Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

A lost Jewel: Jewel arrives at the Mansion and is greeted by Shin and Thor.

Meetings at breakfast: Jewel's first morning in the Mansion, and a conversation with Silver Streak.

Kasumi's birthday: Jewel accompanies Silver Streak to Kasumi's birthday party where she meets a lot of new people.

So many shinies: Jewel and Morphia get into a fight with Aura and Meld in a jewelry shop in New York City.

After the fight: Jewel takes the injured Morphia back to the Mansion; in the Infirmary they meet Fade and Shana.

How can people live here?: Morphia's first morning in the Mansion; Shana, Jewel and Audrey have breakfast together.

Time to talk: The morning after the fight in the jewelry shop, Jewel talks to Silver Streak about fighting, mutants and self defense.

Finding some dirt: Jewel's first Danger Room session with Sam.

Visiting an old friend: Jewel's childhood friend Juka shows up at the Mansion.

In search of Furred Friends: Juka visits Jewel in her room and talks her into a trip to New York City, where they run into Aura by accident. Weirdness ensues.

A pretty girl in a bad bad place: Freaky Friday thread. Jewel's body gets switched with Zephyr's. Not to mention that Slate shows up to drag her off on a mission...

What could go wrong?: Streak takes Lily out for a night in New York City. Cool guy, pretty girl, badass car, mutants - what could go wrong?...

Shadowy Figures: Jewel's first tryout session to become and X-men trainee. Gets teamed up with Kaz and Circe under the supervision of Luke, who gives the three of them a very interesting (not to mention obscure) task...

You really gotta want it: Lily finds a new student-to-be in one of the Mansion death traps. At night. And invites him in. Saphirus' arrival.

My sister is an only child: Lily finally gets a roommate. Callie's arrival.

Mansion's new Angel: Lily meets a gryphon. Enough said.

Mission! Wedding: Lily appears at Ghost and Sebastian's wedding at the Mansion. Mingling ensues.

Party of 5...: Jewel's first mission an an X-men trainee. Romania plot. Streak, Fade, Shin, Kasumi, Jewel.

A night to remember: A weird girls' night out in the middle of the Romania nightmare. Circe and Jewel.
