The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was early morning in New York and Rick got up and did the same things that he did every single morning in an almost sleep walking state due to his monotonous routine. Showering, brushing, dressing and a lot more –things were being slowly fulfilled by the 23 year old mutant as he got ready for his day.
After buttoning his last few buttons he left his room only to find the mansion in an enormous ruckus as if the world was about to end. Out of the blue he was able to pick up that something was happening at King Pharmaceuticals from one of the people that ran past him. A smirk came across his face as the dullness of his life seemed to go away. ´
He went back into his room and opened the closet door pulling out his regular uniform. The silver attire that he usually used in his vigilante escapades was made up from a special matter that made it adapt to any powers he mimicked, unstable molecules.
After being dressed he climbed down the building and ran towards the city in the same manner as he usually did to avoid being seen be anyone.
In about half an hour he reached King Pharmaceuticals where he saw Cold Steel. He had seen him around the Mansion but he had no idea who or what position he held since he had never talked to him. In this situation he seemed like the man to talk to.
‘‘ So, what´s the situation? What’s the assignment?’’ He asked after getting near Steel. As he asked this a young girl across from them spoke to them. ‘‘Cute’’ he thought as he looked around and realized that the street was filling up with people ready for battle.
(OOC: Don't mind me, Hymn's just here for some crowd control or something )
The mansion ran empty as people where preparing for something. They all kept it quiet from the students though and everyone else that was still hang around the mansion. Cailyn however knew what was going down. They where going to fight, they where going to war. War against a something or someone who made a dangerous virus that worked on mutants for some reason. They where preparing for it for a day or two now and she knew where it was. She prepared herself by leaving the mansion and walk back into the city, looking for the place of interrest. She didn't figure that it was so easy to walk back into the city. She should have done this a while ago.
Instictivly she knew where to go somehow. If only she had the same sense of direction for the sanctuary. She passed by buildings, people and streets without ever realizing where she was actually going, she was just going like she had a purpose. The whispers directed her, directed her to the building of interrest. She somehow feared what was being made in that building, like she had seen the future and what it could do. Weird to say the least. But most things where considered weird when she was involved.
She arrived at the building in a day. King Pharmaceuticals it was called. She was standing across the street from it watching it , waiting for it to happen. Could she be usefull to the cause , or was she just in the way she did not know. All she knew was that she had to stand up for once and look at what people would do to people like her.
After a while she saw people arriving. She was in trance, the whispers where guiding her, controlling her. She recognized the person walking in. An order member she met at the sanctuary called Isabell. She just stood there out of this world. Soon other people arrived. She wasn't noticed seemingly. More and more people arrived, some should be familiar, others wouldn't be. It did not matter. Cailyn wasn't standing there. It was Hymn, her powers that where controlling her. She was here to observe for the time being, until she would need to act.
Now that, right there, was a laugh. Did he know what he was doing? Hells no. He just knew what he wasn’t doing: playing make believe. Mr. Rogers was dead. That was the first fact of the day.
>> "You're the one that brought me to the mansion. You're the one that introduced me to the X-Men. I can't believe you'd do something like this on a whim so what is it... what's your reasoning for going against your friends?"
“Now that’s just the heart of the problem, isn’t it?” The teenager asked, with a smile twitching at his lips. “None of you are my friends. If you were my friends, maybe you’d—I don’t know—know something about me.” Memories and not-so-memories stormed in his head, tangling up with each other. “Like maybe the little fact that I’ve had a room in the Sanctuary for longer than I’ve lived at the Mansion.” This was true. “Or, hey, how about this: I’m a spy. I used to work for the Kabal’s old leader. That’s why I joined the X-Men: to spy on you.” Also true. “Oh, and that birthday brawl? That was me. I planned it. Me and my car-like acquaintance stole the Golden doors, and brought them to you.” Very, very true. “Did you like them? How do you like this: I killed two men. But no one over in Mansionland seems to care, because hey—they were ‘bad guys’.”
“Newsflash, Wraith Jacobs: so am I.”
That, ‘friends’, was also a fact. It felt damn good to finally say, to all their shining faces. Not even Neena had known all that. That was the thing, wasn’t it? He’d only told one person: Abyss. Maybe someday, he’d tell Katrina. Those were his friends. These people? They were the friends of someone who didn’t exist. Someone clean.
A girl came up to him. Aura. It took him a second to place her, given her justice-endowed miniskirt. All in all, he approved. He’d met her when he was playing around at the Sanctuary as Miles; now he nodded to her, amiably enough.
>> "Looks like we will share this dance. One way, one path, Loyelty is life"
Calley returned her smile for a grin. “You’re barking at the wrong cat, if you want loyalty. But I’m game on the dance. Got a preference for partners? Right now I’m leaning towards Blind-and-Sympathetic, over there.”
Luke Jacobs. He liked the guy. And maybe the guy liked him. That might be why, right now, all he wanted to do was hurt the man. Hurt him until he realized just what the hell Caleb Swartz was really made of. Maybe then he could tell Calley.

Yawning as the wind rushed against his face as he continued to fly on one of the rock mutants motorcycles, Bacchus truly started to wonder why the mutant had left the keys in the hanger after he had taken his bikes without second thought, it was almost as if they were asking to be stolen something that Bacchus was more than willing to do. Switching gears Bacchus continued on his path to the King pharmaceutical labs, he was supposed to meet up with Isabel there but something told him his destination was the front door. With a turn of the bike and the subtle lean of the body Bacchus turned at the high speed he was going and lost control of his weight placement ever so slightly.
The tumble started after his body hardened one revolution then another then ten between his body buffering the ground and the bike large marks and dents were put into the blacktop as oil gave off the look of blood spraying all over the pavement. As soon as the bike and Bacchus landed into the side of the KP building and left a large dent from the wall he pulled himself upright and then tossed the motorcycle aside like it was nothing Bacchus pulled his flask out took a swig and casually dusted himself off as he walked away from the now flaming mess that would soon turn explosive.
Not realizing he was still covered in motor oil and small bits of gasoline Bacchus frowned slightly as he noticed that patches of his shirt had caught fire. “Shit!” yelled Bacchus as the motorcycle behind him blew up scattering bits of the wreckage about not really making a huge mess. Disappointed it didn’t total a city block like it did in the movies he continued to pat his shirt out until he decided that it was becoming more trouble than it was worth.
Puffing out his chest slightly Bacchus’s shirt bulged slightly and blew apart at random leaving nothing on the body. Taking another swig of the flask Bacchus causally walked over to the front entrance just in time to hear the one called Calley’s speech, “Bit depressing mate…” he said simply as he looked to the woman who could give off that pink aura. Nodding his head slightly as he stepped up the stairs, ”I’ll take whoever isn't called!” he said simply ignoring the fact that the one behind him looked a hell of a lot like Slate.
It was the bosses orders after all to get into the orders ranks and he figured that this fight would be perfect to get a jump start on that thing they called loyalty. Turning his large back to both calley and Aura he pulled out another sip from his flask shook his head slightly and then smiled to the people in front of them hoping that someone could give him a decent time.

Wowwwww. Things were really starting to heat up, Tarin couldn’t help but think as people started throwing verbal barbs back and forth from the stairs that seemingly led into the building. One of the people looked shockingly like Slate, but there was something wrong with the way he was speaking.
People were riding up on motorcycles, and all other manner of vehicle, and Tarin recognized the guy who had put in the security system at the shop as he climbed off of one of them. “Uh Lee…” he whispered, “Isn’t that guy supposed to be blind?” Before his wife could answer, though, and explosion rang out and a rather large looking, bare-chested man joined the others on the stairs.
Luke Jacobs shouted at the boy-who-could-be-Slate, apparently his name was Calley, and Slate’s mention of a twin pulled its way to the forefront of Tarin’s mind. Calley yelled back and Luke and Tarin recognized that as a blatant challenge at about the same time a familiar rushing sound filled his ears. Apparently the giant had brought friends.
It only took a few moments of concentration for Tarin to pull the spirits towards him, they were always interested when he was around and there were lots of them. Probably ten to fifteen in all. They hadn’t died prettily either at the hands of the giant. Tarin grinned darkly. “Hold on to your hat darlin’” He said to Lee, then slowly pulled out the sunglasses he’d tucked into his pocket when they’d left the apartment.
Eyes covered and spirits gathering, Tarin held the links firmly in hand and addressed the invisible crowd, “Alright you guys.” He said, “I know you’re all in the market for a heaping helping of revenge. I’m ready to help you get it…but, there’s rules to this game, and anyone who can’t follow them, doesn’t play. Are we clear?”
There was a general nod of consent from the wailing, moaning, and complaining mass that kept sending pictures of exploding brains into Tarin’s head and he nodded his head. “Good…because I’ll wink you out of existence like this…” he said snapping his fingers for emphasis, “If you harm one hair on the head of a single person working with me. That’s rule number one.”
Tarin thought for a minute, trying to puzzle out exactly what rule number two was going to be, then nodded slowly, “Rule number two. No killing. We’re only going for incapacitation, unless I specifically say..” There were protests at this as a few of the spirits cast venomous glares in the direction of the giant, Tarin shrugged. “Hey, I’ll go wait in the cab and you guys can keep on following around the guy who popped your heads like grapes.” They quieted. “That’s what I thought.” The medium said, but severed his connection with the three most grumpy looking spirits just to be safe. Needless to say, they were pissed, but Tarin managed to block them out with little trouble, he couldn't risk any loose cannons, he was holding things together on a scale he'd never tried before.
“Rule number three. If you see a member of our group in trouble…you get them out of it before doing anything else...and most importantly, rule number four. You wreak havoc when...and where I say.” Again, wails and moans of compliance. “Then, my friends, we have a deal. Nobody attacks until they make the first move, though.”
Tarin turned to Lee and grinned, he felt hella god, strong. He’d be able to pull any of the spirits back who got overzealous or didn’t follow his instructions...at least he thought he would, “I think the good guys could use some back up Lee, what do you say?"
That said, Tarin turned and made his way stand next to security installer extraordinaire Luke Jacobs, a group of semi-solid humanoid beings coming into visible space behind him as he walked.
“Mr. Jacobs.” He said, “It looks like you could use a hand with this rabble. Mind if we join?”

If a match were lit, Shin swore it would ignite the corners of his bed. The scent of sake was still fresh in the back of his throat. The pounding of the hangover melted into his brain with the remnant beat of the technotronic arcade. Pachinko pings panged with pain. ‘Why was it so fresh?’ He wondered. The scent still ignited his senses, but as the morning wore on and he staggered to the bathroom mirror, rubbing his hand over his face, he caught his reflection and wondered… nothing about it gave any clues of drinking.
He was still in his white tank top and shorts from the night before. The scent of soap and running water beat out the lick of liquor, and though lyrics hammered on the tip of his tongue, he didn’t remember leaving the mansion the night before to do any clubbing. As he stumbled out of the bathroom, towel draped over his clean-shaven neck, the X-communicator on his bedside table went off. He blinked at it, toothbrush dangling stupidly out the corner of his mouth. “Whasshat?”
It had been a while since he’d received the disc-shaped yellow doohickey from Streak for becoming an X-men trainee. In the hustle and bustle of day-to-day living, he’d forgotten about it. Thor raised his white and gray head to look at the lamp. His tongue lolled out and he panted. Shin bent over to ruffle behind Thor’s ears as he grabbed the communicator. Holding it up in front of him at a distance, he eyed it as he went for the food dish. Kibble rattled off into the dish like a summer downpour. Thor sprung to his feet and made a valiant charge for the meal. His toe nails skittered across the floor. Shin pulled a chair up in front of him and sat in it, dropping his arms over the back as he turned the communicator in his hands. His fingers slid over a button and Sam’s voice cracked through the air.
Shin sat there a moment as the fan in his room turned, listening. The hairs of his arms stood on end. There was trouble. This was his first real mission as an X-men trainee… and he didn’t know where King’s Pharmaceuticals was. Thor raised his head from the silver food bowl to watch the quick scurrying as Shin rushed to tug on black pants and a belt. A silver line caught the light in a sheen of shiny pants as he bent over to tie the laces on his calf-high boots. Strings jerked into place in a double-knot. Over the white undershirt, a black leather coat swung into place. The teeth of the zipper tore up in a swift slice. As a final touch, he twisted a studded bracelet on over his right wrist. The communicator slipped into the right pocket of his coat as he walked towards the door, decked out in battle greens so dramatically.
It only took him a second after he exited the doorway, shining there in the hallway as students rushed by, before he realized he had no ride. “Um…” He strained his neck left, then right, searching. It was a usual busy day at the mansion, and students were hobbling off to classes with toast between their teeth and textbooks balanced in arms. A few girls stifled laughter as they passed Shin by. He rubbed the back of his head and offered a weak grin. “Yeah, I do look a little silly, don’t I?” It was like in Yu Gi Oh, when the Pharoah first decided to appear in Battle City, and for his big debut, made a young high school boy deck himself out in leather with too many zippers to count. His head pounded as he made his way to the kitchen. He needed something to eat before he could think today…
As he stumbled through the kitchen doors on his way to make toast, he glanced at the stove top, cautiously weighing the pros and cons of waffles. That’s about the time he tripped over Ghost.
There were a few people from the mansion that Lee recognized, Sam in particular, and Luke was even there. But there were also a number of people present whom Lee didn't recognize.
But before she had gone more than a few steps from where the cab had let them out, Lee felt Tarin grabbing her hand, pulling her around to face him. Normally kisses this passionate were not meant to be shared in public, though that didn't mean that Matt, the bartender at their favourite bar, hadn't seen many like it. However, in this situation, the kiss felt very different, sent a different kind of flutter through Lee's stomach, made her feel more nervous.
When Tarin finally pulled away, Lee simply looked up into his eyes for a few more moments. "I love you too," she said softly, though her voice was full of emotion.
But things just had to be alright. They'd managed to get through their trip to Columbia, despite everything that had happened to them while they'd been there, they had to make it through this. Just had to.
And that's when she saw yet another person she knew, someone very familiar, walking between the people Lee was standing near. Her first thought was that it had to be Slate, he'd been the one who called them, telling them to come because there was going to be trouble. Lee was expecting to see Slate there.
But the teenager didn't stop. Instead, he kept walking, taking up a position facing them near the building with a smile on his face. But, Slate didn't smile this much. Lee had gotten to know the guy better when they were down in Columbia, but there, and back at the mansion when he had been trying to help Tarin, Lee had never seen him smile this much.
Calley, his twin brother, on the other hand, had had a wide smile on his face half the time when she had been talking to him. It had to be Calley.
That was a thought that was intensified when she heard the teen speak, saying that they'd have to go through him to get to the Haywire samples.
Lee just blinked. He couldn't be serious. It wasn't as if she really knew Calley all that well, really not all that well at all, but she didn't think he'd stand defending something like this.
And Luke seemed just as shocked by this as she was, if not more so. But at least he seemed of the opinion that it was Calley. It had to be Calley. Lee couldn't imagine that Slate would send them here to try and help destroy Haywire, and then stand in opposition to them himself.
Things were now really getting out of hand quickly. More people were joining Calley out front of the building, and Calley's own words were shocking to say the least.
Then things started moving even faster than they had been. Tarin spoke, and Lee glanced over at him, about to ask what he was talking about, but he was pulling sunglasses out of his pocket, speaking, though with what he was saying, Lee was sure it wasn't to anyone she could currently see.
She wasn't going to be able to talk him out of what he was about to do, Lee knew. With how things were shaping up at the moment, she knew that she couldn't really afford to try, either. All Lee could do was hope that her husband would be able to keep tight enough control on the spirits.
The rules Tarin was laying out sounded more than fair to Lee, but then again, she was always nervous when he was dealing with spirits like he was; she'd seen too many cases already where things didn't go so well. But he seemed sure of himself in this case, and Lee was going to have to worry about things with her own powers, so she turned to face the people opposite them. But how was she going to get the energy to start off with? She couldn't take it from Tarin, not when she knew that he was working with spirits like this. And she couldn't really take it from the people who were to be her allies in this, they'd need their energy too.
It was going to be harder this time than it had been in Columbia, though, than it had been when they'd been taken hostage. For one, these were all most likely mutants as well. Two, she knew Calley. That in itself was going to make things harder.
Finally, Tarin seemed done with the spirits and turned to her. Nodding her head in agreement, Lee walked forward with her husband up to where Luke was standing. As she came to a stop, Lee glanced around and saw just how many spirits Tarin had made visible. Her face paled as she turned to look at him even as they were waiting for Luke's answer.
"Holy shit, Tarin," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "Are you sure you've got a handle on all of them?"

Meld was both excited and apprehensive to have awoken to a call to make her way towards KP and to prepare for trouble. On the one hand she had been long awaiting her first official task as a member of The Order but on the other hand she had no idea what was going on or what kind of trouble she should be preparing for. She remembered hearing a little bit about KP but nothing specific. Whatever the underlying reason for this task, however, she knew that it was important and she knew that it would be her chance to definitively prove her worth to The Order.
Meld slowly got dressed, breathing deeply as she did so, trying to get herself into the correct state of mind, a state of perfect control and perfect concentration. By the tone of the call she knew that this was not going to be just any task and she would need to be up to her peak self. Nothing else would suffice and anything less could very well get her or those she fought alongside killed.
Very deliberately Meld exited her room, noting as she approached the Sanctuary doors that there appeared to be very few people left inside. In her mind that only increased the perceived threat; if that many mutants were involved from their side she could only imagine what kind of threat they might be facing from whoever their enemies might be. She wished, briefly, that she had been given more information but there was nothing to be done about that now. Hopefully, if things went well, her standing would increase within The Order and she would be able to demand such information in the future.
Meld opted to take the subway as close to KH as she could get, her usual mode of transportation, barely noting that the humans milling around her were giving her an even wider berth than usual; perhaps due to her new metal arm or perhaps due to her unusual intensity. She left the subway a couple of blocks short of KH and walked the rest of the way, stopping stunned some way off to see the large amount of individuals, mutants she presumed, some of which she recognized and most of which she did not, who were all present.
"Crap," Meld muttered quietly to herself, once again wishing that someone had deigned to give her a little more information before sending her off. Taking a moment, she approached Aura, inclining her head towards her. The two of them had sparred before and had also fought together in the past. Meld respected and liked her and felt that, if anyone could effectively watch her back, Aura could. "Watch each other's backs," Meld spoke to her friend.
Already inside the KP building long before anyone else had arrived Syn had taken steps to try to save her wonderful creation. From her office she also had the opportunity to view the gathering outside. Syn recognized most of the figures while others were new. For a brief moment she paused and activated the audio just in time to hear a teenaged boy shout out about living in Sanctuary, being a spy, instegating the brawl over the golden doors and various other news flashes. He was someone she wanted to speak with if he survives. The makings of a massive scale fight was brewing. This would make all previous battles look like a game of tag.
Seeing Isabel and Aura present reassured Syn that they would do their best to defend the buidling, but a little extra help couldn't hurt. Now was when Syn did something no one would ever expect from the wicked girl. She contacted the Mayor directly and informed him of the situation and how she wanted it handled. Remembering the last vist the Mayor had from three of the Order ladies his best option was to comply.
Next Syn ordered the KP security forces to do a number of tasks. First, call the police and inform them that there are mutants trespassing on private property and they are being threatening. Second, they would place themselves between the Order members, and those standing with them, and try to talk to opposing mutants to leave. Thirdly, they were not to use any form of deadly force as any attacks on them would only serve to come back on the assailants later on. With all that done Syn moved to confront Seizure and Sebastian.
Who the hell was this kid in front of her? Some little boy with some serious issues who thought he was some kind of ingenious spy that just thumped all of the warriors with his cunning, yet quite untimely, story of his intelligence. To make things even more nerving, people seemed to be bringing up some emotional times. This Calley person was all crying about his not-friends and some of the X-Men even seemed to be joining in on a 'what the hell?' streak.
"Alright, I don't give a damn who you are, crazy kiddo," she knew she was his age, but right now, they were about to fight and he was unraveling his plan for total world domination? "You're on our side, or you aren't, no pity parties, I'm sick of this," she growled.
Who gave a shit? That was one thing that she hated, emotions running into places they needed to stay out of. Battles, for one, just get them out of your way, if you like the person you're fighting with, don't kill them, for that fact, try not to kill anyone, but don't cry about it before a fight. Looking around, she saw a few members of her side that were already preparing for battle and Fade turned back to this boy in front of her and raised an eyebrow.
She'd lived through battles before, she could fight, she'd do it again. Just in case, she made it so that anything that was thrown at her would phase right through. This fight needed to get started, she was sick of talking. Isabel had been in the last battle, some kind of bone manipulation and that Syn girl and Amp and Vibe. Where was everyone that she once fought? It seemed that not only had the good guys grown and changed, open for so many people she did not recognize, but even the dark side had different faces. This fight was going to have a lot of surprises, so might as well get it over with.
Looking over at the one who had spoken up, this Luke, Fade simply put her hand on his shoulder for only a second before releasing it. "Your friends stand by your side, best of luck to you," she nodded, giving him some reassurance before the battle. Everyone needed a friendly face. Finally, she turned back to Calley and spoke. "Come on, kiddo, you got any bite or are you just all bark?" she smirked.
((don't mind if I jump in, it seems you need more haywire guards))
Dreams were something that people that did not like their life had, nightmares were something that Ahorta had, only she had these nightmares in her daily sense of reality. In the middle of the night, she had a very strange dream. While most people have dreams where they descend to an alternate reality, Ahorta's dream made her walk in reality, without her problems, just the world. Waking from her dream, she splashed water on her face and made her way around her room.
It was not exactly the time of the day to leave the room, who knew if it was day after all? Her windows were blacked out anyways. Since no one was around and she had been settling down, the day was full of washing her clothes quite thoroughly, so she was wearing absolutely nothing except her mask. Slowly moving around the room, she had put down saran wrap on the floor so if anyone was to move too fast in her room, it would wrap around their legs, she hung up the rest oh her clothes over her shower ring. Footsteps from out of her room started to sound. It did not really seem like that much to get excited about, but after a while, plenty of people started walking through the halls and she became curious.
Slowly, she unlocked all of her bolts on her door and opened it to peer outside. Someone passed her room, one person that was familiar: Meld. Confused, Ahorta leapt back into her room and grabbed a shirt and pants. Walking out of the room, she was still pulling on her pants and she followed Meld. Her criminal friend made her way to the subways and Ahorta followed still, not looking out the window as all of the lights passed quickly, it would make her have a panic attack.
Strangely, she brought her to some odd battlefield. People were lined up on all sides and Meld seemed to take the smaller side. Well, she had not had any kind of fun in a while, it was time to breathe some fresh air, as long as it was not contagious fresh air. Moving her way over to Meld, she stood at her side, her clothes all in a mess and her mask over her face.
Breathing heavily, she saw a few of the members of the opposing side start talking amongst themselves, one girl even touched another one, hooker. Redheaded prostitute. One was even a giant silver man, like a shot, like a shot of some kind of poison that could be injected in her system, stabbed through her blood and dissolved into her blood. They were there to kill her, they were angry, vermin filled with maggots and worms and pure disgust. The more she thought about it, the more they became exactly what she feared.
Lined in front of them, there was a clown, dressed up with poofy hair and blood running down his face. That bright red ball on his nose was intimidating and his big feet, he could crush her underneath them. Next to him was a prostitute, dressed up in black lace with vibrant red lips that matched that damned clown's nose. Next to him, there was a giant snake and a pile of worms that were fighting over the remnants of some of the blood that had dripped from the clown's head.
"OH GOD! YOU WHORE! YOU DIRTY ROTTEN WHORE! TAKE THAT BIGGLESMON AND SCREW HIM TOO!" she screamed, grabbing at her hair and sinking to her knees. Her appearance was probably not needed, but right now, she had tunnel vision on everyone in front of her, and they were growing in numbers. Finally, she had cracked because she saw one of them move. It didn't matter what they were doing or why they were here, they needed to be exterminated. Growling, she took off her shoe and threw it as hard as she could at the clown, screaming the whole time.
((I know...a shoe...but that's all that's around her right now...))
"Those words are echoes of my first charge, a code i live by, i can not expect others to adhere by it, but i lack a prefrence in targets, i only know frosty over thare, the snowman tried to turn me in" she said witha smile looking over the opposeing side, their numbers seemed to be increaseing at a quicker rate then their own. It did not matter however, her orders were clear and she would follow them until she was no longer able to do so. She let her Aura appear visable, making her quite easy to see as she scanned their opponets, their were even a numbe rof ghosts. She was waiting for things to start, after all the longer they waited the better their chances of saveing the formula. Ginats bane walked up to help them and felt better, she thought the guy was poor to work with, but he did seem to enjoy ocombat and Aura had witnessed how effective they were in combat, She was happy to have him on their side, it certainly aided the cuase. "Pick who you like, Calley has whichever one is blind" she said witha shrug having no idea who calley ahd been referring to. Meld then Appeared as well, and Aura felt even better she could cont on Ginats bane to fight but she knew meld worked better ina team at least from her experince. They had done a number of things together all ready from cop killing to bank robbing.
"It seems fate has destined us to dance together often, and yes if they attack we shall bury every one of them" she said to meld seriously, she was quite prepared to fight, she hoped she found somone who fought close range, after all she was best at that range. ZThings were lookign a bit better now, she hoped abyss would make a showing, he could turn th tides from what she heard of him, she did wnat to see his strength in action. She watched as securrity took up potions between the two forces and smiled, now theit opponets would have to play the heros, this gave them the atvantage. Still it seemed as if the path had already been set. Then a new face enterd the field and she seemed just a bit off screaming about whores and cloawns, Aura was confused, even as the girl grabbed at her ahir then thre her shoe, it was strange, but as long as she did no harm to them it was fine, Aura wonderd if the crazy lady was a mutant.

Luke's face was obvious shock as his sightless eyes stared at the young man and his sonar focused on him. What had made Calley change so completely? More important how had Luke missed the signs? He was supposed to be an expert at reading body language. How had he missed that something was up with Calley?
In the back of his mind Luke was monitoring everything around him and so he wasn't particularly surprised by Tarin's approach but even with sonar that pretty much gave him eyes in the back of his head he couldn't help but be slightly shocked by all of the spirits that suddenly manifested into some sort of solid form.
"I think we're gonna need all the help we can get." Luke replied quietly as he tried to come up with some sort of response to Calley. What could you say to someone in this position? What could you do to show them just how wrong they were with the choice they had made? Right at that moment Fade set her hand on his shoulder and gave him at least some word of encouragement. A quick nod was his own reply.
There was no choice... the mission to get into this building and destroy this so called "Haywire" virus was just to important. Any other day, any other battle Luke would have focused on trying to talk Calley down from the position he had taken but there just wasn't time for that now.
"Calley, I have no clue what the hell you're talking about." Luke spoke up, his voice suddenly emotionless and all business as he focused on the mission, "I never heard about you killing two men but I understand how you feel. I've killed before and I hate having to descend to that choice. Even if a person is a "bad guy" they have a right to live. Those deaths will haunt you for the rest of your life but that doesn't mean you have to let them control your existance!"
Taking a step forward, Luke moved out in front of the X-Men, a serious and dedicated expression on his face. "We're going to get in there and we're going to complete the mission. I don't want to hurt you Calley and I'll regret it if I do, but if you stand between me and this mission then you're the one deciding your fate. Not me."
Two sides....So many people, nay, mutants, facing off against each other. This would not end well, could not end well. Unless someone got them talking sense and not anger. He saw Wraith on one side. At least the guy was wearing wraith's belt, and it seemed his name was Jacob or something from what his 'friend' had called out to him. The was the ice guy he had helped on Wall Street. Flynn thought of just going over to them; but the words the 'spy' had said had made him stop.
His friend Meld was on the other line. She had helped him foil that bank robbery. The members of Sanctuary weren't evil, he had been told as much by Isabel. They worked for the betterment of mutant kind the director had told him. He hadn't gotten a good vibe from that guy as it was, but first impressions aren't always the right ones.
That was when the Beatles song started to ring in his head. "Come together...Right now...Over me." Well there was no time like the present. He had sent the call out to Ranger as he had followed Icy's frozen slide to King Pharmaceuticals. Flynn hoped that his buddy had gotten the voice mail. He had never imagined he would be coming up on a mutant face off. Diffusing this situation would take more than just one lone voice he feared.
Stepping out into the center of he battle lines being drawn, Hyde surveyed the two sides. There were more people on Wraith's side, although the company's security force was laid out in a aggressive prevention pattern. With their weaponry they could possibly make a bloody mess of things very quickly and who even knew if there was some sort of automated defense system in place as well. He scanned the security guys for any sort of badge that might keep automatic systems from targeting them.
A shoe flying from one of the sides smacked into him. To most it appeared as if it smacked a wall offorce and dropped to the ground. He dropped his invisibility, rubbing his shoulder. His black and blue uniform covered him like a second skin. His gun was holstered; but filled with tranquilizer rounds Ranger had given him. Nine shots left, he thought to himself. He threw his arms out both ways, toward each group of adversaries. He spun himself around three hundred and sixty degrees.
"Come on guys, Can't we all just get along? Why don't we all just calm down and have a movie night? I'm dying to see that new Transformers movie...Bumblebee really cracks me up. By the way, for those that don't know me, I'm HYDE So let's just settle down before this turns ugly."
((OOC Note: this is a compilation post. Shin wrote his parts, I wrote Ghosts))
Every single day, the same arrangement, Ghost went out and fought the good fight back at the bookstore. Still she always felt a strange estrangement, nothing here was real, nothing here was right. She made shows of trading blows in the Danger Room, but she didn't really like it. Even at Raina's Birthday party, she hadn't really participated much. She just hoped no one noticed that she was kind of riding the X-men's coattails on certain issues. Especially the ones that involved direct confrontation.
But those were thoughts for people awake. People who had non-broken or recently replaced X-communicators, and certainly for people who were not sleeping on the kitchen floor.
Ghost lay with her face against the wooden floor. Her arms curled around the kitchen table rug. One leg was threaded through the rungs between chair legs and the other was precariously balanced on the seat of a kitchen chair. Mansion residents stepped around her as if it were a common occurrence. And really it was, though usually she made it a little closer to bed. Maybe sleeping on the stairs or couch or hallway somewhere. She slept rather soundly for all the noise going on, but one thing she just couldn't seem to ignore... a kick to the shoulder.
She didn't pop up and awake like a poptart out of a toaster. No, she sniffled and rolled slowly before reclaiming her tingling still asleep leg and smoothing her skirt. Hmmm. She'd fallen out of her chair. Ghost scrubbed her eyes and looked up at her assailant. "Oh." She blinked again and it was still Shin standing up there. "Hi."
"Hi." Shin blinked back. "Do you sleep like that often?" But that wasn't important now. He shifted his attention, reaching into his pocket to fish out the X-Communicator, and held it in front of him like a police badge. The X-shaped lines on the yellow disc flashed bright red. "It seems we're wanted at King's Pharmaceuticals right now... think you could fly us there?"
"Huh?" Ghost yawned into her fist. King Pharmaceuticals? She'd never heard of it. The blinking X did seem rather insistent though. "Yeah... fill me in on the way?"
