substance almost hard as diamond. A special current running through his body allows him to activate it at will. As far as he knows, all body processes are stopped except for the current and his conscious, somehow. He cannot move at all in this form, and is quite heavy. His clothes retain their original material. He can transform small parts of his body, like hands or feet, but it is heavy, and only useful with momentum. Strengths: He is nearly invulnerable and is bulletproof. The material seems unbreakable and has held from a four storey drop. Weaknesses: Can't move and can't see or hear, so perception of the environment is zero. When using a transformed hand or foot, it is heavy and the joints are unmovable.
Explanation: More street than anything else, with some random karate moves thrown in. Mostly instinctual. Pros for fighting style: Is effective against regular street thugs, since their fighting style is much the same. Cons for fighting style: It is often inaccurate and is nothing against someone who is trained in fighting.

Vincent Oxenford stood atop a building, scanning the streets for a criminal to bust. Tonight, like every other night, was a routine patrol. Vincent had already busted a carjacker and a drug dealer so far tonight. He pulled the police radio he had 'found' from his belt and listened. He had a hard time hearing with the helmet on. His head itched and he longed to take his damned hood off, but he couldn't in public. He knew that anyone could be watching.
"HQ to all all available squads: we have a mugging going on, three males against a young male and female couple. Repeat..."
Vincent listened and he heard the location. He turned off the radio and jumped off of the building, carefully positioning himself to land on the next roof. He ran and went to the next, and the next, and so on.
He got to the street corner, and saw three men, thugs, by the look of them, and they cornered and were harassing a young couple, probably in their late twenties. Vincent jumped and transformed to produce a loud, unpleasant scraping sound. The thugs turned around nervously. Vincent returned to his human form and smiled behind the scarf. "Three little monkeys jumping on the bed..." Ugly Thug #1 spoke first.
"You better get outta here. We'll hurt you. We've been working these streets for years." His voice sounded middle aged.
"Uh, I think not. I'll give you three to the count of five to clear out before I start cracking your skulls. One..." They didn't move. "Two..." The third one twitched, but remained in place. "Three..." The third one twitched and shifted his feet, getting ready to take off. "Four..." The same one booked, taking off at full speed down the street. The others glared after him, but stayed put. "Five. Your friend was wise."
Vincent jumped and flipped over them, landing in front of the couple, who had been staring the whole time. He rotated in front of them and faced the thugs. He grabbed the first one's head and hit it against the brick wall. There was a crack and blood poured out of the wound. He faced the second one, who was pale. He smiled and held up his hand, and clenched a fist and slammed it into the man's nose. The thug gasped as blood gushed out of his now broken nose. He scrambled to pull out his gun and Vincent just grabbed it and threw it away. He transformed his fist and swung at the thug, who was hit in the shoulder with a loud crack and stumbled back... and hit his head on the brick wall behind him. He was unconscious.
Vincent turned to the couple. "Uh, you should probably call the cops and tell them to bring an ambulance for the dumb one. Oh, and thanks for not freaking out. I got a good bruise for that last week..."
The young couple stared in shock after the superhero as he ran, faster than average and disappeared around a corner.
When Vincent got home to his apartment, he took off his scarf an hood, set the scarf on the designated stand, and scratched his head like crazy. Vincent scowled.
