I like the idea of a morality switch. Seems wicked cool.

Rhythm: interesting idea. There could possibly be a way to make it without Reality Bending. I actually did have an idea of my own that centers around the idea of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Basically here is the premise: There is a group of cultists called the Knights of the Ragnarok that have been operating throughout history. Originally they attempted to ready the souls of mankind which were supposed have ascended to heaven back in the early 1800s. But when that prophecy never came about, they slipped into madness and depression. Now, feeling that their end of days was supposed to have come out in the 1800s, they seek to make it happen by any means necessary now, this includes the use of mutants. In early 1905, a sect of the Knights of the Ragnarok in upstate New York, discovered four mutants born to a single community. These four mutants contained truly terrifying abilities that fit the criteria of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Taking this as a sign, they utilized the talents of one of their own mutant followers to induce the four mutants into a deep sleep, only to be awoken when the time was ready. It is now 2011 and the Knights of the Ragnarok have deemed it time to unleash the four mutants upon the world. And they will start with New York. Anyways, pretty basic plot. Just stop the big bad muties, or either join up with them, or attempt to hire them to one of the other groups. They last remember in being in 1905 so they will suffer both a culture and moral shock. Not all of them want to be used as weapons, while others take delight in harming others. Just a pretty fledgling idea. If people are interesting, I can flesh it out more.
