The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Early Morning Routines and Greetings (Twyla/Henri)
It was a cold afternoon in January at Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters and everyone seemed to be contently asleep in there beds. It was early morning, or at least early morning by most peoples standards and hardly anyone was up. This was most typical for a place nearly entirely inhabited with teenagers and young adults whose normal sleep patterns ranged from going to sleep at two and waking up at twelve.
However, this was not the case for Ruby or Emerald Lupin the two youngest Lupin sisters. The girls had woken up at 5 AM, made themselves breakfast , just before Emerald went off on her normal exercise routine. This leaving her baby sister all alone in the big mansion living room by herself. Ruby was content with this however, this giving her a chance to continue reading her issue of Scientific Journal in order to catch up on the latest scientific discoveries made in the field or in the lab.
So, after Emerald left around 7 Ruby placed the massive amounts of leftovers in Tupperware before she made her way from the kitchen into the living room with her issue tucked safely under her arm. The fox girl wore red pajama shirt and pants with little yellow lightening bolts with red socks with the same design. Ruby flopped down on the couch and peeled the pages of the magazine open to flip to the robotics section about artificial intelligence becoming more and more advanced. A small smile crept the the fox girls face, thinking that the magazine was a little slow on the get go on that note.
On one of the pages there was a picture of one of the Stalkers from the Registration act and Ruby frowned a little. Ruby wouldn't normally tear a page out of her favorite magazine but today she would make an exception. The page of the magazine that had all the schematics, the descriptions of how efficiently the robot work and would capture mutants made Ruby ill. Science, in Ruby's own opinion, should only be used if there was no damage done to innocent lives. Using those robots on mutants to deliver them into the camps was an example of how those robots could damage as well as destroy innocent lives, this was not what science was made for. Ruby had torn out the paper with great vehemence ,crumpling it up and throwing it onto the floor.
Looking back into the book, a large grin once again crept across Ruby's face. There was an entire article about Robots made out of soup cans that could Deliver drinks. While these robots had already been featured before, the articles showed refinement on them so this gave Ruby a chance to take note of what they had improved and make notes to improve her own models.
“Maybe I could make a robot to teach Emmy how to cook normal things better.” Ruby stated out loud, before laughing an adorable little laugh, fox ears perked up. “Or maybe I could fly to the moon with Soda powered jet pack.”
Ruby just sat on the large couch, reading the articles eagerly. She found a pencil on the coffee table beginning to circle and underline things. It was rather cute really, how the little girls face was filled with wonder and joy as she looked through the magazine, she was like a kid on Christmas. It was hard to believe that the innocent looking young fox girl was in any way related to the rough and tumble werewolf known as Emerald Lupin.
“I hope Emmy comes home without any wounds this time.” Ruby muttered to herself with a sigh. “The last thing she needs is another bullet wound.”
However, this statement didn't mess with her mood because the smile and the innocent look on her face was still there. Ruby just hoped that Emerald didn't do anything too reckless today...maybe she needed something else to keep her mind off of her danger seeking big sister.

Twyla had made a promise to herself that everyday (instead of just three times a week to jog-run) she would get up early and workout. She and Henri had made the promise to each other that they would get up early together and do some kind of physical activity in order to get themselves back into shape. (Neither girl was really terribly out of shape to begin with, but they felt as if they were.) They had decided to meet every morning at around seven in the foyer to catch a bus together and go to the local YMCA. Twyla had been a little early, so she decided to watch the news. A note had been left on Henrietta's door across the hall, alerting her of this plan.
Slowly, very slowly the girl had made her way down to the living room. She was dressed in sweatpants, and a thin tank top over her purple sports bra (the bright bra was half visible through the light pink top). When she walked into the living room she was surprised to find it already occupied, by a girl in red pajamas with fox ears reading a magazine.
"You scared me!" She exclaimed as well as she could in her tired state, it wasn't a very convincing tone to say the least. Taking another glance at the girl she got the feeling that she was familiar for some reason. 'Do I know--" A pause as the girl remembered where she'd seen a similar image. "Are you Emerald's sister?" Her tone was brighter now and she looked much more alert with her realization.
"What are you reading?" She asked, walking over and sitting on the other side of the couch. Normally Twyla would have been more conscious of personal space and how rude some people might find it that she was just sitting down. Twyla was very tired so these things didn't occur to her. Normally getting up semi-early wasn't a big deal for her but lately she'd been having nightmares about giant monsters with cold tentacles...
Henrietta sat up and yawned. Turning, she glared at the evil alarm clock that shrieked at her to get up. Muttering, she hit the 'off' button. "Leave me alone." Pulling herself out of bed, she got herself dressed. She had decided to wear a pair of lime green sweatpants and a multi-colored t-shirt. Putting her hair up in a ponytail, she thought about how weird she was for wanting to get up to exercise. Opening her bedroom door, she saw a note. She ripped it off and read. Twyla's up early? Silly girl.. "To the foyer!" Henri lazily jogged toward the room where her friend was.
Entering the large room, she saw Twyla and then a small girl. She had fox ears. Henri tilted her head. Hadn't she seen her on something? Hmm. Hmmmm...Oh! That picture that Emmy showed us! Aw, it's her little sister. Walking up next to Twyla, she turned and grinned weakly. "Good morning. You got up earlier that the usual early. Aren't you tired?" The brunette smiled at the younger girl in the most cheerful way possible. Well, at least as much as possible for a 16 year-old girl who had just woken up minutes before. "I'm Henrietta Braun. Lots of people call me Henri. Feel free to call me which ever." She paused for breath. For some reason, the sentences had become smushed together and the girl didn't stop for air. "What's your name?"
Henri almost asked if she was Emerald's sister, but had just heard Twyla ask her the same question before knowing what was going on. She really wasn't awake yet and this tended to make her seem a bit, well, dumb. Most of the time, she avoided long conversations when she was like this. Her friend Twyla had already seen her like this, but she hadn't even heard the other girl's name. Henrietta reached up and rubbed sleepily at her left eye. She would wait to see what the other girls said or did before making a fool out of herself.
Ruby's ears twitched when she heard someone enter the room. It was a surprise for the young kit because not many people were up at the same time she and her sister were up at. Ruby looked up at the girl who addressed her as 'Emeralds sister' and a happy smiled split across her face. Normally, Ruby wouldn't be so keen as just being known as Emerald's sister however, the way the other girl said her older sisters named seemed to not have any trace of fear or malice in it, something Ruby was sort of used to for having a older sister who didn't play by the rules.
When the other girl came in, Ruby's grinned widened a bit, fluffy fox tail curling around her body. The young girl had a cute child like charm about her that even showed her smiles. If the other girl knew Emerald too, that meant that Emerald made two new friends, which was really good for her Loner big sister.
“Yes I'm Emeralds little sister, Ruby, nice to meet you Miss Henri! And Miss...person I hope will introduce herself soon." Ruby smiled at both girls she then looked at Henri with an enamored expression upon fully realizing how tall the girl was before she sat down. “Wow you're so tall...THATS AWESOME!” Ruby exclaimed with all the gleeful energy she could muster this early in the morning. She took a second to realize how weird that must have sounded. “Sorry thats so cool though you're tall just like Emerald and Sapphire so you can probably reach stuff in high places!”
After briefly thinking about all the robot parts she could reach without a stool if she was that tall, Ruby snapped back to reality. The young fox girl turned to the cover of her magazine and handed it to Twyla for her to look at.
“Its Popular Science magazine, it shows all of the latest and greatest scientific discoveries the world has made in the past month. The robotics section comes with a few schematics and tips for people to build the robots themselves." Ruby paused for a moment, tapping the eraser end of her pencil up against her chin in thought. “Wait, were you two the same girls that Emmy hung out with the other day? If you were I have been meaning to thank you because Emerald was really happy after words!”
Ruby was obviously now really happy, now that she found the people that may have made her big sister so happy. She hadn't seen her big sister in a good mood like that in a long time so it made her excited that Emerald was making friends that had that affect on her.

It was a party in the living room because right after Twyla spoke Henri came padding into the room looking half asleep. Soon the brunette had introduced herself, reminding the oh-so-groggy blond that she should probably have done the same. Words almost flew out of her mouth but some part of her noted that this was rude and so she waited for Henri to finish talking and for Emerald's little sister to speak before she threw her name in the mix. Less confusion that way. Less work on her part. Less work was good work.
Twyla sunk further into the couch when Ruby (she revealed the name Twyla couldn't remember) got excited about her friend's height. Yeah, yeah. Tall people were overrated in her book. This opinion was kept to herself as Ruby continued answering questions.
Suddenly there was a magazine in her lap. Twyla sat up more and decided it would be worthwhile to speak at this point. "I think I'd like to build a robot...it would burn my calories for me." She smirked in a way that somehow looked tired at Henri. "I'm Twyla by the way...and yes, we were the girls chillin' with your sister the other day. I'm glad that made her happy." This time her smile was large and she looked at the younger girl for a moment, blinking slowly. She realized that staring was weird so she turned back to the magazine on her lap. Thumbing through it she scanned some article titles. "This looks really interesting..."
Forgetting Henri had asked her a question earlier, she suddenly burst out in her exhausted voice: "I couldn't sleep." As if that was all the explanation she needed to give on the subject. Her nightmares weren't something Twyla wanted to talk about at that moment.
The little girl, Ruby, seemed awfully excited by Henrietta’s height. She grinned at the small girl with the fox tail and ears. The brunette couldn’t help but notice how even more adorable the girl was because of these characteristics. She’s so cute! “It’s really nice to meet you too, Ruby. Your sister is very cool. I’m glad she enjoyed hanging out with us. Yeah, I’m pretty tall, I guess. I’ve seen girls over 6 feet tall before. There’s always someone who’ll be shorter than someone else.” Henri stopped to think about that. It wasn’t true. No one was taller that the world’s tallest person. They were the world’s tallest person. “Well, except maybe the person in the record book for being gigantic.”
Realizing she might have said something weird, Henri scratched her head awkwardly and smiled at both girls. Twyla was paging through a magazine that she must’ve gotten from the girl. They had mentioned robots and the girl with the wild hair tried to picture herself owning a robot. “A robot would be awesome,” Henrietta agreed. The blonde then added that she couldn’t sleep. “That must suck. I love sleep.” The girl plopped down on the couch alongside the other girls and sighed slightly. “This couch is weirdly comfy.”
She felt like burrowing down between the cushions and sleeping for days. Henrietta sat up straighter to stop these thoughts otherwise she may actually fall asleep. It would be much harder to try to get up a second time. Looking over at Ruby, she wondered how come only two of the sisters had animalistic features. The oldest sister in the picture that Emerald showed them appeared to be “normal” looking. Henri tried to recall if one parent looked human. Hmm. I think it was…the dad. She remembered how happy they had all looked. That’s how families are suppose to be. It wasn't suppose to be divided between mutants and humans. Weren't they pretty much the same in the long run?
"If I was tall like you Miss Henri I wouldn't have to use the stool to reach my old schematics anymore, but I don't think I would want to be as tall as the tallest person in the world. Then I wouldn't be able fit in my bed anymore." Sure Ruby wanted to be tall but she didn't want to be a giant! If she was a giant then every kid named Jack would be afraid of her and she didnt want anyone to be afraid of her.
Both girls answered Ruby's question and it made her smile gleefully. Her older sister really needed some friends who she could count as members of her 'pack', or at least she did in her opinion. Despite the fact that her older sister was a great and powerful lone wolf, it wouldn't hurt her if she had a pack to go along with her.
“Thats good, my big sister hasn't made new friends in a while now so its good she met you two and she made friends.” Ruby told them honestly, tail swishing back and forth. “For some reason most people are scared of my big sister I don’t know why though.”
Ruby really didn’t know why people were so scared of her big sister. Sure, she did look sort of scary when she was made but that’s because she was mad and everyone was scary when they were mad in the fox girls opinion. It just bothered the young girl that people misunderstood her older sister so much that they were actually afraid of her. Her ears drooped a little at the thought of how bad her sister felt when people cowered away from her when she wasn’t even try to intimidate them.
She listened to them talk about robots for a moment, talking like the robots would burn calories or something and she giggled a little, her ears perking up mood brightening immediately. Ruby had yet to know robots to be able to do that, all she knew is that maybe robots could help burn calories with some kind of work out machine. This idea inspired the little fox girl and she took her notepad from her pajama pocket and scribbled it down.
“Hmm, A robot that helps you exercise, im going to have to put that down on my to do list and make a schematic for it later today.” Ruby pondered aloud. Before looking at the two girls,"If you guys want to burn calories maybe you should run with Emmy, shes on her five mile run right now." Ruby told them, wondering how her sisters run was going. She knew Emerald had to run in a gym because of the cold weather and she hoped the gym was far warmer than the air outside.
When she thought of how Miss Twyla hadn’t been sleeping well and she immediately assumed it was nightmares. Because that was the only thing that could awake her from her content little slumbers. A horrible nightmare about giant space crabs taking over the world and eating her was usually what kept her awake at night among other creepy nightmares. Her older sister had been having a lot of nightmares lately, she wouldn’t tell her what any of them were about but she thought it had to be something really bad for her to be acting as skittish as she was.
“Maybe you should drink some warm milk Miss Twyla, that always helps me when Im having a hard time sleeping.” Ruby suggested helpfully, tail starting to swish again.
Then Miss Henri talked about how comfy the couch was, the little fox girl snuggled into the couch. Maybe if Miss Twyla slept on the couch, she would wake up easier because she may roll off of the couch and if she is having a bad dream she will wake up easier. Ruby thought as she snuggled into the couch. This really was a very comfortable couch that Ruby made a special note of that if she ever had trouble sleeping in her bed to go sleep on this couch.

Emerald's little sister made a good point when she said she wouldn't be able to fit in her bed if she was giant. Twyla would be very, very upset if she couldn't fit in her bed--even though it hadn't really been helping her sleep much lately. She'd actually fallen out of it a few times that week. Running away from dream monsters never got her anywhere but on the floor and it was very frustrating.
Ruby was very cute and very innocent as far as Twyla could tell. When she began talking about her older sister and how she hadn't made many friends in a while she got a good sense of where the girl's heart was. "Emerald's cool, but some people can't see past rougher exteriors." She shrugged, it was a crappy explanation but Twyla hoped there was a grain of something there that the younger girl could relate to.
At the mention of a five mile run, Twyla glanced at Henri. "I jog a few times a week...my running skills are really poor. I think I'd slow your sister down...and then I would keel over." The laughter that escaped from the blond was sleepy sounding. Holy crap was that couch comfortable.
Both girls commented on her lack of sleeping. "it's just Stuff, it'll pass in time I'm sure...thanks for the suggestion, Ruby." When Henri plopped down she agreed with the comfy couch statement. "I know, right? Best. Couch. Ever." The best couch ever was making Twyla very sleepy, so she tried to sit up a little straighter and distract herself with conversation. "So Ruby, how old are you? I don't think Emerald mentioned it when we hung out..." Or did she? She could have, but if she did Twyla couldn't remember what the wolf girl said.
Ruby didn’t want to be world’s tallest man tall, just Henri tall. Henrietta smiled at the girl. She couldn’t get over how cute she was. Her bushy fox tail would wag randomly as she talked and the way she put ‘miss’ in front of their names was so charming. She was just so sweet and polite. The brunette found herself wishing that she had a little sister. She always wanted siblings, but her mother wouldn’t ever date so there was no way that she was ever going to get a dad or a sibling.
Henrietta listened as Ruby talked about her sister Emerald. She smiled. “Well, I enjoyed hanging out with your sister. She was very nice.” It was true. The girl named Emmy had been kind. She even let Twyla and Henri pet her while she was in wolf form. Not everyone would let random people pet them as if they were some sort of puppy companion.
Ruby mentioned running with her elder sister. Henri gave a huge grin. “I love to run. I was in track back home. I was quite the hurdle leaper. I’m not sure if I could keep going for 5 miles. It would probably take a lot of stamina and practice. I admire your sister for being able to run so much. It’s very impressive. Not many people enjoy running for so long.” The brunette smiled at Twyla when she talked about slowing down Emerald.
“Well, Twyla, I’m no good at balancing. I have to say, you’re pretty talented when it comes to gymnastics. I can’t do that stuff. Not being able to run is just one thing, you know?” Henrietta smiled at her best friend. She definitely admired her skills on the bars and what not. All of the 16 year-olds muscles lied in her long, gazelle-like legs.
It seemed as if all the girls were now enjoying the large couch’s comfy-ness. It got quiet as they all sat there a moment. Luckily, Twyla said something and Henri felt her eyes flutter open. She hadn’t even realized that she dozed for a second. The girl yawned and waited to hear how old the younger girl was.
Ruby sat up on the couch, trying to prevent herself from falling asleep. The last thing she wanted was to fall asleep, besides she was meet in new friends and she didn’t want to fall asleep in front of them while they were talking. When they both explained why they wouldn’t be able to run with her sister, Ruby nodded in recognition. A good deal of the time Ruby forgot that not everyone had the extraordinary endurance like her sister did. It was just something she was used to being around.
“Emmy just has a lot of endurance partially because she has been training for so long. She does it for fun mostly so don’t worry about it if you can’t keep up with her, I cant even keep up with her.” Ruby then paused for a moment before she burst into a fit of giggles, realizing how strange she must have sounded she managed to quell them for a moment to tell what was so funny. “I’m sorry, I just Imagined Emerald trying to do gymnastics. She would probably get so mad that she couldn’t bend a certain way on piece of equipment that she would rip probably break it somehow, then go off and beat up bad guys with a huge chunk of it while growling the entire time.” Now while Ruby did love her sister, she was allowed to poke fun at her whenever she wanted. Besides It was all in good fun and knowing her big sister she probably could have said an equally funny thing about Ruby in return. Emerald never really minded playful banter, it was fun for her and her younger sister to do it.
For a brief moment Ruby herself started falling asleep into the nice fluffy couch when she realized Twyla had asked her how old she was. It was in that moment Ruby realized how long she had been at the mansion and her eyes widened a little bit. She had almost been there for 3 whole years, well she was there for about 2 years but still she was almost Fifteen years old, one more year away from being sixteen and Emerald teaching her to drive. It was so crazy Ruby could hardly believe it.
“Im fourteen, Emerald’s seventeen and my oldest sister Sapphire is twenty three, but you guys probably wont meet Sapphire, she doesn’t come by that much cause her and Emmy fight a lot.” Ruby explained her ears drooping a little. “My big sisters don’t really know the meaning of the phrase. ‘forgive and forget’ ”
Ruby’s ears then perked up, a large grin on her face, refusing to stay sad for long. The fox girl was forever the optimist so she really did believe that her sisters would start to get along eventually. In her Vehement refusal of the sadness that threatened to creep over her, Ruby shifted into her fox form grabbed onto her tail and started rolling around with it, occasionally releasing it to chase. In other words, Ruby turned into adorable incarnate if she wasn’t that way already in her human form. She eventually went up to Miss Henri and Miss Twyla with adorable little puppy look on her face that clearly asked to be picked up and pet..

Twyla could watch Emerald and Henrietta run, but she'd never join them. Blech a million times. Running was a terrible, sadistic sport that Twyla Ashby would have no part of, thank you and good night. Kudos to Henrietta for being in track and more kudos to Emerald for running five miles a day. Negative kudos went to Twyla for her jogging and half runs. YUCK. "It's cool that you, Henri and your sister, Ruby can run. I'd never do it for fun." Images of herself running with a smile on her face almost made Twyla laugh out loud, she settled for a smirk-ish smile.
"I think Emmy would do just fine in something like vault--running's a big part of that." Images of herself flying over the vault flashed in the girl's mind. Vault was NOT her favorite event, not even close.
She was surprised when Ruby told her she was fourteen. Somehow the fox girl seemed a lot younger. She was intelligent, but she had a sweet innocence about her that made her seem a lot younger. "My older sisters fought a lot too when we all lived under one roof." Mostly it was Jeanie and Liza that fought, Miranda was always the calm 'cooler than thou' one. If she had been unlucky Twyla got in the middle of those arguments and was either by divine providence or her brother Nate saved from any vengeful, sisterly wrath.
Oh my gosh she's adorable! When Ruby turned into her fox for Twyla smiled and watched her play on the floor. After a few moments she stopped and sat in front of Henri and the blond expectantly. Just like she had when Emerald was in her wolf form, Twyla acted on instinct and picked the girl up to pet her. It felt kind of strange, like petting a dog that reminded her of a cat. Blushing after she realized what she was doing, she removed the fox from her lap and placed her where she had been sitting as a human on the couch. "Sorry..." She mumbled, embarrassed.
Henrietta listened to the girl talk about her age. She had said she was fourteen. The brunette tilted her head slightly. Really? She’s that old? The girl was surprised by her age. She seemed so adorable in a little kid way. Her intelligence seemed quite high though. She even talked about building a robot. Henri wasn’t sure, but she figured that took a lot of skill and smarts to build robots. She knew that she probably wouldn’t be able to build anything technical and complex inher life. She was pretty smart, but she wasn’t made to be a genius, just run decently fast around a track. She had been graced with gazelle legs.
The girls both talked about sisters. Henri frowned slightly to herself. There wasn't much she could add to this conversation. The girl had no idea what it was like to have a sibling. She knew what the general idea was, but still, she had no personal experiences to share. There was nothing comforting to say to the small girl. She didn't know if the two girls would reconcile or not. Henrietta guessed it would depend on the reason they stopped talking or whatever. There was a decently big gap between all their ages. Maybe that had something to do with it.
All of a sudden, little Ruby was in a fox form. She ran around playing and being absolutely cute. Henrietta smiled and watched her. Twyla picked her up when she made it seem like that’s what she was wanting. Reaching over, she pet the little fox. She smiled happily to herself as she stroked the girl's soft coat. The blonde set her back down on the couch next to her. It probably was kind of awkward to hold a fox you knew was actually your friend's sister. Henri tried not to dwell on it since the other girl obviously wanted that to happen.
"So, Ruby. Is it really cool being able to shift into a fox? I would love to have four legs sometimes. I bet that makes you pretty fast, huh?" Henrietta smiled at Ruby. Turning to Twyla, she grinned. "Isn't she so cute? I think that would be an awesome power."
After being set down Ruby took a moment to regain her focus, she tended to get distracted easier in fox form than in her human form. Perhaps it was the almost puppy like state of mind she entered in or maybe the little genius was just easily distracted, ether way she was a pretty curious little fox. Much like her sister Ruby didn’t mind to be pet, she also didn’t mind being picked up and carried places as long as it wasn’t by her tail. Speaking of tail, Ruby glanced back at her previous ‘foe’ just before she cleaned it a little, trying to make it look more presentable. She always liked her tail in pristine condition even if the rest of her wasn’t. “Don’t worry Miss Twyla, I'm used to it, as long as you don’t ever squeeze my face and do stupid baby noises I wont mind. Besides, When people pick me up I can see from a really high up, so its kind of fun for me!” Ruby’s very distinctive voice came out of the foxes mouth perfectly, and unlike her older sister she still sounded like her normal voice if not a little bit more high pitched. She then thought about Henrietta’s question for a moment, big fox ears occasionally twitching as she thought. “Well I am the fastest out of the Lupins its lots of fun to shift and be a fox, but its sort of scary sometimes because down here more things can hurt you, which is why its good to know how to run really fast on four legs” Ruby explained, grinning a little.

Twyla smiled again when the fox girl that was a fox spoke and assured her that it was no big deal that she'd picked her up. It seemed like every time Twyla met one of the Lupin sisters in their animal form she felt the need to pet. It was an urge or an instinct that she'd have to work on controlling--even if they were okay with it it was still rude to randomly lift someone off the ground or pet their head.
When Henri mentioned that she thought it would be a cool power Twyla instantly got the image of her brother and her father going out hunting. What if she had turned into some kind of animal? They could have killed her if they caught her. Nope, no way did Twyla Ashby want to turn into a furry animal that could be shot at, trapped, or turned into roadkill in a single moment. Yes, Ruby was adorable and yes, Emerald was b.a. in her wolf form but that didn't change the fact that if her family had found out about her mutation like that then Twyla probably wouldn't be in New York City, she'd be dead. "Yeah, she's really cute..." Her tone was distracted as she finally replied.
"I wish I was fast..." Twyla mumbled in her sleepy tone. Suddenly sitting up she reached for the remote on the coffee table. If she was watching the news she wouldn't have to feel guilty about not going to the Y quite as earl as she and Henrietta had planned. When she clicked on the TV images of a burning wreck and the words: Anti Mutant Riot in Florida flashing across the bottom. "Never mind.' The girl muttered, angrily turning the television back off.
Twyla took a while to respond, so Henri just dropped it. She wasn't sure what she was thinking about, but it seemed to make her a little distant. The little foxgirl was cleaning her tail in a very adorable fashion. It was like watching a puppy. Well, except for the fact that this one talked and sounded like Emerald's youngest sibling. That threw her off a little bit and made her feel a bit like a creeper.
Henrietta watched as the girl flipped on the TV. Anti Mutant Riots... Anger started to bubble up and she felt like she was going to be sick. Actually, she wasn't sure if it was nausea or just plain disgust. The feeling went down after the blonde had turned the screen back off again. She could still feel it though, in the pit of her stomach. It made her feel gross. The brunette wasn't completely sure what emotion it was supposed to be, but it wasn't a pleasant one, whatever it was.
Trying to think about something else, the girl shook her head slightly as if trying to clear it. Chill out. Deep breaths and all that... She decided not to even bring it up again. It just didn't seem like a good plan for any of their sakes, especially her's. Swallowing, the girl leaned her head back. "So, Ruby, do you do a lot of science experiments or anything? It seems like you're pretty into the subject." The brunette couldn't say she was a big science enthusiast, but it wasn't as bad as math.
