The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Well, don't get too sleepy now. I don't wanna have to carry you the rest of the way home." "Too bad, sounds like it would be the best plan I've heard all night." Jewel chuckled at him. The idea of a bed really seemed more and more inviting. She could imagine how exhausted they both would be once the excitement wears off. "We need to get across the border. Obviously. But I don't see anyone around so I think we might as well make a run for the border." "Sure" Jewel nodded; it didn't sound very inviting, just sprinting across the open area like that, but he was right, that was probably more reasnoable than wasting more time wandering around and running into patrols. The light was almost gone, and it was getting very late; they had a good chance of making it without trouble. Lily adjusted her jacket and pulled the hair back from her face. She looked up at Streak; his face was barely visible in the shadows, but she could sense him just fine. "Race you there?"

(OOC: I thought this thread was at night)
"Too bad, sounds like it would be the best plan I've heard all night." Race you there?"
Streak chuckled. "Well maybe if you're good I'll carry you into the hotel." he said to her. He wasn't completely joking. For the most part he was serious. Streak was didn't really care if she took him seriously or not because it would still be some good incentive for her to go speed this process up. "You're on." Streak said with a smile on his face.
No matter where they crossed the chances of them coming across a place where there wasn't a huge open field between them and the border was going to be slim to none. No matter what they tried they would have to run through a few patches of open fields. "On three. One... Two... Three!" Streak said. He was going to give her a head start. Why? Not because she was a girl. Not because she was his team mate. But mainly because she was now his girlfriend and judging from past knowledge it was usually a good thing to let them win. Besides if anything came up in front of her he could always speed up and protect her.
"Well maybe if you're good I'll carry you into the hotel." "I'm always good." Lily stated with a smirk as she got ready to run. At the count of three she ran, trying to get across the open field as fast as possible. She could tell Streak was giving her a head start, there was no way she could be faster tham him. By the time she got to the wire fence in the middle of the field the silver on her arm ha already formed a blade; with Streak's silver it didn't take long to cut through the fence. Once she managed to sneak through to the other side she started to run again, and stopped only when she reached the trees and was hidden from sight from the watchtower. She stood in the shadows, catching her breath, waiting for Streak to arrive. "Sooo, the worst is over." she panted with a grin "Let's go home..."

"Sure you are." Streak said to Lily. When they both started to run it was obvious that he was letting her win. He saw nothing wrong with that. Jewel got through the fence quickly and was on her way to forest just about the time he got through the fence. Streak got through the border just as easily as she did.
Sooo, the worst is over." "Let's go home..."
"Right. Let's go back to the hotel." Streak said to her. The long trip back passed by uneventfully. Once they were back at the hotel Shawn said, "We're here. Time to get some rest." The silver eyed mutant led the way into the hotel. Once inside he took Jewel's hand and led her to the elevator. "Well that was fun." Since they were back Streak was starting to feel tired. The only thing he really hoped for was that he'd be able to get to his room before he fell asleep. Although the elevator was a pretty tempting place to sleep
Lily did her best not to fall asleep in the car on thir way back, even though her eyes kept closing every now and then. Once they were back in the hotel, she felt herself grow more tired with every step. "We're here. Time to get some rest... Well that was fun." Jewel leaned back against the wall of the elevator. "We did it. We actually did it." she grinned, finally relaxing after the night adventure. She looked at Streak who was already half asleep. She slapped him on the shoulder. "Hey. Shawn. Don't you fall asleep here, I'm not carrying you." She stood on her tiptoes, kissing him on the cheek. "Well done, team leader. A few more nights like this, and our mission's officially a success." And there was nothing more to add to that. Except for long hours of sleep.

As Streak's eyes started to close in the elevator, Lily slapped his shoulder to keep him awake. "Ok, fine. I won't make you carry me." Streak said yawning. It had been a long night and they were going to be repeating it for the next few nights. it was not something he was looking forward to. Probably because it messed up with any sleeping pattern that he might have had when he got to Romania.
Shawn leaned down a bit to accept the kiss that Lily gave him. "Right." Streak said as he still struggled to stay awake. The young man then kissed her cheek in return. Since he was so tire there was no telling what he was liable to say. "If I get that for one successful trip I can't wait to see what I get when we finish this thing." Streak said smiling at her with half closed eyes. Just then the elevator doors opened to their floor. He waited for her to exit before he did because it was taking more and more self control to not fall asleep where he was standing.
