The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael blinked up at Axel a moment, then took his hand. "Evening... sorry, didn't catch your name earlier, though apparently you heard mine." He replied then glanced over at Tricity, and back to Axel.
*walks over to Tricity to get her attention* "Er, Tricity? I believe u asked me if my mutation was dangerous to other people?" "Its not generally hostile, its capable but not hostile. I do however, have a extremely ruthless temper but that shouldn't be a problem as I am very hard to provoke that far" *smiles confidently*
"I believe she has drifted off... or atleast lost herself in thought Sir." Raphael said to Alex. "Though your ability sounds about as dangerous as mine... and she seemed more perplexed and curious about the most harmful of my abilities than worried about it being dangerous.... of course, this is assuming you keep your temper under control, sir, though its not my place to say. Just my opinion."
*takes on a new speaking style for no apparent reason - just for awhile* "Indeed, you ARE free to your own opinion, Raphael. Oh and, you need not call me Sir, I have earned no such title. Just call me Axel."
Raphael quirked an eyebrow at the sudden change in vocal tone in Axel. "Nice to meet you Axel," He said, rising from his impromptu seat, his duffel bag. He then hefted said bag up onto his shoulder. "Thinking it is time for me to fill out these papers and figure my way into an empty room."
"I'm certain that if you speak with her later she will gladly give you a set... as for me, I'm going to go explore this place. Alot to see here. Take care and nice meeting you Axel." Raphael said as he stuffed the papers back into his duffel bag, and turned away and went off down a hallway, insearch of a staircase to the second floor so he could find an empty domitory room.
"oh ok. Well, I'll just wait around here until she gives me mine. See you round Raphael. I hope we enjoy it here." *waves to Raphael as Raphael goes off to find a room etc*
*is waiting for the residential papers from tricity, and to finish discussing whether or not Axel's powers are dangerous*
(its a bummer that I'm caught in the queue of newbies, and its a bummer that you are so busy. Could you message me when you've caught up and replied please?)
*Tricity came back down the hall and handed Axel his resident papers.* "When you're finished with them, slide them under my bedroom door so I can take a look at them. In the meantime, you can find any room you'd like. Luckily us older folks can have their own room. The hallway at the top of the stairs splits into three ways. Most of the adults stay in the same wing which is also the wing the infirmary is on; straight ahead at the top. The other two hallways split, leading to the girls' side and boys' side. So have fun room hunting."
