The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I'm not done yet, Simba"
Predator whirled around, to see the water/ice mutant once again reformed, and then his form began to waver and shift. After a few seconds, Predator began to recognize what was happening to the man, and groaned a bit on the inside. The man was copying Predator's power, that must be his mutation. Soon enough a watery version of Predator stood before him. Predator could only laugh a little, and it came out in that choking-sounded way that dogs have. This man might have gained Predator's power, but he didn't have the years of experience, not only in weilding Predator's natural weapons, but in general combat. As far as Predator was concerned, all this new development did was make the fight a little more fun.
When he saw the other man's watery muscles bunch, Predator sprang as well, meeting the attack with his own feirce charge. However, Predator didn't jump, he charged, and when he met the man he was able to push off the ground right in front of him and deliver a strike with more momentum than what the man had from leaping the distance between them. Predator was hoping the viscous uppercut would tear through the watery form enough that it would take a few seconds for him to reform, during which Predator could lope over and take a hostage of some sort, probably one of the SWAT officers. Then Predator could force the man to yeild, and if the man kept attacking, then Predator could throw the hostage at him.
"If you think such weak words will detur me spiderman, your more foolish then you look, But If it's any consolation, i only struck her down becuse she raised a weapon to me, much as you are now. Orders come before all else, even friendship or love. I will fight untill my opponents flee or lie dead, the option is yours" she said, sounding casual, a smile still across her face.Aura laughed as she saw the fur on the demon chnage to somthing a kin to an animal she saw once but whose name she had forgotten. "it's even prettier then i thought" she said as she rushed at Dominic only a few steps behind the demon.
Aura's drill spun hard and she smiled, he might have other powers to of whatever this spider he mentioned was. Their were to many spiders and Aura tended to kill them out of boardum. Aura knew not of Dominics enhanced strength but his choice to take the the puppy head on, likely meant he could do more then jump. Aura chose her drill for this reason, as she approached she struk at the side of the spidermans arm, chooseing the side becuse she knew it would be harder to defend against.
Aura briefly wonderd if the order was winning, their were still fights rageing across the area, most of the people involved she knew nothing of. Still as the battile raged on, the enjurys piled up, all in all things were comforting, even with such an ugly person before her. At least he had already proven to be more of a challinge then Kasumi had, their was enjoyment in that. Jaxon was nearby and Aura was happy for her help, she trusted her though she could not rely on her fighting like she could meld, she was glad to see when it counted she could trust Jaxxon to lend her aide.
The battle raged on. Cailyn awaited her moments to influence her way into what this was all about. She had no real purpose but to influence in this entire fight. It was about nothing and it would end in nothing. However she was spotted during the battle. She was spotted by somebody from the mansion. She knew who she was from a face in the crowd, but never knew her name. Or atleast she never introduced herself to cailyn.
The woman approuched her very fast until she was close enough. Her hands twitched and her head started to go spastic. Shifted from left to right in a fast pace. She then grabbed the womans head with both of hands on the side. She held her in eye contact as her she was looking straight into her eyes. Memories, names and objectives where running through her head now coming straight from the woman who was named Circe.
The entire reason of this fight was to stop a virus. Technicly humanity itself acted like a virus itself. Going around the world destroying it. The objective ment nothing to Cailyn. It was foolish and inefficient. However this was the perfect chance to influence the woman she was holding at a level that she never used when she was herself. What a grand price was she holding right here. Every secret the woman held was now her own and every relationship she had was now open to her. Irony's judgement kicked in.
She planted all of it in her head. Every whisper she head was flowing into the womans mind, atleast that was what she was attempting to do. See the effect. Knowing what she knew, Circe's powers could cause allot of chaos. All the whispers where telling her to use her powers for chaotic ends, all in a different way. Some screaming some telling, some whispering. The voices she once had where now willingly helping her out for the fun of experimentation. How would the woman react to this was the question at hand.
(OOC: hope it's ok circe, if not just tell me and i'll change it a bitty )
As far as Alexandra was concerned, usually people in the mansion were pretty peaceful. You know, the usual peace, love, blah, blah. Perhaps, that was her mistake, to think that everybody she had seen around the mansion had the same ideals. Cailyn's medical file had run trough her head while she was approaching the young woman. Besides the actual medical facts, in there said she was able to levitate. She had made the wrong assumptions that she was was able just to levitate.
Her senses kicked in, just as she approached the woman, close enough to be within arm's reach. She tried to make a step back, as soon as she had seen Cailyn's hands twitching, her head moving from side to side. But she was just a second too late.Cailyn's hands had already grabbed both sides of her head, and held them there. Her first instinct was to push herself away but found her body unable to do it.
Her brain felt like it was being sucked out from her head, directly into this woman's hands. Blue eyes widened, watching unfocused the blond girl. That is, until whispers started to pour inside her mind. Whispers were followed by loud screams. Her blue eyes started to shift from left to right, trying to proof to herself that it wasn't everything just in her mind. To proof herself that someone was screaming then whispering to her to cause chaos. That the final mean of her existence was to make as much destruction as possible.
But... the only one beside her was Cailyn, and she wasn't screaming, she wasn't whispering, her lips were sealed shut.
Yes, destruction, chaos, death. That is our purpose.
Her own demon agreed to this indications. And her mind ceased to resist. The corner of Alexandra's mouth rose as she pushed the hands on her head away. Eyes started to shine in a brightly blue color as her body turned away from Cailyn. Her hand extended, as her eyes watched with satisfaction all those manipulable materials around herself. But she had chosen metal. With a slight wave, the maximum quantity of metal she could manipulate made it's way toward Circe, some going behind her, ready to act as a shield and protect her. The rest floated calmly in front of her.
Five smaller blobs detached from bigger one and in less than a second were shaped as a shorter version of a lance. Keeping their molecular bounds as strong as possible, she ordered the metal molecules to move at the highest speed possible toward the spot where the other mutants were fighting. As soon as her lances were close enough, she ceased her hold on them, as even without her manipulation affecting the matter, they were still speeding toward the unsuspecting mutants. Her mind focused on the bigger blob again, ready to launch a second attack.

A grin appeared on Bacchus’s face as the bone connected with the shield it however didn’t get the results he wanted however, but not everyone dropped dead when he wanted them to anyways so Bacchus waited till the man was in squashing distance. “Funny how you all look so forward to be come nothing but gum under my shoe!” Bacchus said as he lifted his foot getting ready to squish the small little ant that was now scurrying into stepping distance. Two shots from a gun rung out as Bacchus felt two hot bits of metal squish on his skin by his kneecaps they didn’t to much but he felt the heat and that was enough to turn his head towards the location the shots were fired before he looked back down to the pest now charging him.
A sudden feeling of helplessness came over Bacchus as his body too much of his dismay started to shrink even with his mind focusing on himself being bigger and bigger all he could do was shrink. His heart rate started to quicken as the butterflies in his stomach started to become intoxicated. He remembered this feeling before, his inability to use his powers, his inability to hold all the liquor he consumed in the past hour, this happened at the hole in the wall bar with Sara the werecat and Jenny and her bloke. There was no way in hell she would be with a cop though, she helped him fool the cops and rob the bank with him. She was out for her self so why would she be with a cop?
As his body shrank Bacchus was hit with the taser in the chest and his body twitched on the ground in pain. As the taking continued however a chuckle could be heard from the gasps of pain, he didn’t know why he was laughing when it hurt so bad but he found it funny as hell, he killed so many cops and fancied himself as unhurt able but here a cop was tazing him, it was a bit ironic in his mind. Which is why he couldn’t stop laughing. “Bit Ironic, isn’t it?” Bacchus said through clenched teeth as he looked at the masked officer, “this isn’t the first time we met is it?” he continued to twitch on the ground in hopes that the officer would be stupid enough to turn off his stun gun.
King Pharmaceuticals, the building itself, groaned a low and somber sound. There was no movement to the building, nothing oblique anyway, but the keening continued. Like a series of photos run together at high speeds, the middle of the building buckled. Looking directly at the structure it was hard to say that anything was happening, but glance away for a moment and when viewed with fresh eyes there was always some new injury. A broken window, a buckled beam, twisted metal. There was something happening up there... something with a lot of force behind it.
((OOC: just updating the outside of the brawl on what has started to happen on the inside. ))

(OOC: Here is the summary Sam fell out of a high story window as his body produced a chilling mist on the way down to the pavement. Moments before impacting with the ground he covered himself in a dense ice ball that created a small impact into the pavement, the air around the ice ball is freezing cold and the icy mist that he was producing moments before the fall just started up again. (OOC: In brief summary Meld began staggering away from the core of the fighting and cutting herself with her claws. She melded with a street sign and cut her waist to shreds then melded with a bobcat construction vehicle. For complete details see: Man and Machine
"Haven't you heard? They're starting to make gum that's resistant to shoes." Jacen replied coldly as he sent yet another shock of electricity through the wires and probes that had buries themselves in Baachus. The shots were distracting and Jacen caught himself glancing around, trying to find exactly where they had come from.
Looking back over at the former giant, his eyes were cold as he looked at the now prone body. "First time? No. Last time? I sure hope so." Jacen had to admit to himself that he'd been out for revenge from the very beginning but now things had become far more important than his own vengeance. The giant has proved himself to be a cold blooded killer. There would be no rushing those security guards to the hospital in order to make sure that they survived. What he had done could not be reversed and there would be no stepping back.
"Are you ready to go quietly or do I need to shock you into unconsciousness?" Jacen asked emotionlessly as he released and then pulled the trigger again. Off the top of his head he wasn't sure exactly how long the battery on one of these tasers would last but he'd be glad to find out if the giant didn't decide to be a good boy. "You'll get your day in court. Then you can complain about how you were mistreated as a child, and only got to eat mac & cheese instead of steak."

Laughing slightly as the Officer spoke about it being the last time their paths would ever cross but with the way things were now, he was sure they would meet again unless one of them died, Bacchus didn’t plan on stopping any of the law breaking anytime soon unless his situation back home changed drastically, that or the officer had to stop being what he was. That was the only way he could picture t being the last time they would meet. Teeth chattering violently as he held his tongue to the roof of his mouth so it wouldn’t get bitten Bacchus whished he could capture the officers sent like he could do with the others around him. Bacchus also wanted to see his face that way even if Bacchus ended up in the slammer he would have something to look forward to when he got out some one to toy with the way the officer was toying with him right now.
All the officer was doing was getting in his way from doing what he needed to do, all of his kind all the police did was bar his path so he couldn’t do what he pleased all he wanted to do was get money and send it back home so his family could remain safe till he could see him again. That was all he wanted and this officer was becoming more and more of a burden with each second he held his finger on the trigger that provided the voltage to cause his body to tense so much. That and the fact that Bacchus’s mutation was inaccessible while the officer was near him.
"Are you ready to go quietly or do I need to shock you into unconsciousness?"
Bacchus laughed as he let go of the trigger for a second, the second was all he needed to force his body to react even with the taser embedded in his flesh for the time being he tried to look through the helmet in hops he could catch glimpse of the man that was preventing his body from reacting the way he wanted it to react. As soon as his head lifted slightly he felt the electricity surge though his body once again, and once again his body tensed up and shook violently.
"You'll get your day in court. Then you can complain about how you were mistreated as a child, and only got to eat mac & cheese instead of steak."
Again fighting through the pain and reacting to it the only way he knew how Bacchus let out a small laugh and said, “Hell…No…. I…. always….heh…had…the…Blue…Box….Blues…hehahe!” just as he finished speaking it was then that the voltage for the taser had stopped. Not knowing if it was because of the officer had released the trigger or because the battery ran out Bacchus lifted his head again and smiled to the officer, “Courts mean nothing to me, same with prisons.” Bacchus said weakly no longer laughing but trying to regain his strength so he could put up more of a fight if it was needed, “How long do you think your prisons could hold me? Death Row? More of a joke than the officers that showed their true colors before I painted their uniforms with their brains…
Ever since he was little Bacchus had a high tolerance for pain something he figured he should thank his father for but knew his way of thanks would just put dear old daddy in a hospital bed, but thanks to that high tolerance Bacchus was able to push himself up into a sitting position long enough for the shaking from the left over current that was soon dying down in his body. A grin now on his face as he looked at the officer an idea hatching in his head hoping it was enough to force the officer to make a mistake bad enough for Bacchus to escape. “How many of those people,” Bacchus pointed a weak yet still large hand at the gruesome scenery that was left from the dead officers, “were your friends? Hell these weren’t the first ones I killed, some of them must have been close to you right?” Bacchus laughed again trying to sound as evil and twisted as possible long enough to send the officer in a fit of rage.
Apparently remorse didn't exist for the man in front of him and Jacen could feel his back tensing as he looked at the man. Thanks to his SWAT ski-mask there would be no facial recognition but his eyes were more than telling enough. He despised the larger man that was now moving to sit up. No, despise wasn't a strong enough word. He absolutely hated this cop killing bastard. The Aussie needed to go to jail and be put in the deepest, darkest cell they could put him in!
"I'm new to the force so those guys are my brothers because they're cops. Not because they're my friends." Jacen replied with hesitation as his left hand slipped behind him to grab out one of the two pairs of hand cuffs he had in holders on his belt. Tossing the pair of cuffs to the other man, Jacen kept his finger ready to pull the trigger on his taser once again. He knew the specs on this particular weapon said the battery would last for aproximately ten minutes but how long had he been using it? Was it almost completely drained? Only about half way?
"Hands behind your back and slip those cuffs on." Jacen ordered as he watched the other man carefully. He really didn't expect the other man to comply easily and if he didn't then Jacen would just have to drain the Taser batter all of the way. Once it was drained it would be time for a little baton work to finish it up and then throw this idiot into the paddy wagon. "I wonder if anyone brought some of those shocking collars..."

“A Shame” Bacchus said not entirely thrilled that his plan to enthrall the officer to make a poor decision. His eyes trailing on the stun gun in the cops hand Bacchus followed the thin wires down all the way to his chest and debated yanking them out. As he was about to make his movement Bacchus watched as the officer tossed some handcuffs in his general direction as they clanked and bounced slightly onto the ground a few inches from him, “Put them on?” Bacchus asked his smile widening slightly, “Not that flexible, I mean look at my size! There is no way I can reach all the way to my back and cuff myself…” lied Bacchus as he made a quick movement and picked up the cuffs.
Slapping one cuff on his hand Bacchus made a failed attempt to try and cuff his other hand behind his back, “See not possible, could you do it for me? Bacchus asked as he reached a hand up and pulled the small barbs from his chest so the taser wouldn’t shock him like it was doing before. Small blotches of blood formed from where the barbs were. “Promise I’ll be good.” Bacchus said with a smirk as his back turned to the officer.
“It’s a shame you didn’t know the officers I killed to well,” Bacchus said in a dark tone, “then again I’d probably still know them better than you ever could, you see someone’s true character right before they die, a few were the good ones that kept fighting till the end but…” letting out a small chuckle Bacchus said as darkly as he could, “So many of them were cowards screaming and pleading, “I’ll do what ever you want please just don’t kill me!” Pathetic really, to think your supposed to be New York’s finest!” an eye over his shoulder told him where the office was a soon as the officer was close enough Bacchus would make his move.
Jacen was mentally cursing himself out as his eyes narrowed into dangerous looking slits. Why the hell had he hesitated? As soon as the Aussie had started to reach up for the barbs in his chest he should have pulled the trigger again but instead he had paused for that brief moment. Now he was stuck with a decision. Did he believe that Aussie when he said that he couldn't do the handcuffs or did he pull his weapon and blow the bastard to kingdom come?
"A murderer that keeps his promises? That I'll have to see." Jacen muttered as he slowly moved his hand to slip the taser back into its holster. For at least the moment the larger man was looking away and that was what Jacen wanted. Drawing his baton, Jacen moved forward swiftly and smoothly, staying as quiet as he could as he closed the distance. From his shere size even in human form it was obvious that this guy could put up one hell of a fight but Jacen really didn't plan on giving him the opportunity. As he lectured about how horrible New York's Finest were Jacen was already pulling back his arm and aiming for that perfect spot on the back of the neck where the spine meets the skull. It was perhaps one of those spots in the body that a personal wouldn't normally think of as a soft spot but really it was. With all the nerve clusters and blood vessels that were centered in that area, it was perfect for what he had planned.
"We'll have to see how you start begging when they sentence you to life in prison!" Jacen growled as he began his swing as soon as he was close enough. One firm blow to the back of the neck should be enough to stun the former giant and make him pliable enough to handcuff. Of course, all of that depended on the blow striking where it was supposed to.

This needed to hurry up and happen Bacchus waited patiently for the officer to make his move his senses now dulled to what he could assume was to the piggy seeing as nothing else around him would affect it like it was being affected. He waited for a sound or something to give him warning but as the mass chaos around him continued there wasn’t much that could be audible so turning his head slightly Bacchus spotted the officer with the nightstick approaching him and aiming a powerful swing. His hands behind him didn’t move however his weight and one of his feet did, however it wasn’t enough to completely dodge the fast coming impact the baton only coming inches away from the back of his neck.
”Horse shit…” Bacchus muttered as he fell to the ground and tumbled slightly the back of his skull now pulsing with pain as he bit his lip slightly his body still rolling away from the officer. He originally tried to cuff the officer to himself in an attempt to cut the distance between them making all of his strikes and the option of a gun all the more dangerous but much to his displeasure it didn’t work out the way he wanted it to.
”Police brutality, Police brutality, your all my witnesses!” Bacchus moaned in hopes someone would see what was happening and try to intervene long enough for him to get some distance so he could activate his mutation once again, ”It’s like you intentionally missed to beat me!” Bacchus said through gritting teeth his body still trying to laugh slightly despite the pain. His body no backed up against the boney wall behind him Bacchus’s vision started to blur from the hit he was given moments before. Guess it was a good hit… thought Bacchus trying to push himself further away from the officer until he passed out due to the strike he was dealt.
