The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Early Morning Routines and Greetings (Twyla/Henri)
The tiny fox giggled when she was called cute; Her keen hearing picked it up immediately. Being called cute was something Ruby was used to. Someone had even said she was so cute she could enslave the entire world with just a small grin and a giggle. Now, Ruby didn't know about that, but what she did know was that she enjoyed the compliment, and gave a small bark in response." "Then, Twyla turned on the television and the small foxling saw anti-mutant riots flash up on the screen. Ruby couldn't help but cringe at the thought of more anti-mutant crime. As long as it didn't result in another Registration Act, Ruby was fine. She shuddered at the thought of being in the camps again. Ruby shifted back into her human form, rubbing her head as she felt a small worry headache coming on.
“As long as those anti-mutant riots don't lead to another Mutant Registration Act, we have nothing to worry about," Ruby stated, a very serious tone creeping into her voice. Typically, Ruby's voice didn't normally sound this serious, but when it came to the camps and mutant registration acts, the little fox girl was about as serious as the next person
Luckily, the subject was changed by Henrietta, who had a nice habit of doing so. Ruby's green eyes immediately brightened up, and she was happy again. Being sad and serious wasn't a typical trait for Ruby, so it was easy for her to quickly transition back to her normal, happy self. That adorable, childlike joy appeared on her face as she began to speak about science. "Well, I really enjoy robotics, though physics is fun, too. I don't like genetics too much, though, because I don't really like it when people try to mess with the natural nature of things. Chemistry is okay, but I really prefer physics over chemistry. I make lots of robots and I do certain experiments... though if I need a test subject, I usually test it on Emerald." There was a pause and Ruby grinned mischeviously. "Sometimes I play jokes on her just for fun, though like making her freak out because she thinks she mixed the baking soda and vinegar wrong."

The images on the screen had woken the girl up quickly. She sat up straighter on the couch cushion, as if on edge. Well, she was on edge. The girl had the sudden urge to do something, to make something happen--to scream at the top of her lungs until people stopped being so judgmental. She couldn't really do any of these things, at least not in good form or with good conscious but Twyla could make herself better, change herself into something better, make sure she wasn't a judgmental person. Twyla Ashby wanted to run straight to the Y and get going but that would have been rude, instead she remained perched delicately on the edge of her seat.
"They won't." Twyla told toe fox girl matter-of-factly. "People have learned...I hope." Or not, that was an option too. Twyla herself hadn't actually experienced the Registration Act--only seen images of it on the news but she knew how terrible it was and had heard the stories of the camps. Sometimes she wondered if that's where Mark ended up...
The subject rapidly shifted onto little Ruby's interests and Twyla was silently relieved. It seemed like Emerald's little sister had memories attached to the previous topic and she wanted the younger girl to stay out of them. Ruby was easily diverted apparentlybecause her tone became brighter and she began to list off some of the things that she was into. Twyla couldn't help but chuckle when the younger girl admitted to the mischief with her older sister. It was a good image.
"It sounds like you're into math based science, Ruby." She made a face. "Math's not my strong point--I like biology actually, how things life can be fascinating." Hence Twyla taking an advanced biology class and an 'easy' math class her first semester back in school at the Mansion.
Henri tried to focus on what the younger girl was telling her. She seemed to enjoy physics. At least that was what the brunette got out of all of it. Part of her brain was still buzzing with the thoughts of mutant rights. I want to help stop this someday. I don’t want everyone to have to see this stuff on television. I don’t want other kids to sit and wonder what’s wrong with them, like I did at first. That’s just not fair. She looked at the other two girls. The girl wondered if they had felt like that when they learned what they were.
It was nice to know that her subject change worked effectively. Henri grinned to herself slightly. They were now talking about school-type of things. She was glad to see that both girls really wanted to use the subject change. She knew that she had. Discussing something saddening wasn't really in her agenda. I might at well use this chance to share too.
Twyla said she liked biology. Henrietta smiled and kept her head lying on the couch. She sighed and closed her eyes. “I like lots of subjects. I’m a pretty big fan of English classes and Anatomy and Physiology. It’s an interesting subject.” The girl stopped and turned her head to the right. “Oh, I enjoyed learning about cultures.” Henri laughed. “I kind of went off about subjects in general. It started with math and sciences, but oh well.”
Henrietta opened her eyes and smiled at the other two girls. She remembered that her and Twyla were supposed to go to the YMCA, but didn’t just want to leave adorable little Ruby sitting there all alone. The brunette glanced at her friend to judge what she was thinking. She was hoping they’d make eye contact so she could tell easier. Come on, Twyla. Look at me here. I’m wondering what you think we should do.
Ruby listened tot he girls talk about their different subjects, smiling contently to herself. The young fox girl was glad that she wasn't alone at the moment, she did have to admit she sometimes got lonely not talking to people. Ruby laid her head back against the cushy pillows of the couch, relaxing considerably as she did so. Even though she looked wide awake, Ruby was a little bit tired from waking up so early. That and she didnt get as much sleep as she usually did because she stayed up late watching the Discovery Channel.
“Well, Science and Math are my fortes, but thats a sort of like Father like Daughter thing.” Ruby grinned widely, tail wagging a little. It was clear to see the admiration and love the young teen had for her father just by how excited she was getting..“He's the one that got me interested in machines and stuff in the first place.”
The girn on Ruby's face grew and grew at the thought of her father building machines with her. Building things with her father was one of the best thing about going to visit home was that she got to bond with her Daddy, who was her best friend. Ruby started to think more and more about school, as well as about her family, this was when a small electric spark, similar to that if you plug a plug in its socket, left her pinky finger which was resting on the arm rest of the couch. Not noticing it, Ruby smiled a little softer this time.
“Those are really cool subjects you guys are into, I think Emerald likes some of those too if I remember right. Though, she hates science and math. But what she does love besides working out and beating evil people up...” Rubys voice got a little softer as if she was telling a huge secret. “Is Music.”
Ruby had a triumphant girn upon her small features as she stated one of her big sisters secrets aloud, but she really wanted her big sister to get back to doing what she loved. Emerald was working herself to death and Ruby used to love it when she heard her big sister playing piano in the middle of the night when everyone was asleeep.
“Emmy really likes Music, Its one of the only things she would probably go to class for if she had the chance. Though, she hardly plays the piano anymore and its been so long since I have seen her dance or compose anything.” Rubys ears drooped a little bit. “Her stupid, evil, mean jerk of an Ex Boyfriend probably didn't help her creative slump either. But....Miss Twyla, Miss Henri your'e Emmys friends right? Could you get her to stop working so hard and to play music again?” Ruby looked at the two girls with pleading eyes, not to pleading but they were so shiny with hope that it would be very hard to say no.

Twyla smiled when Ruby explained that her love for math and sciences came from her father. It was apparent that the girl admired her father.Did she just spark? The older girl wasn't sure of what she'd just seen. The 'father like daughter' thing Twyla could relate to--everyone always said that she and her father were more alike than they knew. It had nothing to do with school or learning though, she just dealt with her problems in similar ways.
Henri seemed like she liked school in general. This was also something Twyla could relate to--she loved learning although not only in a school setting. Reading was her gateway to random facts and things she'd never learn in a lesson plan and she'd gotten in trouble more than once for reading in class. This didn't happen so much lately due to the fact that the blond was trying her best to get caught up with her studies so she could graduate a year later than her class and start college in a few years.
The topic turned to Ruby's older sister and Twyla smiled--of course Emerald would like something universal like music. Twyla's smile turned into a wince when an Ex was brought up. Now, she'd never had an Ex but they never sounded like much fun. A small smile returned when the younger girl asked them to help her sister get her interest in music back. In truth, she wasn't really sure how to respond or how she could help the wolf girl but Twyla found herself saying anyway: "Um, yeah. Ruby, of course we'll try." As soon as I figure out how I'll get back to you.
And then her eyes caught Henri's blue ones. It seemed like she was ready to boogie--like Twyla herself had been only a few moments before. "Speaking of working hard..." She changed quickly. "Henri and I were actually going to work out today, at the YMCA--we're trying to get back into shape. So..." This is really awkward... The girl trailed off and hoped that her friend was as good as picking up sentences as she was at changing topics.
Little Ruby spoke about her father. Henrietta smiled a little. The brunette had never met her dad and her mother did not want to speak of him. She would get really mad and upset when Henri tried. It wasn't that her mother was a bad person, it was just hard for her to talk about. The 16 year-old held onto the thought of someday learning about him. She was sure she would at some point. Besides, if her mother didn't tell her, she'd find out using a different way. This was one of those things a person really needs closure for. Well, at least Henrietta Braun needed some closure. That was a loose end she wanted to tie up at some point in the future.
Emerald was now brought up. The younger girl talked about how she was really into music. Henri smiled at that thought. I could see how she'd like that. The fox girl was asking for the two teenagers' help. Twyla said 'of course' and the brunette opened her mouth, but shut it again. Instead, she just nodded a 'yes' to coincide with the previous answer.. "We can see what we can do, I guess. We both dance. Maybe she could dance with us sometime or something." She glanced at Twyla and gave a small shrug, hoping that that was a good answer.
The blonde made eye contact with Henrietta and mentioned the YMCA. "Oh, yeahhh. We've been feeling lazy and are trying to keep fit and all that." The girl glanced at the clock and then at the small girl. Henri sighed and stood up. "Ohhh, I'm getting old. Standing is ever getting difficult." She winked and smiled jokingly at Ruby. "Well, we should probably be off pretty quick here. I'm really sorry, Ruby. Maybe we can all hang out again sometime?" It sounded more like a question than a statement. She was afraid the girl would be upset or something of the like. "Your sister could come too or something. It could be a lot of fun. I just don't want to wait too long because it's a morning routine." Henrietta looked at Twyla. "So, you want to head out then?"
Ruby’s face broke into a large happy grin when both girls said that they would help. Her childlike glee was easy to see on her face. She was so happy that Emmy had friends that were willing to help her like this. That meant that her sister wasn’t the “big bad wolf” she thought she was. Ruby knew that her elder sibling could make friends she just had to make the right ones, and it seemed to Ruby that she had made perfect friends.
The fox girl then noticed them being sort of tense about having to go and work out at the YMCA and she couldn’t help but start to giggle. She figured they must have been worried about leaving her all alone, but lucky for them she had other things to do today, that and the fact she was not going to keep them from doing what they wanted.
“Dont worry about it! I have lots of things to do today on my new painting robot and the earlier I get started the earlier I will be able to get done!” Ruby told them both, confidence emitting from her voice. She was quite the determined young fox girl and much like the other two Lupin sisters she wouldn’t stop until her task was complete. Before the little fox girl bolted off she made a point to hug both Twyla and Henri, whether the girls were ready for it or not. “Thank you both so much, I’m glad my big sister found some nice friends like you two and it was nice meeting you!” With that the little fox girl eagerly bounded off to her little workshop in the garage, off to go work on her painting robot.

Twyla nodded at Henri. They were running late and the earlier they got to the Y the more time they could devote to running or (cue an internal shudder from Twyla) to practice hurdles. She was getting better at them but still...who decided it was a good idea to put a bunch of metal benches around a track and then to order people to jump over them instead of running around them?
It seemed that the fox girl also had things she needed as much time as possible for. This made the blond feel better about meeting her and then having to leave her. "Painting robot...?" She mumbled quietly, not aware she'd said anything out loud. Before she could make sense of everything there was a pressure around her middle and she was hugged by the girl who thanked her, told her how glad she was that Twyla and Henri had met her sister Emerald, and then said how nice it was to meet them. Twyla barely managed to pat the girl once on the back before she was on to hugging the brunette around the middle. "Nice to meet you too, Ruby."
Twyla blinked twice after the fox girl left the room. It had been an interesting little meeting, and the half dazed look on her face said as much. "Well...We should probably head out, huh?" Twyla stood up and stretched her arms behind her. She was a bit more awake than she'd been and it showed in her movements. "Interesting stuff..." The girl trailed off as she swished her hips to get the kinks from sitting out. "Shall we?" She walked towards the door and then stopped and waited for her friend to follow.
One minute the fox girl was hugging Twyla, the next Henrietta. She had started talking about how nice they were and she was glad they were friends with her sister. The brunette smiled and gave the girl a squeeze back. "It was very nice to meet you. I hope you have fun doing whatever you need to do." Henri was relieved that Ruby wouldn't be lonely or bored. She would've felt bad if that had happened, especially since she seemed so innocent and young.
Actually, it seemed the young girl was in a bigger hurry than them. All of a sudden, she had left the room. She looked to Twyla and grinned. "She's so cute." It was the only thing that entered her mind. Seeing the girl made Henri wish that she had a little sibling or a sibling at all, really. It was a little late in her mother's life for having more children and she didn't even date once in a while. No, brothers and sisters were not something she would have. Luckily, Twyla was like a sister, or at least what she imagined a sister was like.
The blonde was now up and heading towards the door. "Shall we?" She asked. Henritetta smiled. "Yeah, let's go feel amazingly fit!" The girl laughed and jogged to catch up with her friend at the door. "To the Y!" Opening the front door, she took a step out.
